Character Details | An optimistic and carefree fighter with a mechanical arm. Skilled in mixed martial arts and is a Wildfire member. From the fight cage to the battlefield, and from a fighter to a warrior, Luka uses his strength to protect the people of the Underworld. He wishes to bring hope to others precisely because he had experienced despair himself. |
Character Story: Part I | He lifts the steel hammer over and over. Sparks erupt before his eyes, and the clang of metal against metal mutes the thuds of moving muscles and joints. The boy is not yet tall enough to reach the tools at the top of the steel cabinet, but the power with which he swings the steel hammer can already rival that of the most skilled craftsmen. This shop is his entire life, with his father squatting next to the door and repeatedly cleaning the rusted old shop sign. Sometimes he would lie on his hard bed and imagine his future — but no matter where his mind wandered, his father's figure would always appear in his thoughts at the end. He temporarily puts down his work as footsteps approach. His father stands up, and the older man's stout but bowed figure moves with a hint of groveling flattery. It's those people from Wildfire again. Ever since Moltammerville went under a curfew, they have been frequenting this shop and have increased the number of orders for various weapons. As the boy thinks about this, he happens to stare into the eyes of that regular old customer who acts as the leader of the group. That man's skin is tanned and he stands tall, his sharp gaze immediately softens when he locks eyes with the boy. Then, he nods imperceptibly at the boy. "Welcome, Chief Oleg! How can I help you today?" "Patience, my good sir. I'm just here for a chat today." The man points at Luka. "A chat about your son." * Unlocked at Character Level |
Character Story: Part II | There is fire all around him, and the thick black smoke makes it hard to see. He keeps hearing screams and screeches as the fused scent of machine oil and blood sweeps over his nostrils. Luka tries hard to push down the urge to vomit. The smile that Oleg wore on his face when Luka swung a perfect straight punch for the first time inspired Luka. However, once the boy had experienced the cruelty of the front lines first-hand, he never regained that warm feeling in his heart. Luka would secretly observe his comrades' expressions every time they lined up for action — and the apprehension he saw on those faces would actually soothe his own anxiety. A scream pulls Luka back to reality. He rushes toward where the sound came from and sees a helpless child being backed into a corner by a monster. Instinctively, he leaps out and puts himself between the sharp ax and the child's fragile form. A loud blast sounds from behind him. Luka hugs the panicked boy with one arm and slowly turns his head. The mutated monster had fallen to the ground, seemingly hit in the vitals by a stray bullet. "Th—Thank you... mister..." "Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?" "Mister... your... your arm..." His eyes follow the direction the child is pointing at. The sleeve that should have covered his upper right arm has been reduced to a shred of broken fabric, and blood is pouring out of his severed limb. However, before he faints from the pain, he could once again feel that warmth swelling up in his heart. * Unlocked at Character Level |
Character Story: Part III | Luka is defeated at the final stage during the first championship he takes part in. "Hahaha, how useless! This is the world of survival of the fittest — someone as weak as you shouldn't even show yourself before me!" Luka does not mind the humiliation. His opponent for the final is an infamous thug in town known for his underhanded and cruel tactics. If I have to resort to this kind of tricks and deceit to become the champion — Luka thinks — then I'd rather never get my hands on the golden belt. Luka runs into a few children around the corner from the Fight Club the night after. A short and skinny boy is curled up on the ground, his body covered in wounds while the older children surrounding him laugh in arrogance. "Hahaha, how useless!" The leader of the bullies points at the wounded boy. "This is the world of survival of the fittest — someone as weak as you shouldn't even show yourself before me!" That is when Luka swears he will become the Underworld champion — and he will do it his own way: Fair and square. * Unlocked at Character Level |
Character Story: Part IV | "We'll call it a day here. Come, boy. Take a seat." "...This is all? I was planning to practice a few more sets today!" "Oh, c'mon, stop pushing yourself. Get over here!" "Hahaha. I'm coming. I'm coming!" "Boy, I'm gonna ask you a question, and you need to give me an honest answer." "Oh? What is this heart-to-heart we're having? Go on. Ask away." "Look, when it comes to fighting... Do you actually like fighting?" "Hahaha! Why are you asking this all of a sudden? Of course I do! Why else would I stick with you for so long?" "Don't be smart with me, boy! Answer the question!" "You're really serious about this... Okay. To be completely honest? I don't like it that much." "Mmm... finally got an honest answer out of you. So, if the Underworld no longer needs Wildfire's protection... would you still train yourself as a fighter?" "Mmm, lemme think... I probably will." "Why? You didn't get into fighting because you want the golden belt. Don't think you can hide that from me. If the Underworld really became peaceful one day... would you still have a reason to fight?" "Sir, I remember you saying that there are bad people in every era. Even if all the Fragmentum monsters die off, people would still fight to the death for every little thing." "Hmm... I did say that." "As long as there are still bad people in this world, and as long as there are still good people I need to protect—" Luka stands up, "then I will keep on fighting!" * Unlocked at Character Level |

Is it worth it to give Luka crits at the cost of ATK?
you would want a balanced of both
we thinking good night and sleep well will be his best lc? was also considering in the name of the world but the former would grant a stronger buff against bleeding enemies and also further buff his bleeds
Yep, feels like it
Also We Will Meet Again might be good because it’s the only 4* light cone that has the highest ATK (529 at max level of ascension)
And if you have some more wishes, then you might as well go for Kafka’s 5* signature since it seems insanely good
Yeah if it’s evident that Hoyo wants Luka to be a damage dealer it’s very clear in how much his numbers keep getting buffed! LOL
So yeah I’d say Good Night Sleep Well is a contender for his BiS at S1… That said I think Fermata at S5 is on the same level if not better lol due to the extra Break Effect he’ll get. Now this only really matters against enemies who are weak to Physical attacks but if they are (and I’ll need to test with the new buffs) but I’d think the extra BE is worth it. Luka is a great breaker so he shouldn’t have a problem being the one landing the breaking blow and Bleed Dot from breaking is the best DoT in the game. I also talked about this in another post but it may be possible that Luka can trigger both his and the break dot through his enhanced attack (Based on how it’s written)
But yeah if you have a S2+ Good Night Sleep Well, it’s probably just better to run that lol. I currently only have an S1 though.
im thinking of using the break effect set for him if it can buff his bleeds, but if not its probably much more worth to use the atk ornaments since you want so much on him, and his atl scalings look pretty busted
Break Effect doesnt buff his Bleeds because Break Effect only buffs the bleed from Weakness Break, so really the only thing that can boost his bleed damage is how much HP the enemy has and how much atk you have.
You can go full Break Effect Luka if you want tho, Luka is really good at breaking Toughness and a Weakness Break bleed is a lot stronger than his regular bleed. It just takes a while you will need to use Luka as a sub dps or something like that
Normally if you’re using Luka as a sub dps you’re using him with Kafka and Kafka does want an ATK% Luka rather than a Break Effect Luka
To Piggyback off BE Enjoyer, your idea for Break Effect imo might be one of his better sets if fighting against physical weakness foes!
While yes, Break Effect does not count toward Luka’s *personal* Bleed DoT that he applies through his skill… It *does* count toward the highest possible DoT in the game, the Break Effect Bleed! As mentioned by BE Enjoyer, Luka will be a GREAT breaker as his Skill does 60, his enhanced attack does 60 and his Ultimate does 90 so it’s possible to play around that.
Now I say it’s possible that it’s one of his better sets in a very specific scenario because (and no one has really talked about this yet that I know of) But take a look at a part of his passive talent description: “… After his Enhanced Basic ATK’s “Rising Uppercut” hits a Bleeding enemy target, the Bleed status will immediately deal DMG for 1 time equal to 68/85/88.4% of the original DMG to the target…” This does NOT specify only Luka’s skill DoT… See where I’m going with this? Luka MAY be able to apply skill DoT AND Break Effect DoT and trigger BOTH on his enhanced attack which honestly sounds like ridiculous damage lmao… Couple this with Kafka who can also blow up those DoTs and yeah, life good…
The only problem with this is having to potentially build another set for him which sounds awful lol. But if everything works and you’re fighting against a boss who’s weak to physical attacks then I totally see running both Break Effect Sets (4-piece and 2-piece) that’s 48% from the sets (you probably won’t hit 145 speed needed to get the extra 16% BE from 2-piece set unfortunately) You could even go Break Effect rope if you wanted but to be honest I’d probably still run Atk% especially since he just got buffed AGAIN (lool)
But yeah if against non physical weakness bosses or just a safe overall pick that works in all situations- go Streetwise Boxing set and Space Sealing Station.
Otherwise if you wanna get SPICY and are fighting against physical weakness bosses – go Thief Set and Banditry Set (to rob them of their HP% totals kek)
No matter the set I’d go the same: Body- Atk%, Feet- Spd, Sphere- Physical% Rope- Atk%
Substats aim for any set: Atk%, Spd, Break Effect
One last thing, Fermata (S5 particularly) would do well in both sets but especially great in the breaker set. That’s 80% BE without substats lol!
Guys guys guys
What do you think
Is it better to give Luka 4 pieces of Champion of Streetwise Boxing, or 4 pieces of Musketeer of Wild Wheat, or 2 pieces of each of them? What would make him deal more damage?
Do you think that it’s worth paying attention to his DoT? I mean, it deals damage calculated by the enemy’s max HP and i guess there are no other characters whose DoT deals damage the same way
His DOT does damage based on the enemies max hp, but the cap is based on his atk so, yeah, you want as much atk% as you can get
And 4pc Champion seems to be the best option for his personal damage, and his DOT, so yeah go that
Oh!! You’re totally right about the cap. I almost forgot about that. Which means that 4pc Champion really is the best choice since it can boost his ATK, that he will really need for a good DoT dps as well, up to 25%, right? That makes a lot of sense
What about last two relic slots? I’ve been considering only two: Herta’s Wandering Trek and The IPC’s Trade Route. And also Salsotto’s Terminator Line, but it won’t fit for him well, right? He doesn’t have follow-up attacks. His extra hits from passive do not count as follow-ups, right? It seems that his main source of damage is likely to be extra punches from his passive and then skill/basic attacks. What do you tnink though? The HWT set could give him 24% ATK at best (his base speed is 103 so it might not be hard to find some more speed stats in relics). And the other set that gives effect hit rate is also good since he’s nihility but it’s only 10% and the ATK boost doesn’t seem a lot comparing to even 12% of the first set (well, it also depends on a light cone which could give him even more EHR and therefore increasing his damage output)
You would want the 24% ATK set, yeah
its not too hard to get the required speed because you probably will want speed boots, since you always want to move before the enemies, to apply the DOT as fast as possible and to not get hit instantly when the battle starts
So, basically:
Relic Set: Champion of Streetwise Boxing
Ornament Set: Space Sealing Station
Stats: Body: ATK%, Feet: Speed, Sphere: Physical Damage%, Link Rope: ATK%
thank you! i really enjoy discussing this stuff with people!
hi, just asking whether we should bring physical dmg orb or atk orb, since he needs as much attack as possible?
He was a beast before but they buffed him, and a pretty big buff at that
feelsgoodman, coming from Genshin, I missed strong new 4 stars
Why is he wearing a shirt
Just because.. (:
to keep it PG
If he is not on Kafka banner I will be mad. That would be pure trolling from Hoyo 😡
hes 100% gonna be on kafka’s banner
but ive seen leaks that Sampo is gonna be on Blade’s banner, not Kafka’s, which is equally dumb
While I’m inclined to agree… I think them going hard on the nihility train on her banner would be rather silly. I mean I would love to see Sampo and Luka on the same Kafka banner but that’s COPIUM, that banner would be too good for folks like me. Them splitting Sampo and Luka is just a smart business move- they want to give people who weren’t planning to pull on Blade’s banner to pull. I already own Sampo but I’d be tempted to throw in a few pulls to see if I can get a copy or two for Eidolons, if that ends up being true.
That said, them putting Luka on Kafka banner (if true) is already big, considering this would potentially be the first time we’d see double characters of the same path on the same banner (nihility) which hasn’t been done yet.
Right?
But remember not to spend your savings away for a 4*, folks, as that might get you an unwanted 5*.
I can’t wait for more info about him, he seems really cool
Uma delicia

hmmm
I mean…Not every ginger character has to be fire lol. Hook is fire and looks imaginary – she has blonde/brown colours 😛 It’s all about animations and personality.
