High five to Firefly Bros in beta, who made this change possible. Peakfly >>> midhill. Thanks for your fight, you’re the best, boyz.
This obviously trolling guy aside. Boothill is still great. What just happened was that the new piece was nerfed for him. However, unaware to those who were crying in frustration, the new piece is actually much better for the general break teams. ALL BREAK TEAMS (except boothill) NEED SUPERBREAK to be viable. Yes, even Xueyi. IF you want to make Xueyi viable without superbreak, just give her quantum set and aim for a good crit ratio.
This.
He is still the only hunt unit who will always have the right weakness on his enemy.
And the duelist/cowboy archetype fits the hunt so damn well.
Such a flavor win.
Cant expect Hoyoverse to favor him. First of all, the patch focuses on FF rather than Boothill. Second, FF is obviously the more popular character. And third, Boothill is … just a filler guy.
And 4th he isn’t worse than Firefly, he does what he does better and Firefly does her thing better
You ever heard of a path?
Yeah. She is just better on more things.
Exactly. Hunter path is gimped right now, Firefly is more versatile as a Destruction Path unit and literally does a better job in all gamemodes, new one included (supposedly Hunter Path lol) than Boothill. And don’t let me start about how Boothill is useless in PF, while Firefly still shines there.
A good reality check for Boothill pullers, you still can make a better choice.
Or, if you were joking (most likely), than that was a nice one. XD
Dan Heng IL >>>> Ratio
Jingliu >>>> Yangqing
E6 Xueyi >>> Seele
Destruction >>>>> Hunt
It has been and always will be.
Only one of those is actually unconditionally correct, and it’s YANQING, basically anyone is better than Yanqing
All of you are saying not to pull when the majority of us are doing it cuz hes hot, not for the DPS
“majority of us”
That’s rich. What, few dozens of fujos?
if you think its just fujos that like boothill, you’re pretty ignorant. both guys and girls like him, because not only is he hot he’s also pretty cool
Joke’s on you, when his design got leaked on Reddit, a lot of people commented on how unique he looks and will pull.
Also, does he even have a ship? Mocking pullers as “Fujo” without even knowing the meaning of it makes you look like a clown. But ig no wonder with that user name of yours.
Comments on uniqueness ≠ pull value, it proves nothing. He will be skipped by majority for Firefly, who is so much better than him not only gameplay-wise, but animations and design-wise and because she’s a waifu. Waifus just sell better.
And of course he must have a ship, we are talking about fujos after all. They’ll ship everything even if there are no interactions between characters. I’m certain their sh*thole twitter is littered with art of some ridiculous ship like Argenti & Boothill.
You, mister, seem to have a lot of hate for the opposite gender irl while simping for said opposite gender in the digital world. I feel really bad for you. If waging a gender war on 01010-bit paper guys and gals makes your life better, then enjoy your waifus ig.
I am sure you will grow up one day. Now let me go and buy some milk. don’t wait for me tho, the shop is very far.
I am sure you will grow up one day. Now let me go and buy some milk from the store. don’t wait for me on dinner, the shop is very very far.
Yeah. Not gonna stop the salt though.
Yuck! Speak only for yourself. I don’t do that with the characters I pull.
If you don’t as you say, you wouldn’t reacted at all.
Planar set and Iron Cavalry 4-pc set effect both got nerfed for Boothill. Don’t pull him or you’ll regret it later.
Regret what ? He at least can bu built as crit/break hybrid , not like other (firefly)
Boothill’s kit has no Super Break built in while Firefly’s has (and future BE characters will also have SB in their kits), he is not futureproof, sadly. There will be no new dedicated SB based supports (imagine something like buffing +50% SB damage) or relic sets for him. And you know how support dependent HSR is. Boothill will just fall of quickly.
And then come supports that increase physical damage and further buff characters when applying weakness effects, as well as buffing standard attacks…
Neither you or me know what future characters can and will do.
Who knows, maybe we will get a super break buffer that advances turns so you can have that and RM as BiS team…
Boothill got another massive L with new 4-pc BE artifact changes. Don’t waste your primos on him or you’ll regret it.
saying don’t waste or you’ll regret it is crazy when in reality, he only lost 8% def shred. while it was an L, it wasn’t a massive enough L to warrant not to pull for him.
It’s not though. I highly doubt he’ll get any future supports for his kit New supports most likely will be Super Break based, and he lacks SB in his kit. Better to choose characters with SB in their kits (like Firefly). He got excluded from new relic set for a reason and let’s be honest, he is a filler character and soon devs and playerbase will forget about him, so low chance he’ll get anything specially for him.
saying he’s just a filler character let’s me know you don’t know anything about his lore lmao. you act like he can’t trigger superbreak..? he can trigger superbreak with HMC, and if they release new superbreak supports he will also be able to trigger their superbreak as well. not just firefly can trigger it.
Ah yes, lore hidden in his profile. Interesting, how many people will know about his tragic history with IPC from archives only. There’s a reason why some characters are getting quests so we can learn more about them and why some are left out, and that reason is simple – Boothill is a forgettable filler character.
You mentioned his major drawback with SB yourself, he is now dependent on HMC to trigger it, while his best team stays RM + Bronya. Firefly and future characters with SB will get supports, while Boothill will fall of.
people were intending on pulling him prior to their own knowledge of this set existing. I don’t think the minor loss will be enough to deter people from pulling him, especially so when you consider most have probably already done their needed relic prefarming for him at this point—nothing to lament being freed of farming another set.
You are so valid for that username sister/brother/other. Massive Respect.
And smart with their resources people will pull for more future proof characters (Firefly for example).
And it’s always bad to have fewer relic set options.
8% def shred, such a massive L, game unplayable
And I’ll spend my primos on genshin characters thank you
Game is perfect, just pull Firefly instead of Boothill and you are golden in all gamemodes.
And, jokes aside, Genshin characters are a great choice too.
(I said that because they said primos instead of jades)
proceed him being the only character who deal 1m single target so nah FFtard
I haven’t farmed relics for Boothill yet. I was gonna start farming once 2.2 started but because Firefly is coming out a new Break Effect relic set is coming too. Should I use my fuel now or wait for the new set?
I wouldn’t do any heavy relic farming for him just yet. I’m personally waiting for 2.3 to use my fuel stash for the new ones. In the meantime, I made a placeholder set from some Thief relics I had laying around so I can somewhat use him when he releases.
I recommend waiting for the new set, just use some leftover pieces with Break Effect and Speed in th meantime
I’d personally pre-farm, then haul the relic set off to another character once Boothill has a good set going.
Only farm the planar talia set for now and wait for his relics
Don’t waste your fuel on new relics, both planar set and 4-pc Iron Cavalry got nerfed for him.
The planar set never benefitted him? It requires fire weakness which isn’t what Boothill normally fights
You are right, my mistake.
is his light cone must pull?
I don’t think so. He can deal high damage even with 3* cone. But his signature con is strong.
If you don’t get his sig I’d recommend River Flows in Spring or Adverserial as they give Spd which is basically the only other thing he needs than break effect
I think swordplay is better cause it’s an dmg bonus very significative
DMG boosts doesnt affect Break Effect damage
wait reaIIy??? Damn so i’ve been farming for nothing TT… weII at Ieast super break do gives extra dmg on it….right?
Nope
