| Character Story: Part I | "Ah, you were born in a remote city-state. Your parents departed early, leaving only your older sister by your side, barely supporting the family on the meager income she earned from taming animals. You have been reclusive and isolated since childhood. While your peers frolicked on the grassy fields, you would hide alone in the shadows of trees and pick up fallen leaves from the ground. 'Why do the dromases not fly toward the sky?' You look upon the dromas that grew up alongside you, mumbling to yourself. 'Maybe because this dromas used to be a nerd in its past life too!' You've heard these words spoken all too often, but you never understood why it was used as a form of mockery. 'If the gods are omnipotent, what do they fear death?' In the temple where sacred teachings are recited, the very things deemed unquestionable inevitably stir your doubts. 'Out, Anaxagoras!' The furious priest often throws you out of the temple. | Character Story: Part III | "Sages of the Grove: Regarding how some scholars accuse me of the three great sins, 'academic defamation,' 'corrupting youths,' and 'religious heresy,' I don't intend to entertain their cheap tricks, nor will I bother defending myself. However, considering how this might allow everyone to better understand my research, I'll briefly explain it. According to them, I committed the sin of academic defamation when I publicly disparaged the classic research of Titan studies and parapsychology, claiming them to be 'a black tide of the academic world.' Answer me this: Was my evaluation incorrect? A study about whether Titans can stand on the head of a pin, and a study that posits the nature of souls as water. They persist until this day because of certain authorities. How is that any different from a mental black tide? I studied in the Grove since I was a child, and thoroughly understand that the revolution of ideas can only be achieved through criticism and suspicion. I encourage students to challenge my authority, and this is what they claim to be 'corrupting youths.' Take Phainon and Castorice, for example. When they first began their studies, they were clueless about how to think and what logic is. Look at them now. They can render me speechless sometimes! | Character Story: Part IV | "Even up till today, I still disagree with that bizarre Flame-Chase Journey. However, there is one statement that left a deep impression — Losses are a constant on the Flame-Chase journey. I never believed that the Chrysos Heirs shared the same destiny, but I am undoubtedly also on the path of losses. Yet, I have not lost enough... In comparison to what I pursue, I have not lost enough to fulfill the law of equivalent exchange. After I had proposed the theory that the nature of souls of Titans and humans are no different, and that souls are constructed from seeds of wisdom, I have been waiting for a chance to prove it once and for all... Now, the opportunity has presented itself! It came rather unexpectedly, but also right on time. Today, I can finally make up for the regret, akin to a calamity, from numerous years ago. I gained inspiration from death, and should repay as such. My body shall become the vessel to forge the Coreflames of gods, and my soul shall become the chains that force the gods to bow. That will become the ultimate evidence for my theory! I am incredibly happy now. I once smiled like this, when I first created a mechanical bird that could fly in the sky. For a rope, would it be better to go with ERR or ATK%?, i was thinking ERR to help him spam is ult even more, but i’ve also heard that its not super necessary if you have his LC? so im not super sure which one to be going for on him, AND since im already asking, is it better to use HP% or Quantum dmg% for Cas orb?
he is ATK base char isnt? ( glory, cause i hate fuc*** DPSs hp based ) then for the orb, elem.% and atk% is always good. for the rope i think its depends on whats do you want of anaxa, if a partner of Herta i think its better EER. if an hypercarry or offensive sub dps, it should be ATK%. i think
im pulling him for herta, so i will try a lushaka set or a rutilant, with orb quantum and ER rope
Would a wind% orb be better than atk% for Anaxa. I have err rope and want to use the extra therta lc i got on him. Also how much speed is necessary for him to be good with the herta

For Cas HP%.
If you play him in the optimal way and have lightcone u should go ATK%. In a optimal playstyle u will use skill/basic which gives 30 energy (basic gives 30 thanks to trace), with the optimal conditions he will use another skill immediately for free. (+30) and his lc will give another 10 energy a turn. This totals to 70 energy per turn which is exactly half his ult cost getting u a 2 turn ult in optimal conditions. without lc er rope would also give a 2 turn ult.
As for castorice HP% orb would be better. She already gets so much dmg% from her kit. talent gives up to 60% dmg bonus. 10% memosprite talent. another 90% (realistically) from trace 3 up to potentially 180% in optimal conditions. giving you 160%/250% dmg bonus. when you consider buffers some give dmg bonus aswell. But currently none give hp increases (fu xuan and lynx are useless) (hyacine is leaked to give hp icnreases but no numbers, but she is also leaked to give dmg bonus making hp% likely still the better option). Stacking as much hp as possible is defenitely a good choice.
With his LC he can get 2 turn ult with atk% rope, without and energy LC he needs ERR rope for 2 turn ult
err for a sub-dps for madam herta, for main dps go atk%

While this may be a true statement, I don’t thing your going to find many people on here to be new players or people who care about the new player experience
cause you know.. hardly a new player came to characters guides like this.. so almost everybody here are mid-old players

He just went from “OP most powerful in ST than any Hunt DPS that isn’t Feixiao while being a Erudition unit” to “very strong meta DPS that can be used in different teams”
For The Herta, he is strictly better than Jade in “3 or less ennemies” scenarios and a bit better in “4-5 target scenarios”. If Jade is E1, Anaxa that bit of an upgrade tho.

Male Debuff Restored. To be fair they did buff him a few times but I guess he was starting to get dangerously close to outshining the poster child or something so they dialed it back
Would the pioneer or scholar set be better on him?, i’d assume it scholar cause it gives a direct boost to skill and ultimate, but the pioneer seems pretty good on him too since he can essentially have the doubled effect at 100% uptime. As for the 2pc, im assuming arena set, but glamoth and izumo seem pretty viable on him as well.

Anaxa in a Therta team gets like 220 free crit dmg. My current annexa build is like 75 crit rate and 360crit dmg so i will definitely use Izumo
Anaxa in Therta team don’t get 140 crit dmg.
Anaxa can’t get the 140% Crit dmg unless his the only Erudition unit on his team, so… he gets only 80% Crit dmg from Therta
The Calcs I’ve seen say pioneer and scholar are close to neck and neck for hypercarry Anaxa with the difference being so minimal that it comes down to which has better substats(but that fine margin actually has Pioneer ahead of Scholar), and Wind set for Therta subDPS Anaxa
I haven’t seen anyone recommend any 2pc other than arena… and maybe glamoth as a backup… but pretty sure the answer is arena.
Genius is his best set by a small margin (outside pf) at e0s0 and gets significantly better if you have s1 and/or e1, and the gap gets even bigger if you’re running him with a support who gives def ignore/reduction but it’s not the best cavern to farm so scholar is good enough unless you really like him or have a set already farmed. but if you’re using him with Herta exclusively don’t bother with genius just use scholar. you might have issues implanting quantum against trash mobs before they die (like in pf) if he’s subdps so scholar would be more consistent overall as well as more efficient to farm. but his dmg ceiling lies with the genius set (just be careful not to overcap def pen)

Any V3 Changes?
His base ATK and Talent got nerfed but his Skill got buffed so now it deals more DMG based on the number of enemies on the field.
His E2 also got reworked.
