| Character Details | Despair plays in cycles between the past and future. Countless ideals were incinerated before that red garment. Yet, do not let this smear of ashes fool you — Should someone create a phantasmal sweet dream under the guise of false ideals, then he will burn again, facing down the hypocrites of the world till the very end. No matter where he is, he always remains the steadfast hero of justice. |
| Character Story: Part I | Most days, the man conducts himself as a composed realist who efficiently completes his tasks. But similar to seasoned office workers of a certain age, he sometimes betrays the pessimism that experience brings, which fuels a disgust with himself, leading to sharp-tongued comments that slip out whether he intends them or not. "No, that's not quite right." "Most people never overcome the self-loathing that accumulates with age because they can never truly confront the person they once were." "Not that confrontation is always beneficial." "...Let's just move on from this topic." In essence, as long as he avoids direct confrontation with his less mature former self or anyone who resembles that person, the man proves himself an exceptionally stable and mature Servant. While he occasionally grumbles about his current responsibilities, he fulfills every task with absolute dedication and meticulous care. — Though it bears mentioning that his complaints often cut with such precision and insight that observers wonder if he once pursued a career as an author. "I can't help being brutally honest. It's in my nature. Truthfully, would anyone who's had their life disrupted by such an irrational, demanding young lady turn out any differently?" * Unlocked at Character Level |
| Character Story: Part II | The man's journey began in a time of turmoil. Like a persistent gadfly that refuses to settle, having lived through the Holy Grail War as a mere mortal, he abandoned his homeland for the world's most volatile regions, raising the banner of righteous judgment — determined to become a hero of justice. But his journey proved anything but easy. Throughout the world, the man sparked numerous armed rebellions, yet strangely, not one prevailed. Despite escaping over ten assassination plots, hundreds of ambushes, and even several execution squads, he found himself facing the gallows during a short visit to his homeland, betrayed by a former friend. But that's not why he resents his former self... At least, not the failures. What he truly loathes is that idealistic boy who dreamed of becoming a companion of justice, yet knew nothing of the price such a journey would demand. Enforcing one's justice necessitates robbing another of freedom. Implementing justice for thousands inevitably means mountains of severed heads and rivers of blood. Justice may sound like a beautiful word — but its unbearable weight is sufficient to drown the young dreamer in the very ocean of ideals he cherished. "I've expressed similar thoughts before, but those were simply moments of frustration speaking." "Our environment and emotions can dramatically reshape who we are. Even completely identical beings might make entirely different choices when standing at fate's crossroads." "Those who resemble me aren't necessarily me, and those who are me don't necessarily resemble me. After all, no one can find salvation beyond the boundaries of their own perspective." Ideals will always trample competing ideals, and destinies inevitably destroy other destinies. The young aren't blind to these realities. But a true companion of justice must remain fearless despite knowing this, as the man has finally learned to value this quality. * Unlocked at Character Level |
| Character Story: Part III | Kanshou and Bakuya, these twin blades are the man's weapons of choice, continuously reproduced through Projection Magecraft without a second thought for how many break in battle. Theoretically, any armament the man comprehends thoroughly can be "projected as a counterfeit countless times." However, due to some entanglements of karma, the man's Projection magecraft only reaches absolute perfection when creating objects that qualify as "swords." "Sounds like a merchant selling knockoffs? Well, that's about right." "It's hardly the most honorable approach, but it's perfectly tailored for dealing with those self-important types who fabricate rules just to stand above others and exert their authority." According to ancient legend, Kanshou and Bakuya were master swordsmiths. A husband-and-wife duo who exhausted every conceivable method attempting to overcome a fundamental limitation: That craftsmen couldn't control the quality of their forged blades, leaving each creation to fate's whims. From this point, the tale branches into numerous versions. One claims that Bakuya sacrificed herself to the furnace, becoming one with the molten metal, enabling Kanshou to forge blades of unprecedented perfection that would never be equaled. In the more widely celebrated version, a tyrannical ruler, frustrated by the slow pace of sword forging, executed Kanshou after receiving the masterpiece blades. Then, Bakuya escaped to the countryside with their child. Years later, this grown child encountered a wandering swordsman, and together they plotted revenge against the tyrant, a confrontation where all three ultimately perished together. Does the man's own destiny mirror these ancient tales? If similarities exist, what did he ultimately sacrifice? Himself, his companions, or perhaps some cherished ideal? No one knows. What people do know is that he offered himself as its foundation for the sword residing in his heart — His body serving as steel, his blood as flame. Though he crafted thousands of blades throughout his journey, in the end, he stood empty-handed, possessing nothing at all. Just like his {RUBY_B#Unlimited Blade Works}mindscape{RUBY_E#}. "But isn't this precisely what life is about?" "No sword can remain in one person's possession forever. You must either store it away, pass it to another's hands, or... use it until its very last moment." "And only then, can you truly start again with a clean slate." * Unlocked at Character Level |
| Character Story: Part IV | Within the Holy Grail War's formal classification system, the man is categorized as {RUBY_B#Archer}a bow user{RUBY_E#}. This designation might seem like a subtle mockery for someone whose very essence revolves around "swords," yet the man himself remains completely unbothered by this apparent contradiction. "Let's be practical. Isn't eliminating enemies from a distance far more efficient than facing them head-on?" "Or were you expecting me to act like those {RUBY_B#Sabers}swordmasters{RUBY_E#}, unleashing devastating beams of light that level everything? Don't be absurd. I'm just an ordinary person without their overwhelming magical energy reserves." However, contrary to his statements, the man never hesitates to engage in close combat when the situation demands it. Leveraging his practically infinite supply of "Kanshou and Bakuya," he uses dazzlingly complex sword skills that leave opponents struggling to defend themselves. "If regular bullets could get the job done, I wouldn't bother going through all this trouble." "But if you really wanna learn this move? Spend some time in the kitchen. Start by getting good with a knife." "I'm not messing around. Cooking teaches you a lot if you actually think about it. Take meal prep, for instance. You want a great dish on the table fast? You gotta break down every step, figure out what can be done at the same time, and streamline the whole process. Once you get the hang of that mindset, you'll start applying it to everything in your life. It saves you a ton of time." "Same with cooking temps. Newbies always think stir-frying means tossing everything into the pan in order until it's all cooked through." "That works fine for stuff that can take the heat. But other ingredients? They've got their own ideal cooking time and temp, so they don't always get along." "So most of the time, you've gotta sort your ingredients, adjust the heat for each one, and pull them off the burner at just the right moment. Then, bring everything back together to finish the dish balanced, flavorful, and just right." Once he starts talking about cooking, the guy shifts gears entirely. Gone is his usual short-and-sharp talk. Instead, he dives into these long, thoughtful monologues, full of hard-won insight. For a man who's spent his whole life on the battlefield, it seems like what defines him isn't justice or suffering, but something quieter. Something like the everyday warmth of a home-cooked meal. "Like I said before, if you could take out your enemies from a distance with a sniper shot, nobody would risk getting up close and personal. It's the same when it comes to fate." "I exist to prove one thing: somewhere out there, in a corner of the world, there are people who have no choice but to fight fate in brutal, hand-to-hand combat, every single day. Because if they don't, they die." "I fought for them once. But the world only changed because people kept going, kept fighting fate without pause." "As for me... I'm just a man with nothing left, who's still a long way from ever {RUBY_B#reaching utopia}beating fate{RUBY_E#}." One thing's for sure: He's not turning away from his mission to save humanity. Just like he never says no to cooking for his friends. * Unlocked at Character Level |

V5 update :
They decreased his skill multiplier from 400% to 360%. Overall a -10% difference.
Can i build a spd Archer and use seele lc for him?
question:
1. why is his skill on same level as seeles ult (superior if you consider a 200% dmg bonus plus 5 usage per turn )
2. does each individual usage of his skill restore energy
3. can his skill trigger luochas talent heal multiple times and can it generate multiple stacks for feixiao
4. can he maximize the effect of sushang lc
1. Considering his skill act multiple times, the same way Seele does (Resurgence), but WITHOUT killing enemy first (Archer), at the cost hungry sp poin, it’s kinda similar but in reverse way. Take your poison: the ability to brute force anything (mob or elite) without wasting turn or one shot to anything in conserve way (if you lucky her Resurgence can activate)
2. Yes
3. Yes
4. Yes and no, but not recommended

Wait, since when did Hoyoverse do crossovers? I also noticed Saber is in here as well. i guess we’re doing a Honkai Star Rail x Fate/Stay Night. Genshin can use a crossover as well 🙂
Hoyo is no stranger to crossovers. Genshin did one with Horizon: Zero Dawn. Zenless has yet to do a crossover though. Hi3 has tons of crossovers with other IPs and even their own IPs, and Tears of Themis did one with Teletubbies a while back.
Oh, yeah, you’re right. I forgot about Aloy lol. I have her and her bow but since we can’t upgrade her Constellations or her weapon. I got her chillin in the Serenitea Pot still on level 1 lol.
isn’t Archer from the FATE/Estrella series/game?? I also seen Saber on here from the same series too. Is there going to be a HSR x FATE crossover?
Yes
Question: What are best cones outside of his? I have every hunt cone save for BP hunt cone + Ratio’s, and I don’t plan to pull at all on collab banner because it feels like next level scam due to pity being completely separate from usual limited banner, and you still have to deal with potential loss. I’m not in the mood to throw away around 80 pulls just to be spooked by dumb shit like Bailu’s cone, on a banner that is completely separate entity from the usual banner. Meaning, I can’t just save up my loss for some future banner’s cone. I don’t want that. Therefore, I want to know which cones it the best alternative for him.
See you at the end. That is the event light cone that should become available along with his release.
Hope his E2 generates 1-2 SP
Have we heard or seen anything about Hunt March with Archer? If each Archer skill gives March charge, then she will get her enhanced basic really fast, and that buffs shifu’s crit damage by 60%. Also enables Izumo/Duran, and she’s an SP gen.
wait…. March7 get a change for every Attack by her talent and then there Is the follow up from the eidolon “After Shifu uses Basic ATK or Skill to attack an enemy target, March 7th immediately launches a follow-up attack and deals Imaginary DMG equal to 60% of March 7th’s ATK to the primary target of this attack. Additionally, triggers the corresponding effect based on Shifu’s Path and then gains 1 point(s) of Charge. If there is no primary target available to attack, then attacks a single random enemy instead. This effect can only trigger once per turn.”
i wonder if March7 will interrupt archer’ s “cicuit connection” (bad) or if She Will take action After it’s ending
If you’re talking about March 7th getting enough charge for an enhanced basic attack, it just makes her next on the turn order which won’t interrupt Archer’s Circuit Connection as his turn won’t end.
I’m not sure about her follow up, but I don’t think it will end his turn either, even if it does play in the middle of his turn.
That look works but also look goofy tbh. Let me write this down:
1. Every time Archer atk, give stack to March, so him comsuming…let’s say 3 times (6 sp), only give her 3 stacks.
2. She can trigger FuA per turn after Archer finish his action, which also give stack to herself, and simultaneously triggering Archer FuA at same time, “ring around the rosie” kind of thing (if he has “Charge” stack), so +1sp recovery.
3. Her Enhanced basic atk can’t recover sp, that’s the downside right there, but she can give him buff nonetheless.
4. Thanks to March’s skill, she can help herself to break Quantum enemy (very good in Apoc)
5. Duet with her, you can put Izumo for Archer.
Summary: her buff really niche, but the downside is you have to measure up Archer attacking when she’s gonna use enhanced basic atk RIGHT before her AV so close, otherwise that’s gonna be waste. Also, aside from positive sp unit, she sometimes can’t do sp recover in her Enhanced basic atk.
Ugh, you’re right about her enhanced basic not generating sp, so she’d have to be faster than Sparkle (who should be at 160.1+) to consistently get a normal basic between full Archer combos. Sparkle, Archer, and March acting should all happen with no action value passing, so March would act again before Sparkle and Archer. Skipping an Archer combo shouldn’t be too bad, since the 60% crit dmg buff to shifu lasts 2 turns and March will act right before Sparkle again.
Base + Boots + e1(10%) = 137.2, so probably more than 10 rolls of speed to be faster than Sparkle, which set bonuses (hopefully 4pc musketeer) can help with.
Not awful, but now her personal damage is in question. I’m pretty proud of my current 144 speed March build, but her basic/fua ends up doing 8k, her ult like 15k, and her enhanced basic hits between 50-100k due to it’s random amount of hits, with only Sparkle buffs. Ngl, maybe 100k after an Archer combo kinda sucks. She’s usable. If she’s fast.
Cipher gives 40% vulnerability and deals 12% of Archer’s total damage with not even all of her ult’s damage. I’m getting her s1 so 24% def reduction too. Without speed tuning shenanigans. And contributing to Sparkle’s A6. I think I’ll just run Rutilant/Duran on Archer.
I should correct myself that the percentage of Archer’s damage Cipher can do again is 24%
The fact that his SPD is 2 away from getting the full benefits from 4pc. Poet infuriates me
oh what the fk i just calculated it
105-(105*0.08)= 96.6
this is bullshit bruh hopefully they lower the spd in v3
So. hmm.
I have Sparkle and Fu Xuan. For this guy’s last teammate (and skill point generator), do I go Cypher or buffed Silver Wolf? Cypher is better at generating SP and lets both characters use the Duran planar set…
eh, who am I kidding. the answer is probably going to be “I can’t afford to roll on either, given my other wants from this series of patches”
i have an unused Sparkle tooand i’m search ing reason to pull for the cat, i love her model , voice , moveset and personality but her kit seems really nothing special. ( for Acheron, Pela with Cipher Cone probably Is the same, and buffed SW looks even Better). i was thinking She Will be great with Archer but just now popped up the synergy with March 7 . i’m skipping Hyacine now for Cipher but i’m really sad
waifu over meta
As of rn silver wolf after he buff puts archers damage far above what ciphers does even when factoring in ciphers damage but their both so Op it honestly falls upon who u want more tbh
the concern is that cipher never has to skill, she gens sjill points really fast. I guess SW is only missing out on 13 all res shred by not skilling… but that’s still a concern. GAR needs so many skill points…
