| Character Story: Part I | "Merciful of Sanctus Medicus... Now, listen to us. Swallow this — not only will your illness be cured, but you shall become no different to a long-life species... You shall live a long, long life..." He tries to swallow the medicine, but does not dare inhale. He has no idea how many more times he would have to endure this suffering. The thick liquid passes through his esophagus like he is swallowing needles. A powerful urge to vomit crushes his entire chest. "Swallow it. Don't spit it out. This is medicine..."His body is also echoing this sentiment: Swallow it. Swallow it. Swallow it. Swallow it, and you will never have to face the threat of wild beasts, never again will you fall into the gaping, bloody jaws of fear. Swallow it, and your body shall no longer be powerless, never again will you have to stand by and watch your companions die. Swallow it. As his organs and flesh begin to consume the medicine, a strange power begins to course through him. He yearns to gasp for air, but the sensation of being devoured and torn that spreads from his abdomen down his limbs makes him feel suffocated. "Endure it. Just like before... If you can just endure it..."He can no longer make a sound. Only his body is conversing with him. Endure it. He will then no longer be the orphan abandoned by his village in the wilderness. Endure it. Then, every word he speaks will be answered, and he will no longer be alone. Endure it. "Moze? How do you feel?" "Very good. Seems like you withstood it once again." "Keep holding on. Don't be afraid. All of your ailments will be eliminated." "When that time comes... You can do whatever you please. Hunt the beasts of the wild, protect your companions, live a long and healthy life..." "When your body is completely healed... you will obtain a whole life... you will become our true family." "When that time comes, we must carry on each other's wills." Who knew that one has to bear so much pain to finally find their family. "It hurts..." He can no longer take it. The sound of agony finds its way through the cracks in his gritted teeth. However, the person by his side simply says: "Unity of Discipuli Medicus, the Immortality's true path. Pass this trial in safety, and victory would mean life." "The mercy of Sanctus Medicus." No one cares what he has to say, so he slowly grows accustomed to not talking. * Unlocked at Character Level |
| Character Story: Part II | "General, report! One hundred and seventeen of the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus have been captured and will be handed over to the Ten-Lords Commission for imprisonment." "However, this young man has likely suffered torture with their medicines. Look..." As he hides himself in the shadows, the woman being referred to as the "General" walks towards him. She had clearly already noticed his presence. "When that time comes, we must carry on each other's wills." The voice that resounds in his mind is devoid of emotion, yet day after day of being exposed to it causes him to raise his dagger at once. However, in the blink of an eye, the dagger comes crashing to the ground. "You wish to kill me?" "You killed my family." He notices a momentary unease in the eyes of the fox-eared woman. "You count them as family?" "They saved me. They are the only reason I am alive." She lets go of the boy and shakes her head. "I see you know nothing... Never mind. Someone will come to plan a home and life for you. Just follow them and you will be fine." As she turns to leave, the boy stays crouched on the floor, simply staring at her back. He knows that this may be his final chance. He picks up the dagger from the ground, jumps high into the air from behind her, and lunges forward. "A fine attack!" She praises him. This time, the dagger does not fall to the ground, as it ends in the woman's hands. However, he does not give up. He dodges left and right, and even gnaws at the woman's hand when that failed. "It's not polite to bite people, you know... Ah, don't worry about me. Stand down... This child reminds me of how I was in the borisin war camp." The woman does not fight back. She simply dodges his assaults. The young man is panting and out of breath, yet still desperately seeking a break in her defenses. They stand in a stalemate. "How about this? You can come back with me." The woman pulls out a strale and hands it to the young man. "I'll make a deal with you. Come with me, and you can challenge me whenever you please until the day that your vengeance is successful." "What do you mean?" "If you come with me, you can kill me any time you like." Even the surrounding Verdant Knights were stupefied by her words. "Of course, until the day you kill me, you must do as I tell you. You will eat three square meals every day, study, learn martial arts... Oh, and you will shower daily." The young man swallows a heavy gulp. "What about after I kill you?" The woman was caught off-guard for a moment before erupting into loud laughter. "Then, naturally, you will be free to do whatever you please." * Unlocked at Character Level |
| Character Story: Part III | "Who are you?" He says nothing, but people who are staring death in the face tend to get chatty. "I know. You're Feixiao's shadow guard. I'm right, aren't I? You've spent your whole life working in the shadows, doing things that should never see the light of day... "How about I give you a chance? My master wants to know if the rumor of Feixiao having borisin blood is true. If we can reach an agreement, then when we take down Fei — AGH!" Things are as he had suspected. So, he brings his mission to a swift end. This is his duty as a shadow guard. There is no consideration for right or wrong... His actions are motivated only by orders. This is because, to him, each successful mission is an opportunity... An opportunity for revenge. "For every successful mission, you will earn one strale. One strale will buy you forgiveness after each assassination attempt." He was once concerned that he would not be able to get close to Feixiao, yet he was assigned as Yaoqing's shadow guard and followed by her side at all times. His assassination attempts were never successful, but through them, he had mastered the art of vanishing and reappearing like a ghost. This blade that strikes from the darkness is not only aimed at the general of the Yaoqing, but also the enemies of the Xianzhou Yaoqing. He is the omnipresent shadow. "Are you... the crow-feather weirdo?" Another mission complete. Sitting on the ground, the child timidly asks. "They say the crow-feather weirdo beats up bad guys, punishes evil, and fights for good... but... The clothes he wears are so dark that no one can ever see him... "You're so strong and your clothes are so dark, so, so... th—thank you for saving me!" Punish evil and fight for good? That is never his motive. He just happens to save the boy while carrying out one of his missions. However, he has indeed become used to concealing himself within the shadows and keeping a watchful eye on all goings-on, not letting anything pass him. In the sparkling eyes of the child in front of him, he can see himself clearly in his umbral clothes. He walks in the darkness and stands in the darkness. The crow-feather weirdo, the shadow guard... they are all parts of who he is. * Unlocked at Character Level |
| Character Story: Part IV | The foxian healer half covers his face as he looks at the scene before him with great empathetic concern... Countless eyes, ears, tongues, teeth, limbs, and fur are sprouting from and falling off of the bodies in front of them, as if they are experiencing this final suffering in vain. For the first time in forever, Moze feels a little uncomfortable. Not only because of the scene before him, but because it reminds him of his blurred memories of the past. "The mercy of Sanctus Medicus... life without bounds.... old age never coming... the dead revitalizing..." A crowd of Sanctus Medicus disciples huddles together. Though one of them is heavily wounded, those around them simply continue to murmur those familiar words. "The divine traces of Abundance shall heal your body... quick. Drink this..." "Suffering is temporary... you shall have a full life once more. you will not die in this mo... ment—" In a flash, the speaker collapses to the ground. The black-clad shadow guard appears in the light before them and stands solemnly. Silence can not conceal the murderous rage that once again wells up inside him. ... "These people are no longer people. They feel no pain... What about you, though? With wounds like those, are you going to tell me you feel no pain?" The foxian healer sprinkles powder on his wounds and chatters away as always. "We were originally here for reconnaissance. I told you we had a large force ready for backup. Why did you go ahead and take action?" He does not say a word, simply looking down at the sharp, blood-coated dagger in his hands. Over the years, through each and every mission he had completed, he had long since come to understand just what that former "family" of his was. However, he refuses to think about it in depth, nor would he acknowledge that his view had changed from all those years ago. If he did, what meaning would his vengeance and their vow have? "Does that hurt?" "..." He still refuses to speak. The foxian healer decides to speed up his movements, wrapping his wounds in gauze and casually pressing down a little too hard. "Ow..." "If it hurts, then say it out loud. What good does enduring your pain do? Just seeing you like this is agony for me." He nods. He has become accustomed to not speaking, but also to having people speak on his behalf. * Unlocked at Character Level |

People are mentioning robin and topaz – but he’s so aggressively skill point friendly, he’s competitive with hanya.
Obviously doesn’t grant direct stat boosts, but since he can benefit from them, himself, he fits in a flexible ven diagram for both current and future synergies.
8/10. Needs SP hungry FUP user which doesn’t exist.
Pretty obviously bad against squishies and waves, but I’m assuming you’re smart enough to not try to fit a square peg in a round hole.
I am kind of new to this. so can anyone ans me:-
His talent:- Recover 1 Skill Point(s) after using the Talent’s follow-up attack. This effect can be triggered again after 1 turn(s).
1. This 1 turn last until his departed state dispel and skill again? Because in video I saw he only recover only 1 skill point(his 1st follow up)
2. Does his prey consider as a debuff like topaz? or not consider as debuff like dr ratio’s wiseman folly?
3. So can he take full advantage of pioneer set if his prey is debuff? because if wearer inflict debuff the set effect will increase by 100% which last 1 turn but during that 1 turn he can effectively launch 3 follow up and ultimate+follow up and this set will have 100% up time.
4.4 piece pioneeer vs 2 pc duke and 2 electro set?
1. yes, 1 skill point recovery after the first FUA(follow-up attack).FUA doesn’t count as a turn. You can see it like 1 SP recovery per skill
2.prey is considert as debuff and (A6 Vengewise is also a debuff what i saw from a video)
3.yes pioneerset works on him
4.Pioneer is better as 2pc duke and 2pc electro because you get 2 debuff from his
skill
but this is my opinion
i go with 4pc pioneer and 2pc inert salsotto
upgrade prio is talent>ult>skill>(normal attack isn’t needed)
p.s. sorry for the bad gramma english isn’t my first language
I’m pretty sure he’s SP neutral: gain 1 SP per turn to use skill and dip again
The skill wasn’t counted as debuff before so I doubt it would this time
The skill itself it’s not a debuff, but the Prey mark is a debuff. Anything that marked onto the enemy and has a function that allow your character to deal more dmg or make them take more is generally a debuff. See Aventurine Ult for references.
1. Pretty much, a bonus 1 sp after he lunch a follow up for the FIRST time when he entered the Departed state.
2. Prey counted as a debuff.
3. He himself can’t get the full extra 12% Crit DMG but he can trigger the last sentence effect. Some timing required with the rest of the team but yes, when he first entered Departed and mark enemy as Prey. Ult and Follow up from said Ult does benefit from Pioneer but remembered that you need at 2 debuff on them (including Prey) to get the extra Crit DMG. Otherwise you only have a bonus +4 Crit Rate.
4. As explained above, he can benefit from Pioneer but 2pc Duke + 2pc Lightning will probably be more consistent if you can’t keep uptime for Pioneer.
i looked it up A6 Vengewise is also a debuff so you have 2 debuffs on the enemy when you use the skill
So you get 8% crit rate(4%+4%) and 16%Crit Dmg (8%+8%) bye only using him(pioneer set).
It’s only 1 debuff missing for the full set effect(8%CritRate and 24%CritDMG)
Now this goes somewhere. Still just a much weaker Topaz, but at least playable now.
This unit is majorly reworked in V3 and is overall stronger than before. E2 Moze would be adequate.
I think he’s kit is making f2p friendly topaz-robin mix
His dependence of Robin is too bad, he deals barely any damage without her and between Marth 7 and him you will use Marth 7 to give charges to Feixiao
I think the point is to make him a 4 star topaz intended to incentivize pulling Feixiao if you don’t have her. His eidolon 1 says it all to me. I think he’ll be fine in enabling follow up teams on both sides of endgame, but not completely necessary. He’ll be okay/good imo. FUA teams are so good, that that e1 25% bonus plus the crit damage might be enough on its own. Especially that he does damage too.
He’s so hot yet kit is underwhelming..
the only way they can save moze make him do FUA every time ally hit target who has pray make the hit do less dmg but more hit like 150% dmg lvl10 and 5 time FUA every skill
I feel bad for those who looked forward to him the most. Hopefully he does get a rework (it’s V1 after all), but damn! They made worse unit than Arlan at this point.
For those unaware of why this might be currently the worst character, here is the base of what is bad:
-disappears from field completely upon mark
-requires 7 hit procs to trigger his follow-up and finally do damage
-said damage is bad
-is meant to be Feixiao’s partner (Topaz alternative) and said Feixiao herself requires stacks to ult sooner
-as established Moze requires stacking himself to do anything meaning that it’s Feixiao and your sustain that will do all the heavy lifting for him (which is not the team that Feixiao wants to be in)
-on top of that SP will be a problem because Feixiao wants to skill and he generates nothing during his absence and since Robin is harmony to go to for Feixiao, it only leaves a sustain as your SP printer
-you will need to go all the way up to E6 just to make him somewhat (emphasis on “somewhat”) functional
-on another hand you can just replace him with hunt March, a free unit with all free E’s, and everyone will be much happier
He needs whole kit rework, and he needs it fast. His current kit is just huge mess and sad to see.
Nobody expected out of him to be better than said Topaz, but it’s crazy that he, a gacha character, is essentially way worse than a unit you get for free in the same role he is meant to fill (a role that he can’t even do properly due to his contradictory kit that doesn’t even look Feixiao friendly in the first place – if anything, he looks like he needs March/Topaz over her to remotely work).
Thankfully, this is only V1, so he still has a chance. He SHOULD get a chance!
Common, Hoyo. This is a gacha (a character you need to SPEND ON to even get) that you are trying to sell here. Getting specific 4* (copies of them) is arguably even more harder than getting limited 5* on the banner because you might not even get a single copy of desired 4* for all the pulls you do, let alone 7 copies, only so he keeps being way too mid even for a 4* standards.
they should honestly remove the stacking mechanic that is needed to trigger his FUA, just make it so that he does a FUA every time an ally attacks an enemy with the prey mark, if they did that, he would be able to:
1. Contribute more to the overall team dmg
2. Help out in Feixiao’s Aureus stack generation
3. Not be a sitting duck waiting for the 7 stacks
and regarding the sp generation in one of his major traces, just make it, generates 1 sp every 2 FUA, if they keep Moze like this, he is gunna be so bad
i mean even if they make no drastic changes and he remains bad, ill still use him but come one Hoyoverse what the hell is this kit, there are so many people who like his design and would gladly E6 him (myself included) and u decided to ruin his kit when u could have made a decent 4 star kit, look at gallagher hoyo, u gave him an amazing kit and people liked him so much, u still have a chance to rework Moze’s kit and make him better and you should
Him stacking isn’t an issue. March stacks to, but March is:
-present during battle
-generates SP (she also never requires her skill beyond 1 time, making her the ultimate SP printer)
-does pretty consistent FUA even outside of her stacking
-doesn’t mind overstacking (if stacks go above 7, her limit)
Meanwhile, Moze:
-completely disappears from the fight
-doesn’t generate any SP basically (unlike March, he will need to skill any time he reappears on battle again, making him completely SP negative, which is ironic since his potential partners Feixiao/Ratio are SP black holes as well)
-barely does a damn thing before his stacks
-if he gets overstacked – the whole thing resets (you literally need to hit 7 procs and 7 procs only or else you go from 0 again while he is sleeping with his invisible cloak on not doing a damn thing I guess)
The best way to fix him with keeping his current kit in mind would be to increase his FUA prior to ultimate proc (similar to March), and then increase damage multiplier for his said big number proc (when he finally has 7). Also make E4 his base, and if E6 can’t be made into base as well (bc money), then get it at least at some lower E level.
Lastly, don’t make him crap his pants if his proc goes above 7. I have no idea why the hell did they make him the only unit with this issue? Imagine if Aventurine didn’t FUA just because the number went above his cap. Or Acheron’s whole ult reset because debuffs went above her cap. It’s absolutely stupid. Not sure whatever or no this is a bug, or intended “feature” but I wanted to scream when I saw that showcase in which his proc overcapped and instead of doing FUA while saving excess procs for next rounds (like literally everyone else who got similar gimmick with procs)… His .exe seems to have crashed as he now needed to do it all over again.
Hopefully, V2 starts at least doing something with his current kit. I’ll be damned if they end up mostly ignoring it. This is not a free character, but a gacha one. Leaving him in a state in which it is E6 or nothing, is absolutely stupid. I’m not against March being good (I personally use her, and I like using her), but is it so hard to make gacha version of her (that is supposedly meant to be that – mini Topaz) at least on pair with March? Just what is even a point of making a character, gacha one at that, if you won’t at least make them somewhat function in what they are meant to do compared to a literal free version.
I doubt hes topaz substitute for feixiao cuz topaz substitute is actually hunt march. I honestly think that hes actually feixiao/dr ratio substitute in FuA team
hes really the only character i want from 2.5 i really hope they rework
