| Character Story: Part I | Hyperborea, the Northern Empire. A frigid realm where ambition burns without end. Since the childless sovereign fell, the throne sits vacant while the empire tears itself apart in endless civil strife. Refugees who lost their homes resort to begging to survive. A wounded girl with unusual blue hair stands out starkly against the pristine snow. "Only the royal family blessed by Talanton possesses such flame-like blue hair, and only the chosen ones have golden blood flowing through their veins..." An ambitious aristocrat takes in the beggar girl simply from just a passing glance, and begins spreading rumors of a lost princess. They lead her onto a magnificent high stage where the aristocrat raises her arm high. From her pricked fingertip drips blood as golden as dawn itself. The crowd below grows wild with excitement, and that heated anticipation seemingly sets her ablaze as well. "From this day forward, you are Princess 'Cerydra'." The aristocrat leads her into the palace, where she's dressed in ornate, heavy garments. "Cery...dra?" A single moment of hesitation earns her a slap so sharp it nearly brings tears to her eyes. "I am... I am... Cery...dra..." "I am Cerydra." "I am her." She controls her trembling as distant screams fade away. — Those were the screams of the previous princess. She studies royal etiquette daily until the tight corset no longer causes pain, until she can confidently deliver speeches... "As the princess is still young, I shall serve as regent and oversee the Hyperborean Empire's affairs." The aristocrat gathers support in her name while seizing royal authority. "She's merely a pawn we can discard, but she plays her role well enough to keep around." In the shadows, the new regent exchanges knowing smirks with the chancellor. Endless days in captivity blur together as the young "princess" reluctantly abandons the distant shimmer of stars to focus on her chessboard. This is the game for her self-preservation. "Proud princess. Those eyes of yours, always watching, always hiding... They are like..." "Like what?" With barely any effort, she will soon reach the border of the chessboard. "Like a flame soon to ignite..." With a bittersweet smile, her teacher places down the final chess piece. After thousands of matches, there's no longer a chess strategy the princess has not mastered. * Unlocked at Character Level |
| Character Story: Part II | The imperial maids and guards have no power or status, yet they become the ever-present eyes throughout the shifting court. She wins them with favors, gathers intelligence, and weaves a complex web of strategies. Old aristocrats who despise the new king secretly plot rebellion, placing assassins among the royal guards. She plays the willing conspirator while secretly positioning her "knights" who will do the dirty work. The empire's citizens revere her fabricated bloodline, so she extends charity to the elderly and supports the vulnerable. Her rising reputation wins them over, making them into "rooks" who will dominate the board. "Meet me in my tent at the third quint of Curtain-Fall Hour. Urgent matters to discuss in private, Your loyal chancellor." As the sealed note finds its way to her, she knows her essential "bishop" has entered play, with each courtier now conspiring in pursuit of their covert desire for military expansion. Candlelight dances across the tent, casting shadows of deceit. The chancellor wears a smile as hollow as a faded portrait. "The northern territories share nothing with the south's gentle warmth." He points to the map sprawled before them, "Lingering here will be Hyperborea's undoing. I've secured the continent's most formidable mercenaries. The regent requests that you personally lead the campaign..." She knows they see her as expendable, ready to blame her for any failure that might occur. But she's waited far too long. Without a daring gamble, how could she ever hope to turn the tables? Crossing the mountains of Epos, she seizes the opportunity when Loukas rises in rebellion. She crushes their forces while recruiting the Chrysos General Fortunado to her side, winning the army's loyalty. City after city falls as Hyperborean armies advance like an unstoppable blaze. The blue-haired girl raises her banner, sending thundering hooves toward her chosen targets. She watches her army build up, knowing her final "pawns" are positioned for checkmate. On that dark, snowy night, the triumphant princess rides a silver-white steed, leading her forces through the capital gates to proclaim new edicts... "From this day forward, I shall bring justice to Hyperborea!" They drag the regent "king" who wears the false crown from his chambers, while his loyalists who refuse to bend find only soldiers' steel awaiting them. "She... she is not Cerydra!" From her throne of judgment, she draws her blade across her palm and golden blood trickles down as the crowd mocks him, drowning the "king" in despair. "This regent 'king' has governed with depravity, plunging the empire into chaos. By the authority of the Law, I hereby sentence you..." In the bitter northern winds, her blue hair dances wildly, blazing like fire against the pale sky. "Death by fire!" Amid the flames, she places the imperial crown upon her head, her only trophy of war. A flicker of cobalt fire awakens atop the crown, never to be quenched again. * Unlocked at Character Level |
| Character Story: Part III | The tripartite prophecy spreads from Janusopolis to the city-states in endless strife throughout the land. "Saving the world... has never been of a chessmaster's interest." She ponders the prophecy, envisioning a fiery future unfolding before her. "But to challenge gods who see themselves as rulers, and even venture beyond the sky... now that's a game worth playing!" Through the endless night, she draws golden-blooded children of humanity like a brilliant flame: In Okhema's Council, Chrysos Heirs and common folk alike share the right to debate and vote. Magnificent libraries rise from the ground, granting all access to knowledge of the Flame-Chase mission. As ancient military orders crumble into dust, a gladius of the deep is drawn to shore, following the perfume of blood and fire to serve as her blades. In the political waters of the holy city, the Goldweaver of Okhema rises on the horizon, and the trembles of golden threads entangle the people's fates. ... Yet her chessboard is etched in golden blood, and she plays against gods themselves. Though she trades burning pain for her crown and suffers eternal infancy for the future, the scales of victory have never truly tipped in humanity's favor. "Losses are a constant on the Flame-Chase journey..." "Only through a worthy sacrifice can we gain a befitting victory. But to topple gods, this is far from enough..." Day and night she studies the board, concealing her anxieties from any watchful eyes. "If you're the chess master, then that makes us the pawns, right?" Without waiting for an answer, the girl who wields a sword like a musical instrument wipes blood from her hands and nods. "I understand now." Only in moments like these would the proud empress fall uncharacteristically silent. "If only..." A trace of bitterness flickers across her face. "No, there are no 'if onlys' anymore." Before the battle to claim the Ocean's Coreflame, she stands once more upon the platform, looking down at five hundred subjects who hold their breath, awaiting her decree. "My warriors..." As her voice resounds, cheers erupt throughout the crowd. "Today, the 'Ocean' shall surrender to us, and the beast of 'Destruction' will become our unstoppable weapon. Now, raise your cups! To our conquest of the sea of stars!" She knows that only a crimson sea of no return awaits ahead, but she must wear the mask of the unflinching ruler. In that moment, the wisdom of her teacher whispers to her again... "Chess is the art of sacrifice." "Your hands must accept death before touching the board." * Unlocked at Character Level |
| Character Story: Part IV | "Drip." A drop of blood falls into water, sending golden ripples across the surface. "Dux Gladiorum, have you thought about where our paths might lead after this battle ends?" The sword-wielding girl stands in thoughtful silence before shaking her head. "After the rebellion settles, we'll head for the stars. You'll find your crystal-clear ocean out there, I promise." With a faint smile, she lifts her scepter skyward. "The gods have pitted us against each other, letting Amphoreus end its own life in the cosmos. So I'll turn my blade on them, on every god, whether in our world or beyond." "Drip." A drop of blood falls into water, sending golden ripples across the surface. "Dux Gladiorum, what if someday I command you to turn your blade against me?" The girl remains silent, assuming it's just another of her cruel jokes. "I'd want your sharpest edge. Anything less would dishonor those who sacrificed themselves for my cause." She tosses the chess piece that represented herself off the board. "See? To lose is to gain. New paths have emerged." "Drip." A drop of blood falls into water, sending golden ripples across the surface. "Dux Gladiorum, who do you think can take up the heavy burden of the Flame-Chase journey once we're gone?" In perfect unison, their gaze falls upon the distant "Goldweaver." "That little golden trout will one day become the most magnificent fish in this pond." "Drip." A drop of blood falls into water, sending golden ripples across the surface. "Many speculate about what I traded with Talanton. Was it the power of endless victory, or the authority of law... Heh. I've never needed any divine help for those..." The silhouette of her past companion faded away. She felt the cold creeping in, the sky pitch black like a starless cave. Long ago, she had also witnessed, in bone-chilling cold, a child with golden blood being taken away. "But in this world that devours people, having golden blood... is the only chance to overthrow everything. Even if... I must live like this for the rest of my life..." The blue-haired girl closes her eyes. "But I've only wished for one thing... since the beginning..." From a beggar child nearly frozen to death in the wilds, to a princess who was no better than a puppet, then to a commander who challenged gods... She personally elevated herself from pawn to player, only to sacrifice herself when the endgame demanded it... "I wish to conquer the tyrannical fate of this world!" * Unlocked at Character Level |

say what if someone like jingliu were to use their enhanced skill and run out of synergy stacks would the enhanced skill be used or not?
in another scenario like archer is there a chance of triggering multiple skill usage since they occur in the same turn? or will he just generate more charges for mm
in a hypothetical scenario (like future character) what about skills that can only be used under very specific conditions or if there are cases that disable the said said will it be replicated anyway
her kit is so ass only tailored to phainon? even on ANAXA she’s average there’s no difference with Sunday+robin core, ez saving for cyrene, and wth those hairstyle looks ugly asf design wise hysilens better
Even for Phainon people say his E1 and General supports are a bit to even arguably noticeably higher Damage then E0 Phainon and Cerydra.
How much speed does she need guys ? I building a set for her. 145 is fine ? (cuz her talents give her 20)
I have an E2 The Herta and I’m wondering if Cerydra’s double skill would give The Herta a total of 70% AP up
Since The Herta E2 says it AP ups by 35% during empowered skill
I’ve seen some say its not the best combo, Cerydra and The Herta since The Herta eats her own Interpretation stacks on the 1st skill but I think it would be neat to double skill and AP more than usual (only if it does work)
i have e2s1 big Herta, e0s1 Anaxa, would Cerydra be better than Tribbie in this case?
so, some observations:
The skill copy is most impactful for characters whose damage is spiky. That is, characters who have some skill turns that are build up and some that are discharge–characters who have those big turns a disproportionate amount of their damage and want those copied but don’t care as much about the rest.
so Phainon. he really wants to copy the meteor but the other moves aren’t nearly as important.
while characters with smooth damage profiles won’t really care about. a character like phainon who’s damage profile per turn is spiky like 15%, 15%, 15%, 55% REALLY wants to copy the 55 and doesn’t care about the others. someone who has an even spread of 20, 20, 20, 20, 20 doesn’t benefit nearly as much if just one of those is doubled
because she generates charge on her ult, and… you know, she generates most of her energy on her own turns… for most characters you will probably be getting an extra skill significantly faster than every 6 turns. which means it’s a higher proportion of skills than 1/6. most dps will probably get an extra skill one turn out of every four or so.
[actually, since you need to build 6 charge and the skill isn’t copied until after you’ve done that, and the copied skill doesn’t contribute to Charge… huh, it’s one copy every seven attacks, not six…]
unless your name is Archer of Phainon, that is. Archer being a machine gun ironically means he gets LESS benefit from cerydra’s skill copy, because a smaller percentage of his attacks get the bonus. he has to supply all the Charge himself, instead of cery helping with as many ults. getting an eighth arrow for every seven really isn’t all that impactful.
phainon is cool with that though, he REALLY wants to copy that meteor. just make sure you don’t waste her Charge on a generator skill
aside from that, I think her best comparison is OG Tingyun (but more so and a cool extra effect that certain characters really want but most won’t care about). Gives a lot of Atk, speed (… why does that only last three turns when her skill apparently doesn’t have a duration? I hope they change that to refresh on ult, since that applies her skill if there isn’t one on the field)… hell, she even helps with energy, since the copied skill generated it for the carry. while being more sp positive and contributing more personal damage.
I think the 3 turn limit is probably to prevent her from being too good for someone like Firefly (who cares a lot about SPD and ATK and not much else). While FF still wants proper break supports, an unconditional 1000 ATK (=80 break effect) and 20 SPD is too nice for a support not meant for her to begin with.
Oof forgot about the one-convertion limit, FF gets the 1k ATK but doesn’t get BE from it. Currently the only other archetype leaning heavily into ATK and SPD would be DoT, but DoT has these covered by Kafka’s passive and Hysilens LC or Ruan Mei.
This limitation is less impactful than I thought. But anyways it might just be HYV not feeling like giving us ATK and SPD buffer, SP generator*, and a sub-DPS all in one, not to mention her skill duplication.
*If the buff is permanent, Cery can use one skill and then basics only like RMC, which triples her net SP contribution. That’s quite something, since she’s fast.
For Saber would it be Sunday or Cerydra or both for her?
Sunday definitely. He has everything she wants, but especially the battery. Seiba wants all the energy you can give her.
For Cerydra, it really depends on whether copying the enhanced skill repeats the energy gain from converting dragoncore stacks, and how reliably you can land the copy on doing so. Remember that Seiba can overfill her energy to an extent.
note that, even then, most of Seiba’s damage comes from her Ultimate, which Cerydra doesn’t buff much.
Seiba’s current best team is almost assuredly Sunday/Huohuo/X, and I don’t think Cerydra is anything special in that last spot. The chatter is that Cyrene in patch 3.7 will give teamwide energy reliably, she’s probably the last piece of the team.
I’m prepping for Cerydra and haven’t gotten to relics/planers. Does anyone have early calcs for relics/planers? or are we thinking a new relic set will come out? oh and any thoughts on preferred speed or er requirements?
currently I plan to go for lightcone to, but just in case, any calcs on best f2p cone?
No calcs but, here’s what I think:
Eagle or Sacerdos, depending on how much the DPS cares about the duplicate skill; and Lushaka, since she wants ERR and buffs ATK herself (so the DPS should be one who benefits from ATK).
ATK on everything except ERR rope and SPD boots.
I think Cery would want to be as fast as possible, since none of her abilities are tied to her own turns, and she wants frequent ult to stack charge. The exact amount of ATK you’d want to sacrifice for SPD though, again depends on whether the DPS cares more about the skill duplication or ATK & other buffs.
Maze Restaurant Forever (the new 4* LC in 3.5) might be the best; For tomorrow’s Journey improves her personal damage a bit; Poised to Bloom would be useful for THerta (assuming Cery works with her); these three all have unconditional ATK plus a bit more.
Dreamville Adventure is meh due to Cery might want to use her ult to fill charge and thus making Dreamville’s buff unstable, and the buff is smaller for being teamwide, while Cery being a single target buffer shines the most in hypercarry teams.
And then there’s always DDD if you need the action advance (since Cery can’t use Messenger).
that sound great! ill consider all of it, thank you! I really like cery’s design in general but I plan to run her with anaxa as hes my current main :).
Anaxa, sunday/RMTB, Gallegher/aventurine, Cerydra, is my current plan for team. so, is she similar to building regular tingyun?
No problem 🙂
Yup, basically builds like regular Tingyun, though she’s considerably more durable and might want to use more SP; if you want to be aggressive, her ATK-to-CDMG trace can be easily maxed out at 4000 ATK, which I’ve got Robin reaching it with a lv 70 For Tomorrow’s Journey. Cery lacks DMG bonus for both her beneficiary and herself, so you might want to adjust the DPS’s build.
Are they really out of ideas for harmony units that they have to make another Bronya sidegrade? Like they really can’t think of any other stats a support can give you other than atk and crit dmg?
I don’t know if you’re ragebaiting but there is no shot that you genuinely think this is remotely similar to Bronya.
The only stats that a harmony character (an offensive support character) should be able to supply are Crit. dam, crit. rate, attack and speed.
Crit rate should VERY rarely be given in a support characters kit considering how powerful a stat it is. That leaves speed, crit damage and attack.
Speed is also ridiculously powerful and usually gets implemented in a different way (advance forwards).
So we now have 2 realistic options for upgrading stats, crit damage and attack. If it’s not a gimmick support that provides other uses (Like Sparkle or Hanya) for a support to be able to compete it needs to give both of these stats. That’s the baseline requirement for a harmony character.
Now about Bronya. The main point of running Bronya is for her advance forward and dmg% increase on next attack. Both of those utilities, are nowhere listed in this kit. Just because Bronya came first, doesn’t mean everything is a copy of her.
Yeah after hearing them say she like Bronya. I search and found no action advance in the kit.
Making me go. What are they talking about? Given harmony units in general offer buffs or is anything that offers crit damage now a copy of Bronya?
she dont have 100% adv or extra turn like brony
only 1 additional skill that require 6 skills to activate
For clarification on Coup de Main and where it says “trigger a Coup de Main when using a Skill on enemies”: When Coup de Main is triggered, it copies the ability that is about to be used, immediately uses it, then uses the original ability.
Site does not really clarify it that much, but it definitely takes a gambit and runs with it.
So this copied skill is base on Crey’s own atk, crt dmg etc, or this copied skill has the exact same dmg as the original skill? If it’s the second case, Crey’s self buffed crit rate and crit dmg seem to be useless……
