HOWDY PARDNER THE CHANGES ARE HERE!
Overall a buff?
Weakness plant is now guaranteed
Technique gets 2 turn instead of 1
Ultimate gives 40% delay
etc.
Mr. Space Cowboy is still lookin good?
Seele >>>>>>>> him
Boothill will never be able to 0 cycle PF like Seele. Heck, he is completely useless in PF.
Proof:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdwXFBZ74JE
You’re using… pure fiction? to compare hung characters?
You do know what the hunt path is made for right?
hunt*
I liked original version better 😀
Path is not the point. In a pragmatic perspective, some characters are more worthwhile to invest by their adaptability on both MoC and PF, namely Seele, Jing Yuan, and the epic Kafka & Black Swan pair. In a pragmatic perspective, a character that is only good in one format and not viable in the other is born less worthwhile to invest due to how jade rewards are given.
You don’t need a pragmatic perspective though if your account can already clear everything in ease.
if you are really playing games with a pragmatic perspective and nothing else i dont think you should play gacha games XD
After watching this, it in no way proves Seele is the “better” unit, it’s a showcase of how Seele and Robin’s mechanics can be abused whereas 99% of players will never have the investment nor skill to do this, if they even think of it in the 1st place.
Seele is a very powerful unit, but you’re using the worst possible metric to compare them as she is the ONLY hunt unit that excels in pf and this is basically her peak.
That’s not hard to achieve though. My Seele can clear it in 2 cycles earning 40k score in ease. I didn’t even specifically invested on her PF adaptability, namely ERR rope and the” Eagle of Twilight Line” relic set for her that are commonly used on many of Seele’s PF showcase.
Robin is also not hard to abuse. You only need to cast her ult and have your other characters attack as frequently as possible, while Seele is a perfect partner. However Robin’s additional damage takes the fatal blow, leading to Seele’s talent not triggering, if I read her kit correctly.
I agree with the part that such a comparason is pointless. One who can read immediately understands the fact that Boothill only excels in MoC and is not viable in PF and should feel no need to prove it. That’s as obvious as “1 + 1 = 2”.
Also it depends on the definition of “better”. By this word people usually mean “more worthwhile / rewarding to invest your in-game resources into it” and that comes from a pragmactic perspective. Notions such as “I prefer…”, “I like…”, and “I’m happier with…” have higher priority than that.
I’ve seen this Boothill vs. Seele thing quite a few times now. As someone who has Seele but fully plans to get Boothill too, what is going on? Did something happen to Boothill I’m not aware of?
That’s because people want to get him and asks Hoyo to buff him. That’s called doomposing. You don’t understand then you are right. I don’t understand either.
The same happened on Acheron’s page, too. People keep crying about how she’s a worse Jing Yuan.
Those were truly the days
Seele is really good… at killing jobbers kekw
Seele is soo good if only you have 3 top tier supports backing her ass up while she has 100% crit rate in her relics, which lets her reliably do anything.
If you don’t have 100% crit rate, enjoy not knowing if your ult hits for 200k or 10k.
you guys are sooo annoying. seele is boring as hell at least he has the swag
Boothill is sadly better
So is there a way for him to lose his Pocket Trickshot stacks ? If not does that mean he’ll have 3 stacks permanently in the overworld overworld
There is no way for him to lose the stacks I think. However he has to restart in each simulated universe run and each MoC / PF entry.
If only he was Destruction/Nihility…
why?
Because there are several light cones on destruction / nihility path that have break effect +% and are for free. The only hunt path light cone that grants break effect +% is Boothill’s signature light cone. Rondon might want to pull for Boothill but has no budget for his signature light cone.
He’s a galaxy ranger that follow the hunt path. Lore based, if you think about it.
Yeah but also…
Jade and Topaz follow the preservation
Ratio follows the erudition
Sampo and Sparkle follow the elation
Jing Yuan follows the hunt
Kafka explicitly stated she is not a follower of Nihility
Bronya and Pela follow the preservation
And more examples
The personal path of a character doesn’t have to line up with the organisation the follow. and their gameplay path doesn’t have to line up with their lore path
Prior to Acheron there were no true nihility characters in the game
what is boothill’s best team?
f2p wise.
Gallagher and Harmony Trailblazer. Some option also include; Hanya, Pela, and maybe Tingyun
I think Gallagher, Boothill, Imaginary TB and a choice between Tingyun or Hanya.
Boothill + HTB
For sustain the best one is Gallagher (Mainly because of his synergy with HTB) but generally supports that can speed up lowering the toughness bar with multiple attacks work well (FuXuan, Aventurine, and Luocha ). HuoHuo is just generally good.
For the 2nd Support the best options are Ruan Mei (if you have her) or Pela. RM synergizes very well and Pela Def shred scales well with Break dmg.
so it should look like Boothill, HTB, Pela, Gallagher
some underrated support for him that probably aren’t the best but got cool chemistry:
luka helps with break and activate his break dot
sushang bc same as luka just with her own damage instead of dot
march\misha bc of their freeze
imma say the standard 5 stars bc you do get 1 for free at the start of the game from the beginning banner and there is the 300 wishes:
bronya bc advance forwards is always good
welt because of speed reduction, action delay and a fast breaker
clara…maybe? she can just help with breaking weaker enemy’s and let boothil kill them faster
and gepi because of freeze
He reminds me of Blade from Nu:Carnival
How do y’all pronounce Boothill?
Is it “Boo-fill” or “Boot-Hill”?
YEEEEE-HAAAAWWW
The only correct answer
“Boo” is “boo”.
“th” is the “th” in “think”. I think it’s a different sound than “f” or “h”.
“ill” is “ill.
That’s just wrong.
His name is simply “Boot-hill”.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boot_Hill
It’s Boot-Hill, just the two words together
and as Serene9 linked its thematic to the wild west gunslinger theme
“Boot-hill”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boot_Hill
Alright imma try to cook here please give me your opinion after that
Broolith has action delay on ult you pair him with Welt for another action delay and put also ruin mei for another action delay and you finish it off with imaginary Mc for that sweet break damage
Give me your opinion about it
Imo Welt + Ruan Mei combo by themselves are good sustains, so yeah the menu is possible.
If you’re strong enough and kill them fast enough you probably wont take damage or enough to die
It’s a good run for SU, and as long you can put sustain Welt and Ruan’s delay passive plus TB harmony, you can survive at MoC too, but don’t forget spd tuning also important factor to slip past turn limit
Do we know the damage difference between his signature light cone and his best 4-star one? I’m trying to figure out if the light cone is better or not.
For example, there isn’t a huge difference between S5 Peaceful Day and the signature light cone for Argenti.
A major portion of his dmg is break and his LC is the only hunt LC that affects break dmg
so the difference is… big
I suspect it would be huge, given his unorthodox playstyle. Most Hunt LCs focus on buffing CRIT and ATK. Boothill, however, focuses on detonating Break DMG which is irrelevant to CRIT and ATK.
For now, we don’t have 4 star option that same lvl equivalent for him, his 5 star lc giving more bonus crit rate/dmg based his passive and ignore 20% break dmg, so its break value is double for him. The only 4 star i can best think is Final Victor
Are we able to tell the damage difference between his signature light cone and his best 4-star cone yet? I’m trying to figure out how much of a necessity it might be.
He has no 4-star downgrades that are acceptable. Not even one hunt light cone gives any break effect. The only stats Boothill is asking for are break effect and speed. Atk, crit and damage amp are very close to useless for him.
youre trying too hard to doompost him lmao. s5 swordplay works just fine for him. sure, his lc is infinitely better, but that is the case for most of the recent 5*s. with the right relic rolls, they’ll make it work.
“s5 swordplay works just fine for him”
The massive amount of his damage is break damage(about 70%). Break damage does not scale from Swordplay lightcone.
Something else?
Friends. I love the design of this character, but right now I’m on the fence about whether to pull him or not.
Of course, the damage to one target will be very huge. But the lack of action forward from his abilities is very off-putting.
Right now, it seems that this character’s skillset design is not very good.
We’re not sure until someone test it out. His signature 60% give him bonus crit rate 18% crit dmg 30%, and 20% ignore dmg when you keep attacking weakness broken enemy, so his break dmg is double value. The best 4 star for him i can think is Final Victor if you want more atk and crit dmg, or you can just swap from herta shop
