  1. This looks interesting. A break effect dps that ignore weakness, inflict fire weakness and increase her break efficiency so she can easily corporate the after break mechanics of two known harmony. So her early best team are harmonyMC, ruan mei and gallagher for full break effect madness.

    Her battle animations is kind of disappointing. Like she deserve the meme of ” when she’s a boss VS when she’s playable.” there’s no lasting impression. Maybe im expecting more cos its a mecha. Need more impact.

    Question. Does she still need spd boots? Whats her required BE and atk to maximize her buffs?

    • To answer the questions for (this current version of) Firefly:
      – Most people will probably use speed boots on her so she can hit the 180+ speed region, apparently this allows her to squeeze out 3 empowered turns after ulting, as opposed to 2, which is HUGE.

      -According to some calculations I saw, you probably want to get to 3400 atk and stop right there (it’s efficient for the break effect conversion, so when we go beyond that, the atk will lose a lot of it’s value.

      -As for BE, definitely push for that 360% breakpoint at minimum. But if you want to minmax your Firefly, building as much BE as you can beyond that is probably optimal. (it’s definitely more optimal than trying to force any kind of crit~)

    • She needs to hit 180 Spd during Ult so yes Spd boots is a must. Just aim for 3.4k Atk for the sake of the stat conversion into BE. As for BE, go wild. 400%+ is within the realm of possibility with a well-built HTB.

      I do agree her combat visuals suck. They could’ve stuck with fire and no one would’ve been mad. Now they’re forcing this fairy green magical girl vfx *on a fucking mech*. Still disappointed with the swords taking away the potential for punch/kick attacks. Honestly even the animations seemed too lazy (esp. when you see the raw leaks without any particles/vfx).

  2. I’m trying to force a crit e2s1 firefly with e2s1 sparkle, HTB, and possibly either bronya or asta. I have no clue how to speed tune this mess for optimum results, and I need help.

    I can meet the 3.4k atk and 360BE requirement with 9atk% subs, 12BE subs, and HTB’s buffs. (crit body, atk boots, dmg% sphere, and atk% rope)
    I currently have 11 crit subs and can get up to 14 more (no PO set farmed yet), which could get me up to ~145cv (+64.8 from body)

    In theory my stats would be 3.4k atk, 360BE (with HTB’s max buffs), ~70% crit rate, ~155% crit dmg, 40% def shred, (and extra +48dmg%, 10% crit rate, 133.6% crit dmg (95.6% from skill, 38% non-conditional), +60% atk, 24% def shred, and messenger 4pc from sparkle).

    I am able to possibly get 12 spd subs if necessary and currently have messenger 2pc for firefly. Should I run Asta or Bronya, and what speed do I need for sparkle, firefly, bronya/asta for this painful build?

    • I’ll be honest with you, that team sounds rather painful.

      Asta will likely destroy any speed tuning since your characters will not get the exact same duration of the speed buff depending on when it’s used and how long her rotation is.

      You could try a Bronya+Sparkle with Sparkle just below Bronya’s speed, which would give a consistent advancement each turn. This would give 5 turns per ult at 180+ speeds. Sparkle could be at a lower speed like 140+, but Bronya would want to be up at a few speed less than fast Firefly, and skill every turn.

      A more modest SP consumption and speed investment would be to have Bronya skill on Firefly on her last turn before ult. Then, Bronya would basic into skill, while Sparkle would skill each time. With a 134 Firefly, a 154 Bronya, and 134 Sparkle, this gives 5 turns as well. The speeds are VERY tight though, and Sparkle has to basic every turn she takes between ult cycles.. Bronya needs to be around 153.1-155, Sparkle around 129-136, and Firefly like 182+?

    • If you want Sparkle+Bronya, you need Sparkle faster than Bronya, with slow Firefly.
      That being said, teams with no sustain are risky. I would not attempt it if you also want HTB. It also wastes the 50 SPD Firefly gets from her ult.

      I will personally be going with Firefly, Bronya, HTB, and some healer, with Bronya being 45-49 speed ahead of Firefly (acting as Fast Bronya outside of Firefly’s ult, and Slow Bronya during it. I haven’t done the math yet, but the concept sounds sound.).

      I never used “Slow Sparkle” as she gets out of sync a lot, but you could technically do the same trick (Sparkle being 40-49 speed ahead of Firefly) instead of Bronya.

      And as mr. Despicable Neutral said, Asta will break all the tuning.

        TY’s buff might not count because it’s the same like Robin’s, converting someone else’s attack into Firefly’s. It only had a upper limit of a percentage of Firefly’s attack, that doesn’t mean it is a regular atk% buff.

      • All of the `static value` buff.

        Robin does not help because she give team ATK buff **by her 22.8% ATK + 200**. Such buff contains a `converted value` usually described as “by ?% of his/her ” and “For every ? exceeds ?, increase/decrease ? “. Those converted stat can not be calculated while the stats is going to get converted again, like Firefly’s T4 (Module beta). Her T4 converted every 100 ATK exceeds 2400, this won’t consider Robin’s buff.

        Tingyun, Hanya, etc… They gives a `static value`:
        Tingyun: “increase their ATK by 50%”
        Hanya: “increases the same target ally’s ATK by 60%”

        `static value` can be shorten as “ATK +50%”, “ATK +60%”… . And `ATK +1500` (typically from event buff) is also a `static value`.
        `converted value` usually contain’s variable:
        Robin: “ATK +(22.8% * (Robin.ATK) + 200)”. (`Robin.ATK` is the variable)
        Blessed Bow and Arrow: “ATK + (15% ${last-acting}.ATK)”. (`${last-acting}.ATK` is the variable)

        It’s hard to list all buffs but you can follow the above method to guess them before actual game playing.

  3. The amount of idiots thinking that Firefly needs crit is astonishing. It’s a break effect character, why tf would she need to crit.

    “She needs hmc” – Why is that a bad thing exactly? Harmony TB is a free unit and they are fun to play with. Also what other support would you even replace them with lol. Firefly, Ruan Mei, Sustain. Who else is gonna be better in the 4th slot?? Asta?? lmfao

    “360% break effect is too much” You guys do know that you don’t need to get the 360% from relics alone, buffs in battle count towards the passive. HMC literally gives you 100%+ just by existing and you guys are crying that she needs her lmao.

    • 1. She gets multipliers from building BE, she is clearly designed to build Crit + BE
      2. She also has 0 ways to proc Break Damage in her kit unlike Boothill
      3. You don’t make a limited unit who is non functional without a specific support. That’s the same issue Jing Yuan had when he came out, mid af unless ran in a specific setup or with god tier relics, even if that setup is easy to get (talking about 1.0 JY)

      I just want to say her kit is good, if they just lower the BE requirements a little it will be amazing even, but pretending a units issues are not there will not make them any better.
      Just imagine if both the Crit+BE and full BE build were great at the same time, more versatility never hurts.

      • She was tailor made for Harmony MC and Superbreak…

        She’s very clearly NOT meant to be a Crit DPS. She has exactly ZERO crit traces, her Lightcone gives 0 crit. In an earlier version, it used to. Building a character with crit solely from Relics is PAIN and very obviously not intended.

        The multipliers are there because… why not? Just like Kirtka exists. Above average multipliers mean nothing. She has a turn of downtime, and a non damaging ultimate. Robin’s atk buff also apparently DOESN’T work with her… further hinting she is intended to be played in break.

        Don’t get me wrong, I fully support you. It’s stupid. Her best team is IMG MC and Ruan Mei. There’s no wiggle room, no debatable changes. Being tied to units and a playstyle feels terrible. I too wished she would have been like Xueyi, her break being a fun gimmick alongside her standalone damage

      • “Designed to have crit+BE” yet no crit in the traces or in the LC, hell she doesnt even get crit in her eidolons. fucking boothill gets 30/150 crit for free yet NO ONE says he needs crit(which he doesn’t) so why is firefly any different?

        Also Jing yuan needing a specific set up isn’t why he’s awful, its the LL going once per cycle, LL not procing if Jing Yuan is CC’d AND LL zigzagging across enemies which wastes alot of dmg if there are too many basic mobs. That’s why he sucks.

        The issues(BE requirements, no dmg post break) that firefly has is fixed by a FREE UNIT, why do people give a fuck if she’s tied to hmc if the combo is busted asf??? It’s a 4 unit team, where the dps lacks the supports can pick up, that why they are called SUPPORTS. Acheron got the same doomposting during beta cuz she needed pela/SW and now she’s the best dps in the game.

        Me personally idgaf if crit+BE sucks if full break effect is busted, imo if firefly is S tier but only in 1 team then she’s an S tier unit.

        • Acheron’s cool slashes deal 0 damage if you don’t Pela and Silverwolf ult first… . IL’s damage plummets if he doesn’t have 3 skill points

          Oh what is that, the Erudition character, Jingyuan, following the path of annihilating AOE content, has a boss/elite killing mechanic, whose performance wavers if fodder is on the field… oh no

          Jingliu has 1 turn of downtime so she’s terrible. Firefly deals no damage untill the enemy is broken. Utterly garbo chars no one should use

          Oh what is that, you’re supposed to make best use of the 990% DMG scaling (fairly sure it’s the highest in the game) ability so that the lightning lord doesn’t have to descend 200 times. Heavens forbid we maximse all buffs before he strikes

          No one wants to get CCed. Everyone’s damage is Epsilon if you can’t play them right. Jingyuan is an average DPS, stop sinking your teeth into him. Even the waifu worshiping Prydwen reluctantly placed him where he belongs

          • Yeah Sauce Kun. Alot do love to make characters seem way better or worst than they really are. Hard to find trust worthy info out there.

            Which yeah I also don’t trust Prydwen. Like do you really need that many tiers for a tier list? for you have a tier 4 and 3. Yet it both in the niche tier? Why even have a tier 4 and 3. When you can just throw them all in the niche tier and list them in order of how good they are at dps, support and heals.

      • Super Breaks are a little too impactful for Crit build to even make sense.

        She has no innate CRate/CDmg bonuses (unlike Boothill, which even he would prefer having Super Breaks too) so you’re heavily reliant on whatever you can eke out of your equipment. And in terms of Crit-buffers, you can’t reliably run Sparkle because of the desyncs, she’s not a DHIL that you can plan around easily. Any turn without her buff would lead to subpar damage.

        HTB and RM are just very convenient because their buffs are aura/field-type. FF can take as many turns as she wants within her Ult (up to 5 turns with E2) without worrying about buff durations.

      • 1.No, she doesnt have crit stat either on Lc, trace,her skill, or even eidolon. Unlike boothil that got crit stat based on his break effect. Forcing Crit on her only lower her dmg because of other stat getting lower too.
        2.She implant fire weakness, and also still ignore 55% weakness if the enemy dont have fire weakness
        3.She cant work on other team without Hmc ( because Hmc super break is just that OP) , and Jy even after all the buff he get until now, he still remain Mid

        ive seen a C6R5 FF, along with C6R5 RM, C6R5 Aventurine, and C6R5 Hmc(with RM LC) . The result is kinda dissapointed, with all That whale buff FF barely reacing 500K.

    • I think the problem here would be the SP use, plus the CDMG buff would most likely go to waste if you don’t have crit rate on Firefly. Unless you go for E1 then I think Bronya would work well enough, but I don’t think it will be better than either Harmony Trailblazer or Ruan Mei

  5. Why some comments forcing a crit. Does she really need it? Her kit point towards break effect. And looks like shes optimize that way. Did someone tried full break effect build with htb, ruan mei and gallagher? What’s the result?

    • she can run with mix BE and crit or full BE either would work
      where what going to happen is
      mix BE and crit would have strict requirements on firefly and BE giving supports (locked on HTB on the team) where firefly ideal stats are: crit ratio would be 75-100:100+ and 260 BE and 3400? atk then BE buffs totals to 100
      full BE would be a bit flexible team in the future but currently its team locked with HTB to benefit with the super break

      as of why people is pushing why crit BE builds would work well look at crit BE build xueyi and it works fine

  6. So Im gonna use Misha LC SI5 instead of her sig (unless it gets better), and Im also assuming that the new relic sets or meteor set would be her bis. How would I build her then? Would going mostly BE and 50%/130% crit be fine? Are speed boots good on her even if she doesnt have good speed substats?

    Also another question. Would building pure dps build be worth it on her? I was hoping she wouldn’t have been reliant on HMC before the leaks.

  7. What’s the order of operations on her enhanced skill damage?

    (0.5 x Break Effect) + (400% x ATK)
    or
    (0.5 x Break Effect + 400%) x ATK)

    In the first case, the Break Effect scaling is so pathetic, it might as well not exist, so it has to be the second one… right?

    • The break effect is converted to a multiplier
      So if you have 200 BE it will increase the multiplier by 100% to 500% atk
      So I think that’s the 2nd one since I can’t really tell what the 1st is meant to be
