Path Change in Combat and New Path in 4.x (very STC)
* This was old news like a couple of weeks ago and I may or may not have posted this already here: Elation may be the new Path in 4.x.
* (🧂🧂🧂) An SP form of Sparkle and a new character that looks like Yae Sakura/Miko are rumored to be Elation units.
* (🧂🧂) Future characters may change Paths in combat. There has been data added to the 5.3 beta where enemies(?) can detect Path change in combat.
Some clarification on the new Path before you yap: There was some placeholder data added that a leaker suggested a new Path was in development. The leaker also claimed that the new Path “already got leaked” but them finding new info that contradicts with what they had is a good thing, as there are now multiple reliable sources suggesting the new Path.
Most of the community (even me) guessed the new Path is Elation because of the rumored Sparkle SP, but keep in mind that sources that leakers pull out of their ass aren’t always 100% reliable and stuff that I repost might be completely wrong in the future.

Dedicated rapid/multi/follow-up attack support. The only character that fits this niche is Aglaea who she’s BiS with alongside Sunday, the dedicated Remembrance support.

Dedicated Break support. Still rivals 3.x supports even completely outside her meta like with Cas

Dedicated to a practically non-existent niche – and they still threw her a bone (of my sword)

100% AA has always been OP, see 1.0 Bronya’s continued relevance. Also, dedicated remembrance support on the remembrance planet.

Dedicated break support. There haven’t been any break units.

First solid general amper since…Asta? And she’s really just a nihility in disguise.

The creep is in the DPS. Cas and The Herta alone punch through the ceiling with F2P and 4* units.

also it’s undeniable that Sunday is blatant powercrept of Sparkle and Bronya meanwhile Tribbie is better amp than Nihility whilst having better uptime, sub dps dmg, and acces to DDD.
Just show how terrible the kit balance in HSR is, yet they keep raise the floor and ceilling by keep making powercreep dps
tho i expect castorice to be firefly 2.0 because basically her team performance is carried by shilled content right now, it’s already complete/reaching highest potential, and most likely there will be no better sustain than Hyacine for her.
Phainon will be the overall best dps here, while in PF and SU The Herta is uncontested by anyone.
My point is criticism should be aimed at where the real problem lies. Don’t want the unwashed masses copying the wrong argument.
Sunday’s a powercreep of Bronya. He SHOULD be a powercreep of Sparkle, but 50%AA was a mistake – it relegated her to her tiny little niche, whereas Bronya is still relevant in many a place (especially if you don’t have Sunday).
If you look at the nihility cast, you’ll find that there’s not a lot for 3B to even creep – mainly just Pela/SW. Pela’s a 4* and even pre-buff SW probably still has 3B beat single target. Every other Nihility is either a damage dealer, or meant to fill a niche (that 3B can’t).
I think Cas is in a better place than FF – She’s got a wide variety of team comps, she fulfills multiple niches (memo/HP scaling/health depletion/healing), and doesn’t have too many limitations. FF meanwhile, has pretty much one team, and fulfills one finicky niche (superbreak).
I hope they continue to buff all existing characters though. I can understand having creep (imagine if you just cleared everything with Seele since 1.0…), but leaving characters in unusable states is both unfun, but also a waste of potential money for them (who would pull Seele?)
wish hoyo fixs the powercreep like if love this gameif only kuro starts getting more players and hsr lose more then 80% of there might force hoyo to fix it
ur wish may not come true then, because WuWa never even bother to try to be genuine and unique, the game’s player retention rate is poor, they are the one that keep losing players, but not mhy games(just take a look at their sales revenue and retention rate)
Why? because while making a gacha games, they respect each and every element of a traditional rpg at the same time, Mhy knows how to write a great rpg story, and people LOVE it, unlike WuWa, which story is so AI-generated ish, easily forgettable and bland.
And lets not even talk about its notoriety of just COPYING mhy stuff, Ripping off Genshin’s homework AND still taking L’s profitwise. (how conveniently and coincidentally that Cartethyia ult looks just like Saber’s Excalibur while hsr is about to collab with UBW, and the audacity of making a character that is so Mavuika ish), yet u have haters that said that Augusta is better than Mavuika, which is a blatant and flagitious insult to its original creator MHY itself (when Mavuika is clearly a design expy of Himeko in their own game IP’s).
if you don’t like the powercreeping issue, u have the choice of not playing the game, but dun u fuckin dare voice out ur dissatisfaction in the public, HSR has been very generous as of lately even giving out a limited 5* during its anniv, and if THAT is STILL NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU, guess what, this is why people dont listen to you or like you. It is never enough for you. Keep boxing at ghosts, keep crying it is Hoyo glazers fault all the while the fact is, mhy done proving their very best effort to outdoing all of yall hater’s shitty attempts and overcomes it like a champion.
Powercrept is only an issue in playing endgame content like MoC. And even if you don’t ace all of it, you still get enough pulls to pull for your favourite character, just about every 1 to 2 patches.

March 7th SP will be the next Free Legendary character we get because she is Mid on her own and needs Cyrene a lot, so a tricky way to increase Cyrene sells even more.

Nah, I don’t think they won’t hand out 5* March for free. Hoyo occasionally likes to give out men for free because they believe that female characters sell better, not to be a misandrist or anything. Terravox’s kit wil have to be fine-tuned to be mid on purpose to compensate.
They gave Harumasa from ZZZ out for free, so maybe they’ll do the same through Genshin through the Electro Male 5* from Nod-Krai.

If the ONLY meta support you’re missing is Tribbie, is she still worth it or should you just grab Cerydra & wait for the 4.x aoe support? I’ve got HP scaling units like Mydei / Blade / Jl (no Cas!) but also… Wonder about the meta consequences of continually skipping her for faves bahaha (i.e., Hysilens & maybe Cerydra)
3B is THE meta support, she’s BiS on many teams and then just powerful as a jack of all trades.
That being said, she’s never felt necessary, and favs>metaslave

Tribbie at E0S0 is very, VERY mid. Even if you have her fated E1, don’t believe for a second she transcends meta or anything. She’s an aoe unit. Tribbie melts aoe, that’s about it. Anyone who thinks she’s good in ST is coping. Now most fights do have AoE soo do with that as you will
I wasn’t personally super impressed by her. Robin feels better. Buffed SW humiliates her in ST. You don’t have Castorice, I assume you lack Herta as well. Only pull if you can get E1, because that feels nice. E0S0 Tribbie is meh. Especially if you dislike her
Do note this mainly comes from a min-max perspective / 0 cycle. Cyrene will most likely powercreep the hell out of her
Yeah I have Therta (and p much everyone LOL) but she’s not HP scaling (Tribbies main niche for me) so I saw no reason to mention her. Like I love Tribbie as a chara but I really don’t wanna pull for her yk?
And while I won’t pull just for meta I’m still curious about, like, the meta impact of ignoring her!
it’s too bad they don’t continue buffing the characters, maybe if only they actually stop making powerful support or sustain catered toward brand new powerful dps like Castorice or Phainon just to make them even more broken which caused the heavy power gap smth.

Hysilens is only good with Kafka.
Cerydra is only good with Phainon (or Anaxa).
Both of them are niche, low value characters.

kay so I feel like asking here is the best option. I’m struggling on deciding who to pull for in 3.4 and 3.5. I want to pull Phainon, however Sunday seems really incredible for my account, BUT I have an E2S1 Bronya and I don’t know how much of a step-up Sunday would be (if I do pull him I’ll be trying for his LC as well). I feel like Bronya should be fine to use with Phainon but I’m not sure. I’m also stuck between Hysilens and Kafka in 3.5 (Kafka’s re-run was confirmed in the 3.4 livestream). Hysilens can’t detonate DoT so Kafka seems like better deal overall (for reference I do have Black Swan). Would any appreciate any help I can get with this!

Sunday’s probably still a step up from Bronya, even at E0S0, but he also doesn’t do anything she can’t (both are 100%AA units).
Phainon’s just super strong in general, and Phainon actually can make use of both Bronya and Sunday, Bronya actually gets a huge bump with Phainon since he freezes her 1turn skill buff in place.
Kafka probably over Hysilens, Hysilens needs the detonates to go crazy, and Kafka’s going to enable your Black Swan to shine. Best would be to get both IMO, but I’m a little biased.
