  1. So it has been confirmed and revealed that Honkai Impact 3rd is collaborating with HSR, within Hi3’s 8th anniversary. Sparkle will also be a playable character on there. Thoughts?

    • Collabo with fate grand order I am unconcerned because I’m not interested. Collabo with other hoyoverse games is a no no. Many of my friends suffered from liking these games and the characters in there by continuous mockery and unyielding arrogance of the dev team. Therefore, the farther HSR stay from honkai impact 3 the more I like it. Luckily the HSR dev team has the same in mind they made the difference huge enough between similar characters so I can view them as unrelated individuals.

      • Sorry to tell you, but HSR is directly connected to HI3, the Welt in HSR is the exact same Welt from HI3
        As far as the other expies go, Silver Wolf is basically Haxxor Bunny 2, the rest have some changes
        Also if you have so much hate for Hoyoverse direct it to the higher-ups not the development team, and don’t pretend HSR is more friendly than the other games

        • I don’t think it’s in unpopular opinion at all. Ur just hearing some crazed HI3 fans fanboy

          I’d genuinely be a massive turn off if they started adding HI3 stuff, or they try to diminish HSR by fitting it in that universe. The moment they start mentioning some cringe herrscher or whatev, the game will go down hill. There’s a reason Honkai Impact is down in the gutter revenue wise.

          Welt just seems to be there as a cool easter egg/face to remember. He showed exactly 0 strength throughout.

          • Welt has flashbacks of Otto when seeing Luocha, it’s not an expy he’s just the same Welt
            HSR is probably a bubble universe which would make it a part of the HI3 universe but doesn’t necessarily mean it will have any deeper connection to that game

        • HSR is more friendly, it is the fact. We don’t nerf something into dust when the banner is over. We don’t render everything you have unusable by something called HSR: part II. We don’t highlight a war criminal and clownify the protagnist in the story. Among hoyoverse games we have most intensive QoL updates and the fastest response to the communities and players and the least arrogant dev team. This is why I still accept this game despite I dislike the hoyoverse compacy as a whole.

          • I won’t be talking about HI3 because it’s the game i care the least about (mainly due to no playable males)
            In terms of pulls HSR gets the most (excluding ZZZ which has only had 2 patches) of the 3
            However HSR also pumps out characters twice as fast as Genshin (Genshin rarely releases 2 characters in a single patch meanwhile HSR is only now slowing down, and they just put out a patch with 6 characters at once)
            If we compare the triple banner in HSR to the chronicled wish in Genshin, Genshin’s is technically more generous (with the exception of the annoying fate point system which I won’t defend)
            Triple banner is quite literally just 3 character banners at once, if used to cycle characters faster it’s good but if used to fomo popular characters (eg putting multiple characters for one comp on) then it’s not going to be good
            chronicled wish is made up exclusively of old and standard characters, it’s a way to get forgotten, badly selling or just old characters and weapons for players who want them, with the added novelty that you can lose your 50/50 to another limited 5*
            Onto the artifact system
            Genshin gives you 5 slots, which allows for an off piece
            HSR gives you 4 relics and 2 planers, no breathing room
            ZZZ gives you 6 slots, with room for a 4pc and 2pc in any configuration
            Genshin let’s you do ~4 artifact runs per day, ZZZ allows 5 and HSR allows 6 (+4 weekly planar runs), so it’s inversely proportional to the convenience of the system BUT Genshin and HSR both suffer from variable subsats which ZZZ does not have as all subs have a fixed value
            In terms of QoL, Genshin was pretty slow to act until recently when they’ve started giving drastic improvements, HSR and ZZZ have both been adding QoL consistently since day 1
            In terms of war criminals, Genshin has Scaramouche, HSR gets the Universe’s most wanted, the woman who tried to sell Belobog, the soul seller, the woman who wants to revive the swarm, OTTO APOCALYPSE and the funny short girl
            Obviously half of that’s a joke but there’s more than enough morally questionable characters in hsr too
            “downplaying the main character” yeah you lose to the 4th harbinger, big deal you’re not the strongest being ever
            If I were to score the 3 games (2 points for the best, 1 for 2nd place and 0 for 3rd)

            Pulls per patch: HSR 2, ZZZ 1, Genshin 0
            Relic system: Genshin gets 2 points for that life saving off-piece, ZZZ gets 1 and HSR gets 0
            QoL: HSR and ZZZ both get 2, Genshin gets 1 as they’re more receptive recently
            Anniversary rewards: All get 0
            War criminals: ZZZ gets 2 for not having any war criminals yet, HSR and Genshin both get 0 (this one isn’t serious
            Tally:
            HSR- 4
            Genshin- 3
            ZZZ- 4
            best gacha award goes to… Punishing Gray Raven, special reward -50 pulls
            This isn’t exactly an in-depth review of them I know, but as a general idea I’m just saying HSR is NOT universally better than the other Hoyoverse games, it’s my personal favorite yes but
            Don’t take the actual content too seriously

          • Not really concerned about other hoyoverse games. By war criminal I mean Scaramouche, namely. Scaramouche isn’t just a war criminal, he was highlighted by the dev team, freed from judgement at zero price and shown no evidence of redemption, and was easily hired by the university which is the dream of millions of desert dwellers. Think about it if Hitler never truly paid price for his deeds but the dev team of the world decided everyone must forget about his deeds and he must be hired by tzing hua university and he must be called a true hero with an exalted and benevolent soul. Where else in this world do you find such a character in a video game?

          • Okay first of all, the writing team would’ve decided that
            1nd of all, please learn how to separate fiction from real life, Scaramouche lives in a fantasy world and despite his crimes is written to be a sympathetic character
            And he’s only ever called a hero in a summer event, in a world that is even more fictional. He is not actually a hero for his deeds, he takes that role because he can sympathise for Durin.

Like, welt is the same welt as the one from HI3, he came onto the Astral express becausde himeko from another universe was on it too, acheron is literally the raiden mei from this universe with even the same name, luocha has the exact same design as Otto from HI3 and is confirmed as such by Welt. But yeah, far enough designs sure lol

        • Such as they secretly reduced the drop rate of a gatcha banner leading to the actual drop rate lower than the drop rate it used to be, and it was soon noticed by CN whales of the time. This even lead to the CN government starts to enforce a law regarding gatcha system of video games, that the drop rate must be clearly displayed in game and the actual drop rate can’t be any lower than the displayed drop rate. This is even further upgraded some time later that the game must display how many pulls do you need until the next rare item.

        • Also, they included a major update of the game, there is one difference, that everything you had cannot be carried over to the new world. Imagine some time the HSR dev team released a major update called HSR: part II, and every character and light cone in your account cannot be used in the part II and there will be no more updates for the regular HSR.

  2. The 5-star Ting Yun is rumored to be a Fire Nihility super break support.

    Which future do you see?
    1. Replaces the HTB in Firefly’s team;
    2. Replaces RM in Firefly’s team;
    3. Replaces the sustainer in Firefly’s team;
    4. Not designed for Firefly or not even a break support in the first place.

    Reasons why the HTB should leave the comp first:
    • Hoyo isn’t so generous to offer you a team’s central piece for free;
    • The next playable path of the Trialblazer might also be a team’s central piece;
    • I don’t feel safe to like the MC because I’m traumatized by what I have suffered from when I so did in Genshin Impact;
    • I don’t like it I have to play with a f2p unit my team looks so cheap and non-premium it doesn’t match my lineage of pure blue blood;
    • If anyone in the team has to be replaced, I don’t hope it to be RM because she costs me more than 300 pulls.

    Reasons why RM should leave the comp first:
    • Firefly loses more damage when HTB leaves the comp vs. when RM leaves the comp, plus the HTB is totally concentrated towards breaking while RM is not, meaning RM is less likely to be the final member of the comp, at least less likely than the HTB, if RM was replaced by someone fully concentrated towards breaking the comp should have been stronger and look as hamonious as a mathematical formula;
    • I don’t like RM’s personality and don’t want her in my roster;
    • If anyone in the team has to be replaced, I don’t hope it to be the HTB because it is a feature to see the HTB and Firefly team together forever.

    Hey, if you ever played Firefly, or at least watched a showcase, you notice that the comp has high sustainability due to the nature of the break playstyle, right? The enemies are swiftly broken and delayed, delayed, and delayed again, and not able to stand a proper threat, the comp effectively rejects most interactions with the enemies’ kits and isn’t really worried about sustaining even when the comp has no sustainer, leading to the sustainers in the comp are in fact break supports who deals toughness damage before the enemies are broken frontloading Firefly’s super break damage. Any additional break support will first kick the sustainer out of the board and needlessly strengthens the comp’s supremacy in MoC and AS.

    • I vote 4, because case 1 and 2 both leads to case 3, and case 3 is very unlikely to happen because Hoyo don’t buff an already dominant comp by making it double plus dominant.

    • Perhaps my long awaited DOT-Break finally come??

      While JQ can also function as DOT support at high eidolon I don’t think they will just discard a focused/dedicated design over a somewhat generalist character.

      • There are 2 Nihility light cones for DoT units that give high amount of break effect but no known DoT units make use of it. If 5-star Ting Yun is just the break DoT hybrid then it really makes sense.

      And probably she’d replace RM or the sustains depending on how you feel, if she’s nihility I hope she gets some def shred since Firefly already gets a bit of that

    • I hope Tingyun isn’t a break character because I fucking HATE break gameplay and I’m sick of it and Firefly. I only pulled Boothill because I like him, I hate his play style. I’ve been waiting for Tingyun since forever and I would hate for her to be a stupid fucking break character 😊

      • Ting Yun uses Solitary healing, Iron Cavalry set 4pc, and Kalpagni set 2pc in the pre-beta. Seems she has to have something with breaking, either break support, break DPS, or the first in history break DoT.

    • Leak i saw was case 1 which makes sense for hoyo not giving you a forever in the break meta for free

      4 is possible for rappa and boothill (or even firefly too) where something like granting the enemy the new purple toughness bar is possible since it got introduced in this patch

  3. now it’s officially confirmed that action advance is the absolute best stat on a lc and all lcs without it wil be pretty much inferior if not straitghup useless, will you still pull for a unit without a lc that has aa or would you consider ever pulling for a rerun unit without actionadvance whatsoever, did the power creep killed all units prior to rappa, pros and bros of honeyhunter pls give me advices 🙂

  4. caved in and decided to all in my ticket on Robin, after looking through 2.5 and 2.6 banner rerun schedule.

    she allows me to play my Fav Otto, i mean Luocha as a DPS.

    everything is EZ skip untill Sunday drop.. or Aventurine rerun.
