Character Story: Part I | "In the ancient legends of the coastal city-states, the Sea of Souls is said to have birthed beings as mighty as gods. Fishermen speak of a king of the seas who appears among the waves as a young child, with a fierce countenance and bluish lips, bathing in the bone-chilling waters of the Sea of Souls, wrestling with its savage beasts, thirsting for blood, and devouring flesh and bone. It is said that each time they sink to the seabed, they soon resurrect from the Sea of Souls. Over approximately nine years, they reforged themselves no less than ten thousand times, ultimately tearing apart a giant monster, staining the sea red for miles, yet no flesh-eating sea creature dared approach. Legends speak of how that the king of the seas could sweep countless fish and shrimp onto the shore with a flick of the tail. Once, shipwrecked fishermen praying for salvation were rescued by the king alongside his crew. As the tales grew more fantastical over time, fishermen started painting the king on their boats, in the hope it will grant them safe voyages. Rumors have emerged claiming that this so-called king of the seas is the vengeful spirit of the crown prince Mydeimos. Terrified by the prophecy he carried, his father, the former king, cast him into the Sea of Souls at birth. His life cut short, the child died with his grievances unredressed, vowing to scour the Sea of Souls. However, the writer believes this is merely the cunning Kremnoans trying to glorify themselves, for three reasons: First, though the Kremnoans traditionally engage in father-son struggles where the victor becomes king, why would they throw a newborn crown prince into the sea? Second, even if King Eurypon of Kremnos, grown old and senile, believed the prophecy and sacrificed his heir to the sea, how could an infant possess the divine strength to battle giant monsters? Third, even if such a child existed, he could hardly be Kremnoan. Why would a Kremnoan, known for their selfish and brutal nature as they are, assist fishermen struck by disaster? Dear readers, I will now reveal the truth: the so-called king of the seas — Naturally, he is the embodiment of the ocean itself!" archived in the Garbaniphoro Library collection "Strong." * Unlocked at Character Level |
Character Story: Part II | "The lone army emits a strong scent of blood, like a blood-stained spear. The leading warrior, the speartip, is always enveloped in unfathomable rage and hatred, thrusting towards the enemy. From Ladon, through Aidonia, to Aenionus, he returned from death time and again, leaving towering infernos of war in his wake. In the infamous Battle of Aenionus, the undefeated Klytius raised his massive axe as thousands of arrows darkened the sky behind him. Yet, when the smoke cleared and fire rose from the blood-soaked ground, the warrior's fist struck like a spear, tearing open Klytius's throat. After that epic battle, the true identity of the warrior became yet more elusive. That army clearly bore the marks of Kremnoan training but had never flown Kremnos's flag. None know whether they are Kremnoan spirits wandering on the battlefield or lost souls who have long been away from their homeland. Wandering bards turned the lone army's journey into mournful songs, while in the rust-flavored winds of Amphoreus, the lone lion led a group of old and weak soldiers as they wandered, searching for a nonexistent homeland. Reality will never alter its face due to cruelty. The once-elite citizens of Kremnos who followed him were loyal but mortal, lacking his god-like immortality. As time wore on, and even the gods of Kremnos succumbed to madness, how could humanity hope to know whither they should go? Will that proud, lonely man carry the weight of his people's fate alone? Will he bind himself to the chains of kingship? Or was it all just his wishful thinking..." archived in the Garbaniphoro Library collection "Hephaestion, Perdikkas, Leonnius, Ptolemy, Peucesta... your names will not be forgotten by history." * Unlocked at Character Level |
Character Story: Part III | "Mydeimos! You treacherous ingrate, you coward who has forsaken the spirit of Kremnos! You slew the former king and had your vengeance, yet you shirked the duty of restoring the dynasty. Was your honor swallowed whole by the beasts of the Sea of Souls? You roam among those who chase flames, swayed by the wild tales of a witch, fraternizing with low-born soldiers. You choose to pin your hopes on elusive oracles rather than trust in your strength! The Kremnoans yearn to return to their war-torn homeland, yet you urge us to settle in the city-state of our sworn enemies. Have you grown enamored with the opulence of Okhema, or are you already bewitched by the mists rising from its golden baths? Mydeimos! You, with your noble and immortal essence, how can you submit to that woman of Okhema? You are a predator, a messenger of Strife — have you lost sight of the difference between predator and prey? Rumors swirl that you saved outlanders from Nikador's kin alongside the one claiming the mantle of Chrysos Heirs. In that endless long night, you let your body shatter, drenched in blood and madness. Mydeimos! Your noble blood should not be wasted on such unworthy individuals! You should be rallying your armies and plundering resources to carve out a path for Kremnos's survival in these apocalyptic times! That supposed Flame-Chase Journey has distorted you beyond recognition, my king! A king requires no equals, no allies, no doubts, no rescue — if any semblance of your clear mind lingers, command us! Let Kremnos's glory eclipse all other city-states!" stored in the Garbaniphoro Library collection "Keep moving." * Unlocked at Character Level |
Character Story: Part IV | "The holy city of Okhema remains one of the last pure lands untouched by the black tide. Yet, the encirclement of the black tide around it has become unmistakably clear. For a thousand years, wherever the black tide has swept, life has been twisted into inhuman monstrosities, and city-states have been eroded by the wind into desolate ruins. Even a stronghold like Kremnos saw its gods tainted by the black tide, leaving nothing but wastelands in its wake. Most of the Coreflames had been restored, yet as the black tide approached, we found ourselves desperately short on time. All we have achieved will have been in vain should Okhema fall before the Era Nova. The author boldly speculated that, soon, the heroes chasing the flame would inevitably face a decisive battle against the black tide. Historical records showed that even the most valiant warriors could not endure long within the black tide. Among the Chrysos Heir heroes, if there was any hope for this battle, it would either rest upon the fearless Phainon or fall to Mydeimos. This wasn't merely because Mydeimos hailed as the bravest in this world, carried a destiny that defied death, nor was it solely because the old city of Kremnos occupied a strategic choke point against the black tide. Even though Mydeimos, like the lion of Kremnos, had migrated countless times in his life and ultimately settled far from his birthplace, the solitary king would never submit to foreign rule. Once he had settled his people, Mydeimos, who regarded his mission as his very essence, would undoubtedly return home. Yet, this time, he bore not only the hopes of the Kremnoans but also the future of the entire world. Talanton's priests once prophesied that the millennium of Strife that started in Kremnos would also find its end there. Perhaps, one day, that eternal figure will face the black tide — suspended between life and death. Imagine such a scene, such a profound tragedy..." archived in the Garbaniphoro Library collection "As with the Sea of Souls, as it has always been." * Unlocked at Character Level |

Oh would you look at that.. hungryverse creating a problem and selling the solution with eidolon. Not sure why there are still people defending the biggest flaw this b*#@& have and not want the best for him.
And what’s this biggest flaw exactly?
probably the auto attacking
It’s a secret :3
The automatic skill use he has? What else could it be? Loads of people are about it. It would be fine if it’s an aoe instead of blast, at least his automatic skill use will not be a problem for many, and greedyverse is clearly aware of this if they put something on his eidolon to fix it.
That’s fair actually. Tbh while I understand thematically for berserkers it makes sense, it can get iffy outside single target. But at the same time perhaps they give him a priority system or something for his attacks.
Thing is, you can still invoke the concept of the berserker without stripping the player’s ability to actually play as the character.
Major buffs in V3 and a new animation for Kingslayer be King
Now I get all the simps that pull for characters even if they’re mid. idc about the damage, I just want Mydei to blow my back out so badly. on his throne preferably
Welcome to the club. It’s slippery when wet.
oh it’s wet alright
Dunno if this was asked or not but:
Vendetta gives him 50% of Max HP as bonus HP. Does this HP increase count towards his crit rate trace?
I’m asking because I’m tired of chasing HP subs and I’m already using HP boots xD
No, the Trace checks his max hp “When battle starts”, so you need 8k hp outside combat to max it
Okay thanks! I guess I need 8.5K (for the LC passive).
I’m already at 7720 and some pieces lack HP subs so hopefully it works
A character that wants his HP drained… Could Jingliu be a good ally for him?
No, the hp consumption of Jingliu is not that worth over running a support to amplify Mydei’s mediocre damage.
Hello, I was bored so i did the calculations for ideal Midey build, or at least a consistent one.
The build has Sunday S1 (it is kinda mandatory, otherwise sizeable dmg decrease), Longevous and the new planar, Bone Collection’s Serene Demesne relics sets, plus his own signature LC S1 to reach his stats, i have variantion for The free LC Ninja Record: Sound Hunt S5 is also considered.
At lvl 80 with his sig lighcone at lvl80 too, he has 2938hp as a base.
Adding percentages from:
sigLC (18)
passive traces (18),
relic set (24)
main stat from body, feet, and rope (3*43.2 = 129,6)
We get a total of a grand 189,6% bonus HP increase, which would get us to base * (100+bonushp%) = 2938*(289,6%)=8508,44hp!!!
This means that we can run the bonus dmg orb no problem!
But lets see how better are alternatives
Lets assume you only aim for speed and crit dmg substats from here. And yes, no crit rate, because:
When running with sunday (almost mandatory) h gets 20% crit rate
He has 5% base plus 48% from talent at 8kHP
From Longevous he gets another 16%
In total he has
On average, you get 4 aimed rolls per piece (including base roll of substat existing), meaning 24 rolls across all relics, all HP% or CritDMG%
How do we distribute these rolls?
Since he has no speed, lets give 14 of the rolls to speed. An average speed substat has 2,5SPD, so thatd add up to 27SPD, nice!
Is it realistic? Kinda, we have 6 relics, so thatd mean 2,3 rolls for each piece. Remember having the substat alone (while not increasing by upgrades) is counted as 1 roll in the calculations!
That´d leave us with 10 rolls for CritDMG%, an average roll has 5,8CritDMG%, so this would give us 58CritDMG%
Add in sunday with his relics and burst, thats on average 75CritDMG% from ult and 36critDMG% from sundays relics, PLUS 25CritDMG% from mideys planar set and 37,3CritDMG% from traces, that adds another 174.3CritDMG%
So with these stats in mind, our midey would have:
8508HP
89%CritRATE
281%CritDMG
173,88% Imaginary bonus (orb plus sundayS1 is 38,88+30+45, signature adds even more, another 60%)
127SPD (substats 27, traces 5, base 95)
But now the difficult part, could we raplace HP%Body/HP%Feet for CritDMG% body/SPD feet? or maybe even the orb so we can have body and feet not hp?
First, we must know that we still need at least 8k HP, If we take our 8508 and decrease it by base*(43,2) we get 8508-(2938*0,432)=7238,8HP
So we will have to conpensate in substats, how much though?
We are missing 761,2HP, we get the HP% neded by some fancy formula and get 25,9HP%.
Average subtat roll has 3,9HP%, so 25,9/3,9=6,64, AKA we need 7 HP% rolls, or do we?
My tired self forgot that the head piece adds 708HP atop all the bonuses, so in reality youd just need 2 HP% rolls to reach the 8000HP treshold. So that makes things easier for sure.
But now a harder question, CritDMG% body or Speed feet? Or both and ditch the orb (if you have sundayS1)
Extra value is measurd by amount if difference. We will use our previous stats as base.
How much extra value would removal of 38,88Imaginary dmg% bring?
Our base is 173,88% and without orb its 135%, meaning rougly 22% overall dmg downfall. If youre running the free LC Ninja Record: Sound Hunt S5, the decrease raises to 33% overall dmg decrease, yikes. but it compensates a liitle with extra hp and critdmg%
How much extra value would 64.8CritDMG% bring?
with the base 281%, another 64,8% would bring approximately 21% overall dmg bonus. Sounds good right? But remember, some supports can do this themselves too, if not better (bronya/sparkle/RemembranceMC can work somewhat), but that depends on your team build. If youre running the free LC Ninja Record: Sound Hunt S5, the increase drops to 15%
How much extra value would 25SPD bring?
Speed works different, and were using sunday.
Speed work on tresholds, and assuming we get our SPD subtats, wed be at 147SPD
The 146 spd treshold means 2 turns in the 1st, 3rd, and 5th cycle (3 bonus turns within 5 cycles).
Without it, on 125SPD, you only get one bonus cycle in 5 cycles.
Furthermore, if your sunday has 146 speed in battle, The speed feet gain SO MUCH VALUE as you hit WAYYY more often.
But theres this part of mideys kit that advances his action after filling up his talent meter, another unique thing to him, so assuming you get this action advance every turn, the speed feet loose value as the action advance does it for you instead. So its a real puzzle only The Herta can solve i guess.
So overall? Imaginary orb and Crit dmg body, all else HP%, with (at least reccomended):
2 HP% substat rolls MANDATORY on S1. The free LC Ninja Record: Sound Hunt S5 covers this completely, no need for substat rolls. However i dont advise to having too much HP. Why?
More HP means bigger dmg yes, but also bigger blood pool for his talent. This means he will have to take more dmg to trigger his talent, which can sometimes be a problem. Having less HP means hitting the max blood pool sooner, aka more consistent action advance, but with HP and DMG inflation in bosses, it might not matter since the HP will be neccesary just to live. But hitting the max blood pool means he will have more often action advance, ultimate skill, plus maybe even higher chances of survival, since he will advance his action before taking too much dmg (between 12k and 15k is a 5,4k dmg gap to trigger the talent, which is quite a lot and you might not hit it between turns to get emergency heals from huohuo or luocha when midey takes turn)
10 CritDmg% substats rolls (most value out of the three and again, simply havinf the substat on relic at lvl0 is already 1 to the count)
10 SPD substats rolls. The speed may vary since I cant calculate how much he needs to be consistent with his talent 50% action advance, but some speed never hurts.
CritRATE%, effectRES, effectHitRate%, ATK%, ER%, DEF% are are useless since he doesnt utilise them or has them basically maxed already, so dont focus on those.
Keep in mind we have Sunday S1, Longevous and the new planar, Bone Collection’s Serene Demesne relics sets, plus his own signature LC S1 to reach his stats
Why cant i see any eidolons, minor traces or major traces?
Stable hash issue, lemme check it.
V2 changes::
Biggest buff in HSR history, holy shit
This is normal though. The real change will be on v3.
Tbh I like his character and design, and he seems to be outputting some decent numbers and the unique death defying mechanic is interesting. Plus I am mostly getting him so that Blade’s LC has some actual use instead of collecting dust on Blade.
194.04 def
It doesn’t matter he’s locked at exactly 0 def in combat, he’s still tankier than a 3000 HP character
Sure, but he has increased aggro too.
1000 def halves incoming dmg (give or take depending on enemy level)
So Mydei takes twice as much dmg but has about 4x the HP on average, meaning his actual tankiness is about twice that of a 3,000 HP character, assuming you keep him well-healed
Of course 0 def also discourages using a shielder since it turns them into paper, and it lets them sell a better healer for Mydei later
