Story

Head

Before making the deal, the merchant is extra cautious, with vigilant bodyguards scanning the crowd for anything suspicious.
To work undercover in this decadent district, all magical girls must remain on high alert.

"This is no challenge for us Magical Girl Troupe."
Without their idol outfits, and with their perfectly disheveled hair, the magical girls instantly blend in with the crowd, infiltrating the city according to plan.
Under the dim lights, their candy-colored hairpins serve as their secret insignias to identify each other.
"Café team in position." "Crossroads team in position." "Target spotted."
...
"We are the messengers who protect all that is beautiful!"

"It's them! Those super-strong pretty girls!" wails one of the fleeing suspects, his face black and blue. "Now Big Bro's been caught too. They're gonna get a medal for this!"

Over time, hairpins gradually took on the true meaning of "medals."
Some magical girls would add a new bead to it after completing a mission, and they came to love this fashionable way of displaying their glory even more.

Hands

Magical girls embody the beautiful wishes of Planarcadia, yet they walk closest to the grotesque.
Bizarre and dangerous imagenae, nauseating murder scenes, violent and unstable criminals... this is the daily reality they face.

After a day of grueling work, their pristine white gloves are smudged with dirt, dust, and blood, yet they must keep smiling.
"Come on, you're a magical girl, how can you talk to me with such a gloomy face?"
"A real-life magical girl, like in the comics! Are you working? Show me some magic!"
"What's the point? You're just part of the scenery."
...

Melancholy and despair gnaw away at the pure hearts of magical girls. According to a widespread urban legend, they'll suddenly vanish from their teams without a trace, becoming devils who hunt down their former companions.
But beyond these unverified ghost stories, there are indeed many heartbreaking stories about magical girls.

"A magical girl who left due to injury sobbed her heart out while downing drink after drink over her gloves!" the drunken Fool joked, "Because her digital pet died again!"
That digital pet was named "Dodo," left behind by her fallen team leader.
On her wrist rested a tiny grave, in honor of that magical girl.

Body

The magical energy of a magical girl comes from the Wishpower of the citizens. To maintain public support, magical girls often double as idols performing on stage.
But Planarcadia is never short of novel entertainment. Thus, even as a beloved classic icon for years, magical girls are also constantly innovating to stay in the spotlight.

They join livestreaming teams, collaborate with trendy works, and release more accessible songs... yet the audience clamors for more. More sorrow, more joy, more devotion, and anything else that will keep boredom at bay.

It all began with an unexpected incident: During a live show, several magical girls protected the audience from an evil imagenae, gaining an unexpectedly positive reception.
This gradually evolved into a staged spectacle: A group of magical girls, acting as villains, would interrupt the performance, only to be dramatically defeated by another group of them.
"They'll protect us, with their magical rocket launchers and magical heart lasers!" The audience's eyes sparkled with exhilaration and anticipation.

The laughter must not cease, and the joy must not falter. The girls' skirts whirl in a frenzy until the very last ounce of their strength is spent.
When the curtain falls, the crowd departs, delighted, and greedily awaiting the next spectacle of Elation.

Feet

The Magical Girl Troupe promised the citizens of Planarcadia: Any crime will be dealt with in fifteen minutes.
This itself was no difficult task for magical girls, but sometimes, such promises became an excuse for others to toy with them for amusement.

"You really showed up! How about a photo, gorgeous messengers?"

Running without purpose drains one's strength, and protection without respect frays promises.
The boots, originally designed to be light for pursuing enemies, grew heavy with their dejection.

"To ensure we never miss a genuine cry for help, and to ensure we're always there when every second counts, we will never stop running," declared the leader of the Troupe. "But make no mistake: I will not let those who made a mockery of our promise get away with it."

Those who defiled the contract are as guilty as the traitors. Thus, the girls cast a spell upon their boots.
The next morning, a group of runners appeared in the streets of Planarcadia. Their faces were filled with terror, yet their legs carried them tirelessly onward, pausing only for those in need.

That is the magic called "The Promise," and it is also the first vow of all magical girls.
