And I thought Columbina from Genshin was coming early
Well, looks like you need to have Kafka AND Black Swan to play her. If not, then easy skip.
See no reason to START pulling this C3+ coast team now, but for Kafka+Swan havers she is a finally good adition to the DOT consept (BS E1 + Hyslien E2 looks like a combo that will close all content until the end of the game)
DPS loss: Cipher, Fugue, Lingsha, Cerydra, Hysilens, Sparkle, Topaz, Flop Xuan, Silver Mid, Ruan Mid, Black Shit
DPS gain: Aventurine, Sunday, Anaxa, Gallagher
Notice something?
she’s so beautiful
I think it’s pretty good for DoT players but her design is mid sadly
Increase dmg taken, atk shred, def shred + massive DoT
An actual nihility beside sw
She should work in general comp team
As of Day 1 (2025/07/01), her kit looks quite underwhelming. DEF and RES shred from Zone are nice, but her own DoT multipliers are yikes. At this point, she’s just another enabler to help stack a lot of DoT for Black Swan.
Hope her kit gets better.
to confirm, you are saying a DoT multiplier of… 420% by herself (25 x 4 + 80 x 4) and more with other dot characters (each further dot is another 80, up to 4 more) is “yikes”
she applies all 4 of wind shear, bleed, burn, and shock. and each of those procs her ult individually.
I swear, people just see “25%” and think duuuh this character bad
Yes, I already took that 420% ceiling into account, and it’s okay that you think I’m pessimistic.
But there are two more things you should consider. First, Hysilens will most likely be played in triple-DoT comp, with Huohuo as sustain. Second, recent dpses namely Phainon, Castorice, and THerta can utilize Harmony units, with the latter two having sub-dps as well. And we all know how ridiculous these three units are.
Considering these, this 420% output still doesn’t feel enough to bring DoT to spotlights, especially since DoT comp is so niche. Not to mention the hassle you need to go through to actiavate her 130 cost ult. It’s just not enough (yet).
I am really excited about Hysilens!
However, if Hysilens cannot deal really good DoT DMG on her own and needs other characters like Kafka or Black Swan, then I am not interested in Hysilens.
I am not going to get baited into getting old characters aswell on top of this new one.
However if Hysilens is able to deal really good DoT DMG on her own E0S0 (or E0S1), without needing old characters (I do not care that they were Buffed) then I am interested in her.
Hysilens better have DoT Crit, DoT Explosions, DoT Spread, all in one, in her Base Kit by the end of her Beta.
If HoYo wants to sell us a DoT character, they better make it right this time around because we are not so dumb to fall for their Mid DoT characters anymore that become useless in 2 patches!
you’re right, also i will wait to see if she could be used with Sampo and/or JQ .
i’ve no Kafka or BS
Then you can already give up, dot archetype CANNOT work with only one character so trust me she will be unusable if you don’t have AT least kafka or Black Swan if not both.
If you want a dot team then you need to invest in them wich i’m guessing a lot of ftp player don’t want to do.
Investing backwards… Hysilesn 3.x + Kafka 1.x (even if Buffed).
Nah, that is just not the way HSR works.
Power Creep is way too fast in HSR to invest backwards.
(Not to mention Enemy HP inflation!)
Madam Herta can use old Erudition like Serval or Herta but her prefered upgrade is Anaxa.
Castorice can use older Healers like Luocha or Gallagher but her prefered upgrade is Hyacine.
So Hysilens Needing Kafka is a total joke!
Investing backwards is not a smart thing to do in HSR.
if you don’t have kafka/ are not willing to pull for kafka you can give up on dot. kafka is the only reason that dot is good.
I don’t play DoT but this looks pretty darn good.
Hmmmmm
