n/a | The head of the Xianzhou Luofu's Divination Commission and a confident, no-nonsense sage. Using her third eye and the Matrix of Prescience, Fu Xuan calculates the Xianzhou's navigational route and predicts the fortune of future events. She firmly believes that everything she does is the "best solution" for the situation. Fu Xuan is waiting for the general's promised "abdication." However, that day still seems... very far away. |
n/a | Even after the stretch of many years, Fu Xuan would always think of the day she got permission to enter "the library" and ask her question. "What are you thinking about?" The blind elder wearing sunglasses awaited her response in silence, tilting his head and holding to his cane for support. "Do all those moments of choice hold predestined outcomes? Or is it that, if in that very instant, I could calculate with even greater precision, even by a fraction of a fraction, I could make the right choice and prevent them from leaving?" The girl's eyes were half-closed, and she spoke her question akin to an answer. "Across each and every moment, we stand at the center of a maze laid out by our own footprints." The old, blind man softly shifted his cane. "I cannot provide you with answers. I can only offer questions... and the perspective to see them. And whatever you have sought from me along the way, surely it is not an answer." "Then, grant me 'The Eye'. Regardless of whether fate has been predetermined from the start, as a diviner, I long to see with greater clarity." "As you wish. But the people of the Xianzhou are ageless in flesh. To accept my 'eye' means to bear timeless pain. Rather than a tool, it is more like an.... 'instrument of torture.'" "Aren't these the very words of the Wisdomwalker's creed? Knowledge exchanged with pain. I do not wish to make the same mistake in my future choices." ... In the stupor that followed the bestowal of her "eye," she witnessed a great many past happenings. She saw herself during childhood, sitting upright and diligent in her studies; her father tenderly brushing the point between her brows, proudly praising her intellect and wit; her elders revealing to her the Fu family's gloried history serving as the Xianzhou Yuque's stargazers. She saw the operations and rites conducted by diviners, divining the brilliant future for her where she would claim the throne of master diviner. "Is this my future?" "Isn't every morsel, every drop predestined? This is your destiny. The divination results have been submitted to Master Diviner Jingtian, and he has agreed to personally supervise your tutelage. This is an immense fortune you have been blessed with." All the past is layered in the mists of probability, shifting on the edges of consciousness between dreams and reality, and extending forward into futures uncountable. She strove to find the day she became a diviner in the vastness of all moments. |
n/a | On that day, Fu Xuan sought her master beneath the Cloudpeer Telescope of the Xianzhou Yuque, but found herself unable to believe that the man before her was the master diviner her elders had so reverently regarded. He wore a somewhat aged pilot's outfit and was unceremoniously seated on the ground, his attention dedicated entirely to the shifting of the interwoven light rays in the matrix. "Your humble student, Fu Xuan, comes bearing her respects, Master Diviner." Such were the words spoken by the girl after a period of hesitation. The man's gaze remained unwavering, as he simply raised a finger, beckoning her to look at the show. Fu Xuan noticed that his hand had, inexplicably, morphed into a wooden ingenium. "The Yuque's Echojade Fleet are currently laying out a defense at Thalassa in coordination with the Yaoqing's encirclement and eradication of abominations. You should have heard of this, yes? However, they are fated to lose this battle." "Huh? The Yaoqing is noted for its martial prowess and is rarely rivaled. According to intelligence, our forces outnumber and outmatch the borisin. How can victory be denied if an attack is commenced?" "Well asked. You don't seem like an apprentice that just accepts things." The man stood up and patted down his dust-coated sleeves. "A diviner knows fate without resigning to it. Treading through varied possibilities to find the best choice is indeed wise. But, sometimes, no matter how you choose, destiny will only grant you a single path forward. When the finalized divination presents you with only two outcomes, the bad and the worse, what will you choose?" "...Naturally, the choice should be the lesser of two evils. This is the first lesson of divination." "But what if it's humanly impossible to judge matters at hand?" The man turned. "This divination is gleaned from the newly arranged 'Deca-Light Reflection Barrier' matrix. There are two outcomes: To temporarily transfer the Heroncrest Fleet of the Xianzhou Yaoqing, or to draw from the manpower of the Ebonpearl Fleet of the Fanghu. Only one choice can be made. To use the Heroncrest Fleet means being able to press a strong offense for some time but losing any hope of victory thereafter. To use the Ebonpearl Fleet, we must endure the vast distances between us and the Fanghu and have the conflict drag on for six months. During this time, we must also withstand multiple counterattacks from the enemy, not to mention the losses that are certain to come. But should the defense hold until reinforcement arrives, then victory may well become possible." "They went with the first option, I presume?" "Correct. Divination can provide counsel and guidance, but only the general can make the final decision. He chose the path that would lead to the smallest loss. This didn't invalidate my divination, of course — defeat was the predetermined outcome." "The treatises on the art of war state that an advantage in numbers speaks favorably for initiating battle, and calling on the aid of Yaoqing's forces may not be the worst possible decision. Moreover, nothing is ever certain in this world. How can you be so sure, master diviner? How can you speak as if all have been predestined?" "Nothing is ever certain in this world?" The man sighed heavily. "I thought the same thing when the divination results appeared... I thought there must have been an error in the calculations. However, the results did not change after the re-analysis. I therefore resolved to head to the battlefield and seek evidence myself." "I had ventured deep into Thalassa the past few weeks, fought the abominations, and gained the trust of the local water dwellers. That was how I received a shocking piece of news: Within a month's time, a great tide known to the Thalassans as the 'Devil's Tide' — caused by the gravitational influence of their moon — will arrive." "None will be able to keep fighting the abominations in such abyssal conditions without the help from the Fanghu Vidyadhara's cloudhymn magi. This piece of intel does not exist on any guide, nor is it recorded in our army's data bank. Only that, in order to validate my results in a moment of superfluous effort, I gave my hand as the price." The man smiled bitterly and lifted his wooden hand in a wave. "Sometimes there is only ever one path in destiny. Everything is predetermined." "By the way, you don't need to address me as master diviner. You should call me 'Teacher' from today onward." |
n/a | She spent the happiest time in her life studying in the Yuque's Divination Commission. She learned about predestination versus free-will, about matrix calculations versus human choices... The girl recalled she was always arguing with her teacher on every issue regarding divination and fortune-telling. Those were not aggressive confrontations with sharp words, but heated discussions between peers. And yet, though the two agreed on many topics, there was one issue they could not come to a consensus — Nous had granted divine volumes outlining the matrix calculations to the Xianzhou centuries ago. The Xianzhou Yuque's Divination Commission had pored over them to interpret and manifest the wisdom within, ultimately constructing the best divination matrix in the entire Alliance. Thought this is a point of pride for Yuque's diviners, Fu Xuan felt it was nothing short of culling the future possibilities of the Xianzhou people within the narrow path set out by the matrix. When people believe that the predictions of the matrix will always come to pass, then "choice" became an empty concept only for show. The diviners have unwillingly become prisoners of the matrix. They head to work when the hour is fortuitous, and stay home when the hour is ominous. What they do, what they avoid doing — everything was in accordance with the divination results. "If the matrix tells me that I will die tomorrow, does that mean I should just hurry up and end myself? At that point, what is the difference between performing a divination and not performing one?" "The difference is that we know we walk on the ordained path set by the heavens. That is the supreme path sought by Grandmaster Xuan Yao, who initiated the Divination Commission system." "All the diviner has to do is to faithfully believe and obediently follow the guidance of the matrix, and make one choice after another in that way — even though those choices may be ludicrous, incomprehensible, or difficult. All such efforts will ultimately lead the Xianzhou to the great work that it has been seeking throughout its existence — that of eradicating the Plagues Author and rid the world of the agony of Abundance." The man's expression was as placid and calm as an enlightened disciple who had received divine revelation. He looked at Fu Xuan and continued, "just like how I chose to take you in as my student after knowing about your predetermined future." It wasn't for my talents? And it wasn't for my well-connected family? It was just to fulfill some prediction? This... this was absurd! Rage took over Fu Xuan, and she was at a loss for words. "Did I ever tell you that after I consulted the Deca-Light Reflection Barrier and interpreted the hexagram, I now firmly believe that my life will end in your hands? However, I still took you in as my student. I'm waiting for you to take over my position and become the Xianzhou Yuque's master diviner, because it has all been predetermined." Predetermined? His life will end in my hands? He was talking as if the Xianzhou was still in the Three Sufferings Era! As if she was a treacherous disciple who craved the seat of the master diviner so much, that she would even kill her teacher for it! Her teacher was a scoundrel! "And I... I will never let that prediction come to pass!" The girl admired everything about her master as a diviner — his intelligence, skills, and integrity. However, she could not accept how he willingly sank into the blinding abyss of fatalism and regarded it as an acceptable way of life, despite being a diviner who could peek into destiny. Therefore, Fu Xuan ran away from the Xianzhou Yuque despite her family's dissuasion and the hurdles she had to cross. She ran away like a self-exiled escapee, plunging into the Luofu's Divination Commission with its more unrestricted culture and devoted herself to calculations. Not only did she want to part from the Xianzhou Yuque, she also wanted to prove with her own hands that her teacher's prediction was nothing but his own ludicrous delusions. |
n/a | Centuries passed thus, and the flames of war descended again. Diviner Fu Xuan calculated ceaselessly at her job. The grand armies of the Denizens of Abundance formed for the third time and launched a surprise attack on the Xianzhou Fanghu. The Yuque and the Luofu were close to the Fanghu, and it was their duty to give assistance. The divination revealed that all Xianzhou armies will meet a devastating defeat if they choose to face the assault head-on — however, should they keep up a defense, then there will be a chance to change the tides of battle. What a pity that the hexagram did not reveal how this chance will come about! Fu Xuan calculated and divined over and over again, yet the results given by the Matrix of Prescience never changed. "No one will choose defeat." This was the limit of a diviner's capacities. Fu Xuan outlined the pros and cons in writing and submitted the divination results to the Seat of Divine Foresight. However, as she expected, the outcome of the meeting between the Arbiter-Generals concluded that they must not take on a defensive position, not when such overwhelming numbers of the Abundance Axis were assaulting the Fanghu. The Cloud Knights of the Luofu and the Yuque must rise to face the enemy, buying time before the Yaoqing's army can arrive. On that day, Fu Xuan bore witness through the Projection Sandpit to the Alliance's army being decimated. Not only did the borisin bring fleets and mechabeasts numerous enough to block out the sky, they even summoned the incarnosphere Ketu Mirage from ancient legends. This evil gravitated toward the Fanghu, hellbent on bringing annihilation to all lives onboard, recreating the tragedy of the fall of the Xianzhou Cangcheng. And the only thing people could do was watch as it neared. Was this truly the limit of a diviner's capacities!? A bold idea surfaced in Fu Xuan's mind as she drowned in anxiety and anger. "I must see General Jing Yuan!" The girl spoke her thoughts when brought face-to-face with the general. It was no longer possible to obtain victory with the forces available to the Cloud Knights. The only chance of victory lies in making the Reignbow manifest themselves. She was not expecting the tired-looking man before her to simply nod after hearing her absurd and borderline blasphemous idea. The general did not even show any hints of ridicule. "How would you want to do it?" "The Xianzhou Yuque holds the Cloudpeer Telescope, the ultimate astronomical observation device in the Alliance. Not only can it scry into the distance, it can also be used to send out information... I plan to ship the Cloudpeer Telescope to the Fanghu using a Navis Astriger, and send out an SOS signal to the last observed location of the Reignbow's Lux Arrow. If we hurry, we still have a chance to turn everything around before that living planet falls." "I trust that you are... well aware of the singular sign of the Reignbow's descent onto the physical plane and its consequences, correct?" "Yes. As the person who voiced this plan, I am willing to be on the front lines and execute it." The girl's expression was solemn. She was keenly aware of how unorthodox her idea was. "I thank you for your words, but the Six Charioteers should work together to combat such a great crisis. Moreover, you do not have the permission to manipulate that device. Should this plan go awry, I will take all responsibility as the one who made the suggestion. Do not trouble yourself over this, Miss Fu." As Fu Xuan watched the general's retreating figure, she suddenly realized what he meant by "the Six Charioteers should work together" — the only person who has the permission to use the Cloudpeer Telescope and can send out a signal in the format of the Reignbow's decree... ...was none other than the Yuque's Master Diviner. ... "Is this why you seek "The Eye"? I saw your dreams..." The girl did not open her eyes, yet she could already see the world around her condense into solid form from nebulous mist, see all possibilities fade and leave behind the solitary, absolute, and faultless "choice." "Those are not dreams. They are my past. They made me who I am." "And he was right all this time. There is only ever one path in destiny." |

“When Fu Xuan’s Ultimate is used, heals all other allies by an amount equal to 5% of Fu Xuan’s Max HP plus 133.”
Is that a flat effect that just apply to allies, or can it be buffed by 2PC healer set or chest piece?
It is boosted by Outgoing healing% body, or the 2 pc healer set, tried a calc with OH% body 8k Fu Xuan, and at base the heal was ~550Hp, with the OH piece, it was ~700 something.
Thanks. People were talking about 2PC Wuthering Snow and 2PC Longevous Disciple, but since she already can heal herself maybe additional DMG reduction won’t be noticable and 2PC healing will be better to keep your homies safe.
Can’t wait for her release.
done with prefarming ascension mats and almost done with the trace materials as well
what relics would you guys put on her? i wont be prefarming any relics just curious
It’s hard to say, but considering how she’s an HP scaling preservation unit, you don’t just run def sets and call it a day. Depending on whether or not it works, the Damage Reduction set (Guard of Wuthering Snow) might actually be really good, as it would reduce the constant dmg she’s taking from allies by a bit, and the hp regen it gives you when you drop low would go well with her already existing self heal to get you back to basically, if not, 100% hp. Then for her Planar set, probably just Broken Keel for effect res and mainly crit dmg support, or the Fleet of the Ageless for more hp and some atk support. I’m not an actually theory crafter or anything, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but just my initial thoughts based on what info is available rn.
She don’t benefit from the heal from 4Pc Wuthering since her talent instantly proc when she go below 50%, so she should never, in the best scenario, begin the turn with less than 50% Hp.
You can go with a mix of Messenger hackerspace, longevous, genius, or full on Longevous or Genius for a more offense oriented Fu, but, I don’t recommend 2Pc Wuthering since it doesn’t look like she needs it to survive even in MoC 10.
As for the planar, like everyone else said, Broken Keel is the best for carry team, and Ageless is the best for DoT team, so your choice there.
Fu xuan can drop below 50% hp, its not like her talent stops her from going below it, and her talent heals 90% of the missing amount of HP, meaning she still will benefit from the 4pc. So in reality she will never heal to 100% hp by her talent alone, but very close to it, with wuthering allowing her to get that little bit extra. Also 4pc wuthering will continue to work even after her two talent heals proc, if it ever comes to it, it may help a slight amount.
Overall tho good points, Longevous seems like a good option, and if you can reach her 8k hp threshold then 4pc Genius along with offensive stats would be good for sure. Overall in retrospect, I would probably run Hackerspace myself for the speed, and assuming her Matrix works like Luocha’s heal domain, her Matrix turns might be based on her own turns, but even then the positives of high speed would outweigh the negatives.
So yea I would probably not run 4pc wuthering, but it’s there I suppose if someone has them and can use them fine. Other sets will most likely be better for her.
Wuthering’s 4pc effect procs at the start of characters turn, while Fu Xuan’s talent triggers right away when she’s below 50% hp. And that talent proc doesn’t count as her turn, so wuthering 4 pc will not work, because she will always be above 50% hp when it’s her turn. The only possible exception is if she doesn’t have a stack to proc her talent, but basically you should never allow that to happen if you’re doing everything correctly.
It depends on the play style but I am going full tank, speed boots, HP orb, err rope. So set wise 2 pc Longevous Disciple, 2 pc Messenger Traversing Hackerspace, and 2 pc Broken Kneel. Substats aimed at spd, hp, and effect res.
Lightcone for me is Herta’s shop.
4 Disciple or 2 Disciple 2 Knight. HP in all slots with Keel HP+ER/HP, Inerte if you want her to dmg but Qua+HP
Personally I’m gonna do 2 pc Guard of wuthering snow and 2pc Longevous Disciple because the damage reduction and HP increase will be very helpful for Fu Xuan. For Planar Sphere, You can do Broken Keel or The Xuanzhou’s Lofu’s Celestial Ark. I feel like those two can work on her just fine depending on the team your running.
My future team = Blade, Bronya, Fu Xuan, Loucha
You really don’t need Fu and Loucha on the same team, that’s just overkill. I thought about doing that too until i found out most 5* Healers/Tanks will most likely be able to solo sustain a team by themselves. Keeping Loucha on the bench is smart, but for mirror you’d be much better off separating them and making two teams survivability much easier rather than stright up making one down right invincible while the other has to cope with 2 4*s. You’d be much better served to go with a debuffer instead like SW or Pela or just use another buffer.
@Too much: he wants to remove the aggro from blade? he dosent like his talent xD
The aggro change is minimal. Assuming Blade is paired with three 100-taunt units, swapping in FX for one of them changes Blade’s chance to be hit from 29.4% to 25%, in other words he gets hit 85% as often as he would without FX. Further, since she should be replacing a healer, you should note that FX also gives max HP and Crit Rate. More often than not, replacing your healer with FX will ultimately cause Blade to deal more damage.
This patch is crazy.
Fu Xuan (with Lynx or not) completing mono Quantum.
Then there is Dan Heng IL, who is so strong, he could powershouse (with the usual supports) any enemies even if not weak.
Your team will be complete.
silverwolf + mono quantum is going to be insanely broken
seelechuds we keep winning
Not until theres Quantum harmony. QQ or lynx both sound kinda mid for 4th spot as they dont rly help seele out.
I guess we can take “mono quantum” one of two ways.
In the literal sense, yes mono quantum isn’t optimal yet. Lynx does absolutely nothing on Fu Xuan’s team and QQ subdps sounds like a meme.
But practically speaking, you don’t actually need 4 quantum to have the equivalent effect of mono quantum.
Every boss in the game has 3 weaknesses so you can fill the 4th slot with any support that matches one of them and you still get guaranteed quantum weakness from SW. Bronya, Pela and Tingyun cover all existing enemies and their contribution to Seele’s damage is comparable.
So while full mono isn’t here yet, having 3 quantum on the team and an adaptive support slot already allows us to achieve the same effect.
QQ is not that bad a sub DPS at E6. Sure her dmg will drop more then dmg of other characters (she would deal about 64% of her normal dmg if you were to run her SP-neutral), DanHeng for example would deal 74% of his dmg if you were to run him SP neutral, but her dmg is higher then that of DanHeng and is similar to Seele at E0 with Herta shop lightcone. I’d say 1.64 Seele dmg is not half bad, considering that contrary to harmony unit QQ will contribute quite a bit of break
Lynx does just fine as a skill point generator and cleanser. Seele needs lots of skill points, a skill point generator is kinda needed. Stick her with buffing relics and watch as her normals do ok damage for what normals can do.
Fu does not like being CCed. It stops her res for E2, her Heal from talent and you don’t want to spam her skill for consistent debuff immunity because once again, Seele likes to use up skill points.
I’m afraid neither of these arguments sound convincing.
If you only have Lynx on the team to generate SP… anyone else could do the same (or more). Pela only ever uses SP to remove enemy buffs. Tingyun only uses SP once every 3 Seele turns (full turns, Resurgence does not consume the stacks). Bronya can be SP-neutral or SP-positive in addition to launching Seele’s dmg into the stratosphere. You could even stick Clara in there for emotional support and the occasional subdps.
Anything else would be a better use of that 4th slot than a healer who doesn’t have a reason to heal.
And secondly, Fu Xuan’s trace (Liuren, the Sexagenary) automatically negates crowd control once per use of skill, and you can refresh it, effectively making your team immune to control because you will almost never run into a combat situation that tries to CC you twice within one turn. It will be very difficult for Fu Xuan to get CCd in the first place, so Lynx would not even have a chance to cleanse her.
Fu Xuan makes Lynx (or any other healer for that matter) redundant. Forcing a full mono quantum team if one of the members is just there to provide moral support sounds like a waste of Fu Xuan’s (and the 4th member’s) potential.
Don’t get me wrong, Lynx is still going to be a great healer in her own right. But she has antisynergy with Fu Xuan so if you want her to shine, you should put them on separate teams.
With Lynx’s E6 she gives a good HP boost to Fu actually, as well as 30% effect res. Making it so Fu herself is attacked rather than team mates also allows Fu to regen her ult more often, so it’s not what i’d call anti synergy. Also every once and awhile, while it may be rare, a nice little Lynx heal may actually be needed. Or you may just like to keep your teams HP topped up. Tho i myself would just rather gain an extra skill points at the start from the healer 4/pc and just keep spamming normals for 90% of content. Sure if i actually need someone else i may go ahead and use them, but lets be honest… with SW and Fu… no one else is going to be needed in this team, you could very well go in with just those two and Seele. The last ones really only there to regen skill points no matter who you choose.
I mean, you got lynx there as just a skill point generator that doesnt contribute anything else really, and compare it to Pela who would give an AoE Def shred that’d flat out increase your Seeles damage by ~40% WHILE providing skill points just as much, if not more (wind set + tutorial <3)
Or you use skill with Lynx occasionally for the atk buff, but then you could also just use TY for a way bigger atkbuff and an Ult that would also boost Seele up.
Basically, just Lynx for mono quantums sake is a waste of space if you can solosustain with Fu, because there are units that could provide much more while not being part of the Quantum element.
Now you could argue, in a prolonged battle where Fu gets CCd twice in a row, Lynx could be a good unit to have for that very very very specific situation, and although the RNG for it happening will be low, it could happen. But then again, boosting your teams damage by 40+% (with either TY or Pela) will shorten the duration of the fight by so much, that it'll just reduce the chances of your scenario ever happening. Only time Fu+Lynx should be used is if you are new-ish to the game and dont have your dps built, but for Seele-havers to not have her built yet enough to <8cycle a fight is just extremely unlikely.
I don’t see the need of another buffer that sometimes likes to take skill points away to do their stuff. I’d also rather just go into every fight rather than looking at the enemy team and choosing the buffer to make sure i get 100% quantum for SW. It’s just simply not needed. Lynx also does pretty decent damage with her normal’s which is fine. The games not that hard, no need to try hard and absolutely max out your damage. Just take it easy. 99% sure a full quantum team could auto play mirror it’s going to be that good. Depending on how auto play handles Fu’s and Lynx’s kit that is. Once another quantum character comes out i will probably replace Lynx for them especially if they are a low SP cost DPS like Blade. Here’s hoping. I would use Qingque but she loves to hog skill points so Seele hates her. Now you could argue that you could just normal other than when you ult to then get a burst enhanced along with it, which is true, but icba to build her when she’ll at most add like 10% DPS to my team + Lynx’s mats are already sorted. I hope if a new quantum DPS does come out that they use another set, so tired of farming the quantum set. My SW’s still isn’t done yet.
Why play mono quantum team, Seele is mid, please, give Fu Xuan and SW to someone stronger.
Seele is still the best straight up DPS in the game… Please, oh please tell me you’re not still looking at that stupid DPS chart that does not even count her extra turns OR her bloody 90% damage boost and 20% quantum res red that you get from killing enemies. Not only that, but it gives all the DPS atk% boots when most other DPS actually need to use spd just to try and keep up with Seele. Seele can actually use those shoes without losing turns.
Im a qingque main. gonna be op as well.
OvO…
My 1st team is Jing+Ting+Bailu+Asta and my 2nd team is Blade+Luocha+Bronya+Pela now, can Fuxuan join JingYuan’s team instead of Bailu? Or can E2 Fuxuan+LC join blade team without healer??
Yes
2nd ascension is obviously good. At 7000 HP is like 483.
Mind you, this is a Preservation unit. Slap on her an ERR and her Sig. and you got yourself some sort of a healer.
I have seen a Fu Xuan healer video and I’m traumatized.
What an insanely broken healer option for Blade – almost enough to make me regret pulling for Kafka. Almost.
dis is fu xuan she isnt a healer
You haven’t fully looked at her kit plus her light cone.
okay, 5% of fu xuan hp is not nearly enough for blade, and a lightcone is seperate, not everyone is gonna have it.
Her light cone make her healer enough, considering the hardest activity MoC need certain turns to be finished.
I’d rather run Luocha with Blade and Fu Xuan on my other team.
Running her with Blade will massively reduce his ultimate’s damage output. I strongly advise everyone not to run them together
It really won’t. Too many people discount her skill’s buffs.
Assuming consistent 2-turn ults, which is already not going to happen , Blade is already consuming an average of 40% max HP per ult from skill and attacks. If he didn’t get hit at all, his ult at 40% tally vs at 90% tally is a loss of about 25% damage from ult (or 31% at E1). Sources I’ve seen say Blade’s ult is responsible for about 25-30% of his damage, so that’s an overall pre-multipliers-damage-output loss of around 9.3% in absolute worst-case scenarios. 2-turn ults aren’t going to happen, so that tally goes from 40 to 60% with 3-turn ults (which still won’t happen consistently), or worst-case losses of about 5.55%. Further, most of us don’t have E1 Blade, so the overall loss drops to 3.75%. I was also generous in assuming that Blade never got hit, so it would drop even lower.
There’s also the argument that you lose talent damage because, without a healer, many ults will be used to heal, and therefore not give stacks. Considering that, and the aggro changes from having a Preservation unit on the team, and you’re looking at a further ~8% total damage loss in worst-case scenarios.
That’s pre-multipliers. Factor in the fact than FX gives max HP and Crit Rate with her skill, and your overall damage output is more likely to increase (by a small margin) with FX in place of a healer. This all depends on your Blade’s current stats (HP, Crit Rate, Crit Damage), though, so you’ll have to do your own calculations. My Blade (6250 HP, 67% Crit Rate, 157% Crit DMG) with FX could see anywhere from 95-106% of his of his current damage depending on luck and circumstance, skewed towards the higher (more realistic) end, as opposed to the worst-case scenario end.
At 8k HP, 75% Crit Rate and with base 50% Crit Damage (lower crit damage shifts the range down), it would be around 90-100%. That’s an average of 95% of your normal damage, where the two ends are worst-case and good-case. If the ends were worst-case and best-case, this 95% would be even higher.
Please do the math before claiming that something will “massively reduce” damage output. Yes, there were many assumptions made in my calculations, but all were in favor of disproving my argument, as assumptions should be. Overall, it depends on your Blade, but I’d wager that for most people, pairing him with FX would have a negligible effect on damage in either direction.
Your assumption that blade can always consume 40% hp from skill and attack is wrong without a healer.
Without a healer, blade is going to be at 1 hp, at some point, and his skill/enhanced basics no longer consumes hp and you lose massive damage from both talent and ult.
I know this because I have been playing a ton of gepard + blade, and blade covers between 1% and 50% after the fight goes over 3-4 cycles…
Except the assumption is correct. Every time he ults, his HP is set to 50%, and thus every ult can have at least 50% tally. Also, it’s not as though he is stuck at 1 HP without the ult; there would be further healing from talent, attacking weakness-broken enemies, and even from FX’s second passive. I’d say getting at least 60% every ult is quite easy.
I will, however, concede that I did not consider the talent stacks lost due to reaching 1hp. Figuring you’re at 50% because you just ulted, a three-turn ult cycle would see 3 stacks from skill and the first 2 attacks, with no stack from the third attack. So you lose 25% of your stacks at worst. If at any point during that 3-turn cycle you: trigger talent, attack a weakness-broken enemy, get healed by FX or take damage from attacks that deal less than 10% of your life, then no stacks will have been lost during that cycle, and no damage would be lost via talent.
He can very easily take himself down by 90%
Fu Xuan poses other issues for him:
Takes away aggro and doesn’t heal a lot
I am at 20 pity guarantee.
Please Fu xuan come early please please pelese If you do I’ll save for your lc for you next re-run.
