n/a | A Memokeeper of the Garden of Recollection. A mysterious and elegant soothsayer. She often wears a warm smile and is willing to patiently listen to the words of others, thus using such means as a pretext to enter "memories" and gain omniscience over certain matters. A lady passionate about collecting unique memories, yet the thoughts that guide her are hard to glean. |
n/a | "She's quite an unusual kid, and I could sense it from the day she was born. It felt like nature itself was celebrating her arrival: The birds chirped, the moon and sun were together in the sky. The cards in my hand seemed to hint at the emergence of a soul steeped in nostalgia. Right from her early years, she had a fascination with stories from the past. She would delve deep into contemplating our origins, our creators, and even the very beginning of the world. Her questions would leave even the most erudite scholars scratching their heads. Sure, some other kids might poke fun at her for asking such deep questions, but aren't those questions important? Life is akin to a winding labyrinth, where memories serve as our sole companions." Afflicted with amnesia, her mother struggled with forgetfulness, making it difficult for her to recognize her family or recall recent events. Clutching the diagnosis of amnesia, she held her mother tightly, attempting to read aloud from the latter's diary. Her mother was physically present, but where was she in the realm of consciousness? She stayed by her mother's side until the end of her life, realizing that her mother had been fading away as her memories became fragmented. If her own memories of her mother were to ever become blurred as well, her mother would completely slip away from her. "Life is akin to a winding labyrinth, where memories serve as our sole companions." For the first time, she comprehended the profound meaning behind these words. |
n/a | "I arrived on this planet as an explorer. My usual tasks involved observing the flow of rivers, examining the materials of the city's bricks and tiles, analyzing the steepness of roads, and documenting the number and distribution of chimneys... These duties aligned with people's imagination of preserving a planet's 'memories.'" — However, such efforts were far from sufficient. Once I started working in secrecy, I would often come across that girl. Sometimes, sunlight would dance through the leaves as she walked beneath them, disappearing around corners once the street lamps illuminated the surroundings. On other occasions, her gaze would follow a carrier pigeon, which left the High Priest's quarters every Wednesday night, only to return the following morning to the palace's chief of the guards — a known political adversary of the High Priest. Occasionally, she would quietly observe rain trickling into sewers scarred by artillery fired from the opposite shore. And sometimes, waves would dampen her skirts, while an elderly woman washing clothes by the river recounted the story of the previous sovereign and his five illegitimate children. — Few individuals, apart from us, understand that a planet conceals and safeguards its "memories" in such a manner. I trailed behind her until we reached a rock on the moor. I knew that it was the time to invite her. "What do you see?" I asked, in a form visible to her. She pointed at a patch of weeds and the lingering traces. "I see a stone, perhaps once part of a fireplace... But it must hold more significance." I nodded and assisted her in removing the weeds and dirt from the crevices of the stone. "It was once a monument," she murmured, gently caressing the engravings adorning its surface. "Indeed, but the 'memory' holds more significance." Thus, I revealed to her that the stone on the moor had once served as a fireplace, a monument before that, a flowerbed, and even an altar... And before all that, it had simply been a stone on the moor. "What price would I pay if I want to witness those 'memories'?" "People will remain oblivious to your presence unless you are willing to reveal yourself." "Just as people fail to acknowledge the existence of black swans until they encounter one?" "Yes, just like that." Memokeepers travel to numerous planets, collecting the memories of each city they encounter. They are careful not to leave any trace of their presence, ensuring that nobody remembers them, unless they come across someone with the potential to become a Memokeeper, whom they then take away from the city into the vast expanse of the stars. |
n/a | Many individuals obsess over the glory of the past and aspire to become Memokeepers, longing to live within their memories. Such individuals often degenerate into unbridled Cremators, distorting memories to suit their preferences. However, she is different... I've sensed her unwavering determination and profound respect for memories themselves. Following tradition, I asked her three questions before making her a Memokeeper. "Will you dedicate your whole life to the collection of memories?" "I will." "Will you relinquish your physical form and embrace the transformation of self?" "I will." "If one day you cease to exist, what legacy will you leave behind for the world?" "My memories. They hold seeds from the past, destined for rebirth into the future." Memories come in various forms. Some are trivial and heartwarming, while others are grand and expansive. Some are gentle and meek, while others are wild and untamed... When she became a Memokeeper, her memories became tranquil and serene, like the calm waves that finally found their destined harbor. "What comes to your mind?" The Memokeeper asked. As she opened her eyes, fragments of memories swirled around her. "People tend to believe they are facing the present and the future, yet fail to realize that we are all, in fact, moving toward the past." |
n/a | Location: Penacony Date: ██/██/██ Guests: ██, ██, ██, and ██ "A sorrowful memory from ██. This opulent memory, adorned with ostentation and longing, conceals an unknown sadness that will linger for years, influencing its owner for an extended period." "A joyous memory from ██. This dramatic memory is filled with vibrant hues of joy, confusion, and humor, but it can hardly be called true happiness. Such is the future it portrays." "A regrettable memory from ██. The fleeting happiness in this memory is beautiful yet short-lived, like a shooting spark from faded ashes. Cherish your limited moment, dear guest, for it informs me that it shall soon vanish." "A vague memory from ██. This memory is faint, chaotic, and disorienting, akin to an endless downpour with no respite in sight. I yearn to capture the future it points to, whether it be filled with rain or sunshine..." "I saw the figure of a woman, gracefully leaping and transforming amidst images and patterns. No... I'm not crazy, I did indeed see 'her.' I remember her voice, its velvety texture, and the colorful cards in her hands, imbued with some sort of magic... Oh, and she invited me to partake in fortune-telling. She said, 'Whether you want to foresee happiness or misfortune in the future, retrieve lost possessions, or seek unexpected gains... All I need is an honest story, for the past and the future are overlapped on the same point of a single circle.' My head spun, and she exuded such gentleness. I talked so much to her, and she patiently listened to my ramblings... And then, following her divination results, I retrieved a lost mirror for a guest of the hotel! Oh, you asked what I said to her? Oh, nothing important... Just some rumors about the past..." Currently, she journeys through various realms as a diviner, uncovering memories intertwined with her Path and Aeons. She believes that those memories are as enduring as gems, impervious to the eroding forces of oblivion. "Numerous Memokeepers have ventured to Penacony, only to discover it as a mere illusory mirage dancing upon the water's surface." "However, dreams... They represent a distorted form of memories. I shall delve into its depths and catch a fleeting glimpse of the buried memories before those Memosnatchers and Cremators arrive." |

She is mid, slightly better than sampo (a fucking 4 star btw). just don’t waste your jades on her, she is a dps yet her damage feels like a crippled old man trying to do a sprint with usain bolt. might as well give up on DoT team, better invest on your generic DPS. the good news is, she is on par with standard 5 star yeeey happy happy happy. my advice is just give up on DoT team, its not worth the effort.
You call that “slightly” better? lol
No mean to argue with you, believe in whatever you want to.
i knew i would find a flat earther here. Well nice try trying to act smart. you cant even compare worth one stellar jade.
oh and 1 more thing, Kafka + BS + RM + HuoHuo team damage will still going to lose against Jing Liu E0S1, yep you heard that right 4 limited 5 star is still benched by 1 Destruction 5 star. that is the path where you are going to, its clear Hoyo do not care about DoT whatsoever, unless you like to get milked then sure
Jing Liu defeats the sum of two 5-star DPS working at synergy plus the best dual DPS assist plus a sustainer who can boost the team’s DPS even further, single-handedly? You believe in that? Sure, you can believe in whatever you want to.
jingliu + 2 4 star supports will prob outdo that team if both the dot dps dont have their cones im ngl. black swan doesnt seem awful to be fair but judging from her current state she is going to need her light cone to function at a respectable level, and kafka too wants her lightcone to be a complete character. while dot isnt awful and dead in the water by any means, it is an expensive team to build up to a good level both in terms of resin and relic rng and also jades compared to someone like jingliu who gets like 130cv, a crazy amount of speed and 2k bonus attack for just existing, on top of def shred and dmg boost from her cone, on top of good base multipliers
You sound dumb as fuck comparing a Crit dps to a dot dps do you even second read what you yapping lmao.
they are both a “DPS” ofc you should compared it genius, if not one will always have a good things while the others eat shit. crit dps doesn’t have a backloaded dmg like DoT and kafka fix that, but BlackSwan, her 5 TURNS ultimate and some of her kit isn’t synergies with kafka and there is no fucking way you could reach that 50 stacks without being a whale, you need a huge amount of investment that others teams could do with ease. you better pull both Ruan Mei and Sparkle than BlackSwan and stick with Sampo/Guin/Luka. it will bring more benefit for your account than pulling that over glorified black duck .
For Black Swan to work you do NOT need to reach 50 stacks, it’s just a limit as anything else. It’s like saying the Devout and Confusion effect of Nihility path in SU is bad because you can’t reach the maximum stacks easily.
And Black Swan was the one that revived Kafka, she has TOTAL synergy with her.
Even though you need to focus on everyone in DoT teams it is worth it.
And how exactly comparing different categories of DPS character will avoid one getting good things while other “eats shit”? You’re straight up throwing words to look right
And if your Black Swan take too long to get her ultimate it’s purely your problem
Yeah, it’s like when one of those Ganyu main trash on Nilou Hyperbloom team once again, nothing new to see here.
Not much changed in the update. Apart from cleaning up the text a bit (people will still be confused by her kit btw; there’s no resolving the complexity *unless* they simplify her)… the only change is that they reduced the max Sacrament stacks from 99 to 50.
In “normal” gameplay, she can achieve somewhere in the 20s so this doesn’t really change anything other than people attempting a very niche build for the sake of racking up stacks. Imo, enemies taking their turn is just as important as raising stacks.
Yea, this changed nothing.. she’ll still doing great. ulti changed to epiphany before aoe attack improve her S1 start up too.
What’s better for body? Effect hit rate or atk
EHR is better but attack also works if you already have 120% EHR from light cone and substats that you don’t need any more EHR.
is it worth pulling ruan mei to replace asta for a kafka + bs team? im considering it but im not sure how important asta’s speed buffs + burn is for bs
If its only for dot teams asta is good enough but mid max investing into dot teams I think Ruan mei is better for our shortened moc cycle now. If your kafka can hit 161 speed alone then ruan mei’s a bit of front loaded damage buff potential is better
it is worth it
V3 changes:
Ultimate:
Does the damage, then assigns the debuff -> assigns the debuff, then does the damage.
Talent:
Sacrament can stack 99 times -> 50 times
Virtually no changes.
Bs ulti seem useless because she need at least 4turn or 3turn with atk (vonq)rope + sw(event)lc. But her ulti only up for 2 turn which mean f2p or low spender will never get more than 7stack.
well, it allows Guinaifen/Luka/e4 Sampo to detonate the Sacraments in addition to their own dots. so it should still get a decent number of stacks.
Only when black swan working with 4-star DoT does she need to cast her ult as frequently as possible. When working with kafka her ult doesn’t do much useful.
right, her kit is a mess. its like hoyo trying to make her work without kafka but also want her to work with kafka at the same time.
Would she be good for Dr Ratio as debuffer?
silverwolf or pela are better
Pela does better job for the purpose.
She’s an option for him; not necessarily the best option, but still a viable option.
Silverwolf is undoubtedly Ratio’s best debuffer right now; she applies lots of debuffs, some of which give very potent damage increases on their own, all while providing decent personal damage.
Guinaifen’s probably the second best option, giving 2 debuffs (3 at E1), including a slow but sizable vulnerability debuff, while again providing decent personal damage.
I’d put Black Swan and Pela at about the same usefulness for Ratio, right after those two. BS’s Def shred is certainly worse than Pela’s, but BS also applies more debuffs than Pela. Without Pearls, BS gives 2 debuffs (3 with her ult), while Pela only gives the one through her ult (unless you use her skill with E4). With Pearls, both characters give exactly 1 more debuff. Also, BS’s personal damage will almost surely be good, while Pela’s is virtually nonexistent.
Dear DoTs and Kafka enjoyers, by herself, Black Swan can provide quite the defense shred, in a team where the only cancer providers are her and Kafka.
– 20% from skill,
– 20% from 7-Sacrament Ult,
– 14% (to 28% during Ult) if you have her LC
– and finally, but only for her DoT, thanks to the Prisoner set, 12% (to 18% if you have Kafka’s Sig and/or during Ult)
All that defense reduction makes me think about Asta complementing it. Truthfully I barely ever ran Asta with Kafka, anywhere in the game, as I always had better results with SW or Pela.
But with BS providing this much in terms of Defense shred/ignore and her Sacrament mechanic, Asta’s kit (the atk part can be “meh” more often than not, but the 50 team-wide SPD, potentially 62 if Hackerspace Messenger set) could be amazing.
Heck, in some situation, add Freeze Bot March or “Sustain” Ruan Mei to close the team and might see some greatness ngl
TLDR –> ASTA STONKS ; KAFKA STONKS ; (potentially ?) MARCH 7TH STONKS
Doesn’t really relate to Kafka enjoyers tho. Since most of her defense shred is just improve BS own dmg, Kafka can’t really benefits from it. The only defense shred that affects Kafka is just that 20% from skill.
Both 7 sacrament defense shred and taking 30% more dmg on ult only apply when it’s enemy’s turn, Kafka can’t detonate it.
I mean her kit looks good, but if u saying Kafka + BS will become some OP af team, nope. It’s improvement for current best DOT team, but not as much as u think. Basically for current version, Kafka and BS don’t really need each other, but they still work as a team.
I did the math and you need 120 effect hit rate for the max 72% damage buff, since 60% of 120 is 72
oh just noticed. she use a new nihility trace materials. guess i can max trace guinaifen immediately if i ever got her, hopefully shes in black swan banner.
wait really? guess im in the same boat as u then lol, been wasting some resin on nihility traces…
