  1. Remember V0 Gallagher’s wonderful 250% BE cap? Yeah well now do the same for Boothill and add another 50%
break effect subs will be his most valuable by a decent margin it seems, and he’ll want a break rope too

  3. 2.2 beta pack has been decrypted before the beta server to even go online.

Robin and Boothill were almost the same as the leak despite having some details different. Both are interesting and powerful units that worth building and playing with, but neither is a powercreeper. Their light cones are insanely powerful though.

Harmony Trailblazer’s mechanic is different from the previous leak. Rather than FUA and the fancy secondary toughness bar, they allows themself and the teammates to force proc a fraction of their break damage when they attack an enemy. The force proc fraction is based on the toughness damage of the attack. They also have a teamwide buff of break effect that is consistant, sharing a portion of their break effect to their teammates. They are the absolute center of a break damage oriented team.

    • The event light cone is a 4-star Nihility, giving off a generous 16% crit rate and 48% crit damage. The crit rate part is consistant and the crit damage part requires the target to be either def-reduced or speed-reduced.

There is another gatcha 4-star Harmony light cone that is Robin’s 4-star option.

      • That nihility LC looks too good to be event, I wonder if it might be gacha since the previous perseveration 4* event LC turned out to be gacha only. Do you know how the numbers scale with superimpositions?

Also Acheron LC banner pullers who don’t follow leaks would be pretty upset if they found out they wasted tickets on GNSW superimpositions/signature LC due to feeling obliged to with no other options currently.

    • Robin deals Physical additional damage when an ally launches an attack when her territory is active. The damage is ~60% of Robin’s attack. The damage has 100% crit rate and 150% crit damage and Robin’s crit stats are ignored. This mechanic sounds like the previous leak of Jade’s kit. Maybe Jade’s kit have been changed since that, too.

      • hmm. I see Robin has a mechanic for getting Energy without taking turns (so she can work towards getting her ult while the thing is still active), but will she be generating any skill points while ulting? that’s… kind of rough if not.

I hope something is done for that, she’s a team buffer that wants multiple damage dealers, but they need skill points to take advantage of her…

    • Kit seems decent on paper, but there are, at least for me, too many unknowns before I give a proper opinion.

Mainly, what happens to his ult when we use it and transform? Can we gain energy in the enhanced state, possibly maintaining it with very little downtime by ulting immediately after it finishes? Or can he not gain energy in his enhanced state? For the former, he seems very strong assuming a decent ultimate cost.

The speed boost and potential action advances in ult combined seem strong, but I also expect that he may guzzle SP with enhanced skill with these boosts.

      • True there’s a lot of unknowns so far
The oldest iteration I saw of this kit stated he couldn’t gain energy in ult. however the current version only seems to say his extra energy from talent doesn’t work
My assumption would be he has a 140 ult and ends up with 1 to 2 turns of downtime (similar to Jingliu) but that’s just a guess
As for whether his enhanced skill consumes SP is just something to be found out later
        His synergies rn are definitely:
        harmony:
RM for BE, spd and dmg%
Asta for spd if you don’t own an action advancer
Sparkle/Bronya so he can move at effectively 161 spd
        Nihility:
Jiaoqiu for ult dmg and def, as well as healing
        Sustain:
Huohuo for good old constant healing. energy and atk
My current team idea is Sam RM Huohuo Sparkle

        • I’m currently assuming that his enhanced skill will consume SP, or otherwise I can’t think of a good reason to have both an enhanced skill and basic. The skill is just better, with blast and advance if weakness broken.

I would add for synergies that depending on how the damage taken to energy conversion works, Lynx (especially at high eidolon) could be a budget Huohuo.

However, I am curious as to what your thoughts about Sparkle/Bronya. Under my assumption of high SP consumption, I don’t think Bronya would be sustainable for most comps. I think the options boil down to Atk% boots with Sparkle, or you lean into the speed boost and advance with Asta where you could hit bursts of over 200 speed depending on what his numbers are. The 3rd option would be to run some other support unit for some niche, such as Silver Wolf for E0 weakness implant, Harmony Trailblazer (leaks on their kit along with Robin/Boothill beta??), or Jiaoqui (who is far in the future so idk).

          • Yes. If Sam’s enhanced skill uses SP then you may not be able to afford using Bronya’s skill every turn.

Also, Sam has a flat speed boost after his transformation and the speed boost is very likely to go waste when team with Sparkle. We don’t know how much speed he gains but if he had around 135 speed after his transformation, it would be pity to outright neglect the huge speed boost.

          • If Sam can reasonably reach 160 (which with Ruan Mei means 150 or so) spd without Sparkle then he’ll be able to run without her, which frees her up for another team, and means Sam can use another amplifier (Jiaoqiu sounds incredible as their support)
Personally I have RM and E1 Huohuo so Sam would only need 138 spd (assuming 100 base) during ult, given 25 from boots and that they likely have a high base spd I can easily free up Sparkle for my 1nd team
so my idea is Sam + Jiaoqiu + Ruan Mei + Huohuo

    • I think Sam will be decently strong. Finally having a 5 star fire destruction character is also huge.

For me personaly. Sam is a easy skip regardless of kit and strengh because im not a Mecha fan.
You guys can have fun with him for me 🙂

      • Absolutely. Early in 1.0 everyone was raving about how hunt was the premier dps path because the only endgame content (MoC) was bosses and elites, which hunts excel at.

The issue now is that hunts are weak in PF and most of our recent MoC bosses were designed to sell the units released around the same time. It’s why the bug is weak to imaginary (DHIL) and ice (Jingliu) even though in Swarm Disaster it doesn’t have ice weakness.

  6. Boothill’s early kit.

    5-star Physical Hunt

    Basic Attack:
    Physical damage, single target.

    Enhanced Basic Attack:
    Physical damage, single target.
The break efficiency of the attack is increased by +100% for each stack of “Reforged” that Boothill has.
Unspecified condition to furtherly increase the break efficiency and break damage.

    Skill:
Target enemy gains the “Mark of the Duel”.
Boothill enters Duel phase, lasts some turns, he has access to Enhanced Basic Attack. Then he takes an extra turn.
When Boothill is at Duel phase, he and the enemy with “Mark of the Duel” mutually has vulnerability to the damage from each other, and may only choose the other as the target of their attacks.
At the begining of Boothill’s turn, if no enemy that has the “Mark of the Duel”, he quits Duel phase.

    Ultimate:
Target enemy gains Physical weakness, lasts some turns, then Boothill deals Physical damage to it.
Delay the target’s next action based on Boothill’s break effect.

    Talent:
Whenever an enemy with “Mark of the Duel” dies, Boothill quits Duel phase and gains 1 stack of “Reforged”.
Each stack of “Reforged” grants some break effect. It is stackable and has an upper limit but lasts indefinitely.

    Technique:
When battle starts, Boothill deals Physical damage to an enemy with lowest HP. The damage is treated as Basic Attack damage.
If the target is killed this way, Boothill gains 1 stack of “Reforged”.

    Major Traces:
    – Boothill gains crit damage +% that is equal to a fraction of his break effect.
    – Boothill takes fewer damage from enemies without the “Mark of the Duel”.
    – Whenever an enemy with the “Mark of the Duel” is weakness broken, if it’s an Elite enemy or higher, it loses the “Mark of the Duel” and Boothill quits Duel phase. He gains some stacks of “Reforged”.

    Eidolons:
    – E1: Boothill starts the battle with a stack of “Reforged”. “Reforged” also grants atk +% in addition to break effect.
    – E2: Whenever an enemy is killed or weakness broken, action advance Boothill by a fraction. This can happen no more than X times before his next turn ends.
    – E4: Boothill gains “Guard” after he casts his skill. When the enemy with the “Mark of the Duel” attacks Boothill, he consumes “Guard” and takes fewer damage from it and also gains some energy. When Boothill quits Duel phase with “Guard” unconsumed, “Guard” expires and he gains the same amount of energy when it was consumed.
    – E6: Before Boothill launches an attack, if the target had Physical weakness, the attack gains break efficiency +% and damage amp +%.

Despite he has a built-in Silver Wolf that isn’t random, he can only do so using his ultimate and it is unknown if the effect bypasses effect resistance or not. This kit doesn’t excite me but is indeed a good design that fits my image of a gunslinger cowboy.

      • just some similarities in design. Desert duel is the first thing you think of when you see Butthill with his “cyber wild west” style. His kit looks kinda interesting, but I hate his RM dependance. RM is pure evil and I hate everything about her, and a glued to her DPS is a skip for me, no matter how interesting he is. And yes, he’s literally glued to her, because his. damage scales of break and break effect and her buffs are too big for this kind of DPS.
And his ability of vul implement is just a huge slap in SW’s face. She’ll completely leave the meta now.

        • Tbh SW is gonna be out of the meta once Sam releases anyway since fire is the last element we’re lacking a strong MoC DPS for
Her relevance now is just her abundance of debuffs, so she’s good in Acheron teams until Jiaoqiu comes
She’s not gonna be useless but her relevance was very much tied to her releasing so early in the game’s lifespan

          • Acheron is AOE DPS, while SW debuff only single target, so I think pela+BS or even pela+gui may be better in most cases (because you use Market and it’s burn for Gui). SW’s highest problem is even not her single target debuff, but the fact that her res shred is far too weak to compensate modern harmony buffs.
And yes, in a healthy game character mustn’t pass out so soon.

          • I’m not saying characters should die out soon, but specifically silver wolf
Silver Wolf’s major selling point was a weakness implant that compensated for the lack of elemental dps coverage in 1.1
but over time we got wind, imaginary, ice, and we’re soon to get fire, that’s every element covered so people who’ve been playing for a long time should have enough characters to cover both sides of MoC

          • Err… I don’t think so. Character like SW should have become a Jesus for f2p players lacking of elemental coverage (yes, not all of us have Jinglu, not everyone have your beloved Blade), but hoyos made a meta where def shredders (ESPECIALLY single target ones) are almost useless if you have a better option. And you have better options almost all the time. In terms of res shred pela is just better (Yeah, Pela is still weak, but at least playable), so f2p player will just pull for newest DPS or something, while old players just won’t play her. Even with OP ability of weakness implantation SW’s debuffs are just weak. Even counting all advantages of correct (and it’s not 100%) weakness implantation comparing her damage increase to modern harmony monsters, she’s just nothing. So her only advantage and the thing she’s best in is weakness. The last reason to play her. And it just doesn’t work, you know why. Hoyos made it. Remember 1.1-1.2 meta, where best packs were DPS+harmony+nihility+sustain? It just doesn’t work now. Nihility supports are dead almist completely. And I don’t like it. Debuffing mechanic wasn’t braindead like modern harmony is.

    • RM is soooo weeeaakkk right now, let’s add a couple DPS characters to work with her only. Sam is her slave too. Great job, Hoyos.

The boss deals Ice damage to the characters and occasionally makes a character fall asleep. Sleeping is a crowd control effect that also has damage vulnerability. It is automatically removed when the character is attacked.

    Basic Attack:
    Fire damage, single target.

    Skill:
    Consumes Sam’s HP.
    Fire damage, single target.
After the attack, if the target is weakness broken, Sam gains some energy.

    Ultimate:

    Talent:

Intake damage reduction. The fewer Sam’s HP is, the stronger the effect. The effect is also boosted if he has transformed.
If Sam hasn’t transformed, he gains energy whenever his HP changed. The more HP he gained / lost, the more energy he gains.

    Enhanced Basic Attack:
Sam heals himself by a fraction of his maximum HP.
    Fire damage, single target.

    Enhanced Skill:
Sam heals himself by a fraction of his maximum HP.
    Fire damage, blast.
After the attack, if any enemy that was hit by this attack is weakness broken, Sam action advance himself by a fraction and deals Fire additional damage to each of the enemies.
The damage dealt by this skill are treated as ultimate damage and are not treated as skill damage.

    Major Traces:
    – ?
    – Crowd control resistance.
    – If Sam has transformed, he gains fire damage amp.

    Technique:
Transforms Sam in the overworld. He moves fast and is invisible to the enemy.
Cast this technique again to transform him back, attacking overworld enemies in a wide range.
At the begining of battle, there is a fixed chance to have every enemy without Fire weakness to gain Fire weakness and reduce their fire resistance, lasts some turns. Then Sam deals Fire damage to each enemy.

    Eidolons:
    – E1: When Sam casts his enhanced skill, the central target gains Fire weakness before the attack deals damage, lasts some turns. This effect bypasses effect resistance. (This effect doesn’t reduce Fire res.)
    – E2: Whenever Sam gains a buff, extend the duration of the buff by 1 turn.
    – E4: Whenever Sam kills an enemy when he transformed, delay the “Untransformation Timer” by a fraction. This can trigger no more than X times before he untransforms.
    – E6: Whenever Sam’s action ends when he transformed, he gains ultimate damage amp, stackable, has upper limit. Clear those stacks when he untransformed.

To be honest this version is exciting too, but not as exciting as the previous fake one.

The leaker says Boothill’s related data was corrupted and unable to decrypt. However He’s coming with 2.2 beta server anyway so it’s just few days waiting. 2.2 beta server will be online at March 26th, 10:00 (UTC +8:00).

    • Disclaimer …i having some error while posting and may show up double…

I… remember this one also sharing highly resemblance to Sam’s prototype kit which are likely to be more accurate… as Black Swan final kit also sharing exact concept from her first kit leak. although it’s much more bland now, no longer able to ulti nuke anytime to exist “System Firefly” at will… so it’s just Q E to do Burning Punch or Burning Slash or so now huh….? where’s my amazing secret move “Shin Al Phoenix!” Ult button..! (those few last line are just my pure imagination, do not take it seriously…)

Hah… bunch of healing surely look comfortable but inside a dps kit is a kinda… though Sam could turn out to be the first viable MoC solo dps too which is what we hope for…. #Jingliucouldnever (I like Jingliu solo thingy a lots)

      Thank you.

      • His healings, mechanically speaking, are the same as Hu Tao’s. Their whole purpose is to want you to obtain maximum value by siding them with a shield and allowing Sam himself to be below the threshold that gives him extra stats, while also being able to heal not to stay permanently at 1HP.

He could maybe work with Fu Xuan, based on how low he needs to be (if it’s below 60% then he definitely can, if he needs to stay below 30% then he’d probably just eventually get himself killed without a shield), but I see healers such as Luocha being very antisynergistic, maybe HuoHuo will be his BIS, aside from Aventurine, which will also go hard with him if Sam wants to weakness break (which means that you want to play him with RM, which buffs Aventurine as well).

I prefered the fake kit as it sounded way cooler, rn it sounds pretty bland and uninspired, but it will likely get changed a lot throughout the next few weeks.

        • ….Nah the healing purpose just to let you flex the “Nanonmachines, Son!” thing…

Tingyun should working great to rush transformation for sure… we’ll have to see if Sam can utilize healer for energy charging decently well like the way Blade can using healer to boosting his Ultimate damage…. lot’s of thing still need optimization…

In any case. let’s us wait and see the official kit/numbers…. i seen everyone already worn out from WE’RE BACK > IT’S OVER > WE’RE BACK > IT’S OVER loop constantly…. give us a break….

        • I think you may have misunderstood her kit since all she needs is for HP to go up or down to gain Energy (probably at a rate of 10% HP -> 1 Energy). If anything, Shields are counterintuitive since you won’t be leveraging the incoming damage you would’ve taken. Healers would suit her better. Not to mention, the only effect that scales the lower your HP is is Dmg Reduc, which only matters if you aren’t healing her at all.

          • I believe the damage reduction is a reference to Super Robot Wars series, where many characters, expecially who pilot the tanky robots, come with an ability called “底力” (jp. sokojikara) that makes the robot take fewer damage the fewer HP it has. The ability also gives evasion but tanky robots can rarely dodge an attack even when this effect is fully active.

“底力” is a noun, meaning a power or ability that is hard to notice for most of the time but becomes critical and essencial when it matters. As far as I know, Japanese use this word to refer to a mechanic that a character takes fewer damage the fewer HP it has that some fighting games may have.

          • I believe the purpose of the mechanic is to fake the look of low HP percentage on your damaged units. When it has 50% HP it may actually had 90% of its effective HP remained. The HP meter being dishonest brings some excitement to an otherwise easy and boring battle.

The same happens in many Japanese anime. Sometimes the main characters are heavily damaged and nearly killed by one strike of the enemy, but they stand up and fight back regardless. They can even take more of these attacks and still able to fight back. If they had an HP meter that is honest, such an attack might have only substracted their HP by ~20%.

          • One of the main tech of that “底力” or “Potential” ability is also to allow Chiriko’s Scope Dog to abuse his broken “Abnormal Survivor” ability at <= 10% to the fullest allowing his Scope Dog to having near 100% dodge rate against everything and still super tanky enough to survive any 1% hit rate attack that somehow manage to hit and living to his legend.

Fufu… i like SRW fan, very nice Dazz.

    • The previous one was fake. As expected early leaks tend to be fake or changed but we all know this by now. Thx for the update tho.

    • It is interesting to see that some details from the fake kit did remain, so maybe the fake kit was probably fragments of old leaks that someone decided to conceptualize (to the point of even giving numbers in the CN ver).

  9. Jiaoqiu’s early kit.

    5-star Fire Nihility, male.

    Basic Attack:
    Fire damage, single target.
Has a base chance to apply a stack of “Spice” to the target.

    Skill:
    Fire damage, blast.
Has a base chance to apply a stack of “Spice” to each enemy that was hit.
Higher base chance to the central target.
The base chance to the adjacent targets are the same as basic attack.

    Ultimate:
Jiaoqiu gains the “Aura”, lasts some turns.
    Fire damage, AoE.
Has a bace chance to apply a stack of “Spice” to each enemy. The base chance is the same as basic attack.
The “Spice” stacks on each enemy becomes the same as the greatest amount of stacks among them. This effect bypasses effect resistance.

    Talent:
The “Spice” reduces the enemy’s defense and is stackable, has a upper limit. The more stacks an enemy already has, the fewer def shred the next stack on it would have.
The “Aura” ticks down at the begining of Jiaoqiu’s turn. As long as it persists, each character is healed at the begining of their turn by a fraction of their maximum HP plus a flat value and each enemy is vulnerable to ultimate damage.
In addition, for as long as Jiaoqiu is on the battlefield, the enemies are applied with a debuff, effects unspecified.

    Major Traces:
    – As long as the “Aura” persists, Jiaoqiu deals fire additional damage to an enemy at the begining of their turn and applies a stack of “Spice” to them before each of the enemy’s action.
    – Jiaoqiu gains some additional energy when he casts his skill.
    – As long as the “Aura” persists, whenever an enemy enters combat, the “Spice” stacks on each enemy becomes the same as the greatest amount of stacks among them. If no enemy had any “Spice” stacks or each of them had a “Spice” stacks fewer than X, instead the “Spice” stacks on each enemy becomes X. This effect bypasses effect resistance.

    Technique:
A dimension type technique that gives debuff to the enemy at the begining of the battle. This works like Welt’s technique and gives Acheron additional stacks.

Jiaoqiu seems to be a Pela + Gallagher in nihility path. As a Pela, his def shred is AoE and perpetual, and is kick-started by a major trace, meaning it’s 100% up time. As a Gallagher, he has no skill to heal and he has no cleanse but he has a healing aura that works like Gallagher’s.

Should be a good teammate for Acheron and Sam.
