TitleText
n/aSenior manager of the Strategic Investment Department at the IPC and one of the Ten Stonehearts. His Cornerstone is the "aventurine of stratagems."
An ostentatious risk-taker, he often wears a smile that masks his true motives.
He won his current position by wagering against fate itself. He views life as a high-stakes, high-return investment, and he plays this particular gamble with masterful ease.
n/a"I have something to report to you about the new employee."

"What makes you so worried, Erwin?"

"It's complaints about him, both formal and informal. My mailbox has been flooded with them like countless pieces of paper. I wonder... if it's worth reconsidering his inclusion in the Strategic Investment Department."

"What do these complaints say?"

"Mostly about his origins. Those eyes of his..."
"He once deceived the Marketing Development Department by falsely claiming that there were energy sources hidden in the barren land of Sigonia, not yet effectively developed and utilized. A huge amount of funds was invested into excavating it before we realized it was all a scam."
"And then there's the notorious Egyhazo Aventurine Case. He misled the Intelligentsia Guild into believing that the remains of Tayzzyronth the Imperator Insectorum were buried there. Despite the scholars being extremely cautious, they ultimately still fell into the trap."
"And let's not forget the letters from the councilors of the Sigonian Sovereignty. They denounce his tribe for once breaking agreements and sowing discord, leading to significant changes in the balance of peace between the tribes, resulting in repeated delays in the signing of agreements between Sigonia and IPC. Allowing such an employee to join at the IPC would be a severe detriment to public relations..."

"If these are the extent of the complaints, there's no need to tell me."

"...You already know it all?"

"Each gemstone holds unique value, and our task is to make investments."
"We don't need to appease those stubborn old-timers who sent in complaints, as these rumors will eventually reach... No, they would already have reached his ears. Well, let's take this chance and see how big of a surprise he can bring us."
n/a"You're quite something else, boy... I still can't figure out how you managed to empty out my entire business. But I will never surrender. If push comes to shove, I'll just blow up this whole place... What are you gonna do about it?"
The Mad Bull of Iymanika signals his followers to let go. He raises his head from the table, dusting off his collar.
"You arrogant dogs from the IPC never respected us wanderers, did you? But now that you're in our territory, you'll play by our rules."

Mad Bull empties the cylinder, putting only one bullet in the revolver, and tosses it to the other man's feet.
"Six shots. Fate will decide whether we live or die after a maximum of six shots. Do you have the nerve?"

The other man bends down and picks up the revolver.
"There are too many people who've pointed a gun at me. Some of them even just went ahead and pressed the trigger straight up... Now, guess how come I'm still standing here."
The man stands up, stares into the Mad Bull's eyes, raises the gun, and puts it against his own heart.
"It's because the gun will always end up in my hand."

"And now, this game is making me bored... One in six? That possibly is nowhere near enough. If you want to tempt fate..."
Six consecutive gunshots thunder out in the starship that is wrapped in a deathly silence. After the smoke clears, the man raises the gun again and walks toward Mad Bull. The revolver is now loaded with a fresh bullet.
"You need to learn how to turn yourself into a die first."
"...You won't surrender, but why? Because you have this lousy game of chance? Or..."
He points the gun into the darkness.
"Because of her?"

A woman holding a pistol emerges slowly from the direction the revolver points. The Mad Bull acts as if he found a lifeline when he sees her.
"Madam Jade, this is not what we agreed upon..."
At that moment, both of them opened fire simultaneously, and two figures dressed in black fall from the shadows behind each of them.

"The IPC has enemies everywhere, right?" The woman calmly holsters her pistol, takes out her cosmetic mirror, and inspects her appearance.
"You used our lives as bait, making them believe there was internal strife between us, and then you eliminated them all... A clever trick, although a bit reckless." He greets the woman with a smile, although his hands tremble slightly.

"Trick? No, it was just a test."
The elegant lady opens her palm, revealing a shimmering aventurine of peculiar hues.
"There's nothing strange about it. Gemstones are destined to be... desired, sought, cut, and sold."
"However, there's so much more you can do. It all depends on how you see yourself."
n/aHe walks into the room at the furthest end of the corridor, remembering how he was still a grotesque prisoner the last time he came here. Now, he stands with his back straight and faces those who sit at the very top of the department.

He listens to the blond woman as she reads out the lengthy and boring report. Those cold, unfeeling numbers cannot convey the dangers that accompanied him as he walked on the thin line between life and death, nor can they communicate how much he had lost and gained during the journey. He is simply curious whether she is human or an Intellitron.

The aventurine, that symbol of power and of the future, is about to be officially handed to him — Yet it would have no more allure or value in his eyes as soon he obtains it, even though he had sought it by putting his life on the line.

"Do you have any more questions, Aventurine?" Jade, the only person he knows among the presently gathered, asks at the end of the meeting.

"The Avgins in Sigonia... what happened to them afterward?"

"Unfortunately, there are no more Avgins in Sigonia. You're the last lucky dog."

"What about those people who helped me on planet ██? Now I can finally repay their kindness."

"They are no more, either."

...

He returns to his office in a daze. The aventurine stone emits a peculiar glow on his desk, seemingly congratulating and mocking him at the same time.
"Was luck truly on your side when you wrestled with fate?"
n/a"Penacony... Is Diamond finally ready to do something about it?"
The miniature model on the table continues to rotate, the crystalline memory bubble emitting tiny spheres of foam.

"This historic debt is utterly unimaginable. So, the profit involved is also... shockingly high."
The person in front of him has their back turned to him, gazing instead at the purplish-red sky of Pier Point at sunset.

"But why me?"
The person continues to face away from him. Keen though his eyes are, he can not decipher the true intentions behind the decision.

"It should have been me, but Diamond believes that The Family still had some value in cooperation and hopes this affair still has some room for a peaceful resolution."
"So, after some thought, I've concluded that you're the best candidate."

"This is only our second conversation ever. Do you trust me that much?"

"No, I've never trusted you. Perhaps Jade does, but I don't."
"Maybe luck won't be on your side this time, and the bill for all your past good fortune will come due."

Finally, the person in front of him turns around. The distant skyscraper reflects a kaleidoscope of colors like an opal stone, while a music box plays on its own.
"But isn't that what you've been longing for?"

  1. Hello!
Need some help and wondering if my Aventurine is still plausible.
I am still farming the 4 piece pioneer set for efficiency since im still working on the set for ratio so I planned this out for 4piece pioneer + inert salsetto

These are my current Aven Stats that I plan with S1
    Aven:
DEF:2937 (includes LC, Level80, and traces)
    SPD: 131
    CD: 188.4 (including from LC)
CR: 17% (set bonus, excluding 48% since I dont have 4k DEF yet

I have locked in 3 pieces into this build just cuz of the great substat rolls I got.
    CD Body (pioneer)
    SPD Feet (pioneer)
    IMG DMG Sphere (salsettos)

I aim to have at least 135 SPD, 80% CR, 200% CD and of course 4000+DEF
Wondering if this is still feasible or should I scrap and go 2 knights, 2 blaze? And if I stick with these should I go 2 pioneer, 2 blaze or 4piece?
I am definitely still trying to get a good DEF% rope to bump it up to 3648.

So overall I would need at least….. with 3 flexible pieces to work with.
    26.7% DEF
    4 SPD
    15% CR
    10% CD

    • You can prob use a good 2pc Pioneer + 2pc Knight for more comfort compared to 4pc Pioneer. Problem here is farming the knight set. 4pc Pioneer is also pretty iffy on Aventurine, since he should have alot of CV to work with so getting more base stats like Dmg% or Defense is more desirable.

and yeah only 2.9k Defense when you have his signature is pretty low. For your stat targets its actually not unrealistic, since he gets alot of CV alone from trace and LC, but to get that amount of defense you would need a defense sphere, and you already said you locked in Img% sphere.

Basically the gist of it is that either:
      A. Try to get a good Def% Sphere to replace the Img% orb (Not needed if you manage to hit good Defense)
      B. Farm knight relic and hope you get Head and Hand pieces with either Def%, Spd, or Crit. What matters is the pieces have atleast one of those, because farming knight is inneficient.
      C. Keep farming pioneer for Head and Hands with alot of Def%/Spd/CV. (Harder to juggle stats but effecient to farm)

Firstly, get that Def% Rope then see what stats it roll. Then decide what the next step should be.

Atleast thats what i would do. Try seeing what other folks think

    • My current build is 2pc Pioneer, 2pc Follow up with Salsotto since his damage is just Follow up and Ult.

      DEF: 3974
Crit Rate: 82.6% (including his trace)
Crit Damage: 181% (including signature and 10% from the broken keel ally)
      Speed: 140
Crit Dmg Body, Speed boots, Imaginary Orb, DEF Rope. Planning to get S1.

Originally I had 4030 DEF and 76% crit rate but I swapped my DEF% substat for 8% Crit Rate and 10% Crit Damage on boots. So I sacrificed 56 DEF and 2% crit rate and got a net value of 6% crit rate and 10% crit damage. I will compare the performance and see if 56 DEF is that big of a difference compared to the crit stats and swap accordingly. Shield value only went down slightly so very manageable.

As you can see it is very possible to use Imaginary Orb and not use the knight set and still have nearly 4000 DEF and with good Crit stats. You just need to roll a good amount on DEF, which is clearly encouraged by his own kit seeing as at 4000 DEF you start with 53% crit rate with no substats.

Since you locked 3 pieces, you can focus on getting head and hands that have DEF and a crit stat while the rope can have speed. Ideally you’d get pieces that have a lot of em in one but that’s RNG so if you get it cool, if not, we make do. You can optimize once you’ve at least reached the minimum.

      Hope this helps 😀

      • Thanks! Im glad to know that the substats were still feasible to achieve, would have hate to give up all 3 that rolled so much into DEF% and Crit Damage.
I think its a matter of deciding between 2piece pioneer + 2 pc follow up vs 4 piece pioneer now but it does sound like 2 piece followup is more worth it. Fortunately im also running primary DOT team with secondary follow up.

I think I will focus on that DEF rope first, find some with decent spd and maybe CR and then see whatI can do about that 2 piece. Luckily I wont be hunting main stat with head and hands.

        • I went with 2pc 2pc so I can get unconditional damage amp as I was told it benefits him more. 4pc pioneer does provide good crit stats, but he already has enough of those but lacks damage buffs outside of teammates. But ultimately the set the pieces that give you the best substats should be the way to go!

          • Perfect,
After farming followup set and randomly making some DEF%,
currently at 34% CR excluding the 48%
and I still need 12.2% DEF and 4 spd for the hands.
luckily still got plenty of time.

    • replace sphere with def as the dmg you’ll profuce + shield would be stronger with it than img which is just for dmg

  3. Hi there 🙂
I need the help of the smart people :’)
I have Ratio E0 and using the Simulated Universe(SU) lightcone, Topaz at E0 and using Only Silence Remains (idk why tbh…). I am definitely pulling E0 Aventurine and I want to build him as a sub-dps along with sustain.
I was thinking to pull Topaz’s lightcone and giving it to Ratio so that Topaz can use the SU lightcone but, I heard that Topaz will be getting a rerun while Aventurine is on-banner and I doubt I’ll have enough jades to guarantee Aventurine’s AND Topaz’s lightcone. I also heard that Aventurine’s damage without his lightcone is not worth it so, who’s lightcone should I go for? Aventurine’s or Topaz’s?

    • Imho, I think puling for topaz lc is definitely better than aventurine LC. Avent’s LC mainly benefits himself & at the moment only works on him (no other Def scaling dmg abilities currently). Also note that while the dmg difference is big but its not enough to run Aventurine has sole DPS. The biggest upside would be the much higher base def the LC gives but its pretty possible it will get powercrept in the future (possibly even by a 4*). & if u want his LC for the debuff, 10% dmg increase is nice but as a support debuff for Ratio u could also run trend of the universal market (although not optimal)

Whereas for topaz LC, it currently works on both Ratio & Topaz with synergy to both & technically usable on any future FUA hunt units. its debuff is also stronger (12%*2 increased cdmg taken debuff but it only counts as 1 debuff).

    • I’m going off of Prydwen here but:

The difference between Herta S5 and Worrisome for Topaz is 21.45% while for Dr. Ratio it’s only 8%. I think if you get Topaz’s lightcone, it’s better to put it on her rather than Ratio.

While Aventurine’s damage is respectable, I think you’ll benefit more from raising Topaz’s damage rather than his. Plus it gives you another debuff that is easier to maintain cuz it applies on literally all of her attacks. S3+ Swordplay is a very good alternative to her signature as it has virtually no ramp up time and you can freely switch targets since Numby attacks so many times. If you have or can get it, then you can just get Aventurine’s.

This is just my thoughts tho, we’ll know more when he’s actually out :3

  4. My Aventurine at this point of time will have:
    – ~3.3k DEF
-39.5 Crit Rate (without the Trace passive)
    -198.3 Crit DMG
    -145 SPD
Wearing 2p Knight set, 2p FuA set, and Salsotto Planar set. His current Light cone is Gepard’s 5star LC

This should be quite enough right?

    • For damage it should be fine, but only 2.2k Shields. Wouldve liked more defense but as long as the stage doesnt deal too much single target dmg then it should be fine. Gepards LC also adds aggro on Aventurine so in practice that shield amount should be fine. One thing to note with Aventurine is that a stronger shield means your team wont lose fortified wager when enemies deal damage consecutively over the shield, meaning it correlates to you getting more talent procs meaning more dmg + survavibility. Sorta like a snowball effect

      • 3.3k DEF is just my low estimate on how my Aventurine’s gonna be with full traces, I would hope it would be much higher.
Also, I could get a DEF main stat on the Body for DEF, but I dunno if it’s gonna be better overall
I’m aiming to make him have a hybrid build

    • Technically ya I suppose, but 3.3K DEF is a bit low you could go a bit higher. His crit rate trace maxes out at 4000, but it’s not easy to get there. I assume you’re using Imaginary Orb? Perhaps swap to a DEF one as it’s hard to get the right DEF without one if you aren’t going for S1. You’re almost at 200% Crit damage which is great but it’s coming at a cost of DEF subs, which might prove detrimental in the long run.

Just a thought. I could be wrong of course.

  5. Aventurine vs Fu Xuan

I’m hearing that Fu Xuan might have a rerun next patch and I’m having a lot of trouble on deciding who to pull for.

The sustains I have rn and E0 Gepard (Landau’s Choice) and E1 Lynx (Perfect Timing)

The main dps I use are Jing Yuan, Ratio, Qingque, and Herta. And my current goal rn is focusing on getting all the FuA based characters since it’s my favorite playstyle

Yall have any advice or anything

    • I think you have answered your own question.

“my current goal rn is focusing on getting all the FuA based characters since it’s my favorite playstyle”

I’m an advocate to pull what you want, and like me, if you like follow ups, Aventurine directly plays into this style. I have Fu Xuan, but I dont use her on every comp and I’m excited to have a follow up synergy sustain.

I personally want Fu Xuan rerun because I’m building mono Qunny team and Fu Xuan is my last piece.

  7. sooo I guys between Acheron Aventurine and Jingliu who should I pull for??

I already got the main targets I wanted so I’m not worried if I don’t get them or not but I do wanna pull(I’m f2p)

    here are my characters:

    4 🌟 : all except Luka (all harmony 4 🌟 ,+ pela are e6 and everyone else is E3+)

5 🌟: seele Jingyuan Ruan mei DHIL silver wolf luocha Fu Xuan ratio sparkle (everyone is e0 besides Bronya is E1)

the reason I would like each of them:

aventurine: probably asking why I want him even tho I have 2 sustains… well Id like to try preservation path in SU (I only have march 7th shielder) + he seems to have a different approach compared to other sustains (being more offensive based) and I haven’t tried shields (a new kind of sustain for me) + Im kinda lazy to build my 4 🌟 supports so they can die pretty easily and a healer/abundance can’t make them survive hard hitting hits by enemies

Acheron+ Jingliu: after playing the same dps since 1.0 for almost a year(had JY and Seele since release and got DHIL on 2.0 and ratio in 1.6) I kinda wanna try new dps and new playstyle for more fun and I’m kinda more leaning towards getting dps at least for a bit. acheron seems to have a new playstyle aka ultimate playstyle and Jingliu has her own unique playstyle and is easy to build+ I have both characters’s best supports (especially E1 bronya for JL)

    so what is your thoughts?

    • In my honest opinion you should go for aventurine.
Like you said, he is a more offensive preservation char and you already have a good roster of damage dealer and the best harmony chars.
on the other hand, you also have SW and pela which are good with acheron but keep in mind that Acheron needs her lightcone because there are no alternatives. i mean you could try her with GNSW s5 if you have that but it doesnt come close to her signature.
If you really want another damage dealer then go for jingliu. she is still one of the strongest and has more lightcone options like the 5* one from herta shop or secret vow if you have to.
it also depends on how many pulls you saved up and obviously your luck but if you have the opportunity, than go for aventurine and jingliu. if you can only pick one then go for aventurine. i think he would benefit your account the most right now.

i personaly will go for acheron because i love the char and me with my monkeybrain gets all of the lightning mommies.
im sitting at around 350 pulls right now (not f2p. im a battlepass + monthly pack gamer) and my goal is at least e1s1 but e2 would be great. hope i get a liitle bit lucky for these pulls because the last few month my luck was trash 🙁
