Topaz keeps getting better as time goes on. The more FuA characters come out, the more valuable she becomes. Looking forward to someone better than Ratio to unlock her potential.
Following the Feixiao V1 leaks, all I can say is that Topaz aficionados can’t stop winning.

question, with her skill, does it means Numby’s attack will deal 150% + 50% DMG, or 150% + (50% of 150%) ?

50% more damage received, it stacks with the rest of dmg received debuffs and caleculated apart (so kinda 150% + (50% of 150%))
if u got welt he gives 12% all dmg received debuff so it would mean extra 62% dmg in total from follow ups
I pull her as emotional support for JY & clara.
If you talk about relic i use 4p quantum for 10%def shred, 10%more shred against quantum weakness.
dont even say its dps loss.
Cuz I broke ,no more TBZ power.
To all doomsayers – Topaz is absolutely conditionally amazing
If you have expected ungabunga, one purpose only, eat all SP, hypercarry level of damage – well then you are bound to be disappointed OFC…. because she is something completely different
She can be debuffer, off-dps, or even main dps with either SP neutral or even positive play style.
Also she is far from her peek performance as she is missing her relic set (should arrive next patch) and probably most people are missing her optimal team members. And she will get better and better with each new folllowup char added to the game.
That being said – even now she has quite optimal team available, but it is hidden behind quite a big RNG wall:
Topaz (duh) 🙂
Clara – best followup char in the game as of now – even E0 she is monster and if you have been lucky enough to loose 50:50 for her twice and have her E1…..omg…. change her build to speed boots and witness absolute mayhem.
Lynx (even at E0 she works just fine) – best sustain for Clara – cast E on her at the start and enjoy continuous stream of counters .
Asta (preferably E6 – if you play from start there is good chance you have her) – is monster by herself, but her synergies with Topaz & E1 Clara are catapulting her even higher.
And this is just one of the absolutely amazing teams Topaz is enabling – it is save to say she is what Kafka is to DoT teams – but she is in much better position then Kafka as follow up options are much better then DoT options now.
So do not sleep on her!

She is amazing, I agree with your point, though, she was the characters with actually no doomsayers on these pages, our only point was, that she didn’t get any buffs during the beta compare to Jingliu massives changes, that’s all.
I am still pulling for Topaz.
I plan to NOT unlock her major trace that makes her basic atk become follow up atk.
With that, it probably will make numby able to get most atk buff except only when Topaz need to use her skill.

Well, you lose 2.7% CR and 3.2% fire dmg for litteraly nothing, only for her to be somewhat SP positive, but, keep in mind, that you also lose a massive chunk of her damage due to her skill-talent combination where she gets 2 follow-up attack at the cost of 1 SP, she’s one of the most efficient damage dealer in that regard.
And if you want to avoid this case of losing the buff, just use 2Pc grand duke, 2pc fire, it’s calc’d at around 4% of what can achieve 4pc Grand duke, so it’s still pretty good, and you can be SP positive.
so using all of my banked pulls, I got an E6 Clara (only 1 clara copy, she showed up a lot for me before) and E1 Topaz out of the banner, so lucky right (I agree)? Well Clara was my first unit built, so now checking her relics, they are total trash (all main stats are fine (I think, Crit rate body, Atk shoes, phys % sphere, atk rope), but almost all sub stats rolled into Def%, and all of my Topaz relic I pre farmed (I know she has a better set next update), are also looking kinda rough (my crit ratio right now is 55% / 90%, with none of my remaining relics having crit rate sub stats), so welcome me back to the relic hell, (not to mention Guin’s sets), any suggestions on who I should focus on right now.
Congrats on E6, still hoping for Clara’ E6 too but sitting at E1 right now, so no way I’m going to get it soon.
As for relics farming, seeing that the new set is coming in 1.5, you should start with a relic farm for Clara, deconstruct the piece you don’t need and stack the ressources, then you can have a little head-start in 1.5 with synthesis for Topaz, unless you want to do it all over again for Topaz once we hit 1.5.
So who’s using her with Asta and Himeko? I’d love any feedback from that mono pyro team. I’m still debating because of how niche that setup is.
