n/a | A security officer from the Bloodhound Family in Penacony. He is also a slovenly and indolent drinksmith. Though unorganized in apparel and casual in how he makes his drinks, he is always courteous toward visiting guests but keeps his vigilance about him. He seems to carry a weight of a complicated past, yet he never voluntarily divulges any details. |
n/a | "The scent of tobacco, candy, and cheap shampoo... he gives off the typical smell of a middle-aged bachelor. While his clothes are tidy, they are always wrinkled and display a lack of style. He also displays no desire to look after his appearance. He doesn't have many friends, and his favorite pastime after work is enjoying a few glasses of Dreamjoy Special. Always sitting at the same spot, with the same drink, and with the same waiters... It's never changed in more than a decade. Yet such a man won the admiration and respect of the Bloodhound Family members — this is probably related to the scar etched across his face. In a sweet dream practically devoid of any accidents, an ugly scar serves as a rare honor for a security officer, symbolizing seniority and prestige. Whenever confronted with a case, he would first unwrap a piece of candy and put it in his mouth. When the candy is almost gone with his chewing, he dives into the investigation with furrowed brows and ponders the clues until late in the bar. However, unlike the young officers, he seems to no longer find pleasure in apprehending suspects. When he gazes into the eyes of the so-called criminals who fell so far in the sweet dream, I see no sense of accomplishment in his eyes, only a profound emptiness and melancholy. I actually understand him. When you reach this stage of life, you'll start to doubt the meaning behind the life you've previously led. It was just like what I have experienced." * Unlocked at Character Level |
n/a | "People need an opportunity to connect with each other, and the diverse special mixes within the Dreamscape serve as catalysts for such reactions. As I check out my surroundings, I soon notice an individual who's used to suavely navigating through life. Using the Dreamjoy Special's fame as a starting point, he starts the conversation with the history of syrups and SoulGlad, explaining to the guests the connection between the time spent shaking the drink and the flavor of the final product. Then, he talks about the degrees of fit between the special mix's aroma with an individual's personality, and how to master the secret of matching the right ingredients... The surrounding faces drown in darkness. He listens to the whispers of sorrow or joy, all the while coldly observing the hearts of the masses as the drinking party continues. He waits for all the guests to depart, then polishes the silver cups on his own until they gleam while gazing out the door. Day after day, he waits for someone who will never return, waiting for that person to give him an eternal lie that will end such a never-ending destiny. He walks alone down the street as lights go out one after another, and he casts a long shadow behind him — Perhaps I, too, will step on to the same predetermined path as he is on." * Unlocked at Character Level |
n/a | "There is only happiness in the sweet dream, which forms its greatest misfortune. These disillusioned individuals in the dream are terrified of The Family chasing them away. They wander like specters on the fringes of the Dreamscape, carefully concealing their emotions and avoiding memories that smell sour or bitter. Their defenses will only crumble during the brief moments after they imbibe the special mix as if they want to say everything they would ever want to say in the rest of their lives... 'If people who look down on me lined up, the queue be long enough to go around The Reverie three times. But those who are willing to treat me with respect... *sigh* there's one less of them every time one of them dies...' 'Everyone daydreams. When I was your age, I aspired to become an intergalactic outlaw. The result is clear: The daydream shattered.' 'You won't notice it when your tie is askew. In Penacony, no one cares about what others were. They don't even care if others are *human* or not.' ... Their words ring hollow, often insincere and perfunctory, never revealing their true thoughts. However, that's the only way the story can feel real." * Unlocked at Character Level |
n/a | "During working hours, he presents himself as a seasoned and composed security officer. His prime has passed, he is more lenient, and his ambitions and aspirations have faded with the shattering of his dreams. After work, he would head to the familiar lounge to spend the long nights, mixing drinks for himself and longtime friends. As glasses clink, those conversations flow and fizzle like foams, then instantly disappear. He reminisces about the golden years when he yearned for freedom despite his captivity. Together, they fought against oppression, entrusting their lives to one another. They dreamed of a free land. They might die any moment, yet acted as if they already held countless wonderful tomorrows within their grasp. However, there were not enough of them to fight back. Familiar friends perished one by one. Ideals crumbled, and atrocities prevailed... 'Is that something you lived through? You... you must be kidding, right?' The guest interrupts his gloomy soliloquy. 'Of course not. How can it possibly be true?' He smiles and resumes his work. ...Gallagher is my most truthful lie. Sometimes, I can't even distinguish between him and myself." * Unlocked at Character Level |

I wonder if they will introduce a 4* or maybe even a 5* harmony soon with a general cleanse/cc resistance, perhaps also a fire type. That would be great with him in my opinion. Especially since there seems to already be quite a lot of overlap with the buffs harmony chars give already.
Sounds like something Robin may do
Yeah but Robin is Action Advance/CRT DMG buffer and she’s Physical.
I vaguely remember her having some form of cleanse but I may be wrong
As it happens I was wrong
So… his signature lc from the memory shop at s5 gives 48 be, his traces gives 37.3 be, break rope gives like 64 and a 4pc thief set gives 32 and a max effect Talia set gives 45, that’s 230 be, only 45 to go to hit cap. Main issue is just getting that much speed for the Talia set… or you could just run him with Ruan Mei who gives spd and break effect… hmm e2 acheron, Bs, Rm and Gallagher…
Talia’s BE is 36% with the Spd req, so the sum is 218.1%, needing 31.9% BE more.
I know he’s presented as a Breaker but… you might be getting a bit too fixated on Break Eff there.
Heal set’s 2pc is worth ~33.34% BE so choosing between 4pc BE or 4pc Heal comes down to which 4pc effect you want more, but 2pc Heal + 2pc BE will give you the most Heal bonus. 2pc Heal + 2pc Spd is also an option.
I would’ve argued the same about his LC having low Heal bonus but the self-healing *is* pretty good so it gets a pass. Though just putting it out there, E1 Gallagher + S5 Perfect Timing puts him at 100% Eff Res.
aside from pair with acheron because he have debuff, i think the only team he can play in w/o heavy invest in the game is welt-misha team, since the team focus on cc and delay turn but dont have enough damage, go full dps on gallagher might be good since they normally wont lose much hp
Gallagher does damage primarily by break damage which means he wants the enemy to recover their toughness bar quickly to allow him to break it again. He doesn’t want the enemy’s turn to be delayed again and again.
Would 2 Passerby and either 2 Thief or Watchmaker be a viable option, or could 2 Thief and 2 Watchmaker work as well?
The Thief 4pc effect would function on him, and includes a second BE +16% buff, so it would absolutely be 4p Thief. He is a unit who builds a ton of BE so it is effective to break enemies with him and reap the benefits of the energy generation from 4p Thief.
I would probably only use 2 Thief/2 Watchmaker if you already have really stellar watchmaker pieces sitting on the side. Passerby would technically work, but BE is Gallagher’s big stat, and a +16% BE buff already gives him +5% Healing Out (due to his A2) as well as making his breaks stronger.
That being said, though; There’s a bit of room for creativity and building with Gallagher’s kit, it seems. So do what’s available to you, and what you like! The only thing I will outright suggest is that nobody should use 4p Watchmaker, as he is unable to use its 4p effect.
I guess it ate my comment before, because I wasn’t logged in…?
I would say that it’s 4p Thiefs, unless you have some really amazing Watchmaker pieces on-hand. Gallagher can take advantage of the 4pc Thiefs bonus, which also includes a second 16% BE increase.
Passerby includes a 10% healing increase, but a 16% BE increase includes a 5% healing increase because of his A2.
I will say, though, that it’s quite flexible and there’s wiggle room for experimentation. Feel free to use whichever combination includes the best mainstats and substats. The only one I wouldn’t suggest is Watchmaker 4p, as he can’t use the 4p bonus at all and it’s completely dead on him.
I thought of 4 pieces Watchmaker until I reread his kit lol, but what you’cr said makes sense. I’ll try to see if I got nice pieces sitting around.
I know Talia will probably be his best choice but unless you get speed substats kills me. I guess I can always pair him up with Asta.
Isn’t he the best support for archeon being the only sustaine that gives debuffs?
Everyone as long can gives debuff, it does count, but i think Acheron rather stick 1 or 2 on the same path Nihility to give more dmg. So for Gallagher, yes you can, Gallagher and the rest of team are 3 nihility members i guess
you need 2 nihility and a sustain for acheron and Gallagher is the only sustain who can apply debuffs and that is not aventurine with his light cone
I mean, Aventurine will apply debuff on his ult, and if he has Signature LC, he will also apply debuff
yeah but you are comparing a free 4 star (we get him free from an event) to a 5 star with his light cone i dont think the majority will have any jade left for aventurine and his light cone for archeon after her banner unless the star rail team is cooking so hard in their 1 year anniversary
He isn’t the only sustain that has access to a debuff. Gepard and March can both freeze. Aventurine will also apply debuffs. Also, any preservation unit can use Universal Market LC can dish out debuffs, and March and Gepard have self-taunt to increase the effectiveness of that LC. Hard to say who will be best with Acheron, I can see arguments for all of them. I don’t personally think he will be best though for Acheron. I think Gallagher is prob more suited to a DoT team tbh. He may lose to HuoHuo in that department, but I think he is a strong alternative. Anywhere else… meh. I don’t see it personally.
In the 2nd idle, Gallagher hand twitched when it turned pink, idk what lore it has but it looked cool
He’s hot but is his healing good?
His healing quite good despite lack cleanse, the team can independently heal themselves after his ult like Loucha passive. In case emergency when your team are dying and he’s not on position, his ult can advance his turn and he can heal or attack enemy to heal all his team
healing is meh but he’s hot at least
his healing is good he just is missing cleanse
why is the healing a flat value
because hoyo want u to build break effect and break effect only to scale his healing with his a2
He’s so cool. It’s bad he has no cleanse though, but I’ll have to tolerate it for the sake of having a team made purely out of characters I like.
