| Character Story: Part I | He never imagined this day would come, when the Trailblaze seemed to screech to an abrupt halt. The acrid smell of blood spread as the wrecked car spewed choking smoke and dust. He struggled to his feet, groping for direction in the darkness. Tick-tock, tick-tock... In the deathly silence, only the echoes of life slipping away remained. "Trailblazer..." The deformed components in the car blocked his path. Fighting through excruciating pain, he removed the obstacles one by one. Warm blood trickled down his fingertips, but what terrified him more was that he could barely sense that familiar breathing anymore. "Let's... go home together." He administered the medicine he carried, the nearly depleted spirit water swirling in his palm, but against such horrific wounds, even healing was futile. The Black Tide Creatures prowled, surrounding them both with their howls. The Cloud-Piercer shattered, crashing onto desolate rocks. The spirit water turned crimson as he used his last ounce of strength to shield Trailblazer He woke up from the nightmare, gasping for breath. ... "What's up? Is there something on my face?" At breakfast the next day, his gray-haired companion asked curiously. "Thankfully it's not like in the dream..." But he didn't say it out loud, just turned his gaze to the sky outside the window, "It's nothing... eat up." The sky over Okhema remained azure blue. But he couldn't help his thoughts from wandering, "I wonder if March is doing alright..." The car plummeted like a burning meteor. Would she, arriving later, meet the same fate? Or perhaps something even worse... He shook his head, pushing away the chaotic thoughts. Another new day dawns. With recording tools in hand, he prepares to head to the market. The Trailblaze journey seems to be going as usual. * Unlocked at Character Level |
| Character Story: Part II | His Trailblaze often begins with exploration and understanding. "Little Dannie, hold on tight, sit tight, here we go..." He sought knowledge of lost history from the red-haired girl, and they invited him to a history lesson overlooking the world. "Kremnos's tradition?" "Yes. May we have a duel?" He asked the golden-haired crown prince. By the side, a white-haired youth was eager to try. "I want to join as well. Traditions like this are better experienced." The proud lion of Kremnos kept silent, responding only with a stance. ... He ventured to the Grove, poring over every book in its collection, as the shattered world gradually took shape in his mind. To find a way back to the stars, he delved deep into the ruins, investigating the mysteries of the world beyond the sky. He records everything he experiences, just as he has done at every stop along the way. But when the fate of the world rests upon a hero's shoulders, he knows that this "Trailblaze" cannot be reduced to mere cold entries. Those were pivotal battles, each and every one. Together with companions, they ended the history of "Strife" and witnessed the crown prince of Kremnos break from tradition. Trailblazer joined the fray, returning the Coreflame of Time. When she(he) returned from the treacherous nether realm, he still couldn't forget the joy of that day, like one who had survived a catastrophe. Those were also countless moments of farewell. The Holy Maiden's thousand forms withered, the sage was reduced to ashes, and the daughter of the River of Souls bid her final farewell to the mortal realm... He remembered at the time of parting, they were either sorrowful or content, but never once did they show any regret. "If one day, we too shall come to this..." Thinking of Trailblazer's destiny and March 7th who had yet to arrive, he too had spent sleepless nights over this. "For a thousand years, we have all been prepared to face sacrifice, or to sacrifice ourselves for our companions..." He had seen it more than once... The weaver gathering relics, embroidering them with a golden flower. "Now... there are no regrets left." Compared to the existence of the Permanence, their lives were like fleeting fyreflies. Yet he could clearly see those twinkling lights illuminating the night sky they had traversed and would traverse together. As Okhema falls into the blood-red twilight, the prophesied moment shall arrive. Yet facing the inevitable strike from the black-clad swordmaster, his heart remains as calm as the vast ocean. He believes Trailblazer will forge ahead without hesitation. By the faint glow of the Flame-Chase, he too caught a glimpse of the path he must take. * Unlocked at Character Level |
| Character Story: Part III | At the end of Era Nova, the cold testing ground reveals its cruel core. The tidal waves of the Remembrance merge into a tsunami, engulfing the pathstrider of Trailblaze. When he awakens, his companions are already lost in the bottomless Memory Zone. He felt as if he'd returned to those solitary days before boarding the Express, yet the pain of this moment told him this was more than just a nightmare. The moment he stepped back into the memoria tide, fragments of the past came rushing towards him... "...Their heartbeat and pulse are very weak. March, get ready to perform CPR." "Huh!? I... I don't have much experience with that. Dan Heng, you do it!" He remembered their fateful first encounter with Trailblazer. "I'm just imagining all the fun stuff that'll happen to us three... hehe!" On the streets of Belobog, snow once blanketed their shoulders, and sharing a steaming hot wrap was enough to warm up the entire winter night. "...As a descendant of the Vidyadhara, I will fulfill my duty to the Luofu." In the presence of Trailblazer and March 7th, he broke free from the shadows of his past, as their laughter and chatter gradually melted away his snow-heavy memories. "What did you encounter in Ena's Dream?" "I dreamed of the Express passing station after station, with people coming and going, yet we five remained together throughout. This journey seemed as if it would never end." In a similar Memory Zone, they had once escaped Penacony's dream together, leaving the most desired future to reality. "Dan Heng, how much more can you sacrifice?" The voice in his heart questioned his resolve, and he answered with decisive action. The fading demigod entrusted the Coreflame to him. The moment he grasped it, countless gazes of desperate souls seemed to ignite his very being. At the moment the Sacred Tree fell, he shouldered the burden of a world's creatures, fusing their bloodline with the earth of Amphoreus. He ventured into the depths of earth's root system, searching for the direction of his companions. Through vast jungles and endless seas, he traversed wind and frost, crossed the Dead Sea desert, and sometimes lost his way in this complex world. In every moment when he stepped into darkness, he could always feel that gentle gaze behind him. "We're retracing our old flight paths, with so much to redo. We need a guard... and an archiver." "I am 'Dan Heng'..." Along the inescapable path of the past, the wild dragon roars as it breaks free from all restraints, soaring towards the unfinished road ahead... "I am... the one who guards the path of Trailblaze!" * Unlocked at Character Level |
| Character Story: Part IV | He felt as if he was back on the speeding Astral Express. He watched as the Express ventured into the vast unknown, blazing trails never traveled before. In the endlessly stretching path through space, he saw a giant dragon soaring through chaos. It once slumbered in its egg, until one day it emerged in rebirth. It met others of its kind, sharing the same bloodline and path. It stirred vast spirit waters, bringing rain and nourishing all living things. It upheld the earth of gold and stone, protecting the eternal prosperity of all nations... Its path still winds toward the future. War's flames licked its scales, and from that heat, it shed its old scales time and time again, gaining rebirth. Then, together with the Express, it leaped toward the future. ... "You know, in the future, if the Express gets covered in a layer of cosmic barnacles that won't wash off, Dan Heng can use his... Dragonquake Boom to sand them away!" "Great idea. Look, Dan Heng's waking up... Want to bet whether it was a good dream or..." "You guys are too noisy..." As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw Trailblazer and March whispering loudly next to his ear. "Come on, spill it! Falling asleep at a time like this. What sweet dreams were you having?" March stretched lazily, gazing into the distance with anticipation. "Let me guess, did you dream about what's going to happen on our upcoming journey?" "..." "Do you even need to ask? Of course we're gonna beat up all the bad guys!" The wind that blew then seemed to carry the aroma of breakfast from the Express. "Let's... go home together." He made a silent vow, as he had in the past, and would in the future. * Unlocked at Character Level |

From Aventurine sidegrade to paper shield forces to farm a niche relic set instead of 2pc/2pc speed for easy 160 speed.
And for those who yapping about his shield never break, those showcase always have his signature. What about S0?
1 attack from a high SU enemy and the shield will break instantly. Aventurine all day babe
Are you regularly doing high DU/SU? Wtf? LOL
Mf scrolled all 4 pages and replied to a comment from 3 weeks ago
1 atack from SU boss can break 5k+ shields soooooo technically if you dont have E1S1 Aventurine his shield will be broken too – we talkin about Erudroid-general step 8 right?.. – aaaaaaaand DH shields will be re-created much more easier that Ava’s + his shields remove debuffs
I remember that under preservation path in SU Ava can create 40k+ shields – BUT WE DONT HAVE PRESEREVATION PATH ANYMORE! soo Ava’s max is 6-7k that easily brokes and you need spend skillpoints for re-create them when DH DONT NEED SP for his shields
Captain Obvious save the day again!
i have been clearing every single highest diff SU/DU with only E0 Huohuo, Gepard, or Granger as sustain-
And i don’t even have Eidolon in my DPS or Support either..
Not to mention the only complete premium team i had is DHIL and The Herta lol, if only my luck isn’t so bad in HSR
how much atk would you recommende on dan heng? also asking for other stats as well.
Depends if you slap SPD boots and ERR rope on him.
At E0S1 with SPD boots and ERR rope, with decent relics substats, I would advise 3300 ATK at minimum. 3500 ATK being the sweet spot.
If you hyper focus on ATK (ATK boots and rope), you can go up to 4200 ATK, but then you lose some QOL. Remember that for each 100 ATK he only gains 40 HP as shield for each ally of the team. But with this build, you are slower and have less ults, decreasing the number of times he can reapply shields and being less flexible.
SPD and ERR seems better overall, and 3500 ATK is the target to reach.
omg, dan hang will finally be able to defeat 0,0000000000001 of welt’s power
Lots of discussion on his LC so here’s my calcs (hope I didn’t miss anything) and thoughts:
(All running 2p/2p ATK%, ATK% chest/boots/sphere/rope)
>Sig: 3296 total ATK, 494ATK to bond (100%)
Bonus 24/36% DMG, bigger shields, healing
>DHIL LC : 3174 total ATK, 476ATK to bond (96%)
Highest off-path ATK that you’d realistically waste on him (heh)
>Standard 5* LC: 3040 total ATKl, 456ATK to bond (92%)
Highest ATK off-path LC’s available on store/standard (highest one you’d realistically use on him, a spare Welt/Himeko/Clara LC)
>BP LC: 2907 total ATK, 436ATK to bond (88%)
Highest ATK off-path BP LC, gives 0 effects
>Wildfire: 2773 total ATK, 415ATK to bond (84%)
Highest ATK 4* Preservation LC, does nothing he cares about
>Journey, Forever Peaceful: 2506 total ATK, 376ATK to bond (76%)
Only preservation with useful effect (20%DMG to shielded allies). Also lowest ATK LC in game (ignoring 3*)
Remember: All your ATK% is being multiplied against the character’s base ATK+LC’s ATK. That’s 485+582=1067 for Signature, all the way down to 855 for the weakest 4* LCs (a 20% decrease).
His sig is solid, offering perhaps the highest buff of a sustain (if not, close second to Hyacine LC), and everything he wants, but the biggest issue is that there is only 1 preservation LC with an effect worth using, and it’s both a new BP LC, and the lowest ATK in the game…
Having one of the lowest ATK and the highest DEF bases as a character also hurts him a lot – it lowers the value of any DEF from light cones (since he’s already naturally tanky), and makes ATK from his LC even more important.
Herta 5*LC and Landau’s Choice have ATK values between wildfire and Journey, and pretty much don’t do anything he really cares about.
You go down to 370 ATK on LC (Journey, Forever Peaceful) with your calculations and forget to do calculation for one of his best non Sig LCs? Even tho you do calculations for BP LC?
Even saying that the Only Preservation LC with useful Effect is Journey, Forever Peaceful?
Do you even know what you are talking about?
How are you ignoring his BiS F2P Legendary LC option?
Texture of Memories is the Herta Shop Legendary Preservation LC (that can easily be S5 by the way).
That LC has 423 ATK and decreases the DMG recieved by the wearer by 24% if they have a Shield on, if they have no Shield it gives them a Shield (this part is unlikely to happen since DH PT will always have Shields on) and on top of all that he gets 16% Effect RES.
So obviously it is not as good as his Sig LC, but his Sig LC is not that OP at all, so this is a good F2P option for sure!
Ah yes, the LC with the second worst ATK in the game, and an equally useless effect. I saw you going on about it, so I threw in the last line since I didn’t feel like finding my calcs again, it’s going to be ~80% of sig’s value and gives him nothing he cares about.
>16% effect res
The most this does is give you only half stats needed for broken keel and slightly higher chance of not being CC’d. If this amount of effres was useful, people would’ve been happy to have 35% on JL’s traces. Which they weren’t.
>DMG reduction and free shield
Shield effect is weak (scales off HP), has a long CD, and damage reduction is nice, but doesn’t really get you anywhere (did you know DHPT has the highest base DEF in the game?)
If a sustain needs to be tanky to do their job (Fu Xuan) that’s fine, but if they don’t it’s useless. DHPT has natural bulk to offset his higher threat, but if his shields are being broken, that means your carry’s shields are being broken too – making DHPT tougher does nothing to help that.
And if you want him to be tanky and take all the hits, at least give him Landau’s Choice – same ATK, gives him DR, and increased threat.
i can’t believe my mono-Dan Heng team is gonna have infighting over who gets the DHIL lightcone
if bro is free then i’m currently thinking of running champion boxing and landau’s choice and maybe vonwacq or space sealing station (idk how to spell it sorry lol) . does anyone have thoughts or opinions to share about this? also what’s the current thoughts on main stats? i was hoping to do atk, speed, atk, err.
physical relic or the attack musketeer relic could work.
i would also agree with your planar choices
as for main stats i would also say:
chest – atk,
boots – atk/spd
orb – atk
rope – atk/er
ay! thanks! i hope farming goes good for us both!
Space Sealing station seems to make sense – just a bunch of ATK and a SPD threshold that’s do-able.
Lushaka’s going to be a bit better for giving the carry more ATK (but less shields), Vonwacq isn’t necessary, he’s got one built into his kit, and Lushaka also gives the energy.
Champion is probably worse than a mix of 2p/2p ATK% sets. It only gives you 1% more ATK (after stacking), and 10% phys damage isn’t necessary (only good for ult/basic)
He’s probably going to just stack ATK% and whatever speed he can get at this point. ERR is the only real question but that depends on how it plays with his extra energy from carry attacks, and I ain’t doing math on that.
ah i see. the 4 piece passive on champion boxing came to mind first for me cuz of landaus lol. and yea im hoping to run err cuz i have a pretty good one rotting in my inventory. but if he doesn’t need it then I may have to rework my tingyun lol. but thanks for the cals you did do!
He shouldn’t have a huge demand for nicely rolled pieces – Chest/sphere and maybe boots/link will be ATK% main stat, meaning there’s not a lot of relic slots that need critically high rolls of stats – just as much speed as gets you a nice breakpoint (the diff between a max speed DHPT and a fast-enough DHPT will be like 1 SP or so).
he need ONLY atack cause only atack buff shields of his dragon
you can get him even just Herta planars – with small luck you easy get 120 speed and full bonuses
you can also up his crit and crit rate – it can up his dragon atack power after his ult – but its not soo important as just atack
think about him as Aventurine – but with atk main stat instead of def
and he will be good with LC from Herta shop if you cant get his signature LC – from 4* LC I just dont know cause its more than year ago we get Preservation last time – I just dont remember whan other Pres LC do sorry )
hey thanks! and fair fair, I’m mostly going for the tanky-ist shield i can get cuz bosses keep hitting harder lol. if his personal dmg is good enough with low invest then ill consider crit.
Why does nobody read his Full Kit?
He already has built in Vonwacq effect in his Traces, so why would anyone even think about putting that on him?
hey hey my bad lol. i get excited for building and only glanced through the traces quick haha. i mostly wanted to see if he got more atk in traces scene his base is sad and low for an atk scaler. i took a double take after posting my comment and reading others. i will probably go space sealing then.
KPurityPalace for max sheild strength, try to use highest baseATK LC, whatever you can spare. SpaceStation for pure atk.
Try for SPDboot and ERRrope, for more ults.
EHR bod if youre gonna play him with kafka
PSA: Use KPP 4Set if you want max shield strength. OffPath LC is fine, Just try to maximise BaseATK.
THANK YOU, sadly after V3 idk if an err rope is viable with that sad ah multiplier T^T and his poor e1. crazy how quickly hoyo can change our opinions lol.
Currently DH PT is an OP Sustain that gives Shields that stack so he is good in pretty much any Team, exept HP sacrifice Teams like Castorice.
He gives Team Wide Shields on his Skill, Ultimate, and Dragon Turn.
(His Dragon has 165 SPD by the way.)
With that many Shields stacking on each other, he is a better Shielder than Aventurine!
His Dragon is able to Cleanse so that is a good thing for sure!
(Preservation characters usually lack Cleanse.)
His Sig LC is good, but not a must Pull at all.
Those who say his Sig LC is a must Pull, have no idea what they are talking about.
Herta Shop S5 Legendary Preservation LC is good for him as a F2P option.
He wants ATK% SPD Effect RES.
There are many Relic Set and Ornament Set combinations that give ATK% and SPD%
so he has multiple 2pc-2pc options to choose from.
If you want 4pc for him then probably the “Knight of Purity Palace” Relic Set is a good one.
But maybe the 2pc-2pc combinations are better. We shall see.
his LC is must pull for him and for Fire MC – if you will play with this 2 guys his SLC is must have
for any other team – yep its nearly useless – it can have a good use in Virt with Aventurine and gold relic of shields BUT its soo rare situation that pull this LC just for this is really stupid – beter pull eidolon or save pulls for next banners
he will be good with shield-making full artifact set + Herta station relic set – more atack and more shield power – needed stats ia only atk and spd – others not soo important at real
Creative bankruptcy aah design
I have E6 Phainon and E6 Sunday will he be better than a harmony on my team? I don’t really care about Coreflames because of Phainon’s E6 and if I can stack Phainon’s shield passive and Sunday’s upgraded E would it be better than Bronya?
Ok, Mr. Crippling Credit Card Debt, I suggest still using triple Harmony. DHPT’s shields really aren’t needed when Phainon is in his ult all the time
there are more upside’s as only the shield
1.Dan Heng gives ATK boost based on his on ATK
2. phainon trace give him 45% dmg Bonus when he gets a shield or gets healing from an ally
3. he gives an summon that is considert as a summon from bondmate (phainon) that enabel’s sunday’s skill (30% dmg Bonus + 50% when the target has an summon in total 80% instead of 30%)
4. the summon makes FUA(80% ATK to all enemys) from the stats from bondmate twice after dan heng’s ult (when you have E2 dan heng the FUA are 4 times and they are stronger(160% ATK as AOE + 80% Atk to the enemy with the most hp)
DHPT E0S1:
>81%DMG
>~500ATK (flat bonus)
>2 bonus attacks that are weaker than basics (80% each)
Unsure what relics he will run, but seemingly no huge gains (no sacerdos, small ATK/dmg% from planetary set)
Bronya E0S1:
>106%DMG
>55%ATK(~700atk) +15%(~200atk)(first two turns only – technique)
>80/98%Crit Dmg (assuming Bronya 200%CD, Broken Keel, based on Sacerdos stack – independent from Sunday’s)
Eidolons are super skewed in DHPT’s favor – Bronya’s don’t do anything for Phainon in your situation, and DHPT’s are fantastic (Res Pen, more bonus damage/procs, Def shred)
Just notice and obviously not suprised by how his eidolon and lc values are worse than Hyacine as a newer unit smh
Gooner Dev at it’s finest
Or you could look at it like a normal person, and be grateful that meanwhile HoYo is ripping of people with the Gooner Tax, making Hyacine cost more since her Eidolon and Sig LC are better, the players who are not Gooners, can enjoy DH PT E0S0, no extra cost needed.
Every time I see an OP E1 or OP S1 I think that it should be part of the character’s base Kit by default!
But since I am a normal person, that might be the reason why I think that way.
Eidolons and LC is created for make characters stronger than they normally must be – soo its just stupid to think like “hey this E1 is strong! HoYo is bad persons cause they not give it to me for free!”
at real we all have choice – we can spend jades on one char and get one really strong char that can solve any issue – OR we can spend jades on many chars soo we can get not soo strong but many chars and create many teams for any situation
you just need to chose one of this ways – and at real both ways is good enough for endgame and for getin some fun – its all about your own skills and sense of joy )
Currently running Tingyun, Bronya, and RMC with Phainon. Which support should I replace? Also, I don’t feel like reading, but does he give Phainon stacks, and how many exactly?
One from skill. Maybe Tingyun
Depends on who dies easiest and your crit stats. RMC doesn’t give a lot of coreflames but gives good crit buffs, while Tingyun doesn’t give that much crit but gives attack and can proc more coreflames. Bronya does both. Personally, I’d lean towards replacing RMC since Tingyun can stack speed and eagle set to act more and provide more coreflames.
DHPT coreflame stacks are hard to calculate without play-testing, but about 2 coreflames per action if he has 165 speed (one from his own action if he refreshes his skill, and one from the dragon’s action) i think? Plus, I think Phainon gets a damage boost when healed or shielded, so that’s worth keeping in mind.
