Head
The Swarm that covers the sky turns to dust in a sea of fire. Silvery-white snowflakes drift in deep space, reflecting the pallid light of the star. In this brief moment, the endless sound of buzzing and the commands in the communication channel finally dials down to silence. The Swarm attacking the "empire" has not been eradicated, and the next command to head to battle will ring out again after a brief pause, as it always did. The Iron Cavalry of the "empire" feels the external sensations passed to her via the deep spinal cord signals. She remembers what she felt the last time she was removed from the cockpit. The hot wind had lightly tousled her hair and the humid air soaked the tissue on the back of her neck, with droplets of sweat stuck to her skin. She does not hate that feeling. It is tenfold more lively than the simulated signals. The armor deeply synchronized its sensory organs with that of the pilot. Though this would worsen the pain of entropy loss, the Iron Cavalry has no other choice if they wish to defeat the Swarm. "Rule The fighter only realizes that the external sensory signals have tricked her when she sees the decapitated silver armor — The next command to head to the battlefield will never sound again. What a cruel brief reprieve. |
Hands
Glamoth's Iron Cavalry clenched their wristguards tight, causing the filthy carapaces of the Swarm to crack open, allowing the corrosive fluid from their abdomens to spray freely. When the insectoid fluid touched their Silvery Armor, it vaporized instantly, leaving only stains of filth and blood. The wreckage of armor and insectoid limbs scattered as deep-space debris, while around Glamoth, the "River of Death" flowed silently under the pull of gravity, marking the end of the bloody battle. The leaders of the council discussed the post-war situation, passing judgment on Titania, who had never wielded real power. They deemed her control over the Iron Cavalry, whose power rivaled that of the vermin, as the greatest threat to the Republic's survival... People rang the bells of peace, declaring to the populace that the Swarm would disperse, and the azure sky would return to the hands of the Republic. "If we do not restrain the 'Empress,' who else can control these weapons?" The Iron Cavalry honed their iron fists' strength in their brief lives. But never did they imagine that those pale, feeble hands in the council, raised high, possessed the power to change Glamoth's fate. |
Body
Several arcs of intense fire streaked across the night sky, surpassing the horizon where dawn rose, heading toward different sectors of Glamoth — a routine that the residents of the Republic were most familiar with and also feared the most. Silver-tinged armors soared through the skies, racing against time to reach the devastated battlefields, too preoccupied to contemplate the scenes they tirelessly guarded day and night. The Empress's orders brooked no argument. Identical-looking warriors with were birthed from the incubators, swearing allegiance to the Empress to reclaim Glamoth's skies. The Iron Cavalry traversed through the mountains of corpses and seas of blood of the buzzing flying insectoids, burning the charred remnants of the vermin's shells, shattering their colossal jaws and toothy remnants... The fate of Glamoth's Iron Cavalry was to endure the slow disintegration of entropy, burning fiercely on the brink of life and death. Until the flames were completely extinguished, until the insectoids that blotted out the sky turned into ashen black earth, until no one returned — such a routine would continue... What does it mean to be alive? As the acceleration of advancing armor tightly constricted their chests, and the piercing pain of entropy-induced numbness briefly surfaced on their bodies, they tasted a hint of what it meant to be alive. |
Feet
The Iron Calvary's tracks spread across every corner of Glamoth's "Empire," like blazing meteors, yet they could not escape the "dream" woven by Titania. The people of the Republic worried about the legion born for war, questioning how much overlap there truly was between the never-existing "Empire" and their familiar territories... The Empress bestows honor and faith upon her knights, and the Iron Calvary offer loyalty and commitment to the Empress... New humans continuously birthed from incubators, assigned numbers and missions. Old humans hide beneath steel barriers, anxiously enjoying the long-awaited peace they have yearned for. The deception of peace needed to be exposed by someone. The ways of war that shake human nature should not exist in the world. When the catastrophe fades, those with fearful hearts must completely destroy the distorted products of war... The Iron Calvary's greaves break through the sky. As long as they are willing, they can reach any star. However, the "Empire" is nowhere to be found. Before the Iron Calvary lies only a predetermined path — one end leading to death, the other to themselves. |

I need to read the lore on relixs more these things are interesting
“Rule 43 of the Glamoth Military Regulations. Any surviving Iron Cavalry members should voluntarily return to their regiment…”
is this rule34 reference?? 💀
Just because of the numbers? Doubt it
But after them adding nah, I’d win to HSR (twice) anything is possible
does this set boost ruan mei’s dmg?
yeah, the relic increases her talent’s dmg, but I didn’t know about triblazer
My HTB with 260.1 break effect deals 8732 super break damage vs. a random overworld mob, and 9780 super break damage when Gallagher’s ultimate is on, that’s 12% more damage than the first one, meaning super break damage clearly counts as break damage.
I’m going to need someone fluent in English for confirmation on this, but I hope I’m understanding this correctly that;
This set’s DEF ignore bonus will only applied WHEN break damage is dealt, and not TO break damage specifically.
This means; Excluding initial toughness break, the only way to have access to this bonus is by pairing up with HTB. Boothill himself reaps full benefits because of his talent.
If my understanding above is true, then both raw damage and break damage portions dealt by SAM should receive the bonus.
I’m also very unsure if this is an upgrade over quantum set when taking uptime into consideration – A dilemma that often decided by substats RNG hell.
This is less about English and more just Hoyo’s wording
It probably only applies to break dmg
Yeah, when this set was first leaked I think myself and everyone else misread it, or it was mistranslated.
As of right now, the wording clearly says it applies to break damage only. So outside of standard break damage, HTB’s super break, and Boothill, this set doesn’t do anything. Which isn’t necessarily a problem, but… I’m not sure how I feel about it. It feels like jumping through hoops to get 250% break effect, all for a defense shred that’s just… not only less than the quantum set’s 20%, but also only applying to break effect??
They will clearly state if something is treated as Break Dmg (the way they did with RM) and unfortunately Firefly’s Ult-mode attacks aren’t. They simply just used BE as part of the scaling, no different from how Fire TB uses both Def and Atk.
I think the OP’s confusion was because it says “when dealing break DMG” rather than just the break DMG ignores def
It’s just usual weird phrasing from Hoyo, either way it’s FF and Boothill’s best set rn
When the en text looks confusing let’s look at the cn text and we might comprehend it in a better way.
CN: 当装备者的击破特攻大于等于150%/250%时,对敌方目标造成击破伤害时无视其10%/18%的防御力。
(lit. When the wearer’s Break Effect is equal to or greater than 150%/250%, ignores 10%/18% of the enemy target’s DEF when dealing Break DMG to them.)
EN: If the wearer’s Break Effect is 150%/250% or higher, ignores 10%/18% of the enemy target’s DEF when dealing Break DMG to them.
Damn, seems the en localization team was only faithful to the original text wording, it didn’t intend to make it confusing.
