It seems to heavily depend on your DPS + Harmony combo.
I can see Jingliu + Bronya/Sparkle working, Topaz + Asta, or Dr.Ratio + Yukong(?).
can ANYONE actually use this effectively?? this feels like a downgrade compared to rendesvouz or the battle isn’t over
Certainly. First of all, this LC will be added to the Forgotten Hall LC shop, which makes it easy to get S5 even for the completely F2P. This LC would be a viable option for a skill-heavy Bronya or Yukong who may not have Battle Isn’t Over (or may not have 2 copies, one for each of them). Dreamville’s buff is also larger than Planetary Rendezvous’s unless you have PR at S4-5, since you can always get S5 Dreamville.
Even if you have plenty of all three LCs, their use cases are pretty different:
Battle Isn’t Over requires speed tuning, which can be a pain to build and (outside of Bronya) is easily messed up by enemy CCs.
Planetary Rendezvous is only useful when your Harmony character and your damage dealer(s) have the same element.
Dreamville Adventure is useful whenever your Harmony character can match the move of your damage dealer(s).
There are scenarios when Dreamville is a great option, while the others are terrible. For example, it’s highly effective on Hanya on most teams, providing a teamwide 20% Skill DMG with full uptime. When your damage dealer(s) are about to Ult, just use Hanya’s Ult first to change it to 20% Ult DMG temporarily. On the other hand, Rendezvous only works on Hanya if you’re running Argenti/Clara/Sushang.
Another scenario is using Asta on a QQ or IL team. She can generate skill points for them while providing 20% Basic DMG, which again can change to Ult DMG by using QQ/IL’s Ult right after Asta’s. With E6 Asta against a fire-weak enemy, she can even maintain all 5 of her ATK% stacks after using her Technique (or spending one turn to Skill to build them up).
