TitleText
n/aA member of the Masked Fools. Inscrutable and unscrupulous.
A dangerous maestro of theatrics, utterly engrossed in the art of performance. Adorned with innumerable masks, she is the hero with a thousand faces.
Wealth, status, power... None of those matters to Sparkle. The only thing that can get her attention is "amusement."
n/aThe girl, an abandoned orphan, lived without knowledge of her origins or destination until she encountered a passing troupe. From a distance, she watched a black-haired lady with a double ponytail, gracefully moving across the stage like a fish. Despite donning various masks, they did not hinder her laughs and cries during her performance, captivating the audience even from afar. The fish leaped in front of her, then dove back down, creating ripples in the surface of the water.

Gradually, she realized she was watching the performance from beneath the stage.

Intrigued, she continued to watch the performances for countless days, but she remained an audience member, never stepping into the spotlight. After one of the shows ended, she went backstage, where the black-haired lady handed her a mask.
"Can I perform, too?"
"Why not? If others believe you are 'Sparkle,' then you are. Go, it's time for your show."

As the curtain, serving as the fourth wall, was drawn, the stage remained dimly lit, revealing an unsettling black void. Though wearing a mask, she knew the audience could see and hear her. She kept recalling Sparkle's performance, imitating her movements, voice, and demeanor.

"You've done very well for your first time."
"But my imitation... Was not perfect."
"That is a minor hiccup, but not a problem as long as nobody notices the difference... By the way, we are leaving tomorrow, so for as long as you want, you are the true Sparkle here, and you can make her whoever you want her to be."

Sparkle wanted to say something, but the lady affectionately rubbed her head.
"Not many people come to see us, except for you. We're just a small troupe, and we don't have grand aspirations of becoming famous in the cosmos... It brings me joy to meet someone like you who will remember an insignificant character named Sparkle... Don't cry, you can keep this mask. Now it's yours."
Sparkle nodded.
"When you don this mask, you have the power to become anyone and no one... If you truly aspire to be an actor, don't limit yourself to this small stage. Set your sights on the larger world and explore new horizons."
n/aAs the last descendant of the Puppet Clan, the girl lacked the freedom to choose. She was bound to live her life according to the dictates of the mask, as puppets were mere vessels for the masks.

According to their legend, the longer a puppet dons a mask, the higher the chances of the puppet acquiring a soul, resembling a true human. However, in human folklore, masks were depicted as tools used for resurrecting the deceased, thus leading to the dwindling numbers of her people.

However, as she had no interest in becoming human, being a doll was not an unfavorable choice for her. She dutifully obeyed the commands of the mask, despite the risk of attracting pursuers, as defying the mask proved to be challenging.

Movement was a crucial aspect.
By the will of the mask, she needed to smile sweetly when happy, hold her forehead while crying, grit her teeth when angry, narrow her eyes when jealous, and make a scene when in despair. There were also signature gestures, such as raising her eyebrows slightly to face others with the left side of her face, and raising her hand to express love, although she had to lower it later, as slightly biting her lower lip was the way to convey her true desires.

Voice was another aspect.
Depending on the situation, her voice needed to be cheerful when happy, mellifluous when expressing lyrical emotions, calm and assertive when making statements, strained when harboring hatred, and sorrowful when filled with grief.

Remarkably, she managed to sustain this way of life for years, seamlessly blending into her surroundings and even becoming a playwright. Nobody ever suspected that she wore a mask. However, she couldn't help but wonder if there existed another type of "mask" in the world — perhaps someone wearing such a mask would laugh when seeking revenge, shed tears when smiling, remain silent when raging... And speak the most sarcastic remarks with the utmost calmness.

Naturally, she couldn't do this due to the will of the mask, but as a playwright, making her characters on stage act like this was easy for her.

One morning, the doorbell rang, but it wasn't her usual delivery person at the door.
"Dear Miss Sparkle, I wonder if we could have a chat?"
"We have read your latest work, and we're curious if you know anything about the 'Mask'..."

n/aThe faceless girl realized that she must be under some kind of curse. Why else couldn't she feel any stimuli? Her sense of pain, taste, and smell were all intact, yet she was unable to react to them. Naturally, she couldn't experience joy, anger, sadness, or a range of emotions. She could only strive to observe others' reactions in various situations to understand their feelings.

"...How would you feel if you were drinking a cup of bitter tea? How would you drink it?"
Although tied to the chair and immobilized, the homeless man on the left made an appreciative gesture and nodded. The girl in the middle immediately cried and shook her head in denial, while the madam on the right wrinkled her nose in disgust.

"What if you were in an extremely cold hut, with only this cup of tea at hand?"
Naturally, the man nodded. The girl cried for a while and then reluctantly accepted, while the lady still reacted in disgust.

She continued to change her scenarios and ask questions day and night until her interviewees passed out. She would send them home and seek out new targets for her "interviews."

During that time, the town's inhabitants all had the same nightmare. They found themselves trapped in a place where a blurred-faced young girl politely asked them questions, and they had no choice but to answer. They could only provide responses repeatedly until the young girl meticulously recorded every detail on paper masks, one after another. Whenever a mask was filled, it was replaced by another.

This nightmare was soon replaced by another, as residents claimed to see paper masks flying through the air in the middle of the night. The masks would talk to each other, faintly glowing before eventually fading out, resembling sparklers in the night sky. They appeared every night, as if they were residents living in the shadow of the town.

In a dark basement, a young lady remained unaware of this nightmare. She had gathered enough information about people's nuanced emotions and their perceptions of different things... To make more paper masks. She firmly believed that although she possessed no emotions, the masks she created had flesh and blood. She even believed that one day, they would become real beings.
n/a"There are a few versions that are particularly popular." When Sparkle arrived at Fool's Tavern, she admitted her deeds. "Liking and believing are two different things, but people are more likely to believe in their favorite stories."

"Lies? Come on, I'm not trying to tell a grand story or fabricate an eye-catching experience... I'm wholeheartedly exercising my imagination for my own sake. I imagine various lives, seek excitement, and then recreate them as best I can, and pump the brakes on my imaginative balloon just a second before it bursts."

"Seriously, having a script is far from enough. First and foremost, I must wholeheartedly believe that the character I'm portraying truly exists. Then, I need to imagine the other stories where the character would appear. I always need extra information to make their motivation logical and emotional."

"And only then will I feel I can grasp the essence of the character without being influenced by others. After all, I might encounter other Fools, and I won't know what they want until I know who they are. Sometimes, you simply like the appearance of a character, and sometimes, you just want to experience it for fun. I do that sometimes, too."

"And of course, there are those who play solely for the sake of gain or to be regarded in that way, hoping for unimaginable wealth, status, or power... Anyway, what I'm trying to convey is that in such an environment, who but myself can guarantee that I won't stray from my intended path and become a character in someone else's story? Nobody! That's why I have to tirelessly imagine and immerse myself in the act."

"No, I'm not denying it... It's truly addictive to me. The more I imagine, the more I get absorbed in those characters, the wonderful and tragic situations I create for them, and the emotions they experience in those circumstances..."

"Sure, I used to think about that kind of life... Joining a troupe, becoming an actor, traveling to unknown planets for performances, creating a character with my own name on it... But then, one day, I had a sudden realization!"

"If you want to perform, is there a stage more captivating than your own life?"

    • You want her to be as fast as possible, so speed set. If you’re building Seele with her and want to go with the 2x Seele turns per Sparkle turn, don’t get sub stats tho and make sure Seele goes SP neutral rotation. Skill, Normal, Skill, Normal ect ect. (The 20% advance from her normal keeps her in check.) Ofc you have to make sure Seele has enough speed to do it as well.

  1. A4: “The CRIT DMG Boost effect provided by the Skill lasts until the start of this unit’s next turn.”

Which unit does “this unit” refer to? Sparkle herself or the unit targeted by the skill?

    • I thought things over and it’s most likely based on the buffed Unit’s turn. What A4 does is it changed from counting down at the end of the turn, to instead at the start of the next turn. This allows her to be FUA friendly since often those attacks occur outside the unit’s own turn.

      To give an example:
[ Sparkle E > JY+ > LL+ > Sparkle ] means the LL in between still benefits from the buff (unlike Bronya) and if you didn’t use Sparkle’s skill again after that, then the buff runs out come JY’s next turn.

      • No, you were right the first time. It’s Sparkles turn, it means she has 100% up time, as the buff does not ware off until she can reapply it.

        • Actually, not even that. As it makes it sound like it ends at the start of their turn and they don’t get the buff at all other than for FUA. If it was until their turn AFTER their next turn it would say something like.

“The CRIT DMG Boost effect provided by the Skill lasts until the start of the buffed unit’s 2nd turn.”

      • @Reina I thought of the 100% uptime at first too. But with the buff ticking down with Sparkle’s turn, I think there’s room for *some* exploit if your unit is either faster than Sparkle, or can use *other* turn advancements (whether innate or some other method e.g. SU effects).
Not to mention the Skill *is* usable on Sparkle herself, hence the A4 wording has to be generalized so it can still refer to *other* units, not just Sparkle. Otherwise they will word it specifically.

The key point here game mechanics-wise is that [ the buff only lasts 1 turn ].
Changing how the buff counts down still adheres to that. The effect still lasts “1 turn”, and there are other buffs that count down that way. If we think about it from a game mechanics standpoint, the A4 wording can’t be taken literally the way you mentioned it in your 3rd comment.

It’s already implied that the unit benefits from the buff during their turn, and that through A4 it’s meant to persist afterwards. So if it needs to be reworded, then maybe it’s best to just make that implication explicit:

“The CRIT DMG Boost effect provided by the Skill PERSISTS AFTER THIS UNIT’S TURN and lasts until the start of this unit’s next turn.”

          • Just a question. I’m rather confused, but which leaker said it worked the first way/based on Sparkle’s turn? Wether it’s the first or second way, both have 100% uptime (unless it is the second way/based on the buffed unit’s turn and the buffed unit goes before Sparkle).

If we look at LikelyElio’s MoC 12 showcase with Sparkle, at 5:42 Sparkle uses her skill on QQ, and QQ gets an icon under her with the CDMG buff icon, but the catch is this icon blinks. The icon blinking behaves similarly to other effects when they are about to expire, for example Fu Xuan’s Matrix on its last turn will not blink on other allies’ icons but it will only blink on Fu Xuan’s icon bar. This shows that the ownership of the Matrix effect is Fu Xuan (no shit), and other effects, if not all of them, behave similarly. Luocha’s field will only blink on Luocha, Ruan Mei’s buffs only blink on Ruan Mei etc. So if Sparkle’s CDMG is relative to her turn and not the buffed unit’s turn, why does it blink on the unit and/or why does Sparkle not get an icon? Imo itd be more logical that Sparkle’s buff is given ownership to the buffed unit and because the buffed unit has ownership of that buff, the “this unit” in her trace is actually the buffed unit and the buffs expire on the buffed unit’s second turn.

It gets harder to keep track of the buff’s icon because at 5:44 Qingque starts using her skill and starts gaining a lot of self-buffs; Sparkle’s Buff goes off screen. But, as soon as QQ’s turn ends (5:50), there is a new CDMG buff appearing on QQ. I would say it’s safe to assume it’s Sparkle’s skill buff, since there’s no other CDmg buffs on the team. This exact buff remains on QQ at 5:59 right when Sparkle’s turn begins, yet the buff doesn’t disappear despite Sparkle’s turn starting (the icon would have disappeared if it was the case). Then Sparkle does her basic attack, and she gets a Firework icon (from her LC for recovering a skill point most likely), but QQ’s crit dmg buff is still on screen despite Sparkle’s turn ending.

Unless this “unit’s turn” is Sparkle’s 2nd turn, and/or because the combat ended the icons may not have refreshed properly, just why would it Sparkle’s turn and not the buffed unit’s turn? Either have 100% buff uptime either way, I might just have understanding issues and need some dumbing down, but I absolutely don’t see why it’s Sparkle’s turn.

And another dumb question, but if it is in fact the first way, then couldn’t they just word it as “until Sparkle’s next turn?”

          • They may not have had the trace, or it may just be because the character is unreleased and the finishing touches have not been added yet. Or it may just blink regardless. The buff will never look like it’s on Sparkle because it’s a singular buff on another character nor is it a team wide field like the others you mentioned. Of course fields are going to look different when they are going to expire. But as far as i know, things blink when they are on their last turn. It is still just a 1 turn buff even if it does end on Sparkles turn and the only indicator will be on the buffed ally. It can’t happen on Sparkles turn because the second her turn starts the buff is removed.

          • Having looked more into it via watching some video’s on youtube, it seems my confirmation was wrong. I asked for clarification but it just seems they misunderstood what i was asking. @_@ Sorry about the misinformation. Sparkles descriptions need a bit better clarification. I should have looked before leaving the last comment but i was so confident after being confirmed.

Thanks for pointing it out and correcting my mistake.

          • If anyone is to be blamed, it’s anyone like Mihoyo or the leakers but definitely not you don’t worry xD I was so desperate to found the answer, I ended up finding the leaker(s) who said it’s based on Sparkle’s turn and it got quickly spread on other platforms, and I got even more confused.

Either way, it’s still a 100% uptime unless the DPS that has another turn after the Sparkle buffed turn and before Sparkle’s turn, which I believe only an E2 Seele would be able to achieve; and even if she has an unbuffed turn, she can still have Sparkle’s talent with Cypher, which is already more DMG% boost than an unbuffed Bronya turn. But correct me if I’m wrong regarding this, since you’re definitely the most knowledgeable person about Sparkle. And for other DPS, if they don’t get a turn before Sparkle, then it remains a 100% uptime. So wether it’s based on Sparkle’s turn or the DPS’ turn, there is little to no difference so it’s no big deal and no worries.

I honestly just wish leakers could show character information in their videos to make this all easier, having to peek at the small icons is a pain. But you’re definitely right, even if it’s implied that Sparkle’s buff already lasts a turn of the DPS, the wording is so weird when they could’ve just said “until the beginning of this unit’s second turn” exactly like you said, this would’ve made much more sense.

          • It’s bad for Seele, as Seele is capable of getting an entire extra turn every turn as long as you get the speed and use her normal first and skill second. Sadly because of it ending on Seele’s 2nd turn, you won’t be able to do that rotation anymore and you have to skill first every turn you’re buffed. But no, it does not matter for anyone else since you want Sparkle to be faster anyway while having your DPS focus in other stats instead. .

  2. they really need to buff her up a bit.

after seeing Ruan Mei break in action, especially E6, Hanabi feels a bit lacking?? mathlord can help me understand this maybe? even E2 still feels a bit cheap compared to Ruan Mei E1

    • She does not need to be buffed. She has a higher multiplier while being a speed amplifier for your DPS at the same time. 100 speed DPS become speed demons while using her. Since her advance makes anyone with more than half her speed match her actions. Give her 180 speed and it’s as if your DPS has 180 speed too without speed shoes or sub stats. A higher base character the better her buffs become. RM buffs a char with 2500 attack by 2.5x. Great buffer she really is. But Sparkle buffs your 3500 char by 2.7x AND makes them faster than your char with RM. Sparkle is the better buffer. RM just has something else along woth it. Multipliers are with both at E2 S1.

    • Depends on who you’re buffing. But i’ll just do what i did to find her buff at E2. I’ll assume your DPS has 3k attack with 100% damage bonus and 150% crit damage bonus already. This is higher than average.

      3000 x 2 x2.5 = 15000 total damage per 100%.
Sparkles buffs add 36% of her CD which is Imo on average around 250% so that’s a total of 90 crit damage. After this you add on the extra 16% and the 24% from her LC for a total of 130% crit damage. Along with this she adds 18% damage bonus, and another 40% damage bonus when her ult is active. (Her ult adds 10% per char with cipher.) This adds 58% extra damage. If you have 3 quantum chars the quantum buffs adds another 30% on top of this to make it 88%. (10% more for quantum if you give her that 2/pc set. But i’ll leave this out of that calculation.)

Assuming none quantum, with her buffs your char would have 3k attack with 158% damage bonus and 280% crit damage.

      3000 x 2.58 x 3.8 = 29412 which is a total of 96.5x stronger. Aka 1.965x

With quantum the buffs would instead be 188% damage bonus and 280% crit damage ontop of the 3k attack..

      3000 x 2.88 x 3.8 = 32835 which is a grant total of 119% damage buff. Aka 2.19x.

With E2 and the 2/pc set she becomes a total of 2.7x for quantum. I’d highly recommend getting to E2 with her. At the very least get to E1. Reason being E1 makes her ult have 100% up time along with her skill already having 100% up time. No other buffer in the game atm gives 100% up time on BOTH buffs while at the same time being SP positive..

Along with all of the other stuff. Sparkle gives 50% advance on skill. Which IS NOT an extra turn, but instead renders speed on your DPS redundant. It means your DPS does not want to build into speed AT ALL. Which instead allows you to build heavily into attack to then make Sparkles buffs all the better since she gives 0% attack % buffs, she scales very well with chars that have insanely high attack with lower crit damage and % buffs.

Perhaps you could give Gepard FX LC to help though.

  3. so if you have to choose between ruan mei and sparkle.. who should be more bang for your buck?

btw how do you on MoC 11 12, I got shat on pretty hard. so only 32 stars. it feels like they force you to have premium sustain on both side. lynx, bailu and nat just ain’t enough.. that or you need 0 cycle team with 3-2 premium support on 1 side.

For for RM vs Sparkle. it depends what team you’re using. It’s not that simple. Sparkle is the better buffer, but RM offers more than just buffs.

      • No… Bronya and Sparkle are nothing alike. I would really like if it people read other comments, before posting their own which is not based on correct information.

Even if you buff with Bronya every turn, you have 50% up time 25% up time with her ult. However if you buff every other turn, then you have 25% up time along with the 25% up time for her ult. Bronya’s advance is built to grant an extra turn every turn. But as you only use it 50% of the time, you gain 1 extra turn in 2 turns.

Sparkle has 100% up time as long as you use her correctly. At E1 her ult has 100% up time as well. Sparkles advance puts you on the same turn rotation as her, as such if you give her enough speed, you will literally make your DPS move as often as they do with Bronya.

All of this, with the fact Sparkle gives an overall bigger buff than Bronya does.

    • Both have their own good merit, If you want a useful support in a long run then I think Ruan Mei fit that better than Sparkle, but Sparkle will be good for DHIL/QQ and Quantum in general. Of course depend on your playstyle Sparkle will still work in almost any team that use Crit DPS and would still be better than Ruan Mei for hypercarry damage when at equal E0 level.

For some other aspect other than damage, Ruan Mei helps delaying enemy break cover which act as an extra sustainable mechanic that would help your healer need to do less ( more SP ). Sparkle if not using skill on every turn, would be 2 SP positive with her Ult on 3rd – 4th turn which allow you to spend the SP a bit more freely, I also have a bit of hope about her Advanced mechanic, if it gives 50% per use, then 2nd use probably should give the same buffed char an extra turn in the same cycle, but if it isn’t true then I think use skill once per 2 turn is a better SP managing, or you can put Bronya in and buff Bronya for that huge Cdmg buff as well and then Bronya Ult increase even more cdmg lol ( since she give turn advanced, I think her fastya tech will work with lower requirement )

Lynx is okay on 2nd half, except you need good damage check to make up with the lack of sustain because it is a gamble to when you should use her Ult. I recommend kill the suicide bugs to ensure your safety due to the it AoE CC. And like Reina said, you can try to swap out the team or some of the supports/sustain because I clear faster with the sustains swap place

      • Sparkle DOES want to use her skill every turn. Idk why you think she doesn’t. She has 100% up time on her skill and makes speed redundant on your DPS. This isn’t true if you don’t buff with her every turn. Sparkle wants to skill and the only time she doesn’t is if you fail to manage your SP well enough but that’s on you, not her.

      • Let me fully express what i’m talking about so that there can be no misunderstanding.

The way Sparkles advance works, means if your DPS is not faster than her, then there is 0% chance that your DPS will lever get 2 actions for Sparkles 1 action no matter how many times you advance with her. This means that this advance is NOT an extra turn. If your DPS is a similar speed, then the advance means nothing and you’re just wasting it’s potential.

What you want to do with Sparkle, is have 0 investments into your DPS’s speed stat. As in, you want them to be as slow as posable and to instead invest in the Atk stat. The reason for this, is because unless you’re speed is under half of Sparkles which is literally going to be almost impossible, Sparkle will advance your DPS to be before Sparkles NEXT turn. What this effectivly does is make your DPS match Sparkles speed, while having no speed investment at all. Because for every action Sparkle takes, your DPS also takes that same amount of actions.

What this effective does then, is if you DON’T skill with Sparkle every turn, not ONLY is your DPS not getting buffed for that turn… but they will MISS that entire turn.

TL;DR. If you don’t skill with Sparkle every turn, then you’re taking turns away from your DPS. Which is literally the worst thing you can do in a turn based game.

If you need extra skill points, and i mean REALLY need extra skill points. it is better to skill with Sparkle, and then normal attack with your DPS. Because not only does this mean your DPS still gets their turn on the same time Sparkle does, but literally a normal with Sparkles buff is stronger than a skill without Sparkles buff, unless said skill is already mega enhanced like a 3 SP DHIL. Which is literally why i say, she won’t be as good for DHIL as you think she will be. Tingyun would be better for him than Sparkle is.

      • If your DPS is faster than Sparkle, then extra turns CAN happen, however because Sparkle only advances whatever AV your DPS is at, it means it does far less the closer your DPS is to Sparkles turn. If your DPS is 100 AV away, then Sparkle will lower their AV by 50. However if your DPS is only 20 AV away, she will only advance them by 10. What this does is only give an extra turn every so often. And i mean 1 in 5 turns or so depending on how much faster your DPS is than Sparkle, but because Sparkle is going to be at least 144 speed at MININUM the chances of your DPS being faster at all is pretty low. Due to this, getting attack % shoes and attack % subs instead of speed shoes and speed subs, is far more effective overall for your DPS. And then allowing Sparkle to advance your DPS into the same turn rotation as her with her massive speed. You can literally get to 180 speed on Sparkle while maintaining 250% crit damage.

Seele is pretty much the only character that can do it, and i’ve looked into Seele getting an extra turn every turn for Seele DPS. But this still requires Sparkle to skill every turn, and for Seele to normal every other turn so that she can use her normal’s 20% advance to push her in front of Sparkle’s next turn to get it.

Her Skill has 2 turns duration that mean it open up the option to use other teammate SP more freely ( DHIL + Yukong for example, which was going on in my head ) is what I was referring to, if she is in a team with abundance SP then yea I would use her skill every turn to ensure Energy is enough. As for the boots I was mainly counting on SPD stats first and foremost, ATK boots is an interesting take and would make sense. I will personally test these once I get her later, plus need to see if her kit will get any nerf or buff too. Thanks for the info btw

        • Lol it’s fine. I understand about waiting till she is actually out, but i’ve been waiting since 1.0 for her so i’ve done a LOT of research and wanna share what i know to avoid misinformation as much as possible which is why i’m so active on here atm. The way her advance works does in fact make speed irrelevant on your DPS which is one of the more broken sides of her kit. Now there is a theory that the advance will be complete abandoned and if it is, it will be a major loss to the kit. But hey if it really does get replaced with attack% on top of the crit damage then tbh that’s fine too. As it just replaces the attack % boots you were going to be able to use with her. But i rly hope the advance stays and it’s not the same as Bronya’s at all. Advance in this game has been figured out, and the 50% advance would never work as an extra turn unless your DPS is way faster as to lap Sparkle, which is unlikely and frankly not worth the relic slots for such a little amount of extra turns unless you’re Seele where most of that speed comes for free.

    • Posting this here. She’s not bad. Just stack CRIT DMG but prioritize your Speed breakpoints.

      PASSIVELY … 15% CR (Talent + LC), 10% CDmg (BK 2pc) and 18% DMG + 30% (qua)DMG (your DPS should not be going 1st or 2nd)

ON SKILL … a WHOPPING 139% CDmg (275 * 0.36 + 16 + 24 | Scaling E + Flat E + LC … also note that this can last for practically multiple turns depending on turn manipulation and other Action Forwards (Jingliu, FUAs, Seele Q or E Speed diffs from bonuses etc.))

ON ULT … 4 Skill Points and 30% DMG

this could be a lot higher but the wording is unclear, perhaps 90% or 120% which would make E1 useful, but my bet is on 30%

TECHNIQUE … 1+ skill point start, Team Stealth f.e. Sparkle Tech, then attack with Seele Tech for QUA team

OTHER NOTABLE BUFFS/PASSIVES: 2 Skill Point cap increase, ALWAYS 3-turn ULT with ERR rope

        • Well maybe this will convince you.

          Bronya with Seele
Bronya, Seele, Seele, Bronya, Seele, Seele, Bronya, Seele, Seele. 3 Bronya turns = 6 turns for Seele. In this time Seele is able to skill 6 times for a total of 1290% damage. However, Bronya gives a 2.34x buff to half of these skills, resulting in a new % of 1935. All the while this combo costs your team a grand total of 9 SP. Those SP have to come from somewhere. Hope you have good generators.

          Sparkle with Seele
Sparkle, Seele, Seele, Sparkle, Seele, Seele, Sparkle Seele Seele. Same as above, however for Seele to move 2x within Sparkles turns, she is going to have to normal attack to get her 20% advance from her trace, to push her 2nd turn above Sparkles. In this combo Seele does a grand total of 945%. Now from this it looks pretty bad right? However, you have to remember Sparkles buff lasts for the ENTIRE combo, not just HALF like with Bronya. As a result, Sparkles 2.7x buff makes that 945% turn into a huge 2551.5%. Which is a huge 32% more overall damage multiplier than what Bronya can do with her. Along with this, this combo makes it so Seele costs 0 SP and well Sparkle may cost 3SP but she generates 4 with her ult. As a result, you’re actually +1.

What can you take from this? Sparkle gives Seele 32% more overall DPS in a 3 turn rotation than Bronya can, all the while being SP negative instead of 9SP negative. Which kinda makes it almost impossible to keep Bronya’s buff up.

          • Apologies i actually did Bronya’s numbers wrong. 645% gets x2.34 from Bronya and 645% remains that. A total of 2154. Not 1935. So it would be 2154 vs 2551.5 which is a total of 18% more damage for Sparkle. But it is still -9SP vs +SP.

        • Now if we’re not talking about Seele but another DPS lets say one that CANNOT get double turns with Sparke no matter what, then you’re going to want to build your character completely different as well depending on which buffer you use. Lets say this char has the same stats as Seele, in which case surely Bronya wins right? I mean, 2 turns with Bronya vs only 1 with Sparkle, surely Bronya can’t lose this time right. Well you’d be surprised.

Because of how Sparkles advance works, if you can’t get an extra turn with her you’re never going to be able to get an extra turn with her. As a result this allows you to build your character differently. Since now your characters speed is redundant. As a result of this, you won’t be building speed into your DPS at all, and will instead be giving extra DPS options like Atk % boots and Atk % subs instead of speed. With this, your base character is actually stronger than they would be with Bronya. So lets take an extra look.

Just like before, Bronya would be able to do the same thing resulting in a 1935% damage from your 3k attack char which also results in -9SP. Sparkle on the other hand could not do the same but would be working with a character with vastly more attack. Like 3600. Which is 20% more attack than the DPS Bronya is buffing. On top of this, you wouldn’t need to limit Sparkles speed to allow another char to take 2x turns. As a result you could literally give her enough speed for Sparkle to take an extra turn than Bronya. By the time Bronya has done 3 turns and allowed your DPS to make 6 moves, Sparkle would have moved 4x and allows your DPS to also move 4x also.

Sparkle, DPS, Sparkle, DPS, Sparkle, DPS, Sparkle DPS.

Overall 3 skills would only be 860%. But with the higher attack, we have to upscale this to be 20% more which is 1,032 which then gets buffed by Sparkle to be a grand total of 2,786. Wait what the frick. It’s actually STRONGER than it is with Seele. (Not a surprise.) This actually means that Sparkle is an even bigger buff to this char than she is to Seele. Being literally 44% more powerful. Of course, unlike with Seele this other random DPS can’t remain SP neutral. So you would lose SP which would have to be made up for by your other characters. How many? A grand total of 4, which is a lot easier to make up for than 9.

          • Even with just 3, keeping it completely fair. Sparkle would still result in a total % of 2089.8. Which is still higher than what Bronya can give with her 6.

          • Likewise, i used the same wrong number. So the actual difference would be 2154 vs 2,786 which is a total of 29% win for Sparkle.

The 3 vs 3 would result in a win for Bronya, but as i said, Sparkle is going to have far more speed than Bronya due to not being restricted by your DPS’s speed value. Bronya would be at around 134 while you could get Sparkle all the way to 180 speed if you wanted which isn’t as hard as you think with Sparkle.

          • did you remove the dmg% that only quantum dps get in the calcs? just checking also would there really be a point in running a team THIS sp positive? not too sure what to be doing with sp at that point lol

          • This is with a mono quantum team. With said mono quantum team all the extra SP allows SW to skill every turn. Along with all the buffs she gets from Sparkle as well, this turns SW into a pretty damn good DPS herself. Or you could skill with FX more often to gain her ult back faster which means more healing and faster stacks of her talent.

Without mono quantum the buffs do drop a bit. But it is still higher than Bronya’s overall.

Doing it the way i have also gives Bronya’s ult 50% up time, but in actuality it only has 25% up time. As such i’ve given Bronya more than she should have as well.

    • For me she is more OP than bronya and BY far, that i want her to be nerf. Her spell, with a good build, can give you 120% crit DAMAGE for a damage dealer, just this stupid thing is CRAZY

She will ofc be helpful so he can attack all the time at full power, but she’ll rarely get to buff him. She does far more for chars like Seele and other lower SP using chars.

    • Now, is it just me, or is her E1 like.. REALLY good?
Usually an Eidolon like that is E6 worthy right?
Usually I’d go for a Lightcone if i like a character, but now I cant decide if I should go for the LC or the E1

      • i whould still pull for LC for more damage, you can ( probably ) tweak her a little so you have her Cypher uptime to be optimal but i won’t skip out of 44% crit value for the WHOLE team.

    • feel like you should always asume the “worst” which is just one 1 sp in total.
it’s still good because of her talent and the way she wants to be played.
if it’s the ladder, it will completely max out the sp bar at the start of battle and that’s pretty amazing.
it can also mean that, every ally gets one free use of their skill but either way, the discription is just worded in a away that it’s just hard to pinpoint.

Sparkle’s kit can still change over time, especialy her A2 major trace will probably be changed from what i have seen so far like with Dr. Ratio and Ruan Mei.

  8. Hyper Drag Sparkle is gonna go crazy. Imagine not grabbing SPD boots on DPS and still getting 4 turns in a 0-Cycle and still generating SP. Or ignoring the 0-Cycle and just going for a Basic/Skill/Skill Rotation where you generate SP and give Action Advance. I have an E2S1 Bronya and I’m weeping, because Sparkle just shot my girl and threw her in a ditch. Oh and let’s not forget that Sparkle works with FUA, and if you want to, you can have Sparkle generate 7 Skill point every 3 turn rotation, resulting in a fast Sparkle generating enough SP for the WHOLE TEAM to spam skills. She not only is more flexible than Bronya, she outright replaces her. Gachasmack and Pokke will definitely agree.

    • Bronya will still crush the niche of 0-Cycle, 3 Supports, Hyper Carry teams, but in prolonged fights, she is simply too SP hungry. Sparkle should simply be built 50% faster than your DPS and drag them along with the BA/S/S rotation. I had to cope and find a way for Bronya to still find use after 2.0. I will be incredulous if Sparkle makes it to live without getting nerfed.

      • This is just simply not true. Sparkle has more buffs and 100% up time in those buffs. How on earth can Bronya still be better in 0 cycle.

        • I didn’t necessarily say that Bronya does better, just that she crushes that niche. Realistically they both do, but Sparkle would simply be better placed on the harder side, and having both on the same team is likely over kill.

          • She really doesn’t. 0 cycle with Bronya are done using Bronya as a skill point generator until she finally buffs the DPS on the very last turn to finish off the opponents. But Sparkle can buff your DPS the entire battle until that point all while generating skill points at the same time. Bronya can’t be better at this because Sparkle speeds up every part of the battle and not just the last turn before the cycle is about to end. To put it simply, Sparkle doesn’t require you to get close to finishing to cycle, and instead allows you to finish it easily with time to spare compared to Bronya.

          • You are right Reina. I hadn’t noticed it prior but trying to go back through 0-Cycle footage, most use their Bronya’s skill only once or twice. I suppose I was mostly looking at my own account as I have an E2S1 Bronya who with some retries can generate 3 SP and cancel out her own costs. That is my bad. At E0, Sparkle definitely puts Bronya in the grave.

    • sparkle is pretty much just hyperspeed bronya condensed into her skill
much better than bronya for economy in long fights but still not quite as effective in short fights
generating 4 skill points on ult is just crazy though, mf just lets you action advance IL and do a 3 sp basic and still be neutral on ult

    • Why not use Bronya+Sparkle
Something like DPS(preferably blade/jl)-Bronya-Sparkle in that turn order.
If you ever run out of SP, just switch to alternate between E and À with Sparkle since it wouldn’t ruin her energy gain and team turn order.
