  1. Is Yanqings LC good for her? I wanna play her with topaz and she already uses the LC from the herta shop. I could buy Yanqings LC from the shop and I think its pretty nice for her right? + 30% crit dmg and + 36% crit rate every now and then for 1 turn is also pretty nice although its a bit random. And the main stats are higher compared to 4 star LC

  2. Swords march build guide

    Tips:
    1. Swords march wants crit rate. She gains 24 crit damage from minor traces, 50 crit damage from E6, meaning she must lean more towards crit rate in the crit value distribution.
    2. Swords march wants speed. The faster the speed, the faster she charges her talent and the more SP she generates, and also, the faster she replenishes her E2. Team a high speed swords march with a high speed shifu and she’s expected to cast her enhanced basic attack very often.

    Relics:
The best relic sets are musketeer 4pc and arena 2pc. If the shifu is hunt, then you may also choose the izumo set 2pc.
The main stats are: crit rate body, speed boots, atk% / imaginary damage orb, atk% rope.
Substats priority is: crit rate ≈ speed > crit damage > atk%.

    Light cone:
The best light cone is Seele’s signature. Not only because of the crit rate, but also the fact that swords march wants speed. With 8 rolls on speed she can reach 160 speed in combat.
Other viable choices are Topaz’s signature and S5 CITSS.
Yanqing’s signature is only recommended when you have nothing better, because the crit rate buff on it is unreliable.

    Teammates:
Due to the high frequency of her FUA, the best support for the team is Robin and the best sustainer for the team is Aventurine.
Shifu candidates: Topaz, Gallagher, Clara, Yunli.

    ——–

    Sample build

    Light cone: S5 CITSS.

    Relics: musketeer 4pc, arena 2pc.
Main stats: speed boots, crit rate body, atk% orb, atk% rope.
Substats: 8 on speed, 14 on crit rate, and 8 on crit damage, 30 in total.

    Attack: 1093 * (1 + 0.28 + 0.12 + 0.432 * 2) + 352.7 = 2827.252
    Crit rate: 5 + 32.4 + 16 + 8 + 2.92 * 14 = 102.28
    Crit damage: 50 + 24 + 5.83 * 8 = 120.64
    Crit damage for enhanced basic attack: 50 + 24 + 5.83 * 8 + 50 = 170.64
    Damage amp: 88

The damage calculations below each have 2 outcomes. The second outcome is the damage when the shifu is hunt, erudition, or destruction.

    Basic attack damage: ~6957 / ~8349
    1.1 * 2827.252 * (1 + 1.2064) * (1 + 0.88 + 0.3) * (1000 / (1000 + 1150)) ≈ 6957
    1.32 * 2827.252 * (1 + 1.2064) * (1 + 0.88 + 0.3) * (1000 / (1000 + 1150)) ≈ 8349

    FUA damage: ~3272 / ~4472
    0.6 * 2827.252 * (1 + 1.2064) * (1 + 0.88) * (1000 / (1000 + 1150)) ≈ 3272
    0.82 * 2827.252 * (1 + 1.2064) * (1 + 0.88) * (1000 / (1000 + 1150)) ≈ 4472

Enhanced basic attack damage when hits 8 times: ~54619 / ~68274
    7.04 * 2827.252 * (1 + 1.2064 + 0.5) * (1 + 0.88 + 0.3) * (1000 / (1000 + 1150)) ≈ 54619
    8.8 * 2827.252 * (1 + 1.2064 + 0.5) * (1 + 0.88 + 0.3) * (1000 / (1000 + 1150)) ≈ 68274

When we add E0S1 Robin to the team, who gives 1300 attack, 20 crit damage, and 74 damage amp.

    Basic attack damage: ~14837 / ~8349
    1.1 * 4127.252 * (1 + 1.2064 + 0.2) * (1 + 0.88 + 0.3 + 0.74) * (1000 / (1000 + 1150)) ≈ 14837
    1.32 * 4127.252 * (1 + 1.2064 + 0.2) * (1 + 0.88 + 0.3 + 0.74) * (1000 / (1000 + 1150)) ≈ 17805
Plus ~15k additional damage from Robin.

    FUA damage: ~8016 / ~10955
    0.6 * 4127.252 * (1 + 1.2064 + 0.2 + 0.25) * (1 + 0.88 + 0.74) * (1000 / (1000 + 1150)) ≈ 8016
    0.82 * 4127.252 * (1 + 1.2064 + 0.2 + 0.25) * (1 + 0.88 + 0.74) * (1000 / (1000 + 1150)) ≈ 10955
Plus ~15k additional damage from Robin.

Enhanced basic attack damage when hits 8 times: ~114692 / ~143365
    7.04 * 4127.252 * (1 + 1.2064 + 0.5 + 0.2) * (1 + 0.88 + 0.3 + 0.74) * (1000 / (1000 + 1150)) ≈ 114692
    8.8 * 4127.252 * (1 + 1.2064 + 0.5 + 0.2) * (1 + 0.88 + 0.3 + 0.74) * (1000 / (1000 + 1150)) ≈ 143365

    • I didn’t count the 40% attack boost since it has low up time, meaning the actual damage in practise is higher than the calcs.

Also, I didn’t include the 16% additional crit rate vs. enemies at 50% or fewer HP.

        102 * 1.06 + 25 + 2.3 * 8 = 151.52

The speed in combat when any shifu present is:
        102 * 1.16 + 25 + 2.3 * 8 = 161.72

March has +10% speed when any shifu present in her E1.

  3. I think this is the first time Hoyo has given us a free event exclusive character. Thats pretty cool and hope we get more in the future.

As for march, she seems to be a mix of harmony and hunt. I wonder if she would be good with jade plus herta/another FUA), and they both buff the same person for a huge speed increase and damage buff for that person? Or march buff jade so we chain 3 follow up attackers. But would that be better then having someone like Robin on the team instead?

    • What do you mean by “Free event exclusive character”.

Pretty sure we get 3 eidolons, but she will be a part of a banner normally.

If you mean getting free multiple eidolons, Trailblazer as a whole and Herta fit the bill.
If you mean a character that also exists on banners, most 4*s got a free copy giveaway at some point, where you got to select which one you want.
If you mean getting a banner character for free, Dr. Ratio was given away
If you mean just the fact of getting free character outside of the banner, we got Dang Feng and original Match for free, alongside some others being given via events.

      • Apparently we get her free during the 2.4 story, which makes sense considering this is March after doing wardance sword training for the 2.4 arc. If she was on a banner then free eidolons would be weird since they’d be useless without pulling her unless the first eidolon is just a free copy of her for anyone who didn’t pull

herta is free event character but not exclusive bc u can gacha her
trailblazer is free exclusive character but not event bc its actually main story
most 4* again not exclusive just for one free copy
        dr ratio again not exclusive
and dan heng n march r neither exclusive nor event

    • Similar but they have different preferences in who they work well with. Jade wants someone who hits a lot of enemies but doesn’t necessarily need that someone to attack a lot, so she prefers someone with AoE/blast over someone fast. March doesn’t care how many get hit by Master’s attack, just that there’s a lot of attacks; meaning that she prefers speed over AoE/blast.

      • jade definitely wants someone who attacks a lot balanced with aoe, they r pretty alike

s1 that hits 5 targets give less stacks than s1 that hits 3 targets twice, and even less if there are less than 5 targets in the field
