Tingyun also does additional damage from her skill as described in her description page so Robin probably isn’t doing follow up attacks unless there are later changes.
Robin biggest weakness is her Ultimate cost and subsequent casts, everything else seems very good and in some cases you may not require more than one ult.
Her ultimate uptime will heavily depend on your investment on the follow-up attack team, if you have the IPC team (Topaz/Ratio/Adventurine) her problems may not be as bad.
However that may be a high cost for some so i can see some other options that could make Robin and the teams with her, better.
The character that can help Robin support the team is: Tingyun.
In short, Tingyun ults Robin, which allows for 1 turn Robin Ult with the added benefit that the DMG % buff can be useful for Robin.
Robin Tingyun combo open ups the door for other DPS that are not FUA related, if anything it could be good to even FUA teams., i can see some comps that could even replace a sustain for another buffer or attacker, so everyone can get the most out of Robin’s buffs and action forward.
Keep cooking, chef.
Does anyone know if the attacks from her Ult are considered follow-up attacks? There’s no verbiage to indicate such but you never know. I suspect it’s handled like the extra lightning damage from Tingyun instead?
absolutely no, description clearly says it is additional damage, that mean not a follow-up attack, just a piece of damage, not weakness break, also not energy regen by follow-up attack.
Additional dmg means it should be like TY’s yes
so i guess the best in slot team would be
Ratio, Topaz, Robin, and Aventurine?
all have follow ups, unless there’s another sustain with follow ups i forget
There’s March but she’s not exactly a good solo sustainer
Im kinda confused, why is she exceptionally good for follow-up teams? How does she differ from sparkle / bronya or ruan mei for example in supporting those teams?
Her talent gives her 2 energy for her 160 cost ult per ally attack, and her ult gives each ally attack extra damage.
Follow up attack units (especially Topaz, Ratio, and Clara) have multiple attack actions per turn, and as such trigger the talent and ult more often than other characters.
ah i see, if that’s the extent of her synergy with fua teams then i guess im better off saving for jade, as i understand she’d be more of a fua centric support. thanks
Also teamwide atk and dmg%
Putting Robin in a team with Bronya, Sparkle, and any DPS sounds interesting
– DPS turn
– Bronya skill on DPS
– DPS turn
– Sparkle skill on DPS
– DPS turn
– Robin Ult or skill into ult (immediate action advance other three characters)
– Repeat the first five actions
Idk how viable it would actually be when factoring in stats of characters but it can potentially lead to 6 actions for your DPS in a turn cycle
if I’m thinking about this correctly.
Any thoughts on this?
You’d want Sparkle first ideally due to how her advance works. Other than that, I think the first actions scramble your order, with your DPS furthest back due to having taken the most recent turn, causing the turns after Robin’s ult to then be Sparkle into Bronya into DPS all at the same AV, so instead of getting extra turns you’d get 1 turn buffed by Sparkle and Bronya simultaneously.
I think any way you do it, you are probably lose the initial rotation immediately after the Robin ult because Bronya and Sparkle will be at the exact same AV as your DPS.
For relic sets, think it’ll be 4pc Phys, 2pc Phys/ATK, or 4pc SPD? Leaning a bit on the 2pc combo. As for Planars, looking at Space Sealing or Glamoth.
Was bout that as well. I’m more tempted towards 2PC Phys + 2PC Prisoner/Station (ATK) with ATK boots – seems like we can run a slow robin since her buff is tied to her own turns rather than the team. As for Planars, I’m with you with either space sealing or glamoth.
Sub stats to look for seem to be as much ATK and ATK% as possible, and possibly some SPD or Break Effect. Her additional phys damage seems to be set so no need to add anymore. Energy Regen as well for the link rope
2 ATK/ATK, Broken Keel. 2 Pioneer/Phys, Sigonia.
Don’t go phys though, that set is trolling.
well, those were beautiful animations. if only her critdmg buffs is transferred to her eidolons i can pull for this
You… want them to remove a buff from her base kit?
There is a theory that a character’s kit has a fixed sum of mana and every ability and effect in it has a mana cost. Should an effect that is useless to a specific team gets deleted, the mana spent on it can be spent to somewhere else, making this character more synergized to the said team.
Example:
I hope so Ting Yun’s energy recharge gets removed so she gives more attack and damage amp and I can now team her with Acheron.
Yeah but in this case… crit dmg is almost universally applicable, unless you’re using a DoT team (and DoTs shouldn’t trigger her additional dmg? So the synergy isn’t really there) so she’d probably end up with a less useful talent
One barely useful talent on her base kit wont hurt her. She’s overloaded even on E0
Team wide buffs. Crit dmg, dmg and atk.
Exception buff. Advance whole team.
Exclusive buff. Follow up atks
additional critdmg
Self buffs. Give additional atk that presumably, always crit, cc immunity, er regen, quickturn buff on battle start and self heal
Can someone gaslight me into thinking she is the best pull ever in the game? Because I can’t convince myself of that with these numbers. I would really appreciate it if you could help me put into perspective how good she is.
Probable teams may be
Ratio-Robin-Tingyun-Aventurine
Imbibitor Lunae (E2), Robin, Tingyun, Luocha
Jingliu, Robin, Tingyun, Luocha
Pure Fiction = Argenti, Robin, Herta, Aventurine.
I think instead of thinking of her like the typical support you think of her as a hybrid DPS and instead of tingyun you put ratio, topaz, and aventurine there. now you have 3 other team mates with follow up attacks
now after the robin ult if you set things up correctly you could get robin to do a massive amount of follow up attacks from (1x ratio ult, 1x ratio skill 3x ratio follow up,1x topaz skill, 2x numby, 1x aventurine ult, 1x aventurine follow up, 1x aventurine basic) that’s theoretically 11 follow up attacks that does 144% + guaranteed 150% guaranteed crit dmg each time
and that hasn’t taken into account if she buffs herself and the buff from topaz and the fact that your team might be able to get another attack in before the ult expires
other than that I don’t see her being a good generalist, she’s 100% for follow up attacks teams
if done right you can set her up for 11x follow up attacks after the ult with a full follow up team like Ratio, Topaz, Aventurine
might even be more if your team is speedy. definitely not a general support tho
I don’t need to gaslight you though, she will be one of the strongest units in the game. She has the potential to be best support IMO depending on how the dual DPS meta evolves. She is DEF the best FUA team support, it’s not even a contest IMO. She can be a Ruan Mei substitute for DoT teams. She can be BiS for any dual DPS comp probably. Still strong in hypercarry, just not competing with Sparkle/Bronya. She does it all.
seems like follow-up dps harmony
