    • Firefly has lots of good lightcone choices. Since even attack can benefit her. Her e1 would make it so you don’t have to worry about skill points. Of course if you have someone like Harmony Mc, Gall and Mei, most likely won’t have to worry about that.

      Mei would offer resistance pen. Letting you do more damage when her ultimate is up. Delaying a enemy turn, once they are weakness broken. Letting you get more super break damage in. Along with her making your whole party better at breaking the enemy toughness bar. Gives a speed boost when you break a enemy weakness. Which she makes it so, your whole party does more toughness damage. Letting your break effect dps, break enemies sooner. So they can get these big numbers. So yeah I would go for Mei. Given Firefly already has lots of good lightcone choices. Which with Htb, Gall and Mei. You won’;t have to worry much about skill points. Since at worst, you should at least break even in terms of skill point use. Depending on if you are spamming Harmony mc skill or not.

With this random girl using sparkle fireworks, turning and twisting around. Than bang. Sudden they are both one and the same. hey that a insult, to pretzels.           Seems like yeah, they could of handle this better. With more backstory like Aventurine. To show how they came from point a to point b. Since this is a dream we originally saw her in. Seems like, that alone could of been key to helping us explore alot. Since in a dream, you can be what you want. Which as we seen with Npcs pretending to be clockie. Sparkle screw the rules i’m batman side kick now.

          For how did the dream effect her? What can she do in this dream, she can’t in reality? How did she become this sweet little angel. Seems like they could of done it just a mask or persona, of who she wants to be. Then show what she like in a battle or when no around. Showing a wore out soul, that is just tired, broken. From having been used as a living weapon for countless years, having no freedom of their own. That or someone who embraces the fighting, rip and tear, losing themselves to the chaos of the fighting, cue evil laughter. While becoming interested in the Mc, due to not just tales they heard from their fellow hunters but also who, The Mc is sort of a living weapon, similar yet different from her. Leading to interest in them. Cue the opening with the doomsday beast. With Welt having to knock out the Mc by going this is the Lion king bitch. Yeah lots of things they could of handle better character wise. Which is much stronger case, over the op lol Loli. For yeah could of done something like oh hey. She was engineered to enjoy fighting, to seek it out. With her trying to fight that, by pretending to be a sweet little angel by these calls for destruction, death, slaughter, become harder to resist over time. I better stop or I might go on all day at this point.

          Gameplay wise. It more easy to see the appeal. Oh hey, easy to build dps. That only need one other limited five star to build a solid team around. With the rest of their best team, being something you already have or a four star. Making them rather cheap in terms of jades, if you can get Soda man. That or just do funny stuff, like slap her on a Himeko team for pure fiction and see how many follow up attacks you can get, due to everything having fire weakness. She also has relic sets design just for her. Making it easy to know what to farm. A fair amount of good lightcone choices for her.

          For yeah, unlike say Aventurine who has more to him both story wise and is rather good gameplay wise. Firefly seems more a character meant for gameplay, over story.

      • Asta Is like the only character on that list I can think of why someone might use, if you get enough copies, to not lose endless amounts of stacks. Nat. Nat? Who needs a e2 to have a fragment of the power of Lynx base kit. Which still limits her to only getting that heal over time when the party is near death. Nat gets replace the moment you get anything else that can keep the party alive. Her single target cleanse is easily replaceable. Be it by someone like Bronya or HuoHuo. Does anyone really use Serval at all? The only way they could of made this banner worst, is if they removed Asta and replaced her with Arlan.

        Heck the Mei/Firefly banners seem tailor made for them. Given Gallagher is one of the best for Firefly. Xueyi, she is break effect related. Misha has a cool hat and can make ice puns. What kill the dinosaurs Batman? The Ice age.

        Which given Himeko and Herta exists, that even when slap together, with rainbow relics. Can get the job done. Long as you give them good supports. It really hard to want to spend Jades to get Jade. When you already have the best pure fiction team around, if you have ever lost a 50/50 to Himeko. Long as HImeko and Herta can get 40k from one side. The second team doesn’t even need to be that good, to get the remaining points. They really when out of their way, to make Jade unappealing as possible.

    • There really isn’t a replacement for Mei for Firefly right now. Break efficiency can’t be replaced for break units.

      • seems like the op idea was action advance, get another turn. Have them all deal damage to the foe toughness bar. Since they brought up Robin. Given in theory at least. everyone doing 100% break damage twice in a row should be better than once at 150%. of course the issues that would come up. is the down time from Robin and her ultimate. While Mei boost to breaking would have a 100% uptime. Which is what really makes Mei hard to replace.

    • I mean, for FF ideally you just stick with RM. It’s the 50% Break Efficiency that you really want from her. FF couldn’t even utilize Robin’s Atk buff due to mechanics (game doesn’t allow double-layered stat conversions) and the rest of her stat buffs are of course wasted.

        • If you don’t have anyone using “On the Fall of an Aeon” (herta shop LC), you can use it on her and go for Ruan Mei since the difference in performance is minimal. If you can’t aford to do that you can get her LC, but your best alternatives for Ruan Mei are Asta, Silver Wolf, Pela or Hanya, which don’t perform nearly as well her.
          In general, having extra Break Efficiency is much more important than most other buffs for super break dps since it both make breaking faster and makes you deal more damage. It also important to note that the res pen she gives also is part of what is taken into account in the damage formula.

        • Forgot to say that in my previous message, but Jiaoqiu, the next fire nihility that got reveal yesterday, could also be a really good team mate for her if he is indeed an “AoE” def debuffer. And being fire also helps the team as a whole for breaking ennemies faster

          • That and can always gets the lightcones later, if so desired. Since most characters have a good number of choices for lightcones. Be they four star, free to play five stars or something else.

          RM also helps towards your Spd req thanks to her Talent. You want 150 (210 during Ult) at minimum, or if you’re willing to take my suggestion, push for 165 (225 during Ult) to get a 3rd enhanced turn for the first Cycle.

          Also, I’d even put E1 FF at a higher prio than her LC, just for the SP convenience. Granted, the LC does have a minor utility of slowing enemies she breaks so it’s not purely for damage.

          • I think someone did explain how the e2 works awhile ago. She gets an addition turn, once every other turn. First turn, triggers e2 gets an extra action. Second turn, e2 is on cooldown. having to wait until turn three, to trigger it again. So yeah you will get a fair bit of benefit out of it. Just not every turn but hey, even one extra turn is great for abusing the action economy.

    • Jade is horrendous, they did her so dirty it’s… not even funny. She’s good in Pure Fiction, but I wouldn’t even call her godly there

      Firefly has… mixed opinions. Despite two tailor made relic sets, and a highly synergistic team … she’s just … okay? She’s on the same level as Boothill, actually scratch that he has more impressive feats. (albeit he’s harder to play)

      Now is FF worth pulling? Absolutely, but only if you like her, she’s not above our current meta, she doesn’t powercreep anyone. Also don’t fall for propaganda, her Lightcone is great

      • If your someone like me who has lots many 50/50 to HImeko. You most likely have a few extra copies of her. That boost her power level a bit. Along with Herta. Along with having a fair number of supports as well to back them up. Yeah you most likely don;’t need anyone beside HImeko and Herta to get 40k from one side. UNless your really struggling to get that last 20k points from the other side. Jade does not seem worth it. when you can get that 20k points, by slapping together some random team that is most likely far from ideal in pure fiction.

        Given with Fu xuan, Robin, Himeko and Herta were able to get 40k in this current pure fiction. That is meant to favor, I wish I was BootHill Lightning gal Acheron. So yeah, even in a pure fiction, that doesn’t favor Himeko or Herta. They can with the right supports, get the job done. to get that max score. Which my Himeko and Herta are not even that well build. They are just using the pure fiction set from the sim universe, to give them addition crit damage. So someone with a much better build Himeko and Herta than my own. Should be able to clean pure fiction just fine. Even when it doesn’t favor them and it favors bad cosplay Boothill aka Archeron.

        Unless someone is really struggling in pure fiction or just really likes Jade as a character. Seems like she is not really needed. Even then, it might be more worth while to pick up a good support or someone like Aventurine, who can be useful both in and outside pure fiction. To support your Herta and Himeko. Now if someone doesn’t have HImeko. Well. It seems they are not cursed like me.

    • Jade: not worth pulling unless you desperately wants a PF grinder immediately. Since Herta + Himeko is already a 40k grinder, so you don’t really need another.

      Firefly is one of the most worthwhile investment you can do. The team of Firefly + the HTB + RM + Gallagher is a MoC grinder and an AS grinder at a rediculously low cost in both pulls and relic farming. I strongly advice you to choose one among Firefly and Boothill.

      • Heck depending on how many 50/50 one has lost to Himeko. She might be hard to replace by a mere E0 character. for if you were lucky or unlucky enough depending on your point of view to get e3 Himeko. well. Your going to be triggering way more follow attacks than normal, anytime you are able to break a foe with her skill.

        heck Aventurine might be better for pure fiction and has uses outside of it. Given the current pure fiction is full of dots. He can help keep alive the team and put in some damage. Or even Robin to abuse that action economy, along with that addition crit damage helping to make lesser build HImeko and Herta seem almost godly. Heck during pure fictions where you don’t need someone to keep you alive. Where you can just tank the damage. You can do something crazy like Firefly for fire weakness, Mei to help break weakness and bang your off to see the wizard.

        Yeah long as Himeko and your Herta can get 40k points from one side. It should be simple enough to slap together a team that can get 20k from the other side.

      • Heck outside of maybe Jingliu. It hard to think of a more easy to build character than BootHill and Firefly.
        For they have a benefit that alot of dps do not. Being simple and easy to build. You can most likely get them up and running right away. Which is a neat benefit. For the stats they want, tend to be a bit more common than crit rate and crit damage. So being able to play around with the character you just got way sooner is nice. Which also, Firefly is going to have alot of relic support, that clearly favors her. Making her even easier to build. When one sim universe set gives her 40% break effect just attacking fire weak foes. Which will be no big deal for her, to have a 100% uptime with.

    • Well The one downside to Firefly. Is she wants very certain members for her party. Which one is free, another is a four star. So beside her. you only need Mei. Now that where the question comes in. If you don’;t have Mei. If she worth it or not. Given the party members you want for her, can be kind of hard to replace.

    • well when it comes to Firefly. It seems to heavily depend on if you have Mei or not. If you have lots of spare jades. It seems you are going to want Firefly and Mei. Given her ideal team, is a free character, a four star and one other five star. Her ideal team is very cheap. Yet if you don’;t have these characters. Which is most likely going to be the four star or Mei. Yeah it kind of hard to find replacements for them. So the real question is, do you have Mei?

  6. Leaks might actually be the end of me

    It’s such a weird feeling lol, like I’m not living in the current patch, too busy scrutinize the next. Instead of just laying back and being amazed by a marketing team, I’m scouring for crumbs. Looking at low quality and incomplete gameplay, getting bored of pretty animations before I even get my hands on them. Already being accustomed with the best teams before I pull a character

    The whole process of discovery, wonder it’s all gone from hoyo games due to leaks. There are no boundaries to push, or limits to explore, some beta tester has already gone to great lengths to give everything a spin. I wish we’d just be limited to drip marketings. That hype surrounding releases would be real. That we’d speculate instead of tip-toeing around leaks like we don’t all know what’s up

      • Now I am reminded of the sekiro fan game someone made. Which is more like a boss fight sim. KANNAGI USAGI.
        Which yeah been going back doing some stuff in xenoverse 2, mostly single player stuff I have yet to finish up.
        For yeah, these days it very easy to get access to everything about a game in mere moments. Which everything gets figure out at lightning speed. Removing the mystery to it. Turning a magic system from being mythic and mysterious to, oh yeah you know how it works in full great detail like hunter x hunter magic system.

        Sometimes it the mystery of things, that make it more thrilling. For the unknown, gives way to making you wonder. What is there? for sometimes lack of an answer, is greater than anything you could say. for letting everyone picture what the answer is, can be greater than giving an answer. For yeah sometimes taking a break, doing something else can be rather good for ya. Which hey on the bright side. at least we are not being force to watch disney star wars. Now that would be torture.

    • This is a turn-based game and isn’t so complicated, meaning a moderately experienced player like me can semi-accurately predict the actual game play and power level of the units in the beta test server by just reading the kits and doing some quick math.

      I look at the leaks only because there isn’t much to delve in the current patch. The only thing I keep doing in the actual game is to farm, endless farming, and farming isn’t a game. I need something to spice up.

      • The one upside this game has next to say. Genshin. is you can at least freely go back to some of the older events. To see how much better your team is vs when you first did these events. Which can be a nice thing here and there. But yeah in general. The game could do with like at least one more event per patch. To give some content to do. Since it always like at the end of a patch, when things are just sort of dead. For a week or two. Given you can blaze through alot of the event content, in like a day or two on a weekend when you have lots of spare time.

      • Dude. Seele and lightning lord. Are some of the oldest dps in the game and they are still doing decently in end game content. Somehow I doubt Boothill is going to be unplayable or worthless. Rather going by the relic sets. It seems like Firefly is simply going have a easier time reaching her peak. Due to having a bit more stuff that clearly favors her. The real question is, will boothill get the same support in terms of relics?

        If not. He will simply take more investment to reach the same peaks. Given he can’t get 40% break effect for free.

    • It’s very funny to me that we usually have leaks 2 patches ahead.

      Robin wasn’t even out when we were looking at Firefly and Jade’s combat animations.

      Firefly will release in 2 weeks, we don’t fully know who she will rerun with (well, we will know in an hour), and yet we are already discussing the viability of nihility-healer’s solo sustain without knowing the numbers.

      It all feels so surreal.

        Alot of people just seem to overhype any claims of power creep. Just to doom and gloom. Rather than making any legit points. They go power creep, than leave it so vague you have to guess what they mean. Which leads to people agreeing with them, due to thinking ah yes they are talking about x. While also leaving enough wiggle room for them to go nope, they were not talking about Y. Should anyone disagree with them about power creep.

        For at this point. Someone would have to make a very detail reasoning, to think why power creep is a issue. If they want to be taken serious.

          • Yeah I have only like 200ish. Outside of combat. So yeah your is better build than mine. Might have to go back to the watch maker mines and farm up some more. Well after the rest of team Firefly is up and running. For so many artifacts to grind, so little resin to grind them with.

    • there’s almost no power creep, power creep by definition is rendering someone useless because there’s a new someone that does the exact same but better and in honkai everyone does something different and everyone is usable even if some are only niche, but still niche =/= powercrept

      • Of course even in the case a new unit does the same thing but better. It would also for it to matter. You would need the difficulty of the content to go up, to the point it can only be matched by the newest characters. Which yeah sounds like a bad idea. Given how rng relic farming is. Yeah it seems like it would be bad business, to simply power creep mindlessly, before people can even properly build these characters. Not to forget reruns. For after all, you want to give a reason for people to pick up a character on a rerun.

          • I think he will only replace her if he can dish out more DEF shred than her and be close to 100% without her. If he offers the same amount but Easier to use or more applicable they will probably just end up being the DEF shred duo.

          • I think he’s more likely to replace SW in acheron teams
            Pela + Jiaoqiu could potentially reach 100% AoE def shred
            If he also has solid healing you could possibly run a harmony in Acheron teams

          • I think his healing will be a token regen rather than sustain replacement. It might be good for Preservation users when the HP gets hit

          • I’m worried if he would have lower supporting power in exchange for some healing that is not enough to not include a sustainer in the team. 🙁

          • For hardcore zero cyclers who already don’t use sustains, it probably won’t make a difference to them as more def shred is always welcome. But from what I read of the leaks he’s able to stack his shred very easily.

    • In my eyes, it is fine to be unhot for him. A pink-hair foxfolk, if not resolved properly, would make a man look too feminine and uncool, and he has to be cool to compensate. His pink hair isn’t the same color of March 7th’s which leads to an image of cutiness. His costume can’t be as revealing as DHIL.

          • Given their habit of loving to make over the top animations. I could see that happening. Super dramatic eye opening on the level of Death Note potato chip moment.
