ah rip i just returned to this game and yet im confused whether pulling for cipher or the dahlia(since i have ff but no fugue nor hmc since im using rmc) or just wait until 4.0
my priority was to get anaxa but i think it would take longer to rerun and I’m currently lacking 2nd team for end game contents
if the only break character i have is e0s1 boothill and i really like him would i be better off pulling for fugue or constance? i wouldnt be able to afford lc in either situation unless i got very lucky, and my only other support for him is e1s1 ruan mei
dahlia is a crazy break effect powerhouse support that’s supposed to bring the now obsolete archetype back into the game so she’s gonna boost your boothill way more than fugue can, that being said, both fugue and now dahlia are fire element just like firefly, boothill even before was lagging behind firefly in most cases and with 2 supports dedicated to her he’s gonna feel even more of a downgrade compared to her, but i think dahlia will give a very good boost to boothill either way
Its the other way around, Boothill was pulling ahead of Firefly in all content except PF, she only kept up with him if E2.
With that said, Dahlia is a major upgrade for Boothill but depends on your investment level and match up-content he’s facing. Better than Fugue for all content but not a replacement by all means, she replaces Ruan Mei instead.
She enables Boothill to run with sustain which is good, but I wonder if the boost is high enough to leave Sunday out. Really depends on how favourable the match up is.
if i have no break characters at all on my account except lingsha and ruan mei, and they rerun the break cast again (ff, rappa, boothill, fugue), who should i wish for? ff and dahlia? i’ve heard fugue isn’t worth it
My current break team is: Firefly(E2S1) + Lingsha(E2S1) + Ruan Mei (E1S1) + HMC(E6)
Who should I replace with Dahlia? Is it an issue that I have no Fugue? I’d like to keep Lingsha in the team, but I’m concerned there might be anti-synergy with Dahlia.
You replace RM there. it’s not really close. Dahlia just does her job better (for break teams).
And I don’t see any antisynergy with Lingsha. Dahlia is even intended to have a sustain on her team, note the very large teamwide break effect buff that only activates when someone heals or shields her.
Ruan Mei would be replaceable if you insisted on keeping Lingsha. Firefly desperately needs that Super Break buff, and without Fugue, HCM is the only option you have atm. Dahlia allows Super Break to occur without having to break enemies first, which means Ruan Mei is no longer necessary. Ideally, you should run sustainless and use ruan Mei with Dahlia, though.
My sb team is pretty invested with ff e2, fugue e0, lingsha e0 and rm e1. I can buy e2 rm with the new shop thing so I really wonder how better e0 dahlia is in comparison.
Right now I’m calculating like this:
1. 30 pity plus guarantee, with 60 pulls rn = 10 pulls after getting dahlia when v3.8 starts
2. v3.8 +80 pulls, v4.0 +80 pull = 170 pulls before end of v4.0, if sp sparkle is second half she is guarantee
3. v4.1 +80 pulls, v4.2 +80 pull = 170 pulls before end of v4.2, if yae Sakura is first half I might have 130 pulls with chance to miss her
4. no of pulls are assumed, i am using ldshop as reference for patch banners
5. assumed 5* at 80 pity
6. only sp sparkle and yae are priority but I still need a working team for them
Problems:
1. no leeway to get regular sparkle if she reruns before v4.2
2. if Yao Guang/pearl is necessary for sp sparkle
3. sp sparkle and yae might need separate teams
So am I missing something in my assumption or is this plan feasible enough to get dahlia or do yall have any other suggestion. Then again these are based on leaks that are subject to change.
hi, have a question.
in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9XajnQAx0E @19:53
it says that E4 to E6 is literly the same from E0 to E2 in damage per action value, but how is this possible?
i mean her E6 gives “”just” 150% break effekt” and action advance.
if my ff already have like 440 BE from my old team without dahlia, will this 150 extra break effect make the difference?
or is it more like a big DPAV increase because from the “dance partner action advance effect” and the E5 increasing her lvls?
few questions about her kit
1. is skills super break also triggered on exo toughness
2. do you build her with err or be
3. how fast does she ult and how much speed does she needs ( my relic rolls are horrible )
should I try and get her? consider these
1. i am f2p and will not pull lc
2. i use [ ff, rm, lingsha, fugue ] [ cas, evernight, cyrene, luocha ] [ phai, Sunday, dhpt, x ] where x is either rm, rmc, cyrene or bronya based on availability
3. i like her design but am willing to compromise
4. i am looking forward to the 4.x char especially sp sparkle and yae sakura
5. I don’t have regular sparkle
6. currently at 30 pity with guarantee with around 50 pull right now
1. No, since exo toughness only happens after the enemy is initially broken
2. Very likely BE since she scales off of it, ult debuff duration is LONG, and her damage will probably be more from her talent. I’d just hold onto both until she’s finalized.
3. Really depends on math/simulations, and subject to change, but her talent hits only once per turn (like hunt March 7th), so normally I’d say at least in the ballpark of her carry, but her carry is Firefly, the speed queen. At base 96 speed, it’s hard to say where that speed breakpoint will end up.
>Should I try and get her?
First off, obviously wait until we get more info on 4.0, we have almost nothing concrete besides elation being a path (whatever that means mechanically), and Sparkle SP + Yao Guang for 4.0.
Secondly, based on the obvious baked in buffs for Firefly, Constance is obviously a buff for firefly to make her relevant again, like Hysilens for Kafka. There’s no guarantee that 4.X will cater to break at all so treat the situation based on how you feel about pulling Fugue currently. That being said, you will have the GOAT team for Firefly if you do pull (and that’s incredibly unlikely to change anytime soon).
Superbreak does happen during or on the exo break. Always has, but now it will happen even on the first break too. (Doing both super break damage and break damage in the same damage instance.) That’s why the exo break always did a boat load more damage than the initial break. Due to the initial break not applying the superbreak damage. But now it will happen on both break instances increasing damage further and actually making RM a bad match up for the Dalia and Fugue combo since she keeps enemies broken for much longer thus delaying any other breaks from happening.
The thing about The Dalia, she does not only increase Firefly’s damage by a solid 3x+ more than RM does. But she also fix’s not one, not two but THREE main issues that the SB team has. The first is well, no damage until the enemy is broken. The second is Firefly’s downtime, before you never wanted to leave ult as you always needed 2 skills to get back into it and thus you lost a LOT of damage. Now however you’ll ult again after the first skill allowing you to get off another enhanced skill right away doing another load of damage before the cycle is over. The last thing she fix’s is the weakness implant issue. Depending on Firefly to do it alone especially when she can only do it to one enemy at a time was always a major headache especially when Firefly would kill the boss p1 only for the 2nd part to come up and get rid of said weakness implant and then you had to wait for the next Firefly turn to implant again wasting lots of your allies turns doing 0 damage and 0 weakness break damage. That’s why the teams fallen off the way it has. Even if all she did is fix the weakness without increasing damage per hit she would already be a great character.
Imo if you’ve already invested heavily into the premium Firefly team, going for a simple E0/S0 here to revive that team is a very worthwhile pull. Why say no to 1 cost to revive a team that cost 4+. Imo it’s a bigger waste to let the team rot and let the old investment die out.
I wasn’t saying that superbreak doesn’t happen during exo toughness, I was saying her SKILL doesn’t work – remember, her skill doesn’t give superbreak, it just allows it on enemies that aren’t broken.
Hmm fair enough. Should point that out though perhaps.
I have a question about this :
“When an ally target adds Weakness to an enemy target, increases SPD by 30% for 2 turn(s)”
does she increase her own speed by 30% or the ally ?
The one who implants the weakness.
thanks it helps 👍
for 1 I was a bit focused on the wording of the skill that said toughness reduction is converted to sb so I wondered if reducing exo toughness was also considered.
for the later half I’m crying in broke since leaks stated sp sparkle as main 4.x character and don’t have anyone who can support her
Based on your considerations, I’d say you’d definitely benefit from getting her, but not getting her lightcone will make her a nightmare to build since it gives such a huge BE boost, and severely limit your LC options. It’s possible, but you’re looking at needing some godly relics. She wants as much BE as possible since she increases everyone’s BE based on that, and she’s fortunately a lot like other break units in that she primarily just wants BE and speed, but that comes with the consideration that you need her relics rolling JUST into those substats. That said, considering you have Firefly and Fugue, you probably have decent pieces laying around for her already.
the way mihoyo buff break dps
*kil/ a genius society member for daughter of relic set✓
*dahlia kit are 100%about make firefly simp happy, but is that worth it? after firefly recieve jingyuan slander/harrasment for a whole 10patch?
*Break meta=firefly? is that how mihoyo see break meta? while other is npc?
*Break meta will surely be ded , if they made half of dahlia kit still racist toward break dps other than FIREFLY.
RM and Fugu don’t really play together that well because delaying enemy action means you delay the refresh of 2 break bars, so making a RM replacement benefits that playstyle.
RM works better with HMC who is fully focused on superbreak buff, so delaying enemy action means more opportunities to push in superbreak. In essence, getting Dhalia lets you run FF team on one side, and RM, HMC as a second team core for Boothil/Rappa, which is totally a “buff” for players going all in on Break. RM and HMC are also welfare units.
It’s a character for a game in which the entire endgame requires more than one team built. She makes a lot of sense there.
it’s actually very simple. Dahlia is Firefly dedicated support, meanwhile Fugue is Rappa/Boothill support. Ruan Mei is the only break general support that can fit both teams.
