Just checked out Content Creators early access showcases of her, she seems pretty strong and I have the teammates for her. That say I may skip her to wait for Firefly/Sam ( If they are even playable 😞 ) and Robin, plus already have Kafka and JY so I probably don’t need another lightning DPS atm. Not a speed runner so I don’t really care about higher dmg, that say I can clear MoC 12 in 5 cycles total already
5 cycle is great well done 😮
The fact of ability to 0 cycle is not a sign of game mastery, it’s a sign of good artifact and gacha luck and ability of throwing money into your monitor. It’s not a prideful achievement. With certain characters and certain LCs, you can roll your face on your keyboard and still perform zero cycle clear. In this game, your skill changes nothing.
Okay and why are you butthurt about it? Nobody mentioned skill at all. It was just a well done. You need help.
Okay, whatever you said. I was saying my account can still clear in 5 cycles so no pressure of getting a character for the said content, instead I can just pull for characters that I like to collect 😀
As it should be 😀
Anyone else watch Brax’s video on Acheron? He compares Acheron to Eula of Genshin Impact and that’s a bad thing IN THE LONG RUN. The damage outside of Acheron ultimate is really not it. Acheron did 320K with GNSW on a Yanqing and a Trotter…so if that was single target it would be 160K on each…yikes…that is with Sparkle buff and Pela debuffs..she’s a damage per screenshot char…
Seems so clunky to play and while her Ult animation is super cool right now, the novelty will go away after the patch and it’ll just be annoying to have to press a button 4 times on the enemy with most flowers to use up her entire ult VS just going BOOM with kafka and with Jingyuan you dont even need to have to manually select a specific target…I mean if I’m summoning Acheron and 5 months later I still have to press the button multiple times to use up all of her ult uh..I’d rather just play a diff char at that point such a hassle..but yea Acheron compared to Eula by Brax…not a good look for the long run…
Good for you lol
Bro, you should not take Brax’s video as a benchmark.
His team for a E0 Acheron was ass and her stats were pretty low. No hate against Brax though. I think his guides are entertaining. I think he wants to have “relatable” stats on showcases but on this one they were on the lower side.
Not having a second Nihility Char in there at E0 nerfs her a lot. A Silverwolf would have amped Acherons Dmg far more than a Sparkle could because not only would she gain the dmg bonus from having a second Nihility char besides Pela, the main target of her Ult would also have their def reduced to 0 with SW and Pela Ult and on top of that you would gain your Ult faster.
also her dmg split on her ult is not 50/50. The 320k dmg you are talking about still had over 200k singletarget dmg on the main target and Brax himself said it afterwards that over 200k dmg on singletarget with a subpar build, lightcone and team is still very decent.
Also comparing Acheron to Eula is just dumb imo.
You could also just compare her to Raiden Shogun because honestly speaking Raiden Shogun also just does a little sub dps with her skill and in the end youre going to oneshot everthing with her ult/burst.
watch some more showcases to get a better picture of her dmg output and not only one.
I have been thinking about the “The Trend of the Universal Market” ligthcone, if the DoT inflicted by this ligthcone gives Acheron talent stacks; does a high effect hitrate fire mc create up to 6 stacks per skill use (1xtaunt + 5xDoT when attacked by 5 enemies). If that is the case what about elite enemies? Most elites enemies go more then once per their turn. If the elite enemy uses multiple of their attacks on a unit with “Trend of Universal Market” do they create multiple stacks for Acheron? If this is the case, it can be used as a relatively consistent way to create stacks at higher difficulties thanks to the high speed values of the enemies. Would love to hear thoughts on this.
No. It’s per action. So whether your action gives 1 debuff or 17, it’ll only give one stack. But if you taunt, then apply the DoT cuz you got hit then it gives a separate debuff (or so the videos seem to imply)
Ignore me I completely misunderstood lmao.
Raiden in Genshin:
Free to run in a team comp with ANY unit
Top tier DPS when released, still top tier DPS in the present
Free event weapon “The Catch”
Interruption Resistance up the wazoo
Constellations are not a must
BOOBA sword
Raiden in HSR:
Strict team comp wanting specific units
Already powercrept by Jing Liu and Dan IL
Copium F2P options, need to get lucky and get GNSW S5
Very Susceptible to CC which would ruin Ult uptime
Team comp restrictions unlock after E2
Has a very cool black and white/red form though
I know it’s a troll but I remember 2.1 and how everyone was so angry on Raiden Shogun, how she is unplayable without C2 and generally a useless character. How time flies…
I think people just like to hate on the op purple haired waifu that comes out in the 2.1 patches (btw I remember the Raiden Shogun outrage from 2.1 and yet she is to this day one of the best characters in the game even at C0)
Raiden in Genshin:
– Free to run in any team comp – but 99% run her in National
– Top Tier DPS on release ONLY IF E2
– Free weapon “The Catch” – nvm, the only thing you’ll catch is PTSD from the MOST tedious and boring gameplay loop the game has to offer
– Interruption resistance – Thank god, imagine being interrupted during your ult in HSR (Genshin could never)
– Constellations are not a must – Her sales show that a lot of players got her E2, then the devs gave you the finger. Now using her full EM in Hyperbloom is stronger (lmao)
– You forgot to add: She’s a great decoration for the Teapot.
Raiden in HSR:
– Free to run in any team comp – but 99% will run her with 2 nihility
– Top tier DPS when released, cause elemental bypass is such a strong feature
– No need to spend hours listening to Paimon: wHaT iS it? wHaT iS it? aNoTheR PaiMoN? You nEarLY goT hiM. So cLoSe so close. StaY CoOl etc… Just save your time and sanity and pull on her lightcone banner, her best 4 star is on it too.
– Not anymore susceptible to CC than anyone else, and most sustains can cleanse you before it’s your turn.
– Team comp restrictions are only for endgame content (something you’re unfamiliar with)
– You forgot to add: Can one-shot mobs / technique refreshes per wave / you won’t be leveling her traces for nothing / bellybutton. Go and get cajoled by Paimon.
hyperbloom is singlehandle the best DPS in the game lol
@Korben Dallas
Yea seems like you just got ticked off by previous commenter and spat out nonsense. 99% of players do not player Raiden with the National team. Perhaps you are referring to ABYSS usage that people manually submit stats for which makes up maybe 1% of the playerbase lol
All you need for Genshin Raiden is an Anemo char to VV shred resistance, and some sort of sustain in the comp. Meanwhile Acheron actually loses out on a a lot of damage if she only runs one Nihility. It’s a fact that her teams are stricter because they made her that way. A lot of people have Genshin Raiden at E2 now over multiple reruns but its super unneseessary as the team functions completely without a Defense ignore constellation. Acheron’s E2 is actually more crucial because there are powerful turn advancing Harmony chars in the game that she can’t use otherwise
What triggers me is people being dishonnest and comparing things that are not comparable. I fully know you can play Raiden with whoever you want. But if you’re gonna go out of your way to judge Acheron by her best possible teammates and performance, then I’m gonna do the same thing with Raiden.
You will understand just how much of a bait Acheron E2 is when she releases and you get your hands on her – that’s IF you’re honest and not trying to be like the 1% of the playerbase that chase “overkill performance”.
I’m fairly certain C2 Raiden Hyper is a stronger team than any of the hyperbloom variations. Its generally the case that most of the crit carries have higher ceilings than hb and C2 Raiden is one the better crit carries we have.
You could call hb “better” because genshin is a game where a teams floor is more relevant than its ceiling and hb has one of, if not thee highest floor of any team in the game but you’d be hard pressed to make a hb variant that outperforms C2 Raiden hyper in terms of raw strength.
I want to make an objection about The Catch, I R5 it myself and it was pure insanity, I never touch fishing again ever after that. It may be free in the game, but it ain’t free for sanity …
Do you think e6 will break the game?
E6 takes the fun away from building multiple DPS characters according to an element. E6 is if you ONLY like Acheron or else summoning for an Aoe char of any element in the future is going to be redundant
Sure, but not in a way thats unqiue to acheron. None of the end game content we have is balanced around E6 5* units. Having any of the limited 5* dps units at E6 will make whatever content you bring them to significantly easier.
I have a F2P account and I’m planning on trying to get her there. I have GNSW S5, Pela at E5 with Resolution, and Silver Wolf with her signature LC. Would she be worth pulling?
Considering what you have, she’s a very valuable pull for your account.
If you’re still unsure by the time she comes out, try her out in calyxes using the support feature and see for yourself.
You basically have all of her f2p options and more so yeah, more than worth it.
f2p? LOLS. gnsw, trend and sweat are not f2p LC and can be obtain through gacha and need to spend your pulls in obtaining it. rng is not equal to everyone and some doesnt have them. the true f2p LC are the one in the herta and MOC shop that can be bought and doesnt require you to gacha, its a guaranteed LC. thats f2p LC.
lots of people still can’t differ between f2p lc, gacha lc and limited lc
so question like this are very common.
i only have S1 GNSW, S1 RSAPS and S1 In the Name of the World (SIGN Welt)
which LC the best i can use for Acheron?
From what folks have mentioned, S1 Welt beats S1 GNSW due to higher base stats. But if you end up getting S3 or higher of GNSW, then that one wins. So for now use Welt’s.
f2p lc gotten from f2p jades makes it f2p
sure rng is not equal for everyone but grinding f2p jades equally makes it f2p
if what you are saying is correct then everyone who pulled from any banner makes that account not f2p already and they should just played with the free characters given via events like that one genshin guy that only plays free characters and never pulls
Basically this. Unless you specifically spent jades fishing for that 4 star character or 4 star lightcone, then if you already have them, you got them passively while pulling for what you actually want, and are therefore in your account at no additional cost.
If folks wanna nitpick about the terminology despite the end result not changing one bit, then fine. I will rephrase.
“You already have the non-premium stuff for her and more since you already have S1 Silver Wolf, so she’s a good addition to your account”
you must have some terrible luck to be THIS salty lol
“Yeah just get lucky, roll better lol”
– Qingque the winner (probably)
As long as you don’t already have another lightning DPS (JY or Kafka)
For F2P its better if you spread elemental coverage and not overlap so much, and because with Acheron added, there will be 3 Limited 5 star DPS characters, her value on an account is not that high. I mean there was already another 5* Lightning limited character named Moze that was leaked to be either Hunt or Erudition in the future so Lightning will be filled with so much Lightning DPS, it really doesnt matter which one you pick and there’s no rush, especially for Acheron since Hoyo will release future units that will be meant for Acheron team and who knows what they look like like for example there could be a Foxian male character that may not look appealing that is specificallyt designed for Acheron team and it would just be a disappointment
I have Jing Yuan, but the purpose of my F2P account was to get what I couldn’t on main, and since on main I’m skipping her, I thought of trying her out!
How does E4 work? When combat starts and at the start of each wave all enemies have a permanent debuff applied that increase Ult damage taken, or does it last a certain amount of turns? Does this mean she gets one additional stack any time a new enemy enters combat? I’m curious how this has played out and been tested, because this seems like it scale out of hand very quickly or have very little impact depending on how it was implemented.
It’s applied when an enemy enters combat/spawns (literally said right there) and it’s a permanent debuff (has no listed duration).
Going off the info Dazz dropped here… The general assumption is that if an action (allied or enemy) directly led to a debuff being applied to an enemy, it should work.
If you look at the text on her Talent, it says “When any unit inflicts debuffs on an enemy target [while using their ability] …” Using an ability generally requires the unit to perform an action. Enemies spawning naturally isn’t really an “ability” nor does it correspond to any action listed on the timeline *unless* you have a boss who has an ability that can spawn more enemies. *Then* it should work (at least based on the info from Dazz).
apparently that description is a little misleading because Trend of the Universal Market, at least in the early access content for creators, gives Acheron stacks of slashed dream despite the debuffs not being caused by a unit’s “ability” being used. they must be using the term ability very loosely here.
Hoyoverse knows her kit is inept for a lot of players (who are unfortunately ignorant about it). That is why they try so hard to sell her with animation and shits. After 2.1, everything goes back to normal and they release Robin, which doesn’t work with her and everyone forgets her again. She won’t be like a certain unit that just gets better patch after patch. I won’t mention that unit’s name since it just triggers everyone here who can’t accept simple fact lmao.
Hoyo knows her kit is only inept for inept minds like yours.
Fortunately, most people playing this game are open minded and will not get upset at the idea of adapting their playstyle and team to make her shine.
Keep living in the past, change absolutely nothing, and you are on your way to becoming obsolete. Get over yourself.
lmao if you seen robin’s kit she could work very well with acheron as she gives atk% and crit dmg buffs instead of dmg% which is something too much already in acheron’s kit
It’s sad when there are people who deliberately ignore her flaws then immediately shutdown the people who mentioned these flaws, label them as trolls and doomposters and pretend that she’s perfect because Hoyoverse can do no wrong. People with common sense can tell Hoyoverse are limiting this character on purpose so players would spent more of their hard earned jades on the future characters or LC that will be designed only work for her or support her. It’s very obvious what this billion $$$ gamba company is trying to do, but we are the bad guys for telling the inconvenient truth, I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yes there are folks calling her flawless, but most of us aren’t denying how big of a boost E2 or S1 is, but we’re saying it’s unfair to basically call her worthless trash because of it. She can still get the job done at E0 and for a vast majority of players in this casual singleplayer gacha, that’s all that matters. You really think most people care about 0 Cycle MoC, the only real reason a meta even exists? Nope. And for those who do, if she doesn’t creep Jingliu or DHIL, they just won’t bother with her. I really don’t see why it’s such an issue for you people.
And don’t act like you doomposters are saints. You’ve attacked just as many people who simply said they’re pulling her cuz they like her.
We attack people who keep telling f2p she is good at E0S0 with facts, and it is only considered an attack for coopers like you.
You yourself said you attack, so I guess you’re one too. And I specifically mentioned relating to people who want her just because they like her. You telling me these folks deserve that attack as well?
And honestly you have this thought ingrained that without Silver Wolf, she’s completely unplayable when it’s already been shown to not be the case. So I’m done with you on this particular point.
Can’t wait to see how you’ll react to Boothill. I can already tell it’s gonna be as entertaining as Acheron has been.
seeing as how she doubles the value of every Nihility unit standing next to her, we’re gonna go ahead and just lable this take as Cap. she does exactly what Topaz did for follow-up synergy. she’s another dps enabler who makes her style of unit even better when working with her. allowing every Nihility support unit in her team to function as a harmony unit that buffs multipliers, atk, and “energy” gain for thr main dps is literally never going to be forgotten about. not even mentioning the fact that she is a dps unit with competently high values for her kit AND ignores weakness types. that’s a wrap
Cap
she won’t be forget because there are people like you having such a big crush on her
Maybe that question was answered some pages ago, but i`ll ask:
– By applying “Arcane Stack” on enemy turn by DoT/Arcane 3 stack Blast, do we get +charge for ult before enemy will start to act?
– By triggering BS Arcane DoT with Kafka Skill, do we get +charge for ult by applying Arcane Stack?
The first question “By applying “Arcane Stack” on enemy turn by DoT/Arcane 3 stack Blast, do we get +charge for ult before enemy will start to act?”:
-No, any extra effects caused by X amount of Arcana stacks listed in Black Swan’s talent do NOT give Acheron talent stacks.
The second question “By triggering BS Arcane DoT with Kafka Skill, do we get +charge for ult by applying Arcane Stack?”
-Once again No, it seems Hoyo made sure that Black Swan’s unique way of stacking DOT was not exploitable.
Many interactions of debuff applications and Acheron’s talent were tested out by user “Dazz Aephiex” at page 8 of this comments section. You can check to see if there are other scenarios you wondered about that they tested.
Dazz said they aren’t a tester, just compiling the info they find from (presumably CN) testers in a different site/forum. They’ve also followed up to the initial list over time which would be scattered throughout the pages…
Black Swan applying Arcana counts. Arcana gaining stacks on enemy turns does not from what I recall.
Kafka using her follow up counts. Kafka ulting applies a DoT, so regardless it will give one stack. Kafka skill detonation I am not sure. In theory it shouldn’t since the arcana stack is from them taking DoT damage, same as when they take their turn, so it shouldn’t. But I could be wrong.
From what I remember from Dazz’s replies, adding Arcana stacks via DoTonations (BS A4) does not generate SD. That, and the Arcana on spawn (also part of her A4) doesn’t work as well *unless* the mob spawn was an action initiated by an enemy. If it functioned with natural spawns, it would’ve led to some insane stack generation in PF otherwise.
The general assumption is that if an action (allied or enemy) directly led to a debuff being applied, it should work.
you can see for yourself https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fTM3pUNPsc
not considering her design. I hate it with passion. I’m still on denial she’s a critdps of nihility path. hahaha
good to know. now can we double it and pass it to the next person?
then would you consider that currently aventurine is the crit dps of preservation ? how is that different from acheron being the crit dps of nihilty?
what if in the future we will get a harmony or abundance crit dps then? would you be also in denial at that time till they release a 2nd dps of any path that you would not consider a dps path?
this is what you would called a narrow minded person
Nothing but facts. I for one am hyped for an Abundance dps unit one day
Bit harsh to call someone “narrow minded” because they effectively just want the paths to actually matter and be defined rather than just be some handwave annoyance to sell light cones.
i dont know if you’re trying to be dumb or not. aventurine till has the kit of a preservation path. acheron hasnt. she is through and through. a critdps.. She doesn’t debuff, she doesn’t inflict high multiplier DoT. she doesn’t add anything in a team except as a critdps. Tell me. will you put her in a team that already has a designated critdps. a buffer and a sustain, a team that can use debuffer, a nihility. acheron is a nihility right? Can you maximize her kit on that team? especially moc. make sure you say yes in all of it else you really are dumb.
im also gonna assume you didn’t watch the livestream but they talk about her path. even they know there’s something wrong in making her nihility thus, makes every kind of excuses.
i think I’ll just wave the white flag. I don’t really care cos she’s a critdps to begin with. if ever, i can build a team for her, i can gear her with no problem. i have s5 good night. i think ive seen somewhere here that’s one of her best choices for 4star cone. i can also e2s1 her just fine. i have all 4star nihility at E6. but guess what, I’m not the only one playing. not everyone got what i have, they probably have more great cones on other paths. like destruction, hunt and erudition. that actually has cones for critdps. then the devs pulled this stunt, now the cone choices for Acheron pullers becomes limited. or also maybe the team they can build her with.
so you telling me that you want a character to stay relevant to their path correct? and you said she doesnt debuff? oh no what im going t-
what is this ? talent applies -20% all res debuff and e4 applies ult vulnerable oh god this is not suppose to be what should a critdps nihility character would do nooooo
see what i told you? you are being too narrowminded. her kit literally plays on debuffs herself applies a debuff for her own benefit why do you think nihility should be DoT or debuffers only
also are you dumb? what is this ” Tell me. will you put her in a team that already has a designated critdps. a buffer and a sustain, a team that can use debuffer” why would you put her in a perfectly working team? that like saying “oh i will pull for her but its going to ruin my perfectly working team” this is a you problem. they put DPS in her character description and this is you not reading her kit
jesus christ if you going run her on a double dps team and she doesnt work gee i wonder why
if you want to maximize her kit then ran some calculations make your other two nihility tanky and run with a harmony character like sparkle and do a 0 cycle run like for all i care people will pull for her regardless and you complaining wont do shit
Most characters apply debuffs they benefit from, Topaz’ mark is a debuff, Ratio’s ult and A2 are both debuffs, Aventurine’s ult is a debuff, RM blossom is a debuff, even Seele’s E6 is a debuff (since you for some reason mentioned her E4), the guy is not narrowminded, you’re just climbing on mirrors.
In HSR there’s a path for everything you can think of, we have full AOE for erudition, blast for destruction, ST for hunt, and then there are sustainers and supports.
Nihility already was the most fitting path for DOTs for obvious reasons, despite them not being actual debuffs but just delayed damage, but everything else about Nihility should just be debuffs who decrease enemy’s statistics to make your other damage oriented paths deal with them.
I don’t care whether Acheron fits nihility lorewise or not, I just fully agree with the fact that she doesn’t fit the Nihility gameplay at all, she should be a destruction unit, too bad hoyo already saturated the roster with those for some reason.
I mean thats great and all but that isn’t the issue. The issue is that she’s a crit character in a path doesn’t have light cones to support crit characters when they easily could have put in her a path that has actual options for crit characters.
While her sig would still obviously be the best choice for her, i’d wager having her be correctly placed in destruction or erudition would give her far more competitive lc options at lower levels of investment than she currently has in nihility.
Her kit isn’t inline with the rest of the nihility roster we have at current and like Ten Yth said, we have units outside of nihlity that apply their own debuff as part of their kits. There really isn’t a good reason for acheron to be nihility outside of limiting the lc options she has.
wow. star rail players are really digging so deep when their game is not praised. is that the effect of giving “more” rewards? altho giving “more” rewards is quite common in turn based rpgs. and star rail is actually giving far more less. the anniversary rewards is just a normal patch rewards on some turn based rpgs.
What relevance does this have with the base point of the thread?
Crit dps of nihility path already exists in the base game: Welt.
Silver Wolf also has a crit dps build but isn’t popular.
It’s likely because you only really build her as crit at E2 cuz you don’t need as much EHR, or so I’m told anyway
