Character DetailsThe chest of Georios, the body of the fallen dragon supporting the shattered earth, enduring millennia of pain.
Dan Heng, the Nameless and the Chrysos Heir who guards the Earth's Coreflame, steadies the world before it falls and guides all life across the land to a new home beyond.
Rivers flow to the sea, mountains echo in harmony, and the eternal path stretches ten thousand miles.
Character Story: Part IHe never imagined this day would come, when the Trailblaze seemed to screech to an abrupt halt.
The acrid smell of blood spread as the wrecked car spewed choking smoke and dust. He struggled to his feet, groping for direction in the darkness.
Tick-tock, tick-tock... In the deathly silence, only the echoes of life slipping away remained.

"Trailblazer..."
The deformed components in the car blocked his path. Fighting through excruciating pain, he removed the obstacles one by one. Warm blood trickled down his fingertips, but what terrified him more was that he could barely sense that familiar breathing anymore.

"Let's... go home together."
He administered the medicine he carried, the nearly depleted spirit water swirling in his palm, but against such horrific wounds, even healing was futile.
The Black Tide Creatures prowled, surrounding them both with their howls. The Cloud-Piercer shattered, crashing onto desolate rocks.
The spirit water turned crimson as he used his last ounce of strength to shield Trailblazer

He woke up from the nightmare, gasping for breath.
...

"What's up? Is there something on my face?"
At breakfast the next day, his gray-haired companion asked curiously.
"Thankfully it's not like in the dream..."
But he didn't say it out loud, just turned his gaze to the sky outside the window, "It's nothing... eat up."

The sky over Okhema remained azure blue.
But he couldn't help his thoughts from wandering, "I wonder if March is doing alright..."
The car plummeted like a burning meteor. Would she, arriving later, meet the same fate? Or perhaps something even worse...
He shook his head, pushing away the chaotic thoughts.

Another new day dawns.
With recording tools in hand, he prepares to head to the market.
The Trailblaze journey seems to be going as usual.

* Unlocked at Character Level 20
Character Story: Part IIHis Trailblaze often begins with exploration and understanding.

"Little Dannie, hold on tight, sit tight, here we go..."
He sought knowledge of lost history from the red-haired girl, and they invited him to a history lesson overlooking the world.

"Kremnos's tradition?"
"Yes. May we have a duel?"

He asked the golden-haired crown prince. By the side, a white-haired youth was eager to try.
"I want to join as well. Traditions like this are better experienced."
The proud lion of Kremnos kept silent, responding only with a stance.

...

He ventured to the Grove, poring over every book in its collection, as the shattered world gradually took shape in his mind.
To find a way back to the stars, he delved deep into the ruins, investigating the mysteries of the world beyond the sky.

He records everything he experiences, just as he has done at every stop along the way.
But when the fate of the world rests upon a hero's shoulders, he knows that this "Trailblaze" cannot be reduced to mere cold entries.

Those were pivotal battles, each and every one.
Together with companions, they ended the history of "Strife" and witnessed the crown prince of Kremnos break from tradition.
Trailblazer joined the fray, returning the Coreflame of Time. When she(he) returned from the treacherous nether realm, he still couldn't forget the joy of that day, like one who had survived a catastrophe.

Those were also countless moments of farewell.
The Holy Maiden's thousand forms withered, the sage was reduced to ashes, and the daughter of the River of Souls bid her final farewell to the mortal realm... He remembered at the time of parting, they were either sorrowful or content, but never once did they show any regret.

"If one day, we too shall come to this..."
Thinking of Trailblazer's destiny and March 7th who had yet to arrive, he too had spent sleepless nights over this.

"For a thousand years, we have all been prepared to face sacrifice, or to sacrifice ourselves for our companions..."
He had seen it more than once... The weaver gathering relics, embroidering them with a golden flower.
"Now... there are no regrets left."

Compared to the existence of the Permanence, their lives were like fleeting fyreflies.
Yet he could clearly see those twinkling lights illuminating the night sky they had traversed and would traverse together.

As Okhema falls into the blood-red twilight, the prophesied moment shall arrive.
Yet facing the inevitable strike from the black-clad swordmaster, his heart remains as calm as the vast ocean.

He believes Trailblazer will forge ahead without hesitation. By the faint glow of the Flame-Chase, he too caught a glimpse of the path he must take.

* Unlocked at Character Level 40
Character Story: Part IIIAt the end of Era Nova, the cold testing ground reveals its cruel core.
The tidal waves of the Remembrance merge into a tsunami, engulfing the pathstrider of Trailblaze. When he awakens, his companions are already lost in the bottomless Memory Zone.

He felt as if he'd returned to those solitary days before boarding the Express, yet the pain of this moment told him this was more than just a nightmare.
The moment he stepped back into the memoria tide, fragments of the past came rushing towards him...

"...Their heartbeat and pulse are very weak. March, get ready to perform CPR."
"Huh!? I... I don't have much experience with that. Dan Heng, you do it!"

He remembered their fateful first encounter with Trailblazer.

"I'm just imagining all the fun stuff that'll happen to us three... hehe!"
On the streets of Belobog, snow once blanketed their shoulders, and sharing a steaming hot wrap was enough to warm up the entire winter night.

"...As a descendant of the Vidyadhara, I will fulfill my duty to the Luofu."
In the presence of Trailblazer and March 7th, he broke free from the shadows of his past, as their laughter and chatter gradually melted away his snow-heavy memories.

"What did you encounter in Ena's Dream?"
"I dreamed of the Express passing station after station, with people coming and going, yet we five remained together throughout. This journey seemed as if it would never end."

In a similar Memory Zone, they had once escaped Penacony's dream together, leaving the most desired future to reality.

"Dan Heng, how much more can you sacrifice?"
The voice in his heart questioned his resolve, and he answered with decisive action.

The fading demigod entrusted the Coreflame to him. The moment he grasped it, countless gazes of desperate souls seemed to ignite his very being.
At the moment the Sacred Tree fell, he shouldered the burden of a world's creatures, fusing their bloodline with the earth of Amphoreus.

He ventured into the depths of earth's root system, searching for the direction of his companions.
Through vast jungles and endless seas, he traversed wind and frost, crossed the Dead Sea desert, and sometimes lost his way in this complex world.

In every moment when he stepped into darkness, he could always feel that gentle gaze behind him.
"We're retracing our old flight paths, with so much to redo. We need a guard... and an archiver."

"I am 'Dan Heng'..."
Along the inescapable path of the past, the wild dragon roars as it breaks free from all restraints, soaring towards the unfinished road ahead...

"I am... the one who guards the path of Trailblaze!"

* Unlocked at Character Level 60
Character Story: Part IVHe felt as if he was back on the speeding Astral Express.
He watched as the Express ventured into the vast unknown, blazing trails never traveled before.

In the endlessly stretching path through space, he saw a giant dragon soaring through chaos.
It once slumbered in its egg, until one day it emerged in rebirth.
It met others of its kind, sharing the same bloodline and path.
It stirred vast spirit waters, bringing rain and nourishing all living things.
It upheld the earth of gold and stone, protecting the eternal prosperity of all nations...
Its path still winds toward the future.
War's flames licked its scales, and from that heat, it shed its old scales time and time again, gaining rebirth.
Then, together with the Express, it leaped toward the future.

...

"You know, in the future, if the Express gets covered in a layer of cosmic barnacles that won't wash off, Dan Heng can use his... Dragonquake Boom to sand them away!"
"Great idea. Look, Dan Heng's waking up... Want to bet whether it was a good dream or..."

"You guys are too noisy..."
As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw Trailblazer and March whispering loudly next to his ear.
"Come on, spill it! Falling asleep at a time like this. What sweet dreams were you having?"

March stretched lazily, gazing into the distance with anticipation.
"Let me guess, did you dream about what's going to happen on our upcoming journey?"
"..."
"Do you even need to ask? Of course we're gonna beat up all the bad guys!"

The wind that blew then seemed to carry the aroma of breakfast from the Express.
"Let's... go home together."
He made a silent vow, as he had in the past, and would in the future.

    • He is an atk scaling Preservation unit, which means he isn’t getting any def aside from base and random relic rolls.
But his taunt value is still high, so he has to tank somehow, and well enough that his shield has time to reapply before it gets broken through. Having lots of base def makes sense.

  2. He wasn’t even OP, he was good, most of the time you would still use Huo Huo or Hyacine but now he’s really bad, he can’t even activate character abilities like Kafka’s talent or Acheron’s LC

    • if you cant activate Kafka’s ability or Acheron’s LC without DH’s summon – I think its somethin wrong with your team – not with Terravox

new DH is just a one more non-rememberance summoner – like Topaz or General – his summon not must activate whole team passives – if he can it will be OP

why nearly noone can understand weak and strong spots of each summons type?
      1) non-remember type who have weaker abilities and act more as passive skill of character – BUT their one and only weakness is death of his creator + their damage and skills is good and dont need any skillpoints or supporting
      2) rememberance summons who is powerfull units with their own passive and active skills – who also can be stunned or killed + eat a lot of skillpoints + realy weaker without some special support characters in team

each type has their own role in gameplay – say that Terravox is bad cause he cant activate all other passives in game is equal to say that Catgirl bad cause in team without other dd her damage will be lower

        • you one of this mad guys who scream at forums that existance of non-OP dragon in one gacha game is insulting all legendary dragons in the whole world folklore?

or you one of this mad guys who think that if even 1 or 2 new characters in gacha game is not stronger than all others who was before its mean that developers hate exactly you personally?

  3. Hello hello! New question yall, I didn’t really see anyone talk about it and idk if it was the same before v3. So, about his trace Sublimity, I don’t quite understand it, specifically the 0% of bondmates atk part. does it do anything at all? I’m so confused lol.

  4. His shield got a massive nerf. Assuming E0S1 and 3500 ATK, in V1 with purity palace relic set, he could get 50% more shield effect (30%+20%). In v3 with then new relic set he can get 52% more shield effect (30% + 22%).

Assuming a rotation of 1 skill, 2 basic attack, 1 ult, and 4 dragon actions.
In v1 it would total 8700 HP as shield. In v3 it would total 5426 HP as shield.
That is a 38% nerf to his sustain ability. On top of that, the dragon now doesn’t generate energy, which increase this rotation duration by giving him less ult, we are reaching around 40% nerf to his sustain ability.

Considering they nerfed him on his synergetic capabilities, his purpose is only to be a sustain now, where he sucks very badly. 5426 HP as shield for a 3 turn rotation is not enough for most endgame content, and in 6 months he will be obsolete as simple mobs will destroy the shield with a single punch.

He is a free unit, sure, but making him already obsolete on release is a very bad move from Hoyo.

    • The worse thing is that the brainless HoYo shills are already attacking any post that dares to talk about these issues.
They have no calculations and just make up lies saying that DH PT V3 is still a really good Sustain and that his pre V3 Shields were too strong anyways!

They clearly have no idea what they are talking about.

The truth is that V3 DH PT is completely useless as a Sustain currently.
Anyone with minimal calculations can easily see that.

    • It’s a 17% skill nerf for an overall basis, and it’s a ~27% shield nerf based on your rotation. I don’t think anyone was going to seriously run the DEF set before, so I did my calcs with 2p/2p ATK% and new set, since it’s entirely obvious it was made for him.
It is a nerf overall, and he will likely have to occasionally skill on the harder content, but his shielding is pretty much on-par with Aventurine. DHPT and Aventurine skills are nearly identical, Aventurine’s Fup is a bit weaker but likely more consistent.
And even if shields break, the heal from ult fixes any decline.

But without sig, it’s really not good. It’s a triple whammy of losing 30% to shields, lower shields from less ATK, and losing the heal (which might be the worst part).

    • I think he will get more dragon actions than you are assuming. The dragon gets action forwarded each time the bondmate attacks, that should push it into a fifth in that 3 turn window.

And do Sunday’s action advances line up properly with those to give a bunch of extra dragon turns (at 133 spd)? It’s possible that’s what he’s being balanced around

  5. Shield power got nerfed by 33% and 66%.

I couldn’t care less about gimmicks or damage on a Sustain.
Yeah it was fun to have those Dragon shenanigans but that is not what a Sustain character is for, he is there to keep my Team alive, not to play party tricks.

The Shield Nerf is so massive, he needs to use Skill every Turn now, eating SP constantly.
    Absolutely unacceptable from a Sustain.
Hyacine doesn’t have to do that, she can do it in a HP sacrifice Team because RMC only uses Skill 1 time at the start of battle and Castorice will not use any SP at all because she uses Team HP.
DH PT is not for HP sacrifice Teams, so for him to use 1 SP every Turn makes him un usable in most Teams.

They added even more Healing to his Sig LC.
Because now the Nerfed Shields cannot keep up and your Team will lose HP constantly so you need his Sig LC to heal them.

From Best Preservation at E0S0 he went to Total Trash even as E0S1.
    Absolutely pathetic.

We gonna get Free Trash… “Yaaaay”.
Like anyone is stupid enough to waste resources on building him like this.
Especially that most people already have Aventurine.

I do not have Aventurine and even I won’t build a Trash Preservation character like DH PT V3.

    • With the offset of the shield set and taking into consideration a loss of ATK from 2p/2p, the skill nerf is 17%. Assuming a rotation of 1 skill, 2 basic attack, 1 ult, and 4 dragon actions, it’s a ~27% nerf. To sustain the same amount, you would not have to skill every single turn, more like once every 4 rotations.

His basic skill shield is almost perfectly on par with Aventurine’s, his dragon shield is a smidge stronger overall, but less frequent, and assuming Aventurine’s ult always procs a shield, DHPT’s is a smidge stronger.

It’s plenty enough to sustain fine. The issue is when he doesn’t have his sig. I don’t want to even run the calcs – you lose a huge chunk of ATK from lower base LC ATK (or lose any LC effect), and 24% ATK, and lose 30% shields from LC, and completely remove the heal effect.

  6. This is the fate of the free unit. And no, Ratio and Archer is not good either.
Ratio is shit and cope after 2.x began and Archer so called ‘best ST dps’ got clapped by Anaxa/Casto who have better ST dmg while can also do AoE. Anaxa/Casto will continue gets better with future supports while Archer stucks with DPS loss Sparkle.
This Dan Heng without S0 and his shield will be worse than a f2p Aventurine which will be unplayable in 4.x. What’s the point of free unit if they require S1 to be usable?

  9. Ahh damn V3.
DH PT’s Shields got Nerfed hard.
    Skill from 30% to 20%.
That is 33% Nerf in Shield power.
    Ultimate from 30% to 10%
That is 66% Nerf in Shield power.

I guess his original power was the limited version and now that HoYo is re calculating numbers it is because he is Free for Sure.
I would reather spent Stellar Jades on a Great Sustain, instead, we get a Free crappy sustain.
    Huge disappointment for sure.

  10. V3 is here, pack it up </3

If he was initially broken he lost everything that made him good. His shields got a MASSIVE nerf, the dragon fua damage got nerfed and most importantly of all, the FuA is no longer considered as part of the Bondmate's kit. So Kafka's LC, Anaxa's Passive, Aglaea's E1 etc, they all can't procc anymore. His E2 subsequently got nerfed as well

Everything that was interesting about DanTe's kit is now in a ditch. I wanna say he's still a good sustain, but he'll feel awful without S1. For reference, his shields are now 30%~ worse

      • Correct. Not only that but if you combine the new relic Sets Shield Effect with DHPT, it is actually HIGHER THAN THE ORIGINAL. Even the Additional Shielding got buffed. (With the only exception being the Additional Shielding from his Ult.) The new numbers are as follows:

        DH Skill
        OG≈30%+400
        NOW≈23%+410
        W/ Self-Enshroud (New Relic) Set (+22%)≈45%+410

        DH U
        OG≈30%+400
        NOW≈11.5%+205
        W/ Self-Enshroud (New Relic) Set (+22%)≈33.5%+205

        DH T
        OG≈15%+200
        NOW≈11.5%+205
        W/ Self-Enshroud (New Relic) Set (+22%)≈33.5%+205

    • еhe shields have been weakened, but they have changed the set of relics to compensate for this. But that doesn’t change the fact that this V3 is just awful.

let’s hope that v4 will change the situation.

      • Why do people keep repeating the relic set argument?? The set gives you nothing another set couldn’t and it takes away power from his kit

If you wanted the CDMG, you could have ran the sister healing set for the exact same results. It also heavily punishes you for running Eagle on DH. Any future support sets will equally be nerfed and worst of all, running generic ATK% 2 pieces was what you should have probably done. The new set is awful to farm and fuel inefficient

Also robbing us of the SP set is a massive L for 0 cycling

        • I understand and support the dissatisfaction, but we must also take into account that Dante will be a free character. And his set in version 1 was clearly a little broken and needed refinement, BUT not to that extent.

Did many people really think that Hoyo would make such a good character free? (Archer doesn’t count, because you need Sparkle to play comfortably, which many people don’t have, and she doesn’t play with anyone except Archer himself).

So I will repeat what I said above: all we can do is pray for v4.

        • They repeat the argument because it’s valid. 2p mix just means you literally have nothing better, and the new set gives him improved shields, and access to CDMG for the team that doesn’t require his signature.
You are probably not worried about his sustain power (if you’re talking about 0-cycling), and you’re probably not worried about not having his signature (since healing set won’t work without it), so you can keep running that or 2p/2p ATK%, and very little changes.
Also, Eagle’s 100x worse to farm than it since you brought that up.

Also that SP set was trash and you know it. They could easily put in something conditional that’s infinitely better without breaking the game balance than passerby (but it resets once or twice a fight).
