| Character Story: Part I | One day, after the morning meeting at the Yuque's Divination Commission, the solemn silence was broken by snippets of idle gossip. "First she skips morning practice, and now she runs off to the Yuque Cup tournament!" "When I confronted her, she said only a true master of augury could be called a 'Master of Cards,' and I should play her if I didn't believe it." "And you actually played against her? Did you win?" "..." Several robes fluttered in the wind, as if holding a bellyful of grievances. "Remember last time? She gathered a few young diviners at midnight to sketch matrices, claiming she wanted to test foreign divination techniques and study their strengths. Nearly scared the elder on night patrol out of his wits." "How could I forget? She publicly challenged her teacher in class with her own invented methods of divination, infuriating him so much he complained to the Master Diviner. On the simple wooden table, besides two cups of fresh tea, lay a set of divination cards for a game, seemingly veiled in a layer of long-settled dust. "Have you been to Master Jingtian's place?" "Yes, I've paid my respects." "When you left the Yuque, Master had already foreseen this day. So, you still won't consider my proposal? Look, Huaiyan has a granddaughter, Jing Yuan has a disciple. Within the Deca-Light Reflection Barrier, she had divined ceaselessly, yet never managed to grasp even a single thread of possibility that could rewrite the battle at the Fanghu. When the Reignbow's Lux Arrow fell, that inconceivable Aeonic power destroyed everything in its path, yet also forged the hope of the present. But she knew that navigating the Xianzhou through the increasingly turbulent cosmic currents would only grow more and more challenging. Yao Guang looks like a guaranteed slot in a mono elation team but there’s the fact that she’s in .0 version, so can never be too sure. definitely more future potential than Sparxie, an extra Aha instant is going to be ridiculous in a mono team and she will likely have the most elation% in the team while enabling them to do Elation DMG like HMC/Fugue. Another 200 spd character to build…

Well, she wasn’t free when she came out, she only became free about 1,4 years after she released
she just straight up summons Aha???? where’s her radiant spirit summon like lightning lord or Feixiao’s fox spirit?
i dont know what her radiant spirit is, but the thing that looks like it is the peacock feathers that she summons in her ultimate
Aha comes bundled with all Elation characters, free of charge
So her support capabilities are very limited:
– 15% increased elation dmg for enemies with her skill
– 20% RES PEN with her ult
– 10% increase all dmg for enemies with her elation skill.
That’s a total of 50% dmg increase for the team. Compare that to Tribbie E1S0 or Cipher E0S1, which both have 99% dmg increase for the team.
Of course Yao Guang is a hybrid DPS/Harmony, but if you considered pulling her only for her Harmony capabilities, just don’t.
You also missed a very important part of her kit, she deal elation damage for every attack your team performs when she’s in certified banger state, like robin.
We’re all unfamiliar with Elation scaling/mechanics, but there’s also that she gives extra Aha instants (at 20 punchline) and extends the duration of banger. I believe banger merges with existing instances so she’s double dipping with that extended duration.
first she increases elation dmg by 15% of HER ELATION stat while she self buffs said stat from building speed which you wanted anyway
second she does significant additional dmg procs making her exactly like a Robin or Tribbie in their respective niches
third her ult straight up summons Aha’s instant which the entire elation path playstyle revolves around she is THE elation support for the foreseeable furture
