n/a | Senior manager of the Strategic Investment Department at the IPC and one of the Ten Stonehearts. His Cornerstone is the "aventurine of stratagems." An ostentatious risk-taker, he often wears a smile that masks his true motives. He won his current position by wagering against fate itself. He views life as a high-stakes, high-return investment, and he plays this particular gamble with masterful ease. |
n/a | "I have something to report to you about the new employee." "What makes you so worried, Erwin?" "It's complaints about him, both formal and informal. My mailbox has been flooded with them like countless pieces of paper. I wonder... if it's worth reconsidering his inclusion in the Strategic Investment Department." "What do these complaints say?" "Mostly about his origins. Those eyes of his..." "He once deceived the Marketing Development Department by falsely claiming that there were energy sources hidden in the barren land of Sigonia, not yet effectively developed and utilized. A huge amount of funds was invested into excavating it before we realized it was all a scam." "And then there's the notorious Egyhazo Aventurine Case. He misled the Intelligentsia Guild into believing that the remains of Tayzzyronth the Imperator Insectorum were buried there. Despite the scholars being extremely cautious, they ultimately still fell into the trap." "And let's not forget the letters from the councilors of the Sigonian Sovereignty. They denounce his tribe for once breaking agreements and sowing discord, leading to significant changes in the balance of peace between the tribes, resulting in repeated delays in the signing of agreements between Sigonia and IPC. Allowing such an employee to join at the IPC would be a severe detriment to public relations..." "If these are the extent of the complaints, there's no need to tell me." "...You already know it all?" "Each gemstone holds unique value, and our task is to make investments." "We don't need to appease those stubborn old-timers who sent in complaints, as these rumors will eventually reach... No, they would already have reached his ears. Well, let's take this chance and see how big of a surprise he can bring us." |
n/a | "You're quite something else, boy... I still can't figure out how you managed to empty out my entire business. But I will never surrender. If push comes to shove, I'll just blow up this whole place... What are you gonna do about it?" The Mad Bull of Iymanika signals his followers to let go. He raises his head from the table, dusting off his collar. "You arrogant dogs from the IPC never respected us wanderers, did you? But now that you're in our territory, you'll play by our rules." Mad Bull empties the cylinder, putting only one bullet in the revolver, and tosses it to the other man's feet. "Six shots. Fate will decide whether we live or die after a maximum of six shots. Do you have the nerve?" The other man bends down and picks up the revolver. "There are too many people who've pointed a gun at me. Some of them even just went ahead and pressed the trigger straight up... Now, guess how come I'm still standing here." The man stands up, stares into the Mad Bull's eyes, raises the gun, and puts it against his own heart. "It's because the gun will always end up in my hand." "And now, this game is making me bored... One in six? That possibly is nowhere near enough. If you want to tempt fate..." Six consecutive gunshots thunder out in the starship that is wrapped in a deathly silence. After the smoke clears, the man raises the gun again and walks toward Mad Bull. The revolver is now loaded with a fresh bullet. "You need to learn how to turn yourself into a die first." "...You won't surrender, but why? Because you have this lousy game of chance? Or..." He points the gun into the darkness. "Because of her?" A woman holding a pistol emerges slowly from the direction the revolver points. The Mad Bull acts as if he found a lifeline when he sees her. "Madam Jade, this is not what we agreed upon..." At that moment, both of them opened fire simultaneously, and two figures dressed in black fall from the shadows behind each of them. "The IPC has enemies everywhere, right?" The woman calmly holsters her pistol, takes out her cosmetic mirror, and inspects her appearance. "You used our lives as bait, making them believe there was internal strife between us, and then you eliminated them all... A clever trick, although a bit reckless." He greets the woman with a smile, although his hands tremble slightly. "Trick? No, it was just a test." The elegant lady opens her palm, revealing a shimmering aventurine of peculiar hues. "There's nothing strange about it. Gemstones are destined to be... desired, sought, cut, and sold." "However, there's so much more you can do. It all depends on how you see yourself." |
n/a | He walks into the room at the furthest end of the corridor, remembering how he was still a grotesque prisoner the last time he came here. Now, he stands with his back straight and faces those who sit at the very top of the department. He listens to the blond woman as she reads out the lengthy and boring report. Those cold, unfeeling numbers cannot convey the dangers that accompanied him as he walked on the thin line between life and death, nor can they communicate how much he had lost and gained during the journey. He is simply curious whether she is human or an Intellitron. The aventurine, that symbol of power and of the future, is about to be officially handed to him — Yet it would have no more allure or value in his eyes as soon he obtains it, even though he had sought it by putting his life on the line. "Do you have any more questions, Aventurine?" Jade, the only person he knows among the presently gathered, asks at the end of the meeting. "The Avgins in Sigonia... what happened to them afterward?" "Unfortunately, there are no more Avgins in Sigonia. You're the last lucky dog." "What about those people who helped me on planet ██? Now I can finally repay their kindness." "They are no more, either." ... He returns to his office in a daze. The aventurine stone emits a peculiar glow on his desk, seemingly congratulating and mocking him at the same time. "Was luck truly on your side when you wrestled with fate?" |
n/a | "Penacony... Is Diamond finally ready to do something about it?" The miniature model on the table continues to rotate, the crystalline memory bubble emitting tiny spheres of foam. "This historic debt is utterly unimaginable. So, the profit involved is also... shockingly high." The person in front of him has their back turned to him, gazing instead at the purplish-red sky of Pier Point at sunset. "But why me?" The person continues to face away from him. Keen though his eyes are, he can not decipher the true intentions behind the decision. "It should have been me, but Diamond believes that The Family still had some value in cooperation and hopes this affair still has some room for a peaceful resolution." "So, after some thought, I've concluded that you're the best candidate." "This is only our second conversation ever. Do you trust me that much?" "No, I've never trusted you. Perhaps Jade does, but I don't." "Maybe luck won't be on your side this time, and the bill for all your past good fortune will come due." Finally, the person in front of him turns around. The distant skyscraper reflects a kaleidoscope of colors like an opal stone, while a music box plays on its own. "But isn't that what you've been longing for?" |

Should I get Aventurine? I Don’t have any good sustains I only have Fu Xuan and Lynx (I really don’t like using her) and I feel like Aventurine would do my account well instead of Acheron. But i just want someone else’s input and what they think would be good idea.
I can’t speak on behalf of your account but I’m in a similar position to you. Except I don’t even have Fu Xuan or any 5* sustain. And I don’t really like Lynx either as well, although she is ok for now. So I will share with you how I feel.
At this point if your objective is to do well in endgame content like MoC/PF I reckon it’s best to have two 5* sustains in your portfolio. That makes things much more comfortable. Especially if you already have good dmg dealers. Like I have trouble getting the last couple of stars in MoC because my Lynx/Natasha can’t sustain enough. That’s why I will be focusing on getting Aventurine and Luocha, and skipping Acheron. Kafka is my lightning dps already and I don’t need another one.
But you also have to consider: do you like Aventurine as a character? At the end of the day it is a game and you need to have fun playing them otherwise it’s pointless. I don’t know how you feel about their design, animations, story etc… So I can’t make the decision for you in those aspects. For me I like the blonde guys much more than the lolis so that’s why I’m prioritizing them over Fu Xuan/HuoHuo/Lynx/Bailu when it comes to personal enjoyment. If I get Bailu from losing 50/50 I am not even going to level her, even if they suddenly decided to include a cleanse in her kit.
There is also the jade issue. Are you a low spender or are you willing to spend a moderate amount? And how quickly do you want to clear endgame content with max stars? If you are more patient maybe you can wait for a future 5* sustain that you like even more (but that may be a while since I don’t think there are any new leaks so far). You already have FuXuan so at least that’s one 5* sustain so probably can be more patient than me lol.
Ultimately you have to make the decision yourself but I just wanted to share my thoughts given we are in very similar situations when it comes to sustains. There are a lot of factors to consider and weigh which are very personal preferences.
Here’s the thing, Aventurine shield creation is too hard!! like really really overkill for any kind of present content when compared to even Luocha or Fu Xuan. and this is what my thought would be.
– “Sustainability” a team with him would having much lesser death rate or next to none at all… and that could be nice for the unforetold future content though. also don’t worry about only 50/50 Effect Res…(Not bad also resisted dot) after all you either win or you either lose~ or a guaranteed once you reset enough too.. it can be fun though.
– “Damage” very impressive level for sustainer, but may lacks means to further enhance as he’s DEF scaler. even though you want to bring him everywhere to sustain, there’ll be time he’s forced suffering IMG RES penalty.
– “Role at Synergist” this is the hard part… i couldn’t predict Hoyo move, as of now Aventurine Topaz Dr. Ratio work decently well, but still not enough, for this team Dr. Ratio will be your best dealer and you should aiming to buff him, in that case Aventurine high damage with little buffs will not be relevant enough, maybe everything can change with the coming of the 4th FuA members.
Outside of Aventurine topic debatably aiming for sweeping strategy still work well for Dr. Ratio currently. Dr. Ratio Topaz Ting Yun Sparkle/Bronya/Pela already very competitive at high level without the needs of sustainer, in case sustain is a must your Fu Xuan or other are still a decent choice too.
– “Ease of use” Being a shield mechanic you must keep it in mind shield wouldn’t hindering any of your dps ability (Prevent Blade’s from getting counters gauge, or Firefly, who possibly will gain energy from losing HP, and may needs restoration instead) or negating any of their disadvantage, yep @Makeyanqinggreatagain
hoping Hoyo will not introduce a shield piercing attacks from foe like from Genshin here too.
That said, i would advice to using an alternative solid choice who work cheap.
4 Stars Gallagher, he’s unexpectedly an extremely potent sustainer… who’s also not a Lynx.! great heal, high SP regen with debuff cleanse, good AGI VIT build path (SPD DEF and Break) can afford to use 3* LC while not ended up being too fragile like Luocha STR AGI build with multiplication LC and risk dying in one blow.
@Alice You know… invest in DPS are really important as priority too, don’t underestimate the ability to nuke everything out of existence whenever you want…! feel free to take your time to learn or experimenting with meta characters for starter using friend support units system. Hmph!
Well. could help saving more Jade with Gallagher, unless if you have lotta MONNEYYYY to throwing around just like Aventurine, then, don’t have to think twice about getting your beloved blond gambling boi!
Since you already have Fu Xuan, I would advise you to save for Luocha or HuoHuo instead of another five star preservation, it’s more ideal to have a good preservation and a good abundance over two of just one. Aventurine will also probably be a worse shielder than Fu Xuan, Aventurine is a combination sustain and DPS, so he’ll trade some of his sustain power for damage, if Fu Xuan isn’t good enough at keeping your team alive, Aventurine likely won’t be much better.
However, if you have Topaz and/or DrRatio built it might be better to pull Aventurine anyways, since he has good synergy with them.
Either way, if you like Aventurine’s kit, pull for him, it’s better to have a fun character than a strong one, you can always get a healer later.
Alice basically said most of what I could’ve said so all I will add is this:
You already have Fu Xuan, the most broken sustain we currently have.
Any of the remaining 3, Luocha Huohuo and Aventurine, is an upgrade to your Lynx. So just look at them and pick the one whose design you love most. Then just get that one.
The E0S1 sustain showcase on the leaks reddit rn actually has Aventurine doing very solid dmg when with 85/180 crit (37/140 when not considering his LC and trace boosts, so reasonable investment) which is nice
His S1 is still kinda needed for good personal dmg tho
I forgot to mention but
Aventurine gets 5+8+8(with pioneer)+48 CR which is 69 CR
he gets 50+64(?)+40 CD which is 150 or so
which means the stats I mentioned require only 60-ish CV in substats for a dps build, so a dmg build Aventurine will have no trouble hitting that
I personally like to aim for 100+ CV in subs
He needs 4000 def in order to receive 48 crit rate from his major trace.
Assuming you are at E0S1, he has 1316.38 base defense. He has +22.5% defense from minor trace and +40% defense from light cone.
Not counting relic set bonus:
– With defense rope, imaginary orb, defense boots and crit damage armor, he gets +170.5% defense and has 3560.8079 defense.
– With defense rope, defense orb, defense boots and crit damage armor, he gets +224.5% defense and has 4271.6531 defense. He will be lacking damage amp which may in turn impact his damage output potential. His defense also exceeds the requirement.
– He has 53% crit rate and 114.8% crit damage (154.8% in battle).
Assuming you take the imaginary orb plan, I recommend shield set (+15% def, +30% shield capacity) and FUA set (+8% crit rate, +15% ult and FUA damage amp). The pioneer set is inconsistant because Aventurine’s light cone is base chance and may be resisted by the enemy. It is never worth it to build EHR on him. Also, the pioneer set’s effect only lasts 1 turn.
– In this case he has 3758.2649 defense, 61% crit rate and 154.8% crit damage.
– 4 substats on def% (4.86% each) he will reach the defense requirement.
– 12 substats on crit rate (2.92% each) he will have 96.04% crit rate.
– 8 substats on crit damage (5.83% each) he will have 201.44% crit damage.
– 24 substats in total.
However farming for shield set might not be economical for your account. In this case I recommend pioneer set 2pc and imaginary set 2pc, which gives +22% damage amp in total. He needs damage amp because your supports are unlikely to support him before doing so for your main DPS unless you are playing with RM.
Both the Imaginary and Knight sets are equally inefficient for me as both cases I’d be farming for half the domain. Which is why I opted for 4pc Pioneer as it’s a domain where both sets are ones I’m fishing for.
Since Damage Amp is important, would 2pc Pioneer 2pc Blaze work as well? I have some good pieces from when I was farming for DoT and Topaz. I would lose 4% crit rate, but gain 24% crit damage, 7 speed, and the rolls actually allow me to reach 4K DEF. (Not counting the 100% increase extra stats as that’s RNG) The amp is only on follow ups, but isn’t that most of his damage anyway since it gets procced more frequently now?
I’d currently be at 70%/188% and 4030 DEF along with Imaginary Orb, 35% Follow up Amp, and 27% ultimate amp. Crit rate might go a bit higher since I’m considering replacing his rope and roll for more crit rate if possible.
Would that be a good alternative? (Sorry for the wall of text but I don’t know where else to ask these questions)
That should work I think. Set bonus is a minor part of the character’s strength.
Can’t reply to reply but thank you! Feels good to almost be done building 😀
Update. Got better rolls and am now at 76% crit rate!
he gets 35% def from traces
What a mistake I made. In this case add 164.5475 defense each to the calculations above. He needs just one substat on def% to reach 4000.
About his base chance:
I don’t know yet if each of his 7 FuA hits has a chance to apply it or if it only applies once to each hit enemy
but in multi target, it has a chance to be applied to every hit target, so he shouldn’t have too much trouble keeping it up
It should trigger once for each enemy that gets hit by the attack, but no more than once for an enemy that gets hit multiple times.
However I’m not very sure how often will his FUA be. If it isn’t often enough, it will have many blank time.
When is the shield triggerd from the E1?
Does someone know?
In the notes on the leak reddit it was on ult
thx
😭😭😭😭😭Why was it changed back to the way it was? People with few resources like me who only use e0 don’t want to be limited to just 1 time BINGO
wait what? the change to 3 follow up attacks is still there. Was there a V4 that quickly??
Not AFAIK, and V4(? V3? idk) shouldn’t be until late this week or next week
If there even is one. Didn’t people say we will only get 2 changes?
is this currently the 2nd or 3rd iteration? (if its the 3rd I didn’t notice cuz no aven changes)
But yeah Beta started 1 weeks late cause or CNY so there should be less betas than usual
Right yeah this is V3, V2 only changed his technique okay
Either this or V4 should be the last 2 1 beta
I love Aventurine talent Hot Hand, as it makes him NOT -1 SP in the 1st turn of battle (different from Fuxuan, excluding any use of technique).
I find many situation where I use all SP for other character, that I don’t have any SP left for my Fuxuan to use her skill to actually activate her utility.
For example my party: Sparkle -1 SP >> Jingyuan -1 SP >> Tingyun -1 SP >> somehow Fuxuan doesn’t have any more SP to use.
It’s like Fu Xuan or Ruan Mei’s technique, but for free in every fight
so I like it too
Healer 4pc for FX 🙂
Also I recommend a faster TY, faster than JY is ideal.
Sparkle is ideally ran at 160+, so getting Tingyun to be faster is difficult (My Tingyun is barely 0.5 spd faster than Sparkle and she has the best spd gear I could give her)
There is a planar set that advances the wearer by 40% at the begining of the battle. While it only works at the begining of the battle, you might need not to replenish just at the begining of wave 2. Also, with 5% ERR set, an ERR rope, and a S5 cogs, TY can ult once every skill and two normal attacks rotation. I’m personally running this set for TY with 160+ speed.
My Current Aventurine Stats (E0S1)
Relics –> 2pc FUA + 2pc Def%
Planar –> Belobog (Second Eff not active)
Defense : 4553
Speed. : 139 (150 with Ruan Mei)
Crit Rate : 76.9 (Includes 48% Crit from trace)
Crit Dmg : 223.4 (Includes 40% Cdmg from LC)
Eff Res : 73.8 (Includes 50% from shield)
From rough calculations in Ratio, Topaz (E0S1), Ruan Mei team –> 72k Dmg from FUA (Not counting enemy Def and Res, RM ult, other external Cdmg Buff). Realistic number should be around 40k-50k (i think)
Shield Strength –> 3179 at max (Doesn’t count Technique Def% buff). For comparison, my Gepard at 3.9k Def and 4pc Def gives 2849 Shield.
He would actually be my first character to hit +200Cdmg with good CR. Hopefully i can get him plus a Topaz Eidolon. This team having 3 damage dealers just seem so funny to me lmao.
Got some more questions about the skill change.
So his skill says “…stack up to 200% of the shield provided by the current skill plus.”
1) Does that mean it’s 200% of whatever shielding you have left at the time of application?
2) Is the plus at the end a typo or are we missing a bonus flat amount?
I interpreted it this way:
“…stack up to 200% of the shield provided by the current skill plus.”
“It stacks to double the shield amount provided at the current skill rank.”
I believe what we see in the skill description might be a translation thing.
Ah okay. Thanks! It was just too weirdly worded I hope it gets cleared up on release. (if not, some theorycrafter will tell us for sure)
As of March 4th Aventurine updates:
I’m planning to build him using Gepard’s LC, Crit dmg body, 2p-FuA set and Salsotto planar set
I don’t think I can reach 4k DEF to maximize the 48% Crit rate from his traces with Speed boots.
With how he is right now, is it good to still go for Speed Boots?
I currently have 31% Crit Rate and can achieve 149% Crit DMG while wearing Salsotto planar set and is still missing 2 pieces of Relics (boots and gloves)
With a lvl 80 Gepard (don’t have asc6 traces opened up yet) I have 2.8k DEF
Any thoughts on this?
2pc Follow up and what is the second set? Knight?
I dunno how you calculated it but I calculated they way I was told to.
Aventurine has 35% DEF from traces. Orb and Rope are 54% each. DEF set is 15%. And the LC gives a straight up 24% and a conditional 24%.
Assuming absolutely no DEF substats and assuming your second set is the 15% DEF one, then with Gepard’s LC, you are sitting at 3525.65 DEF. And it goes up to 3826ish when the conditional 24% DEF kicks in.
You are quite close. You need a few good DEF rolls and you can probably reach or be very close to 4000 DEF 😀 (if you can give me your DEF rolls on substats I can give you the actual DEF you will have)
Speed is very easy on Aventurine. 106 base + 25 speed boots puts him at 131, just 3 speed away from the recommended 134. It would be a waste not to go for it just for DEF boots. You would basically have to fish for 28 speed from substats and allies, which might be worse than just using speed boots and getting 3 from substats.
I have everything that Aventurine will wear on Gepard. They basically have the same base DEF so that’s where I got my DEF value. As for the missing 2-ps Knight set, I don’t have a good one that I can use yet.
Is it worth it to get him if i only have 1 premium sustain unit?
Currently i only have 1 premium sustain unit which is HuoHuo, I do have standard sustain units such as Gepard and Bailu but i feel like it’s about time i get another premium one, but at the same time im not a follow up user and i don’t think i will be one even in the near future.
I like to go for the sustain units that does their job other than being a sustainer and that’s exactly why i have HuoHuo and also why i’m considering getting Adventurine as well.
What do you guys think?
P.S. if by chance Fu Xuan’s rerun is right after Adventurine in 2.2 i think i’ll just go for her lol.
It is rumored that Fu Xuan will rerun with Acheron in Phase 1 of 2.1, so might as well get her if you want her.
Fu Xuan is coming and she’s more universal than Aventurine, But every single limited 5 star is a great solo sustainer, even Aventurine in non follow-ups Teams.
so just pull for the character you like more and the gameplay you prefer.
To Nunu Nana, I think you should switch to def orb now, since his def cap was increased
but mah imaginary boost ;_;
I also now have to switch my orb lol
Maybe we can pretend they never changed it >:)
