Character Details | A Memokeeper of the Garden of Recollection. A mysterious and elegant soothsayer. She often wears a warm smile and is willing to patiently listen to the words of others, thus using such means as a pretext to enter "memories" and gain omniscience over certain matters. A lady passionate about collecting unique memories, yet the thoughts that guide her are hard to glean. |
Character Story: Part I | "She's quite an unusual kid, and I could sense it from the day she was born. It felt like nature itself was celebrating her arrival: The birds chirped, the moon and sun were together in the sky. The cards in my hand seemed to hint at the emergence of a soul steeped in nostalgia. Right from her early years, she had a fascination with stories from the past. She would delve deep into contemplating our origins, our creators, and even the very beginning of the world. Her questions would leave even the most erudite scholars scratching their heads. Sure, some other kids might poke fun at her for asking such deep questions, but aren't those questions important? Life is akin to a winding labyrinth, where memories serve as our sole companions." Afflicted with amnesia, her mother struggled with forgetfulness, making it difficult for her to recognize her family or recall recent events. Clutching the diagnosis of amnesia, she held her mother tightly, attempting to read aloud from the latter's diary. Her mother was physically present, but where was she in the realm of consciousness? She stayed by her mother's side until the end of her life, realizing that her mother had been fading away as her memories became fragmented. If her own memories of her mother were to ever become blurred as well, her mother would completely slip away from her. "Life is akin to a winding labyrinth, where memories serve as our sole companions." For the first time, she comprehended the profound meaning behind these words. * Unlocked at Character Level |
Character Story: Part II | "I arrived on this planet as an explorer. My usual tasks involved observing the flow of rivers, examining the materials of the city's bricks and tiles, analyzing the steepness of roads, and documenting the number and distribution of chimneys... These duties aligned with people's imagination of preserving a planet's 'memories.'" — However, such efforts were far from sufficient. Once I started working in secrecy, I would often come across that girl. Sometimes, sunlight would dance through the leaves as she walked beneath them, disappearing around corners once the street lamps illuminated the surroundings. On other occasions, her gaze would follow a carrier pigeon, which left the High Priest's quarters every Wednesday night, only to return the following morning to the palace's chief of the guards — a known political adversary of the High Priest. Occasionally, she would quietly observe rain trickling into sewers scarred by artillery fired from the opposite shore. And sometimes, waves would dampen her skirts, while an elderly woman washing clothes by the river recounted the story of the previous sovereign and his five illegitimate children. — Few individuals, apart from us, understand that a planet conceals and safeguards its "memories" in such a manner. I trailed behind her until we reached a rock on the moor. I knew that it was the time to invite her. "What do you see?" I asked, in a form visible to her. She pointed at a patch of weeds and the lingering traces. "I see a stone, perhaps once part of a fireplace... But it must hold more significance." I nodded and assisted her in removing the weeds and dirt from the crevices of the stone. "It was once a monument," she murmured, gently caressing the engravings adorning its surface. "Indeed, but the 'memory' holds more significance." Thus, I revealed to her that the stone on the moor had once served as a fireplace, a monument before that, a flowerbed, and even an altar... And before all that, it had simply been a stone on the moor. "What price would I pay if I want to witness those 'memories'?" "People will remain oblivious to your presence unless you are willing to reveal yourself." "Just as people fail to acknowledge the existence of black swans until they encounter one?" "Yes, just like that." Memokeepers travel to numerous planets, collecting the memories of each city they encounter. They are careful not to leave any trace of their presence, ensuring that nobody remembers them, unless they come across someone with the potential to become a Memokeeper, whom they then take away from the city into the vast expanse of the stars. * Unlocked at Character Level |
Character Story: Part III | Many individuals obsess over the glory of the past and aspire to become Memokeepers, longing to live within their memories. Such individuals often degenerate into unbridled Cremators, distorting memories to suit their preferences. However, she is different... I've sensed her unwavering determination and profound respect for memories themselves. Following tradition, I asked her three questions before making her a Memokeeper. "Will you dedicate your whole life to the collection of memories?" "I will." "Will you relinquish your physical form and embrace the transformation of self?" "I will." "If one day you cease to exist, what legacy will you leave behind for the world?" "My memories. They hold seeds from the past, destined for rebirth into the future." Memories come in various forms. Some are trivial and heartwarming, while others are grand and expansive. Some are gentle and meek, while others are wild and untamed... When she became a Memokeeper, her memories became tranquil and serene, like the calm waves that finally found their destined harbor. "What comes to your mind?" The Memokeeper asked. As she opened her eyes, fragments of memories swirled around her. "People tend to believe they are facing the present and the future, yet fail to realize that we are all, in fact, moving toward the past." * Unlocked at Character Level |
Character Story: Part IV | Location: Penacony Date: ██/██/██ Guests: ██, ██, ██, and ██ "A sorrowful memory from ██. This opulent memory, adorned with ostentation and longing, conceals an unknown sadness that will linger for years, influencing its owner for an extended period." "A joyous memory from ██. This dramatic memory is filled with vibrant hues of joy, confusion, and humor, but it can hardly be called true happiness. Such is the future it portrays." "A regrettable memory from ██. The fleeting happiness in this memory is beautiful yet short-lived, like a shooting spark from faded ashes. Cherish your limited moment, dear guest, for it informs me that it shall soon vanish." "A vague memory from ██. This memory is faint, chaotic, and disorienting, akin to an endless downpour with no respite in sight. I yearn to capture the future it points to, whether it be filled with rain or sunshine..." "I saw the figure of a woman, gracefully leaping and transforming amidst images and patterns. No... I'm not crazy, I did indeed see 'her.' I remember her voice, its velvety texture, and the colorful cards in her hands, imbued with some sort of magic... Oh, and she invited me to partake in fortune-telling. She said, 'Whether you want to foresee happiness or misfortune in the future, retrieve lost possessions, or seek unexpected gains... All I need is an honest story, for the past and the future are overlapped on the same point of a single circle.' My head spun, and she exuded such gentleness. I talked so much to her, and she patiently listened to my ramblings... And then, following her divination results, I retrieved a lost mirror for a guest of the hotel! Oh, you asked what I said to her? Oh, nothing important... Just some rumors about the past..." Currently, she journeys through various realms as a diviner, uncovering memories intertwined with her Path and Aeons. She believes that those memories are as enduring as gems, impervious to the eroding forces of oblivion. "Numerous Memokeepers have ventured to Penacony, only to discover it as a mere illusory mirage dancing upon the water's surface." "However, dreams... They represent a distorted form of memories. I shall delve into its depths and catch a fleeting glimpse of the buried memories before those Memosnatchers and Cremators arrive." * Unlocked at Character Level |

I just noticed Sacrament is now called Arcana, which I low key will definitely miss xD
I have a question that I honestly don’t know where else to ask. Sorry if this is kinda dumb.
Now that she has 120 energy. If she is paired with SP Positive Supports, one of which is a healer with Quid Pro Quo S5, can she achieve 3 turn ult if she gets lucky with Quid and plays SP negative? This is assuming she has no ERR rope and her lightcone offers none as well. (Would having a rope work? I own S5 tutorial but I use it on silver wolf and I do not wish to give silver wolf something else as I struggle with the EHR requirements without it so a rope is all I can spare Black Swan)
sacrament is not count as wind shear right? does that mean her e1 only works after the ult? does anyone have calculation for her e1 vs s1 with that?
nvm, it does
I think it doesn’t count as WS because it doesn’t say it does.
https://www.reddit.com/r/BlackSwanMains_HSR/comments/18rlvn0/sacrament_clarification/
found it
Disclaimer since I haven’t seen any updated info but… based on notes from testers, and as far as I’ve seen from earlier leak vids, it is being counted as Wind Shear. I’ve seen her Skill grant 2 stacks even when only her DoT was present: that means 1 from initial effect + 1 from counting each of the DoT types (Shock, Bleed, Burn, WShear) which would only be her DoT.
Supposedly Sampo E4 can detonate it as well, as long as it has 5+ stacks. Can’t confirm this one though if it really requires Sacrament to have 5 stacks itself, since the behavior atm is that as long as *any* WShear has 5 stacks (usually Sampo’s, in this case), other WShears get detonated too (such as Break WShear, hence Break Eff Sampo).
– – –
As for E1 vs S1, well you really have to emphasize that E1’s a team-oriented upgrade which makes it pretty good. Even more so if Sacrament counting as WShear remains until release.
But setting overall benefit aside and looking solely at the instances of damage dealt by herself without outside buffs… Assuming you have 10 Atk% low rolls, DoT set at 3 stacks and Glamoth at 135 Spd, then E1 is also better if you have: S4+ EotP, S2+ GNSW, or Kafka’s LC — ignoring where you’ll get EHR for some of those LCs ofc.
So Sacrament counts as WS by default despite it wasn’t written in her kit? Crazy.
Another crazy thing I heard of is that, unlike other debuffs, Sacrament doesn’t wear off when boss enters phase 2.
This is crazy as it can be, i have seen Mara-struck soldier Arcana stacks remained the same after dying and rebirthed, supposedly an unremovable DoT.
Will Kafka’s light cone suit a black swan?
not so much, BS can use but lack of damage and EHR, require more EHR at relic
does anyone smart can tell me how good is she going to be outside of dots, I planning using her for dr ratio teams so I was wondering if she would do better than welt, or I guess in general outside of dots
– While she has a 20.8% Def Reduc (which is better than Welt’s 12% Dmg Amp by a *very small* margin), her Ult feels a bit wasted since no one else benefits from it. Her Def debuff lasts for 3 turns and Sacrament has no duration, so you practically have 100% uptime on 2 debuffs.
– You could use the Resolution LC on top of that too, but you’d have to pick up the EHR elsewhere to make up for it.
– Speaking of EHR, since she can’t leverage other DoTs to generate more stacks, losing to RNG *can potentially* affect her sub-DPS potential if you fail to hit at least 3-stacks on the adjacent targets.
– As for if you can even hit 7-stacks on the boss target, it’s nigh-impossible without triggering Break (and even then, you *can’t* fail a single roll). You’re gonna need her Ult.
– To make up for bad RNG, you might have to use her Skill more often if the situation calls for it. The adjacents really do need to hit 3-stacks to make a difference since it means the middle boss target takes the 3-stack Blast twice.
There’s some merit to the thought, but running her in a DoT team is just far more convenient for her.
Should i run an ERR rope or Atk% Rope, Atk% orb or Wind Dmg orb since she is already gonna get alot of Wind DMG from traces if i have 120% EHR? Do help a mate out.
Honestly the jury is still out if ERR rope will be a good fit over ATK% rope… One thing is fairly certain, if you are running the “Tutorial” LC on BW, then I’d say run ATK% rope as BS will have a 3-turn cd with just that LC.
Regarding ATK% or Wind Dmg: I’d 100% say take Atk% orb if you are running Ruan Mei in your team since your Damage% will be oversaturated between her and her A6 trace with 120% EHR. If you aren’t running Ruan Mei then it may not be as cut-and-dry but I’d probably still lean Atk% orb if you are rocking a EHR body piece. I’d be looking to hit over 3k attack at least before squeezing more Damage%, personally.
yea im defo running EHR body and planning to pull for her Sig.Lightcone to achieve the 120% EHR, i think ill just run double atk% for the planar for more attack since ill be getting the 72%dmg from her traces
if some wonders how her kit works. look at pure fiction mechanics atm. one of the difference is, the stack increase tru applying DoT with def shred
question, im gonna get her cone too. how much ehr does she still need on gears?
70%
100% is ok, best at 120%
Glad to see they lowered her Energy cost to 120. I mean, 110% would be *ideal* but maybe that would be too good…
I know some people argued that her ultimate isn’t that important to her kit and while it’s not the most important thing, I think it’s still a pretty big deal, especially if you don’t have Kafka. I mention this because some people don’t have Kafka and aren’t looking to pull her during this banner, which is fine as BS still works with the other DoT units but she sorta needs her ultimate for better synergy (in those cases, less so for Kafka)
As someone looking to pick up BS’ signature LC, I was hoping to still have a relatively low rotation without relying on Tutorial for Ultimate uptime. I mean at the end of the day BS’ LC should provide more damage regardless but yeah…
Best relics for her??
the new DoT set with glamoth/SSS
Is she worth to pull if i don’t have kafka? I really like her design but im not going wish for kafka. Can i make a good team with black swan without kafka and clear moc?
This has been answered a few times, but yes, she will work with any DoT team even without Kafka.
In general: Kafka has the least restrictionts to support / synergize (stack sacrament) for Black Swan, since she detonates DoTs unconditonally, but Sampo Luka Gui are able to detonate DoTs with their kit and can detonate her DoT after she uses ult.
Black Swan as a Solo Carry has a slow burn kit like LL or Clara, with no way to front load damage quickly, with the newist change if you have the 1.1 event LC (before the tutoiral begins), she can 2 turn ult (skill skill + hit), which on specific rotations will allow you to get 3 turns of Sacrament stacking instead of 2, but this is a wierd edge case that I like it.
Black swan will make the back loaded damage of any DoT team larger, Kafka makes the front loaded damage of any DoT team higher (In general). Both want at least 1 other DoT DPS in the game, so they complament each other, but are designed to work with even the 3 priamry sub DoT DPS.
Or be me: wait for a week or two then decide. I also heard Acheron is coming up next.
“Don’t be impatient, think carefully before making a decision.” – Ratio Veritas
V4 Changes:
New effect on talent: Whenever an enemy enters combat, 65% base chance to apply a stack of Sacrament on it.
Energy: 130 -> 120
So basically no need to use tutorial LC for 4 turn..
With tutorial and err rope or any a planner which has 5% er then it guarantee 3 turn ult but dps loss
With SW’s event lc: 5 + 8 + 3 * (30 + 8) = 127, Great!
With ERR rope: (5 + 3 * 30) * 1.194 = 113.43, Just a bit more…
With ERR rope and any 5% ERR set: (5 + 3 * 30) * 1.244 = 118.18, Just a bit more…
Then which will be more optimal. Sw lc with 3 turn ult OR eyes of pray s5 for 4 turn ult+40% dot bonus
How much does getting hit produce? That’s basically what lets us be good with just ERR Rope cuz I don’t think the ERR planar sets really work for her
with Tutorial LC, ERR rope, and ERR set, you can get a 2 turn ult if you get hit or a kill.
Is this reasonable, no.
Is it funny yes.
because it means that on certain rotations you’re able to refresh ephinany to double stack. your sacrament.
1.244* (5 + 8 + 2 * (30 + 8) + 10) = 123.156
Seems the talks about Energy cost is warranted. Nice to see it brought down. While it might not be the most game changing thing, the previous 5-turn Ult was just too much for what’s essentially a 2-turn Dmg Amp buff that’s only active a fraction of the time.
Chance to stack Sacrament on spawn is great too. She’s still pretty much tied to Kafka when it comes to the primary target but this helps lessen the times she has to user her Skill. This also ties into my post about how BS herself can guarantee 3 stacks on the adjacent mobs.
– Something I forgot to include in that post but was mentioned by testers, Sacrament also adds 1 stack at the start of enemy’s turn as it is a DoT itself. It’s hard to see in leak videos due to how fast the stack numbers count up and reset during the enemy’s turn, but I’ve seen it in some frames and can confirm.
– This means an adjacent mob receiving 1 stack on spawn, 1 stack from the Boss due to the 3+ stack Blast trigger, and 1 stack from Sacrament during their turn for a total of 3 stacks. She wouldn’t need to spam Skill anymore.
Yes, a kickstarter is a sweet upgrade for a slow-start kit.
Where are you seeing the “new effect on talent”? Unless I keep missing it I don’t see what you’re talking about.
Also it seems you missed that BS got a small buff on her E2. Previously her E2 gave 5 Sacrament stacks to adjacent targets but they recently bumped it up to 6 now.
That’s actually a new effect on a major trace, not on the talent. Doesn’t matter, you will have it any way.
