Fu Xuan is worse. The more HP he loss the more charge he get. His best team will be with healer
Mydei wants healing, even if FX heals, it’s too little to maintain Mydei. You’re much better off using Bailu than FX and even then, Bailu is a low bar.
Yeah she’s not. Fu Xuan is one of the worst sustains for him, just like any other preservation character as all of them reduce the amount of damage he takes (either because of a shield or other sort of damage reduction)
You strictly need a healer for him, preferably Luocha or Huohuo.

Even worse than Blade, Mydei’s pool is based on the amount of dmg he takes and Fu Xuan eats 65% of that
Since he’s in a controversial state here’s the pros and cons of Mydei and whether you should pull him
Pros:
-He’s tanky, and he gives the rest of your team better survivability by drawing aggro
-He’s totally immune to crowd control 99% of the time
-His best non 5* LC options are completely free
-He doesn’t consume SP so can run more SP intensive teammates
-He’s hot
Cons:
-As of V1 he isn’t outputting as much dmg as other top DPSes
-He has very little synergy with current supports, which contributes to the first con
-He can’t be controlled when enhanced so his performance is a gamble
-He absolutely needs a potent healer
-He’s part of an already saturated element
Should you pull him?
If you absolutely love a character then the answer is always yes.
If you’re more concerned about his performance then I suggest you first wait for further beta updates, and possibly wait for his rerun to see if any very synergistic supports release for him.
Also keep in mind that the 3.2 characters (most likely Anaxa and Castorice) will be in beta during Mydei’s banner that may affect your decision.
Have they been leaked or is it still speculation at this point? I kinda wish to know if 3.2 includes Phainon or not. As if it does, I can’t get Aglaea. But if it doesn’t, then Aglaea comes home 😀
Mydei, Phainon, Aglaea. The only 3 I really want from Amphoreus tbh. I would like to have all 3 on release but will prioritize husbandos if needed
There was a character roadmap leaked a while back that said 3.1 was Tribbie/Mydei and 3.2 was Castorice/Anaxa
It turned out correct for 3.1 but there’s no guarantee on 3.2
My personal speculation is Phainon will be either 3.3 or 3.4, since the story structure is different in Amphoreus it’s hard to be sure
3.2 drip marketing should be out during Aglaea’s banner so you can decide based on that

Would Ruan Mei work? I feel like her WBE and Extended break state is kinda anti-synergistic but maybe her buffs make up for it?
Other option would be Robin, but the massive flat attack is kinda wasted on him I feel.
Finally I do have E0S1 Jiaoqui. That could work right?
Tribbie is currently one of his strongest supports despite not really having great synergy
Otherwise Sunday and RTB are about it, he doesn’t have good synergy with any current supports
I refuse her. But fair enough. If all current supports suck for him, then I’ll go with Jiaoqui to have a full husbando team.

As much as I enjoy his playstyle so far, I fear that the forced auto battle aspect will do more harm than good. I know that I’m far from the first person to bring this up, but the AI for auto battle just plain sucks. I understand that the concept is that of a frenzied berserker, but there are ways to still invoke that concept without stripping away the player’s ability to actually PLAY as Mydei. I agree with the alternative that Godslayer Be God function more like a follow-up attack.
There are lots of ways to get the auto-battle feel without being a hard force. Eg, they could add a “Mydei’s Ire” mechanic whereby each turn an enemy is chosen at random to become the focus of Mydei, prioritising enemies with high max HP, and if you select that enemy as his target, you get the higher damage multiplier.
If these toughness break numbers are accurate they’re INSANE. His standard multipliers are really low but his toughness bar reduction is crazy. For reference, Firefly’s enhanced skill does 30 main target + 15 blast, whereas his numbers are double. I’m curious as to why this is the case? Guess we’ll just have to see with his ascension passives.
