  1. I’ve been out of the loop about this entire patch, is tribbie actually just as universal as ruan mei? I also heard she can compete with robin is this true, I’m very impressed if this is legit

  2. crazy that no one is complaining about her technique not casting her E and giver her 30 energy only to make one of her traces useless. Its essentially a ruan mei technique with extra steps.

  3. V3 Tribbie was the best Harmony, surpassing Robin in every team you can think of (even fua, red flag!). But, now, hotfixed V4. Robin has successfully protected her niche.

Still, I’d argue that fua feels almost like Erudition since they hit so often. This’s why Fei is good in PF despite ST (carried by small Herta btw). What does it mean? Fua teams now can charge her ult nearly as quickly as Aoe teams, except Therta who’s in another league. Tribbie now can still compete in Robin’s niche, and don’t forget Jade + small Herta! Tribbie may, if not will, replace Robin there. Even in non-fua ST, right after V4 she’s just a bit short of energy to use ult again after a rotation. With this change, her uptime is practically 100%. Can Robin achieve that?

Another point, she can now charge her ult fast af boy, as a Harmony. It’s a perfect recipe of DDD. Spamming DDD, Tribbie makes 100% teamwide AA… not a selling point of Robin. She now approaches level of Robin in 0 cycles.

Robin mains were very… umm… when they saw Tribbie nerfed to Sparkle level. Now, the table has turned. David was just wanna balancing around her. “Call me the ambulance… [show 1.5 energy for each target hit] but not for me.” With a short period of time, David has baited many people to pull for Robin. Feel sorry for those who were FOMO’d; you didn’t deserve this trickery 😔. He has many predatory targets to punish now.

I don’t think, at this point, there’s no reason to pull for Robin now, except for some very niche fua teams. Just get Tribbie, (arguably, for now) your best Harmony, your best 0 cycler you can have, and your best future proof char (atk buffer is dead).

    • Her buff value at E0 isn’t even close to Ruan Mei’s level. In terms of universality, Ruan Mei beats her, and she’s also slow, so she won’t generate as much SP. In an HP-scaling meta, what’s stopping you from using RMC, Sunday, and Ruan Mei? In an attack-scaling meta, we have Robin, Sunday, Ruan Mei, and Sparkle. The only team she’s dominating is AoE teams, which I know is the meta right now. But don’t pretend she’s a must-pull when you have so many alternatives. If people pull her expecting her to outperform every other Harmony unit at E0, I’d suggest they just skip her if they already have Ruan Mei. However, at higher investment, she’s definitely broken and the current best Harmony unit. Personally, I think she’ll age as poorly as Sparkle, and there will be better options in the future. When the meta changes, her value will only get worse. As of right now, she’s just a unit designed to bait people into pulling for Eidolons and her LC that’s it. She’s definitely not a must-pull, and skipping her won’t brick your account.

      • Tribbie is boosting damage more then Ruan Mei in any team with DMG% >= 95%. She also deals damage all the time with her Field + FuAs and has 100% uptime on her buffs once they’re online, which automatically makes her better than RM in crit teams.

Robin wins in damage boosting, has uptime issues on her ult and deals less damage than Tribbie, but wins in most ATK scaling teams due to her Action Advance.

Whether Tribbie is better than Robin and RM is entirely team dependent, they’re sidegrades for casual players, just pick what you like.

Also people said the EXACT SAME THING for Robin, we’ll see how fast mfs are asking for a rerun lol

  4. Mini hotfix came in and long story short: It’s to make her ult uptime better.

Bad thing though: This assumes content is PF tier when it comes to aoe shilling. You might think all is dandy because MOC and everything now is hard aoe check, but do take in note that meta shifts. Papa Hoyo can wake up one day and decide that hard aoe units like erudition should go back to PF, while making content less aoe. Which brings the issue with Tribbie back.

Summary for those who still don’t get it: She is PF support. She will be fine as long as content is like PF i.e. giving bunch of enemies. The moment content stops doing that and switches back more to the normal that was before 3.0, then she is cooked.

      • Yea, but difference here vs then is that she had unlimited FUA based on allies spamming ults. In theory, even if aoe shilling went away, it would be fine as long as you bring ult spammers. Ult spamming = more FUA = more energy for herself too.

This way though, it’s way too reliant on content to keep being very aoe oriented to hit more enemies for more energy. Especially when her FUA is restricted to only 1 per unit’s ult until she herself ults to reset it. Making her extremely ult reliant for her FUA compared to back then.

Even with buffed er for her, Robin-like ult charging based on others attacking, aoe shilling content itself, there are times in which her ult might be rotation late. This can turn into bigger problem with content going less aoe and one is delusional to think this won’t happen. Content is hard aoe now because they are trying to sell you erudition characters (THerta), but as always, it switches up. What then? Tribbie on DDD is crazy now, but what then? When enemy lineup is smaller? That one potential rotation late can turn into something that you will feel a lot.

This is why I put up my post there to explain it. If their reason for pulling Tribbie might be because they are expecting next Ruan or Robin, they have to take in note that she is those things, but for as long as aoe shilling content allows it. Without it, she is way worse off than them outside of their comfort shilling content.

  5. Does anyone know if her E1 only counts damage from a specific attack or total damage dealt in the round of that attack? Like would the additional damage from Tingyun, Robin’s ult, or Ruan Mei’s talent(if the attack breaks) also count towards the total or only the damage from the attacker themselves?

  6. Idk why people are so upset, most characters can’t ult faster than once per 2 turns anyways.

Also meshing cogs will still enable you to ult within 2 turns so I also don’t get why people are complaining about that.

This balancing change is actually very fair as it keeps serval, argenti, etc. from becoming overpowered, now future and current erudition/destruction units that ult within 2 turns will be on an even playing field with serval, argenti, and other 1-turn ult characters. And there is still an advantage to ult every turn as opposed to every 2 turns as it will double the additional damage triggers and double The Herta’s energy gain from the erudition character.

Some people will be upset but this is just balancing. They did this with Jiaoqiu and people freaked out about that one, but he ended up being incredibly powerful for Acheron. I still use Jiaoqiu to this day. So pleeeease stop throwing a hissy fit every time they make the tiniest of changes, Tribbie is still the most powerful crit buffer for Erudition/Destruction crit characters.

    • Because less aoe follow-up atk on Tribbie is less energy for The Herta which would lower her possible damage because it’s less possible enhanced skill. This stop The Herta from dominating all game modes and lowering other dps by at least one tier, which is saddening for the fact that hsr only could survive because powercreep is present

The only place where I brought up her own ult rotation was with meshing cogs as she can still ult within 2 turns with meshing cogs, even with the follow-up atk cap.

true that most characters can only ult once every 2 turns but you are missing the point that tribbie would most likely be built on slow builds (her base spd is even 96 ) and by the time tribbie can ult again your other character probably have gone 2-4 times already

          • Tribbie can ult in 2 turns so you’ll get the trigger reset before you reach your fourth ult. Idk, I’ll test her when I get her and I’ll see if I can exceed the trigger cap with Jade, Herta, The Herta, or Lingsha. If I can’t, then the 3 FuA limit wouldn’t really matter.

    • I have to make a follow-up here. I understand that these changes lower her max potential, but I’m trying to make the point that this makes her more balanced. It really doesn’t matter as she can still enable you to clear the phase within 3 or 4 cycles. Like y’all are getting mad over a tiny nerf. Like it’s literally one less follow-up atk.

  7. Correct me If I’m wrong but her E4 that Deals increase additional dmg & deal additional instance of dmg, in V3 was it 1 additional instance for EVERY instance? (hard to see in most vids as the dmg is always summed & I can’t be bothered to do the math.) or is it only 1 additional instance of “add dmg” as it states now.

Also they swapped her E2 & E4. Kinda sad, was aiming for e4 either way but now if I get unlucky with my 55%, Im gonna miss that def ignore.

I’m tired of all the doomposting, I’ve been able to clear MoC, PF, and AS with max stars ever since I got Feixiao so don’t act like this game is hard. Just get the characters with the playstyles and/or the designs you like and stop getting pissy every time they give a strong character a tiny nerf.

  9. E1S1 Robin or E0S1 Tribbie? What’s the difference? What does Tribbie provide that Robin (at E1) cannot? Only thing I can think of is just the *slightly* higher potential for AoE damage, meaning Tribbie would provide more value in teams using Destruction or Erudition units but I’m not sure if that’s worth getting a limited character over.

    • While I agree with JayZee above, but you know, 3B-she literally got trouble with her ultimate (which can be solved if you pull for her sig.) But at E0 she doesn’t even do that much (tried for E1 bait), you can’t even put her in play with that so-called “any squad” because you literally playing in PF/AP/MoC content and literally not “any squad” because meta doesn’t need it, especially after V4 nerf, Feixiao doesn’t need her, Acheron doesn’t need her, and the Herta can just use Sunday with High speed (better than slowpoke harmony.), in which Robin is a god (I don’t suggest you to pull for Robin sig tho.)
