well my guess is going to be the standard. X unit is the second coming of Jesus. X unit can’t be power creep. Then a few weeks later, x unit they hype up is trash and shall be power crept by the newest released unit.
For yeah alot of hot or early takes, are just let promote fear of missing out or come off as marketing. Of course let face it. If someone says they have a hot take. a majority of the time it just pure trash and not the good kind you can loot in game. they didn’t think about it at all and just said the first thing that came to mind.

Will ride upon the dragons back. because the mountains don’t give back what they take. Oh no there will be blood shed! Its the only thing I’ve ever known. Good luck getting that song out of your head. in all seriousness. Yeah I highly doubt, the two will be comparable at all. Be it in terms of strength or what they can do in a fight.

Betting that Firefly’s page will have pages and pages of doomposting comments, just like Dehya, Arle and Raiden pre-purge. Can’t wait to refute arguments and complaints from commenters who can’t be bothered to register an account.
I will give it a 50/50 chance of that happen or people praising the character to sky high just for existing. If not both. With some just going doom doom character bad. others going best character ever, hahaha all your other characters suck now and have been power crept. With only a few legit interested in talking about the character and how good they will be and what teams they work best with.
Not even sure why anyone believe raiden was going to be bad. Given all the characters, that are gods of their nation. Were rather good. Only one that had any debate was Zhongli. After that very good.

I actually doubt there’ll be much doomposting. Firefly has 0 competition in the fire department. Unless you wanna count Himeko or Topaz as proper fire DPSes, it’s an element/role clearly lacking a proper “flagship” character.

Heck I seen someone call Robin boring. While going Mei is better. Without really explaining things at all. Making me wonder were they trolling, given a character can be boring but that doesn’t mean they are weak. Since their basic skill does similar things. buff party, for three of their turns. Use ultimate when ready. Like their play style is similar enough, you have to really explain why one is boring and the other is not.

I left Honey Genshin because it became too toxic. I don’t want the same thing happened to Honey SR.
I think Acheron has taught us that it already can reach such levels. Things like this are way too divisive. What we can hope for is that they don’t go overboard with it.
Yes, there will be doubters (read: “doomposters”; I was one of them, no shame for me to admit it), but at least the discussions here are still civilized. I hope it keeps that way. 🙂

Acheron was a lot more justified than you think. She was never going to be a bad unit but
An entire Eidolon was added into her basekit. You can’t just skim over her the fact that the overstacking ult energy mechanic didn’t exist in it’s entirety.
She’s still the least new player friendly DPS. Yeah her ceiling might be the highest in the game, but her floor has issues. (not everyone has GNSW, Pearls and Tend), lack of harmonies means her relics are a lot more important.
I’m of the mind that both sides are equally bad as each other. The ones who ignore the flaws completely and the ones that take said flaws to even greater extremes than reality. BUT. It was very fun to fight back xD I was of the mind she wasn’t that bad but her LC issue was a big flaw (still is I guess considering the stats say basically most Acheron havers are also S1 minimum)
I skipped her anyway I just loved the arguments. I have no use for another DPS as I already have my two squads and min maxing takes the fun out of the game for me. And Aventurine Hot 😀

My experience yields the opposite opinion. Acheron’s ceiling is not any higher than anyone, including Jing Yuan, given the player has mastered the optimal way to play the characters they own. However she’s pretty easy to play, you simply debuff the enemy and press the ultimate button. There isn’t really anything that may cause a major damage lose, unlike when you play Jing Yuan such things are prone to happen and you must avoid it intentionally.
Some accounts might be devoid of available light cones but that’s fine, every character asks for a light cone and such an account has nothing to offer anyway, that doesn’t mean the player should skip everyone because they have no light cones to offer.

I think the devs ran out of 4* characters to pump out. Maybe they’ll recharge in 2.4.

Considering we’re entering territories of characters without leaked models now I think we’re gonna get a lot more surprise characters like Jade (although it was pretty well speculated that 2.3 would be jade and firefly in this case)

However they didn’t run out of unreleased characters. After Firefly and Jade, we still have Sunday, Jiaoqiu, Feixiao, Opal, Diamond, and so many else. So they are planning to release two limited 5-stars every 42 days without a break until forever?
God I hope not. Like genuinely I want at least a full rerun patch or a patch with just 1 new 5 star and 3 reruns. Give me a break hoyo.

as they didnt drip market a 4* for 2.3, theres a slight possibility that we will get the new march 7th form in 2.3 (from story)
if thats the case, and im thinking that they didnt drip market her as its obtainable from story while drip marketing is for new chrs and we can get from the banner as a starter.

Quantum is generally BiS on Quantum characters anyway so I thought mayhaps
Gotta need more information about her attack types to answer tho, like how many hits per FUA to make use of FUA set. Otherwise Quantum is still good, if you run with Pela or E1 RM
I agree. As I said it is way too early but I have nothing else to farm for in the triple relics. I already have some useable Follow up pieces so I’ll farm Quantum for now. And I mean worst case I can just refarm later :3

Followup set is only good if it hits multiple times, something like Topaz or Jingyuan. Jade will probably benefit more from a quantum 4pc or 2x quantum and 2x followup

Quantum set: 10% damage amp, 10% def pen, 10% additional def pen vs. Quantum weak.
FUA set: 20% damage amp for FUA only and not the additional damage. 24%~48% attack depending on how many hits of her FUA.
I guess the additional damage on her kit serves as a major part of her damage output and Quantum set should be slightly better on her. However by convention there will be 2 new relic sets in the 2.3 patch and there might be a new relic set that is even better than the Quantum set on Jade.
Quantum set is just wonderful for every Quantum-type DPS and even some non-Quantum-type DPS prefer Quantum set over something else. Even if Jade ends up with the new set, the excess Quantum set pieces are unlikely to be useless on your account.
That’s true, although since then I started to farm for Clara as I realized I am very close to the 300 standard pull and Jade is still a long way :D. Still, thank you for the tip!
