Character Details | The former chief representative of the Whistling Flames merchant guild in the Sky-Faring Commission who nearly lost her life in a strange and catastrophic incident on her return journey. Her face, name, and identity were stolen by the one who orchestrated it all. Yet, by a twist of fate, a sliver of hope remained, and from the aftermath of the Destruction, she reclaimed her life. Now, she goes by the name "Fugue." Whether it be the bitterness of never returning home or the allure of wandering through the starry seas that drives her, one thing is certain — she has risen once more and set out on her path anew. |
Character Story: Part I | The jade bracelet that once shielded her lay shattered, the blessing bell had tumbled into the mud, and the vibrantly adorned folding fan had crumbled to ashes. She could only watch as the ghostly fire of darkness consumed everything she had ever possessed — reducing all of it to flame and ruin. For a moment, she only felt regret that she remained just one step behind life. "I just sealed a major deal with that traveling merchant... such a wasted opportunity..." "All that effort for this well-maintained tail, now reduced to nothing..." "Even my promise to bring gifts to everyone... will now be unfulfilled..." A thousand thoughts raced through her mind, but her body remained still, motionless, as tears quietly gathered in the corners of her eyes. Memories flickered and dimmed like a dying candlelight. "How much I wish to see Madam Yukong soaring into the sky with the bow I bought for her... It's what she longed for most..." "Yanming... From now on, the Xianzhou Merchant Guild will have to depend on him..." "I finally found Mengming's tea seed... she'll be overjoyed..." "And Yancui... It's time to get a new knife for her..." A teardrop slid down her cheek, evaporating before it ever touched the ground. Her vision was gradually engulfed by darkness, and she could no longer make out the path of the Xianzhou ship. "I had hoped to journey deeper into the skies, but in the end, I don't even know who my enemy is... How could I be at peace with that...?" Across the universe, oceans of lives fade away with every passing minute and every fleeting second. Before the presence of the immense power wielded by the Pathstriders, mortals are but specks of dust, carried aimlessly by the wind and waves. "However, because of that, this is a 'choice' for her, and a risky opportunity for the rest of us..." — This is a conversation that took place much later between a traveling merchant and a genius. * Unlocked at Character Level |
Character Story: Part II | The young girl's fragile consciousness drifts through the darkness. Ahead lies an endless night, while behind her, the path home feels just within reach. She steps back into familiar ground, where bustling lanterns glow and the voices of old friends call to her from afar, urging her to return to her trade as a merchant. Before her, black mist creeps in, turning the once lively market instantly into rotting wood and dead ash. She steps back again, and the deck of the starskiff appears beneath her feet. She longs to ride the wind upward, but a strange astral body looms in the sky, and the people she once knew become monsters, raising swords against one another. She wishes to be as articulate as before, but now, facing monstrous forms before her, not a single sound escapes her lips. "I'll just have to move forward," she whispers to herself. "But how?" She asks herself. "Raise your hand." A cold voice echoes from afar. She lowers her gaze, eyes tracing the scar that pierces her palm. The fan still rests in her hand, though she remembers it turning ashen white in the fire. Yet here it is — whole again in her hand. The black mist surges toward her once more. "Go forward." She lifts her hand, and the wound that pierces her palm begins to glow. The light cut through the darkness but also illuminates herself. "Go forward." She raises the fan — Once a source of leisurely comfort, the fan now threatens to burst forth with flames. The black mist stretches endlessly, but the more she moves forward, the more the light intensifies. "Go forward." That cold voice is growing clearer. "Don't look back." She runs ahead. "I haven't seen enough of the countless worlds in the starry seas..." Behind her, five fluffy tails completely unfurl, igniting into fiery flames that cast light into the long night that ensnares her. The laboratory. The young girl's fingertips tremble slightly as a crystal-clear teardrop slips down the corner of her eye. The aloof scientist peers into the cabin, and her expression shifts at long last. "Congratulations on 'choosing' the world on this side." * Unlocked at Character Level |
Character Story: Part III | "Awakening is only the first step. The scars of Destruction still affect you, and you must learn to familiarize yourself with this new body swiftly to harness its power." Day after day, she follows the scientist's instructions, pairing her dance with the strange pastries. She begins to heal at a pace visible to the naked eye. Yet, with each passing day, her doubt grows stronger. She waits anxiously for news from the Xianzhou. After what feels like an eternity, Ruan Mei delivers the grim confirmation about the Stellaron calamity — The Emanator known as Phantylia had infiltrated the Xianzhou with her guise, unleashing calamity and poisoning the living. "Fortunately, the Astral Express and the Xianzhou joined forces and defeated Phantylia before any serious repercussions." She listens to "her" story in a daze, feeling as if it were absurd and unreal. "So she not only took my life but also a part of my time... I should never return to the Luofu with this face and encounter the Chromatic Echelon..." "Phantylia's 'Destruction' of you has never ceased. Although you have temporarily overcome the power of Destruction in your body, her torment of your will has only just begun." There is a subtle sigh hidden within that icy voice. "I don't understand — why me?" "It's simply a roll of fate's dice, and it landed on you." "...So now my fate is entwined with theirs." "I was entrusted only to save you. What happens after you return to the Luofu is entirely up to you." "But in any case, I'm already a pawn in the game of these powerful players, aren't I?" "Undeniably so." She remains silent for a long time, lost in thought. "Business is a two-way traffic, but since I am no longer the same as before, do I still have a choice?" Ruan Mei meets the young girl's gaze and shakes her head. "I don't know. That is your 'choice,' and only 'you' can make it." * Unlocked at Character Level |
Character Story: Part IV | Penacony remains vibrant after the storm. That gilded metropolis, a paradise of luxurious and indulgent commerce, is a destination she had always longed to explore. "You're a Dreamchaser too, aren't you? I don't see many people dressed like you." An outlander in hunter's garb approaches her before she realizes it. "Of course, I too am one. Don't let my appearance fool you. One day, I'm going to buy Clock Studios! What about you?" "In that case, you can also consider me as some sort of a Dreamchaser..." "I've always imagined roaming the starry seas, traveling to different worlds, and establishing trade everywhere. Unfortunately..." She falls silent and the outlander nods thoughtfully, raising the SoulGlad in her honor. After gulping down the can of SoulGlad, he turns to leave. The road home is already long, yet she chooses to pause here. The future holds many paths, and her longing is about more than simply returning home. "Care for some SoulGlad, my lady?" She turns her head toward a vendor pushing a cart. "... Judging by your attire, you must be from the Xianzhou Luofu. I traveled there with my boss many years ago, and I still remember the massive ship and vibrant atmosphere." "When we visited the Whistling Flames merchant guild, the messenger who received us, Miss Tingyun, looked rather like you. I wonder if you know her..." "Ma'am, ma'am, are you listening?" She gazes at Penacony's starry sky. People are coming and going in the distance yet unseen by her. "Apologies, I was just contemplating a "major deal" that could leverage a small advantage to move giants — a venture with immense returns, but fraught with perils...." "Are you hesitating?" She smiles. "Yes, I have hesitated... but I've finally made up my mind." "If I can dazzle those powerful figures upon my entrance, then that would count as having journeyed to the farthest reaches of the sky." * Unlocked at Character Level |

Her skills or talent doesn’t scale from Break Effect it seems. So she doesn’t gain anything other than her personal damage from stacking a lot of BE like Ruan Mei (more BE = longer delay) or HMC (more BE to team). So am I right to say E1 is better than S1?
note that her S1 applies a vuln that all your characters take advantage of. a large one.
E0S1 is her best baseline. E1 are better only in certain situation and certain teamcomps
Also, she has 0 scaling. Not on BE or any other stats. Which is sad because the BE on her LC would be pointless to her. Her toughness dmg are low so shes not that good of a break subdps even if you build her as one
I don’t have Ruan Mei, do y’all think she’ll be avoid replacement for Pela in a Firefly team?
Her skill is pretty op imo so is her talent but her enhanced basic and ult are kinda bland wish they provided the same Debuff as her skill with the one from basic and ult to be considered as separate stack.
As far as current kit is concerned her full time super break is gonna make htb free for the next path so can’t really complain as it was literally why stelle was used in break team in the first place.
skill gives 40 be and 30 from ult so is a pretty good replacement even on that front gotta see what changes occur in future version since tingyun being the benette of hsr can’t help but hope her limited version “breaks” the game in more than one way.
she’s MID rn and IDK where you read ULT gives you 30 BE
Hey guys, is it safe to pre-farm her mats now?
They’re usually accurate from the start so I’d say yeah
Should be. I pre farm for march 7th hunt edition and a number of other characters. Like Sparkle. They have always been spot on.
Fugue with Rappa is gonna be really nice! I hope she stays a nice support for her! Do you think people will play “no healers” team or bench HTB?
Mats? Yeah, those won’t change. The most that could even in theory is the ascension ones, and they’d have to add a new farm enemy to do so.
We aren’t getting new Trace materials until 3.0. She’s definitely using the Penacony Nihility trace mats.
Boss mats are usually the most recent as well.
If you meant Relics, those are probably good too. It’s unlikely that they would change her core concept (which determines which set. In Fugue’s case, it’s probably Iron Cavalry) or the stats she makes use of (EHR body, Speed and Break boots/rope and substats. Probably won’t need many EHR substats if any at all, she gets like 75+ from the body and traces. atk and crit are completely irrelevant. like… there’s a chance they add attack scaling… but I doubt it. But hey, you already might as well use an atk orb. damage% is completely irrelevant to her).
… of course it put the reply in the wrong place.
It will be really interesting to see how a superbreak ‘no healers’ team with Rappa performs. Since Rappa has imaginary break to delay enemy actions, then 60% action delay from both Fugue and HMC, plus Ruan Mei ult to delay even further. Add on DDD + messenger set on HMC and Ruan Mei SPD boosts, and most enemies die before getting a turn.
Well might need to create a new version of it my turn now meme. For it does sound amusing. To picture enemies dying before they get a turn. Welt would be so proud.
i have watch the leaks on YT, Fugue with RM, FF and Lingsha and they need 4 cycle just to kill Hoolay boss on MoC. i like wuatdafak is going on, why Fugue so fckg weak?? bro ISTG if Fugue performance like that in final (v4)
bye!
ukhh… sorry it’s not Hoolay but Svarog. sorry my mistake and it’s took 3 cycle (27 remaining cycle left) i kinda forget before type this, and asap correcting after rewatch the videos again.
Well first of all privet servers showcases cannot be trusted. Some reasons why.
1. Since it’s a privet server sometimes some of the kit gets messed up and things don’t happen as they should in the real game.
2. Privet server people usually aren’t actually all that good at the game and watching time play sometimes feels like i am watching auto play in action. Some of the Robin plays they made during her beta were horrendous. Not to mention characters consistently perform much better after release than they did in the privet server showcases.
Also, if that’s an E0/S0 showcase then it isn’t bad at all. We don’t know what that MoC would take without Fugue since no ones done it. It would be nice to have a team to team comparrison by someone that actually knows what they are doing.
how in the world you said 3 cycle clear with limited char is not bad at all, wtf are you talking about. they showcase MC vs Fugue and both of them get 3 cycle clear, if this the case then Fugue is not needed at all.
why need to pull limited chara if their cycle clear exactly the same with FREE chara, lmfao
ditch Lingsha and add HMC. Boom
Depends, do you have her LC? Then she’s probably better. Got her E1 and her LC? She’s way better.
I sometimes wonder how people build their characters. With them being so eager to ditch Lingsha.
There is a reason the healer but meme exists for her. For on a break team, she should be putting out decent bit of damage herself. Making me wonder if they took into account team damage or just only that of Firefly for their results.
Doesn’t Lingsha do a decent amount of damage, along with adding lots of aoe to the party?
v5 she does more than Firefly.
In that video FireFly have around 2500 hp which means she have no light cone or any relic. She hit like only 100k with MoC buff on fully broken enemy and we don’t know what relic use other teamates or they have any normal set’s. If check normal leaks you can find video where team required only 1-1,5 cycle for the same MoC.
Fugue SHOULD be used with HMC, here’s why:
As everyone knows, Exo toughness makes the enemy break two times.
For HMC this is huge because of his/her passive that makes her/him gain 11 energy per break.
This allows HMC to use DDD and Wind Set, which will translate in extra turn for everyone.
This may be the reason why Fugue is nihility otherwise the team would double dip with DDD more than it already does
If you use wind sets at HMC you lose break from sub stats of other sets, lose that stats reduce bonus from his BE transfer for team and lose overall damage.
So given she seems rather good. Who do you think would benefit the most from her? Firefly, Rappa or boothill?
Many folks says that BH is the biggest winner of v1 Fugue, that may change in the future though
I feel like Rappa and boothill win equally as much since boothill doesn’t have as long ramp up time and Rappa gets alot more stacks. firefly doesn’t benefit as much as she doesn’t get much for exo toughness I’m
So how’s her sp positivity looking like? I pulled lingsha for firefly so I was semi debating on also trying for firefly e1. but if tingyun sp positive enough I’d ideally like to just pick her up and save the pulls for another unit.
Should be sp positive as she can only use her skill at the start of the battle and 3 turns after that
uses skill once every 3 turns (buff duration reduces on her turn, not ally’s), first skill each fight refunds 1 sp. fugue looks really skill positive so far , a bit better than RM in terms of sp-positivity
So her E2 is basically S5 DDD, but why people keep saying it’s broken? I think it’s quite balanced.
Ye it hard to use with 150 energy so it’s not that broken. E1 too can be better, since we have Lingsha with simalar effect and with 20% def shard for team in addtion.
