Is a team consisting of RMC, Castor, E1 Ruan Mei / E0 Tribbie, and Lingsha work?
Or are there other recommendations?
PS. I’m a Stelle main so it’s likely I won’t replace her unless in MOC / PF / AS where team must be the most optimal
That’s pretty much her BiS, but you can use Gallagher if your Lingsha is occupied by another team
Thanks!
Onion girl has a unique entrance animation whenever she enters battle via her Technique. Kinda cool tbh
Jingliu LC on Mydei with Castorice good? I’m planning to play a dual DPS team
By the way, how on earth does her passive resurrect skill works? like “when Castorice is in the team, you have a free resurrect”, which is already OP and helps not to ruin the run with unconditional oneshots (which happen frequently), or like, “After obtaining Castorice” in any fight, including endgame you can trigger an effect which will save your character (or characters) hit by a killing attack once? If you don’t need Castorice in team for this to work, I’m deleting HSR and I’m not freakin joking.
Second option. It always resurrects your characters, even if she is not on battlefield in any game modes. At least now on V1. However, it only works once per battle and if a character doesn’t get a shield or heal for one turn he will still lose all HP. In addition, this ability works between enemy actions and gives only 1 HP, so most of the time it is completely useless, as almost all elite enemies and bosses attack twice in a row and instantly destroy freshly resurrected characters. There is little reason to panic yet, it is possible that after negative feedback on test server the ability will be limited to squads with Castoria, or remove it altogether, we need to wait for at least V3, where often change many effects of new characters.
Where is this information coming from??
F*CK.
F*ck this game.
You’ll ALWAYS get a heal or a shield. Any modern sustain is able to heal a character with literally any of his actions. This means anyone who pulled Castorice now can simply take one death blow and still get three stars, which is OBVIOUSLY ABSURD since you can make a good run and then like take 3-4 enemy RNG hits in one Chara and it just disappears cause you’re unlucky. Now this problem doesn’t exist, And it gets worse, since if enemy like new Nikador oneshots all your team this… SHIT works on EVERYONE. Such situations happen once per run, and when in any other case the run could end it now continues, cause YOU PULLED FOR CASTORICE! SUCH AN ACHIEVEMENT! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
And as I remember from wording, Chara remains immortal until its action. That makes things even worse, but even if it protects from one hit, there’s an infinite possibilities where this bullshit saves your ass. No sustain runs, zero cycles, anything. I hope they just deleted this passive from this game FOREVER since it makes endgame much easier. ONLY if you pulled for Castorice of course. if this crazy thing lives till the live server, I’m freaking deleting the game.
Like how on earth did the idea came to their heads? Like “oh the character makes a million in three targets on 4 cost or something? LET’S GIVE HER A FREE RESURRECT AND MAKE HER A MUST PULL WITH NO ALTERNATIVE”
not quite any game mode that was a glitch it only revives when you are in over world so campaign, calyx, the like…yes
but things like moc, fiction, tale, and universe will not have the effect
Is it true? If yes, it doesn’t seem like a problem.
I like her and want to pull for her, but even I think this is unfair. Very P2W indeed.
I’ve been surviving end games because I have E6 Dan Heng, and I think it’s pretty P2W to think about you can reject meta by going E6.
But now this…
so for c0s0 player do you think give her herta lc and lose 12 crit from the new set or use Genius and do you think if we use Genius with speed feet it’s strong for more turn and make sunday faster her 166 and sunday 160 is more dmg ?
Unless you’ve super imposed it already, you’re better off not super imposing it at more than S2 so you can still benefit from the full Crit Rate on 4 pc Poet. An alternative is using the Bailu standard LC, despite not being a Remembrance LC it has a gazillion base HP, and just that alone makes it stronger than the Herta LC (according to HunterKee’s spreadsheet on Castorice. Otherwise, you’re kinda fucked in terms of LC options sadly, but they are likely going to release a 4* gacha LC later on like they did for Acheron, but it’s still.. not great for F2P.
As for your 160+ Castorice and 160 Sunday suggestion on Genius set, this is a bad idea for multiple reasons:
– Aside from the 10% Quantum DMG boost, the Genius set DOES NOT WORK on the Memosprite. For a set to work on the memosprite it needs to be explicitly written on the set’s description, like Poet. According to HunterKee’s spreadsheet on Castorice, 46% of Castorice’s damage output comes from the Dragon Skill, so using a set that doesn’t buff the dragon is already missing out on damage.
– Since you are looking at having more than 160 SPD on Castorice this means you are looking towards having: 160 – 95*(1+0.4) = 27 SPD, meaning you are either getting at least 27 SPD in substats or SPD Boots and at least 2 speed substats. For the former, you will be losing HP%, CR and CD substats while for the latter you will be losing HP% Boots, so in both cases you are going to lose damage.
– The speed tuning may not work out as you planned as her self speed buff of 40% is not always guaranteed, I will copy paste a part from a comment I wrote to demonstrate, but while it uses 133 and 132 SPD it’s still the same logic:
“Let’s pretend you just used the enhanced skill on Castorice, so you’re losing the SPD buff. Sunday’s next action will be in 75 AV (10000/132) while your next Casto action will be in 105 AV (10000/95), lets suppose that 33 AV passes for your next unit (it’s not too relevant who it is) then Sunday’s next action would be at 33 av (75-33) and Castorice’s at 72 (105-33), and let’s say this unit who just took their turn managed to get your Castorice back to 50%+ HP, so we apply the speed buff by doing 72*(95/133) and we get 51 av for Castorice’s next turn. 51 AV is higher than 33 av, which means she will take her turn AFTER Sunday despite regaining the speed buff.”
So essentially, doing your 160+ Castorice & 160 Sunday combo on a genius set will in fact give you more actions, but at the cost of using a set that does not buff your Dragon, doing less damage due to building more SPD, and a speed tuning that can desync based on factors such as the enemy lineup and how much damage your Castorice receives from them and how fast your allies are and if they can save your ass in time to get the action back behind Sunday by healing your Castorice. You are not particularly going to gain anything from doing this. I heavily suggest you stick to Poet, though you can most definitely keep Sunday on 160 SPD.
If your Herta LC is already super imposed at more than S2, and you REALLY do not want to pull her LC, then I suggest you use a lightcone with the highest base HP possible. Bailu’s, Blade’s, and Fu Xuan’s LCs all have 1270 base HP. If you don’t have any of them, you can use a 1164 base HP LC such as Bronya’s LC. And if you really don’t have one then you can use the 4* MoC shop LC, although it’s really not that good since the passive can never take effect and it’s a crit stick essentially with a lower base HP.
The current LC situation for Castorice really sucks (unlike when Firefly came out and Aeon was an amazing F2P option for her) and it’s most definitely by-design as Mihoyo has gotten pretty greedy lately (just look at the global account-wide passive). I sincerely hope that they release a F2P alternative, except that we won’t see one until at least 3.4 since they are already releasing an event LC that.. who could’ve guessed.. instead of giving an accessible LC for F2P Castorice owners no, they are making a free LC for Anaxa, as if there wasn’t already plenty of LCs he could’ve used and I even heard some people would rather use Passkey on him, A 3 STAR LIGHTCONE, just to use him as a Therta battery.
I don’t want to engage in the FOMO at all, it’s already pretty massive in this game and it’s rather toxic, but you I hope this explanation makes you aware of what you are losing by skipping her S1 essentially. Good luck o7
You lose around 30-40% of pure damage without her LC and takes loner to charge her ultimate since base HP will be lower and skill will conume less of it. Castorice absolutle no need of speed and attempts to buff her speed only reduce her damage. Cone that will do some effects placed in battle pass, but it’s too far from S1 bonuses.
I hope with all my heart that her global passive will not be removed.
Why would you hope for that? I get it, she is a character you like, I do too but, it sets a bad precedent that future characters can do the same. Imagine if a unit you don’t like at all, don’t want or want to skip for a future one or a rerun, has the same mechanic? (obviously not a revive again but, a global passive) You’d be pissed that you are basically forced to pull that unit to make your account as a whole better. I think if it was just for teams she is in, it would be very balanced but, in it’s current global state, it would do more harm than good. Please reconsider. As I said, I don’t want to see it gone altogether but, to be changed so she has to be in the team to activate it
So that Cyrene could have a global passive giving +100 crit rate, +200 crit dmg
So to send a message to the gaming industry that games should be even more predatory by catering to simps who have the willpower of a slug? Or just by showing an example that people like you will welcome this change so future charcters will all have some buffs and you will need to pull each and every one of them in order to keep up with the constant powercreep that will not only make your character become obsolete after 6 months, but your whole account obsolete after 1 year because you skipped a few 5* here and there?
I like her, but even I think this is too unfair.
P2W.
Don’t listen to the other filthy monkeys, just like the rest of the complainers, they are just a loud minority which the big streamers take advantage off to make it seem like a big thing. On everyone soul, this is the best thing to come of the game. It opens up many new possible gameplay for players, the normal one.
oh god, you really don’t know what you’re talking about huh?
me when im retarded and clueless
I have mixed feelings. She’ll obviously be absurdly broken on release (no way she won’t be since she’s a highly hyped “everyone’s waifu”), she has pretty good animations and not completely brain dead gameplay. On the other hand, ZERO f2p LC, unknown future. Enemies right now want you to attack fast, and this is definitely not about Castorice. You’re also had to pull for Hyacine since she’s obviously a remembrance sustain and possible HP buffer and Castorice with her insane hp consumption which even Luocha can’t always handle needs a new, better and faster sustain with a summon since the more the units on field and the more the summary hp on field the better for her.
What’s her team guys? I guess something like Mydei since he’ll stack her ult with speed of light, Harmony (Maybe Tribbie, maybe Sunday, maybe RMC), and Abundance (Luocha or Gallagher most likely). Maybe you’ll throw Mydei out and pick two harmonies with big buffs or something, IDK.
While Castorice I think will be in Mydei’s best team, I don’t think Mydei will be in her’s. Sure Mydei consumes his own HP but, Castorice and the enemies do that just fine, more healing for overcap stacks for her Ult and Summon I think would better. The teamcomp I think will be her best right now is, Sunday or RMC, Tribbie and Gallagher. While Luocha provides healing to the whole team, he doesn’t provide a lot of healing which ultimately means that her Summon doesn’t regenerate to full most of the time or you don’t charge her Ult fast enough.
from what I’ve seen the Mydei x Castorice team deals more damage than most hypercarry Castorice teams. I could be wrong though
Can anyone tell me why she doing so much damage even if her multiplier lower than Mydei and even blade. Look at mydei.
Mydei 12 k hp: –
Skl: -110%, Ult: -160%, Ehn skl: -280%
Even blade 8 k hp
Ehn basic: -100%, flw up: – 100% ult: -100% something
But castorice 8k hp
Joint atk: -24+42=66%, dragon: -30/34/38%=102% if atk 3 breath in a row which lower than mydei skill not even ehn one..
Ya last one 50×6=300% high. But even before that dragon breath does more dmg than blade entire rotation even multiplire lower than him..
In every website it writte dmg scale on her Hp. Is it actually wrong translate? Or Dragon dmg scale of its own 32k hp? Can anyone explain?
the dragon can repeatedly use its skill when it’s his turn, from what I’ve read
Ya consuming 25% hp dragon atk. Then consume again so atk on repeat and each repeat it get enhance. As its written as a 30%/34%/38%..of castorice max hp
So if atk 3 times in a row consuming 75% hp it will be 102% dmg multi which is lower than mydei normal skill in ven.. State
Or is it actually the dragon max hp? Or am I calculating wrong way?
What is the dragons actuall multiplier other than its self destruct?
Ok is there anything missing? Cuz seems like all her traces should be there but yet there was that shown her reviving a teammate but yet she wasn’t on the team. I don’t see that trace listed here
It’s not her trace, it’s her global buff, let me add it.

they need to keep Castorice and Anaxa like this until V5 and I love that both of them are broken right now.
Every new unit is broken on release, the problem is, if they powercreep the whole roster, then the endgame will inflate the HP again so, they can’t just sweep it. It’s actually better if they are good obviously but, if their power level is close to other units. It can be a little bit higher but, it shouldn’t be a lot higher because, it will make endgame even worse and will inevitably lead to them getting powercrept in the future as well
I don’t know how to feel about her E2 to be honest. We know that her basic rotation at E0 is (as long as HP allows) is to cast 3 Enhanced Skills then a Normal Skill on the first two turns of the Dragon, and on the last turn to cast all 4 Enhanced Skills as the dragon disappears, which makes a total of 10 enhanced skills. But with E2, this rotation becomes a bit awkward.
If you try to use as much Enhanced Skills as possible with E2 Castorice, then your rotation becomes:
Turn 1: 5 Enhanced Skills + 1 normal skill Turn (consume 2 stacks of “Ardent Will”)
Turn 2: 3 Enhanced Skills + 1 normal skill
Turn 3: 4 Enhanced Skills
This rotation has the most Enhanced Skills (it’s 12 which is just 2 more actions compared to e0 essentially which is literally what her e2 does) but what I find odd is even though this rotation has the most Enhanced Skill, and inherently should do the most DPAV, I find it weird that she cannot even fully stack the E1 in this rotation, unlike Feixiao’s E1 where it’s always guaranteed to fully stack it.
On the first turn, it will stack up 5 times, which means that each Enhanced Skills would have an equivalent of a 30(1+2+3+4+5)/5=90% DMG dealt increase, while the second has 30(1+2+3)/3=60% increase and the last turn would have a 30(1+2+3+4)/4=75% increase.
The only way to fully stack the E1 is to immediately kill the dragon by casting 6 enhanced skills in a single turn, so casting 6 enhanced skills that get a 30% DMG dealt increase for every skill cast would be equivalent to each enhanced skills having a DMG dealt increase of 30*(1+2+3+4+5+6)=105%, but doing so means either wasting 2 Dragon turns by casting the normal skill, or to kill the Dragon early which in both cases result in less amount of enhanced skills casted.
Now obviously, that’s just me nitpicking and it’s really not that big of a deal if you can’t even fully benefit from her E1 in her most optimal rotation, but I feel it would be better if “Ardent Will” could instead be consumed when the Dragon has 1% HP, so basically right before the Enhanced Skill turns into a Bounce attack and the Dragon disappears. This would allow to not have to waste the 2 “Ardent Will” on the first turn of the Dragon while still having an optimal rotation, and being able to fully benefit from her E1 on her very last attack for more satisfying DMG per screenshot!
Or another possibility to fix this, is instead of making the E1 buff expire at the end of the turn, it could simply last until the Dragon disappears. This way, the second and third turn will all have a fully stacked DMG Dealt increase of 180%.
Well, you could most likely get more attacks in if the enemies have Gallagher’s debuff or if Luocha’s field is up because, even if while attacking the dragon gets only 1% of it’s HP back, it would allow it to use another Skill and be kept alive at 1% for next turn. In my opinion, this is opening up the gateway for Hyacine to synergize well with her by healing the dragon so much that it can get these extra Skills in every turn.
I am pretty sure that there is something you are misunderstanding about game mechanics. Correct me if my interpretation of your comment is wrong, but what I am getting from your comment is that what YOU THINK having Luocha’s field/Gallagher’s debuff does is:
=== DRAGON TURN START
Dragon: Uses Enhanced skill
*dragon gets healed from Luocha field/Gallagher debuff*
Dragon: Uses Enhanced skill
*dragon gets healed from Luocha field/Gallagher debuff*
and this repeats until you cancel the turn by using the Dragon’s normal skill or by killing it
=== DRAGON TURN END
If that’s what you think, then you are completely wrong. Gallagher’s debuff and Luocha’s field only heal the attacker after the enemy is ATTACKED, and the Dragon using skills multiple time does NOT count as multiple attacks. It is instead one MULTI-INPUT ATTACK, exactly like Acheron’s and Feixiao’s ultimates. You can test this out in-game by either:
– Use Acheron’s ultimate against a Traffic Light that has a shield. The shield of the traffic light only disappears after it is attacked, and using Acheron’s ultimate against a Trafic Light with an active shield will literally not dispel the shield until the end of the ultimate, and the Trafic Light essentially has received 0 damage.
– Use Acheron’s ultimate with Luocha/Gallagher and look carefully at the HP bar, you will only get healed at the end of the attack, you won’t be healed 3 times because you had 3 different inputs in Acheron’s ultimate.
– Use Acheron’s ultimate with Robin on the team. Robin’s additional DMG only occurs after using an attack. Despite the fact you are inputting 3 times in Acheron’s ultimate, there will only be 1 Robin instance of DMG at the end of the ultimate.
So no, it is NOT possible to squeeze an extra skill using Luocha’s field or Gallagher’s debuff because those types of healing specifically only heal you after an attack was used, and the Dragon’s turn counts as A SINGLE ATTACK.
The only way to cast multiple attacks in a single turn (excluding extra turns such as FuAs) is by using a Joint-Attack, but when the Dragon doesn’t have any Joint-ATK on its own (only Castorice’s skill does). Otherwise, there is currently NO other ways to cast multiple attacks in a single ability. Additional damage such as Robin’s or Tribbie’s DMG does not count as attacks.
Acheron and Feixiao are the first characters to be able to use multiple abilities in a single turn (well actually, extra-turn because an ultimate counts as an extra-turn), and Feixiao was the first one to be able to alternate between different abilities during said extra-turn. Now, we essentially have the same thing with Castorice except that it’s in an actual turn instead of an extra turn.
“you could most likely get more attacks ” So this is false because it’s a single attack.
“it would allow it to use another Skill ” False because the healing does not occur until the end of the attack.
And if I’m misunderstanding your comment and that is not what you meant, then I’m not really sure what you mean. As for your speculation, I’m not going to comment much on that. I’m not doubting that it can be a possibility, but that means that Hyacine would need to be able to heal outside of her own turn by giving a healing that is not dependant on attacks, but rather on abilities used and/or instances of damage dealt. The latter is actually already possible in the beta against the Dragon boss, when you deal DMG to it, it will instantly heal a tiny amount of HP to all your team, which makes the HP bars on your team look like they’re continuously healing (instead of a big healed bar suddenly appearing) when you are using Pollux’s Enhanced Skill as it casts a lot of damage instances.
But then, even if Hyacine were to do that for example, she would need to be able to heal 8k (0.25 * 32k) HP this way to give the Dragon an additional skill. While I don’t doubt that Hyacine will powercreep the entire Abundance cast in terms of total healing output, I find 8k healing in a single ally-turn to quite the *huge* amount, and I’m not gonna speculate restrictions on that such as “this healing can only happen once every 3 turns” or some shit like that, I’m just not going to further comment on it.
