When is the buff? At this point, she would just be a weaker Jingyuan.
Reasons to pull, personally:
1. Rainden Mei fan;
2. Goated animation and interesting kit;
3. Instant kill enjoyer, similar to the ability from Sakamoto Ryuji (P5r), which is very helpful in exploration.
Planning to pull E0S0, because her stacks mainly come from 3 allies. E2S1 being powerful but totally out of my budget. I’d rather pull 3 other E0S0s instead.
I bet hoyo will make another 5* Nihility to support Acheron in 2.x, maybe big Pela or big SW. It’s rumored to be named Jiaoqiu. Now the existing 2 Nihility supports already look dated, compared to the busted Harmonys.
Still, IMO Acheron is already strong and will become even stronger, just like Kafka waiting for her Black Swan.
Does her instakill technique also provide instant mob drops, also can I ask how it works?
1. I think so
2. We don’t know yet, but I assume it based on enemy level
Who is stronger? Her or JY with Sparkle?
I know she has limited LC options and actually need S1 to be good, but at e0s1, can she compete with JY now?
I just realized that she is just a weaker Jing Yuan. Her ult is just a slower Lightning Lord.
Maybe we really need those e2s1 to match him.
Imo about comparison of 5 star lightning DPS Acheron vs Jingyuan (beside Kafka ofc cz she is different playstyle):
1. lv 10 ult in total with her/his base kit is around:
– E0S0 Acheron = 392% Atk * 190% dmg bonus = 745% dmg++
– E0S0 JY = 825% Atk * 1.25 cdmg bonus = 1031% dmg++
both backloaded playstyle
thing is:
1. Acheron
+ Acheron ult ignore weakness type
+ maybe able to control her ult at 2nd cycle and so on, unless all of the debuffer in team build speed to make her ult twice in 0c bcz u will sacrifice sustain if use harmony with DDD in her team, in other word mybe her ult easier to control than JY LL im not sure tbh
+ Her backload damage is manual to trigger (easier to control)
– E0 Acheron team only able to choose 1 either 1 harmony or 1 sustain (preservation/abundance), If sacrifice 1 nihility for 1 harmony/sustain directly sacrifice 45% damage and less 1 debuffer for her stack. Better to bring 2 nihility like SW+Pela/Guinaven.
– E0 definitly make her team restricted
2. JY
+ JY dmg scale of kit base is ~40% more stronger than Acheron
+ only need sparkle/TY/Topaz which is more versatile
– if JY got Crowncontrolled by enemy, team will lose a lot of damage in a cycle, but nowadays it is not a problem anymore because very easy to fix with cleanser/sustainer, like 4 star Lynx as a free 4 star unit available in game
– his image in past(before sparkle arrive) is not nice for most community (which majority of meta toxicness)
– His backload damage is automatic to trigger (hard to control)
conclusion:
i think both will make player feel difficult to achieve 0c (or new Personal Record), bcz backloaded playstyle is pain when facing multi HP bar bosses/enemy.
unlike blackswan also backloaded playstyle type, but she is much easier to control with lot of manual dot enabler like Kafka, E4 Sampo, Gui Ult, Luka etcetera etcetera.
thats just my opinion, enlight me if was wrong, n im not a native english btw
Her base kit not counting the stat traces will be 1157.2 assuming enemy has 0 lightning res so the 20% res reduct is effectively 20% dmg mult. The main things of note for her is that her trace that requires 2x other nihility units is a final damage multiplier , meaning it is multiplicative to everything.
yes 20% more dmg from res reduction for acheron, btw im looking the wrong lv its for lv 15,, but still the same,, the result is Jingyuan ~40%-20%= +20% more damage, and more versatility for hyperspeed harmony to achieving better cycle.
sparkle existence is simply making JY is enough for lightning DPS at this point, just made me think twice saving for Acheron.
Hmm looks like ill just skip her. Dont want to build critdmg units. Just gonna wait for the third DoT 5star whenever that is.
Yeah I think the DoT playstyle is gonna be solid for most kinds of content. I can’t think of any mechanisms that might make it not viable… but maybe hoyo will cook up something in the future. If you have standard dps chars already, Acheron isn’t necessary unless you really like her imo
Alice you enjoying Triple mommies team a lots, that’s nice, but i reject my humanity! Alice!! am going for Quadruple mommies with Acheron…!
Good luck anon for your Acheron pulls!
Good luck upon you Alice, thank you!
I love Acheron’s art and animation, but i cannot for the life of me, recommend this hero based on the current state.
Reasons to pull
1. Superb art and animation
2. You enjoy the challenge of making her work
3. If you fulfil all her conditions already:
List of conditions
1. Pela built (Most efficient debuffer IMO, as she also provides 10% EHR to your team)
2. Or Silverwolf built efficiently
3. Or have a Silverwolf Lightcone
4. You plan to pull Adventurine (for slot efficiency? as he can debuff with his ultimate)
5. You plan to pull at least E2S1 (Reducing the 3rd Nihiliy requirement, and able to get up to 3 stacks per Archeron turn)
6. You have a good harmony char to synchronise the setup
Reasons not to pull
1. I remember when Silverwolf/Seele was a thing, and having to wait for her to land that quantum weakness debuff before your team can be online is frustrating (I cannot imagine tying an ultimate condition to 9 actions of debuff infliction from the team)
2. Having her at E0 only is just painful, you have to wait for at least 9 actions of debuff before she can ultimate, and that is assuming you land all 9 debuff per action
3. If you don’t have Pela built, you have to build Pela with 57% EHR, before you can start building Acheron
4. Pela will need to be at E4 before her skill can land a debuff (you can of course, use Silver Wolf’s LC to ensure her normal attack lands a debuff too)
5. As you will build Archeron with Crit Rate and Crit Dmg with no EHR, she may have a chance not to land her own debuffs from her LC, reducing ultimate uptime
Don’t get me wrong, I love Archeron’s art and animation, but for me personally, she’s just going to be an animated wallpaper on my PC
I wouldn’t say E2 is a “necessary” condition for Acheron to be good, and also you don’t need EHR for her lightcone debuff. Also for the Siverwolf problem, the lightning weakness implant doesn’t really matter that much for Acheron’s ult as it has res pen, meaning she can brute force pretty well. Other than that I’d agree that she’s in a pretty wonky state. I think they need to lower the stack requirement to like 7 and adjust the E’s and traces around that. Might make her a bit more viable for F2Ps and low-spenders.
Acheron’s signature light cone has no base chance, its a guaranteed hit effect
Ahh thanks for this! 1 point into the direction of “Reasons to pull” !
As for my opinion
I think Acheron is very worth pulling if you like her, so here’s my argument to each of your points
“conditions: ”
1. Pela is probably one of the easiest characters to build, only needing spd, ehr and err
2. you don’t specify what “efficiently” means so I’ll just assume you mean built silver wolf, this one is kinda valid since sw is by far the biggest debuffer currently available, so I’d recommend using her with acheron. however, Guinaifen is a decent f2p replacement and will at least get the job done
3. Resolution Shines is a 4* cone that also applies a debuff on Pela’s NA
4. Aventurine, Gallagher, Gepard, or any preservation with the trend lc work for this purpose
5. E2S1 is absolutely not necessary to have fun nor clear content
6. Same as the above point, but if you do get E2 then Ruan Mei I think would be your best option
“reasons not to pull:”
1. Acheron ignores weakness type during her ult, so applying the correct weakness is at most a 10% res decrease, its not a requirement
2. 9 actions of debuffing means Acheron should be getting ult more or less every other turn Assuming her allies are her speed (and tbh I see no reason to build spd on her so they’ll be faster), which imo puts her in a similar place as jing yuan, who does 2 turns of acceptable dmg followed by a nuke
Also most debuffs should be guaranteed unless you don’t build ehr on your debuffers
3. Again, I find Pela one of the easiest characters in the game to build and play
4. Using Resolution Shines and Basic atk spamming works
5. Her LC has no base chance, its a guaranteed proc
feel free to correct me on anything I got wrong
I decided to skip Acheron because using up the 10 fuels from Sparkle’s gift to farm the pioneer set I ended up getting nothing useful. Not even one single piece useful.
That’s rough… I’ve been farming that domain for weeks and the best crit ratio I can get is 50:90. Seems like its cursed. Plus farming for the new planar set for her is gonna be a pain I just know it. So tempting to use the self-modelling resin…
I’m not making this decision out of anger or impatience but this experience reminded me of how painful and boring it is to farm relics for crit DPS. It’s a bottomless sinkhole of stamina. I may end up play with whatever I already have.
I feel you, I started relic farming late (and I’m delaying it because I got 300 standard wishes Himeko, so I’m farming her traces) and I don’t have a single piece for Acheron yet. I’m still on pulling for her, I’ll give her an old 4p Thunder set I have from Serval building leftovers. (unbalanced but it will do the job for lack of anything better.)
Yeah… 10 fuel and i got nothing at all too… still getting her, by rule of probability crit build should having more odds of getting quality rolls, you shouldn’t give up on relic yet.
What? Is she coming tomorrow?
No obv not but relic farming is a massive pain
Ye Relic farming is a pain in the ass in general. Even when I was farming relics for Blackswan it took me ages untill I got a decent set with EHR% and ATK% subs (not a single SPD sub). The funny thing was, the follow up set gave me insane crit value relics that made me level up Dr, Ratio…
Now the pain for Acheron and getting at least serviceable Relics for her has been going for a couple of weeks.
I am still planning on getting her along with her LC, but Sparkle’s utility got me actin unwise.. I have E1 Bronya and E1 RM, E6 Ting and E2-3 Hanya and E4 Asta Built (The last two share a relic build) for Harmony, and Seele, JY, Kafka and BS, Jingliu, Ratio and Blade for DPS.
Would it be more beneficial for me to get Acheron and her LC, or get Sparkle and just get Acheron? I have SW and S6 Pela with RSAPS at S3 fwiw. I feel like I have enough Harmony, but Sparkle is said to Enable ATK boots on everyone..
That’s a pretty long list of DPSes, you have every element but physical and fire covered, and have 2 lightning DPSes, so Acheron doesn’t add anything special to your account
Imo a harmony is better in general than another DPS, so definitely Sparkle, but ofc pull who you prefer
As for who benefits from Sparkle for you:
Seele, Jing Yuan and Blade are all very capable of working with her, Ratio too assuming you don’t have Topaz. Jingliu doesn’t gain as much and Kafka doesn’t want Sparkle
overall Sparkle would be a very good option for you
Thanks for the tip. Neglected to mention I have E2S1 Clara, but I don’t really count her as a DPS..
If you have E1+, her skill can do immense damage so I’d say she can work quite well with Sparkle
and she gets 100% uptime on the crit dmg buffs
Zzzzz
Just lost early Sparkle early 50/50 to Bailu, so I guess I’ll be getting Acheron… Can someone help me out?
1. She needs 9 stacks for her ult to be used, from what I understand she gets stacks when debuffs are applied, yeah?
2. I only have Welt’s LC, and it’s like a worse GNSW so it should be good right?
3. People have said Pela + Silverwolf is her best team, but how much ahead is it from Acheron+Welt(sustain with pearls)+SW(or pela if aoe)+ RM? Is the 90%~ def shred more valuable than the RM boosts for her?
4. How far ahead is she of a good built Jing Yuan, since both of their kits seems to be focused around backloaded damage?
1.yes, any type of debuffs(def shred spd shred dots etc…)
2.Welts LC is okay
3.acherons kit gives her so much damage % that shes gonna gaim more from debuffed enemies rather than buffing herself even further
4.as far as we know, shes the best dps in the game so a good built acheron with a decent team can dish out significantly a lot more damage than jing yuan
Imo about comparison of 5 star lightning DPS Acheron vs Jingyuan (beside Kafka ofc cz she is different playstyle):
1. lv 10 ult in total with her/his base kit is around:
– E0S0 Acheron = 392% Atk * 190% dmg bonus = 745% dmg++
– E0S0 JY = 825% Atk * 1.25 cdmg bonus = 1031% dmg++
both backloaded playstyle
thing is:
1) yes, one stack per action (even if multiple debuffs are made in 1 action); her skill is counted seperately.
2) GNSW is much better since S5 GNSW gives 72% dmg bonus while welt LC gives 24 dmg and 24 atk% only
3) Have to be tested though but welt is SP and ult energy req heavier than pela/SW (to deal debuffs) and you would want Archeron to use skill every turn. Have to test it out though but likely not ideal in longer fights.
4) Not sure but should be much better since Archeron Ult ignores weakness type and she produce more reliable dmg; but Archeron is tied to a very specific team unless you E2S1 her, her best other team mate will be Sparkle or Bronya which she can then ult every 1.5 turn or so.
about the team,it’s not that much worse, yes pulling silver wolf is good but the welt team is still good, and yes welts lights cone is decent so don’t worry, and about the last point,eh I don’t think comparing the two is a good idea
but she might compete with him,he wasn’t that great before topaz anyways but now he’s very good
1. Yeah, she gets stacks when debuffs are applied but for other characters the max amount of stacks they can generate for Acheron per turn is 1. For example if you have SW and she inflicts 3 debuffs you only get 1 stack. FUA count as separate turns and can generate stacks outside of that characters turn, for example Kafka FUA. BS can also generate stacks for Acheron when she inflicts arcana when a new enemy appears.
2. Welt LC is okay, but GNSW S5 is a better option. The EHR from Welt’s LC is a wasted stack, and the atk% buff is only active during the skill whereas most of Acheron’s dmg is from her ult. Acheron’s LC imo is mandatory if you want her to perform really well, the dmg difference between s0 and s1 is big. Not to mention her LC also applies a debuff meaning Acheron can generate 2 stacks per skill, meaning she gets her ult faster. If you have jades left over I really recommend you try for LC at least.
3. I haven’t done the math for this but using welt sustain is probably a better option at e0 imo. Sustain Welt opens up a harmony slot, which increases her damage dramatically, this is one of the only ways to get around the 2 nihility requirement while using a harmony character. If you know how to use Welt Sustain then imo I think this is one of the best f2p setup. Although I would prefer fast Bronya or Sparkle over RM though. Using either one of those 2 lets you ignore building SPD on Acheron and allows you to focus all into CR/CD/ATK%.
4. IMO Acheron is better than Jing Yuan. She is like Jing Yuan + Argenti + Xueyi. Her ability to ignore weakness on toughness bars means she can brute force a lot of content more efferently than brute force Jing Yuan. They both do share similar weaknesses though. For example their LC is miles better than other F2P options (Acheron’s being much more restrictive with options), and backloaded damage that can be affected by CC. If JY gets CC’d your LL does less damage, if Acheron or anyone on the team gets CC’d your ult goes off later. Acheron’s advantage though is that her ult will always be full dmg before you need to restack and she can control when she ults, whereas with JY there are times when you will have completely wasted LLs, either you don’t hit 10 stacks and do less dmg, or you get 10 stacks but it goes off on like a 1hp trash mob.
