Make ult give all summons half his speed value instead. The most frustrating thing about the summons is that they won’t scale in that department.
You don’t really need any spd on them when he just advances them anyway
So then, how would you use him?
The DPSes I have are not summoning characters, but I want him as he’s my fav, so would I use him just like I would Sparkle?

5* LCs I have are DHIL, Yunli, HuoHuo, Ratio, Welt, Yanqing, Gepard but I dont think that matters rlly

Break took over and we barely got non-break characters in the later versions, so I think there is def a high possibility I will
I also forgot to mention having Bronya LC so she isn’t that bad for me
He’s an upgrade over bronya in boothill’s teams due to giving energy and better sp economy (ex boothill/ruan mei/gallagher). He would also do fine with ratio and feixiao (ex ratio/jiaoqiu/aventurine) but robin is probably still better there. I saw on DanHengMains on reddit were discussing wheter he would work with e2 DHIL and it was a big “maybe” (and for this sunday’s lc would for sure be needed
he’s basically what happens when you shake bronya tingyun and yukong together in one bag minus the atk buffs, he does a little bit of everything and i think that’s nice.
Him being a summon support is fine imo eventho i do wish the extra buff for summons isn’t that huge (one of robin’s traces clearly only works with follow up attack but noone seemed to mind and still use her as a general support). What i do hope is that they’ll give him some spd stats either increase his base spd a bit or exchange the def ascension stat with spd.
I just want to state one obvious thing: this character is playable only with MY right now. Even in his test run he’s with JY. Like ooohhh yeah JY in not the worst event 5* ever released in this cursed game and everybody has him! Sunday is like just a worse Bronya if he’s not with summoning character. Right now his pull value is ZERO if you don’t have JY and I’m not sure if Sunday worth it even if he is on board. The best about it – next region is most likely to be about summoners, and Sunday will probably be a center of a new meta. So If you have JY here and now, he’ll probably get like three times stronger, but I’m not sure even this much is enough for him to become meta in mirror. If not, build him and forget about him until the next summoner releases.
Now imagine the faces of E-girls who was drooling for Sunday all this time just to get a really specialized support they can’t even use because they don’t have the only character he is playable with. Sunday is just TOO MUCH dependent. And when devs tell you: “If you want to play your waifu and to show his potential pull for “character_1” and preferably for “character_2″ too” this is disgusting.
So he uses less skill points than Bronya, while having all the benefits of her skill.. His skill is slightly less damage yes but also last longer. Perfect for follow up attacks. His ultimate lasts for three turns, along with granting energy back. Letting the main dps use their big ultimate move quicker. Making him more a mix of Tinygun and Bronya. Which also did you forget Topaz and Lingsha exist as pet characters. There is three characters in the game, that have pets.
Which I believe you greatly overlook things. For if Sunday buffs last longer. That means they have longer up time. Which in the case of his skill. He would Use one skill point, than going with the idea he basic attacks twice. He would have the benefit of not being skill point negative like Bronya, while still able to maintain his buffs from skill with 100% uptime. Not being as heavy on skill points as Bronya, would make him able to fit into more teams. Which Sunday with his energy giving ultimate, makes him pair well with others like HuoHuo or Tingyun, letting you feed energy back to a certain party member. Even outside a lightning lord team. He would have his uses. There would be many reasons to use him over Bronya. Given the longer a fight goes on, the bigger a benefit his 100% uptime with his skill becomes. With his trace ability, to be able to use a free skill every two turns. He can be skill point positive. For even e1 Bronya can still be heavy on skill points if you use her skill all the time. Which that the issue with Bronya. she drips heavily into being skill point negative, if you spam her skill every single turn. Something Sunday can do without eating up all your skill points.
Still all these benefits are not so much to pull for him if you’re not playing FuAs. Yep, he’s stronger than Bronya even when losing HALF of his power (my bad), but I don’t think he’s worth it right now. Just the fact he’s a slave of JY will scare the most players. Like literally, he becomes two times less valuable when not in the right team, and “right” is one: “JY or nothing”.

like with how hsr tendency is to make profit with harmony characters is well known already. like as of now and probably in the future the guaranteed sure way for players to invest in this game is pull for harmony characters, why? simply because you can never go wrong with them.
also each harmony characters basically tells us what meta they going to cook up like bronya and sparkle for hypercarry team, ruan mei for break team, robin for follow up team, and now sunday for summoner team(please give us harmony for DoT team exclusive already)
as for their lifetime(like how long they are impactful for) thats stays as long they are not direct got powercreeped (example if somebody can 100% adv forward and buff follow up atk with their skill then robin is basically dead right there)

and his eidolons just sound really uneventful until e6,but i do feel like he will probably shine when summon meta rolls around in 3.X
It baffles me that hes up there with Acheron and Firefly as some of the most hyped releases in the game and… his only purpose is to buff fucking Jing Yuan? The guy the entire playerbase has been making fun of ever since 1.0 because his kit is so terribly designed?? I know he’s meant to be the specialized Servant buffer, but why would you ship him out with such a disgustingly low pull value on release? Literally no reason to get him on 2.7. Things will probably look way better for him on 3.3 or whenever his rerun is when the Servant meta finally takes shape. Kinda mad i skipped Lingsha because I was going to pull for him (and Fugue), but i didnt expect them to make a harmony with less pull value than Sparkle, and i have an e0s1 Sparkle.
He’s a solid bronya replacement even if you don’t have Jing Yuan, but he’s clearly made for future characters, Ruan Mei was made for a meta that didn’t exist for 2 more patches when she released she just had better general buffs than other harmonies being the first limited one
Sunday as is. Does seem like he would overall be able to fit into any team that wants Bronya. Only with far better up time on his buffs and not as skill point heavy. So unless your one or two shooting everything. In the long run, Sunday might be better in a fight. even when on a team without summons. He going to be useful.

I hope they change him so that an entire half of his damage% buff isn’t conditional. It’s so forced, as the only notable synergy he actually has with summoner characters is the action advance, and making so much of his buff conditional really hurts him everywhere else.

I like his interaction with Summons so far, but why does his ult scale off of his own crit dmg? He’s a harmony unit that doesn’t have a 100% crit rate basic like Bronya or does any extra dmg himself.
Sparkle also does the same, but you don’t see her doing damage. Actually scaling to the buffer is actually good as it could be increase further than being a flat buff, unless there is a cap
Every limited Harmony has scaling on one of their buffs, it’s just done so you have to actually build them
They probably plan to use atk bonus instead of crit dmg. Look at his base atk. It’s freaking huge, but for nothing.
Sparkle also has her buff scale on her cd, and she doesnt have 100% crit rate on her basic either.
Neither does Sparkle, he’ll probably never do dog anyway
They give harmony units Crit DMG scaling because it’s an extra stat to build that won’t affect their personal damage output much. Without CD scaling, Harmony units whose effects are otherwise difficult to scale, ie all action advancers, only really need to build speed, everything else is incidental.
All these comments to say…the huge advantage of break teams is that you don’t need a sustain, mobs don’t even attack you as often and are delayed to oblivion.

Lingsha truthers probably will reject the idea for this, that and the third but a 0 sustain break team had to happen eventually. And that’s what the pure metaheads will push anyway….
It’s not that simple for break teams since toughness damage matters A LOT.
For example, if you normally FF kills Hoolay in 3 attacks and break him in 2 turns with Lingshas help, your time to kill is 5 turns
If Fugue doesn’t deal enough toughness damage to keep the break time at 2 turns, but let’s you kill in 1 less attack. In this case you go to 2 attacks and 3 turns to break, which means your time to kill is the same as with Lingsha.
TLDR: Break teams are weird, so it’s not that simple.
Yeah I think everyone forgets. Lingsha in a break team. Can not only help with breaking the foe. More so if e1. They can also put out a fair bit of damage, along with boosting overall team damage. More so if they have sig lightcone or e1. Which Lingsha depending on when you use ultimate. Can get three to four attack in a row against a boss. Which can lead to lots of toughness damage.
