| Character Details | From that holy land blessed by the tripartite prophecy, the messenger split into a thousand forms, embarking on a long journey. | Character Story: Part I | "Date: ▇▇▇ / ▇▇ It's been ten years since we fled Janusopolis. In those ten years, we measured the earth with our steps, unknowingly covering every corner of Amphoreus. The spread of the black tide has been far worse than expected. From west to east, from south to north, even cities high in the sky have not been spared... We watched as tiny nations were consumed overnight by the growing black tide, turning all life into its fuel, surging forward with even greater force... The once-glorious past of Amphoreus is gone, replaced by overwhelming decay, raging Titans, fallen heroes, and displaced people. But those consumed by the Strife fail to see. The black tide has drawn near the inland cities. These cities are rich and well-connected, thriving on trade, but some dismissed our prophecy as nonsense and saw us as mere priests of bad omens, with no one listening, no one caring... If it takes shedding blood to unite the people, why not let it start with us? Tri▇▇▇▇, I know you went to the front lines to send word of the black tide's advance, only to be struck down by the arrows of Black Tide Creatures. Tri▇▇▇▇, I know you helped the refugees escape, only to be despised by the nobility and left to die by an assassin's dagger. Tri▇▇▇▇, I know you escorted lost children, so close to safety. Your bright braids are now soaked in blood, and we can no longer braid or care for them. With the fall of one city after another, the people are beginning to look beyond their endless conflicts and see the world on the brink of collapse. The blood of the innocent will not be shed in vain. We've walked the first steps through thorns, hoping those who follow us will go farther than we ever could..." * Unlocked at Character Level |
| Character Story: Part II | "Date: ▇▇▇ / ▇▇ 'Holy Maiden, we are ready to listen. Guide us through these end times and pray for our victory in battle,' said the kings. The kings restored the identity of the Holy Maiden of Janus to us, placed us on an altar, dressed us in silk, and concealed our faces with ceremony. Yet, we did not return to the city but lived in the castle. We wished to pray for the sick farmers and wandering warriors, to ease the sorrow of the grieving, to guide the lost, to bless the newly-weds, and to watch them sing around the bonfire. Yet, just as it was in Janusopolis, the kings were unwilling to see us mingle with the people... Mother, at this moment, we truly understand your helplessness and despair back then. We once believed that the prophecy would compel the kings to set aside their grievances and unite in search of the Chrysos Heirs, offering a glimmer of hope for salvation. Yet, they fear those with golden blood might strip them of their power. What they desire are wars waged in the name of prophecy. The hard-earned trust and the expectant gazes of the people are gradually being eroded. The Coreflame of Janus burns ever hotter, and the golden prophecy continues to scrutinize us, urging us onward. We decided to flee. Tri▇▇▇▇ and Trianne opened the Century Gate, planning to meet in the dense forest, but encountered a rain of poisoned arrows. Trianne dodged a disaster but was unfortunately taken hostage by soldiers, becoming increasingly distant from us. Tri▇▇▇▇ chose to charge at the enemy's spear, clinging to the soldier who tried to withdraw his weapon, but we underestimated the king's cruelty. Even in death, we could not be claimed by other city-states. ... The pain inflicted was many times greater than usual. This spring, most of us remain forever in the wilds where flowers have yet to bloom. Goodbye, Tri▇▇▇▇. Goodbye, Tri▇▇▇▇. Goodbye, Tri▇▇▇▇. ... Trianne, we are not yet ready to say goodbye to you. Please be sure to find us again... Tonight, we will be able to cross this wilderness." * Unlocked at Character Level |
| Character Story: Part III | "Date: ▇▇▇ / ▇▇ The first time we met Agy, she told us she was fond of the name Tribios, praising it as noble and beautiful, much like the garments she crafted. We asked if that was her sole reason for keeping us around. She shook her head, explaining she mainly wanted to hear this teacher's nightly tales. Agy was also just a girl back then, afraid of the dark and ghosts. Remembering how her cravings led us on stealthy trips to the kitchen for leftover bread at night always brings a smile to our faces. Time is a sculptor, and having shaped Cerydra and Hysilens, now it has rendered Agy beautifully. Agy never lets anyone down, just as we've always taught her. Her golden threads weave a dense net, ensnaring any foe that dares come close to her fingertips. Yet the Cleaners who dwell in the shadows ambushed our team on the return journey. The assassins loyal to the Council of Elders would never allow the growth of Chrysos Heir who could lead the holy city of Okhema. We are no different. We, too, would rather sacrifice ourselves rather than stand by and look on as the young heroes' lives were cut short — We managed to escape the ordeal using the Century Gate, though our consciousness grew hazy by one more portion... After the last passage through the Century Gate, I feared we'd never find Trinnon and Tribbie again... Don't worry, Agy. It's not our time yet. We just need a brief rest, and we'll be back on our feet... But we must hasten our steps now..." * Unlocked at Character Level |
| Character Story: Part IV | "Date: ▇▇▇ / ▇▇ The dreams are fading...Hyacine said it's because there's less and less we can remember. But today, we dreamed of countless paths stretching into the darkness. The sky was pitch black, and we kept running and running, but no matter how far we went, we couldn't find a way out... 'Don't be afraid. The brvae is here!' The supremely mighty Snowy descended from the sky, driving away the monsters for us. 'Teacher, fly forward!' The tiny purple Cas flapped her wings, blowing away the stones ahead. 'Bang Bang!' The strong gray raccoon struck with great force! 'Hmph—' The red lion devoured the villains! Our reliable new companions! They took the torches from those who came before, each one lighting up the darkness in turn. But the torchlight in our hands is dying down — we need to hurry forward! — With this thought, our bodies began to grow, becoming so big that we could touch the sky without even lifting our hands. Our toes sank into the vast blue sea, while green leaves sporuted from our fingertips. Trianne's voice became the sound of rushing wind, carrying distant sands, and Trinnon rested upon soft, snow-capped mountains, ears filled with the lullaby of wind and rain. And so we walked and walked, and soon there was only one path left before us — Ahead, the sky turned rosy, the ground silver-white. The west wind blew, and the fields were in full bloom. Wait... this place feels familiar. Is this Amphoreus? The roadside springs tasted of hoeny and milk, and the trees were heavy with endless fruit. As we walked on, the moon and stars climbed the sky — that was Tri▇ gliding among them! Ahead of us was also Tri▇, Tri▇, Tri▇... It turns out everyone was waiting for us at the destination! Look, there in the distance, Mother is greeting us! She's waving, smiling at us! Shall we go? Hmm, one day we will come! But our journey isn't over yet! So, see you tomorrow? We will meet 'tomorrow'! Yes, see you tomorrow." * Unlocked at Character Level |

161 responses to “Tribbie”
have anyone tested E0 Tribbie with Planetary Rendezvouz?
Robin is still a better ally for feixiao than tribbie. Idk why people are freaking out like she doesn’t have any purpose anymore.
Because the meaning of powercreep is lost completely in Star Rail’s community. True powercreep is rendering the older one obsolete. What we have in star rail is “A is definitely better than B, but B can still get the job done” for most characters barring an unfortunate few.
Now I dunno anything about Tribbie vs Robin as I have no interest or desire to ever pull this creature, and I seriously doubt Robin’s kit is suddenly worthless, but if I had to guess, there was a showcase that showed a faster clear with Tribbie and people are blowing it out of proportion as usual.
Power creep is when a character’s role is canibalized by another. If “A is better than B,” then “B can still get the job done” is irrelevant. It’s power creep. If you have both options, and you’ve got no reason to pick one over the other, they’re obsolete. Don’t know how the dickens you got to “can still get the job done” being relevant to anyone in any discussion in any context.
Let’s say your toilet is clogged with shit. You have 2 options: you can use a plunger, or you can use a hose and literally suck the shit out with your own two puckered lips. The latter will “still get the job done” but who the schmuck asked and why would I care about the opinion of someone who would pick the latter?
Lmao if you think those scenarios are in any way comparable, then I have nothing more to say as any further discussion with someone like that is pointless.
Have a good day and good luck with whatever your pull plans are!
Next time, save us both some time and just say you’d suck the shit out of the toilet.
I would agree with your idea of powercreep. Tribbie has a lot of advantages over Robin, but Robin is not obsolete by a long shot. And there are things that Robin does better than Tribbie, such as the teamwide action advance.
I think that Tribbie is worth pulling for her kit, even though her design is kinda mid. I need a support for my The Herta team and I think she has a satisfying playstyle. If design is a deal-breaker for you then obviously don’t pull for her. But if you pull characters for their kits like I do, then I would say she’s good to have.
So how do you think a unit is considered “obsolete”?
Define obsolete
A character becomes obsolete when a new character fulfills the exact same role, but the game content is adjusted in a way that the old character is no longer sufficient to complete it. This effectively forces players to use the new character.
So no, there is no power creep and the Hoyoverse community is crying over nothing as always. 🙂
if thats the case then there will never be a powercreep for atleast a decade since all unit under same role can finish all moc and get its reward (despite having 10 cycle difference lol)
Before we can really define what is ‘obsolete’ we have to define what they are being compared under.
If the entire baseline is ‘zero cycling’ then…that is how you make powercreep go the fastest. And that is how you make units seem ‘obsolete’ the fastest. But if you look at it from just “Can clear MoC, PF, and AS?” then…no units are truly ‘obsolete’. Poorly aged, sure. But still perfectly viable. People meme on Seele, but she still gets the job done. Mydei is just Blade 2: Blade gone Blonde, but Blade still puts in work. Bronya is still fantastic, even with Sunday running around. But all those old units still put in solid work.
People also forget MoC, PF, and AS buffs also heavily effect who will be good. Remember folks were doomposting out to wazoo when JINGLIU dropped a tier but literally an MoC or two later, she shot back up because that MoC favored her heavily.
It’s only when you push to the absolute bleeding edge of DPS that things start seeming ‘dire’ and units are getting powercrept every other week. So again, it depends…what is the baseline everything is being compared on?
For everyone reading this, do yourself a favor and don’t stress over comments about pulling a character – or don’t, it’s up to you! Just pull if you like a character, and if you don’t, don’t do it.
At the end of the day, a little bit less damage won’t make any diffrence, so just enjoy the game. 🙂
for dmg and SPD advantage YES, but Tribbie can give stack for Feixiao ult faster (more if using March Hunt or maybe can play with 3 harmony like Robin, Sunday and Tribbie since her can replace March).. also both have different way to use? 🤔
Fei sustain 5 cost 0 cycle reaver. Look inside, Tribbie is used while Robin is not found. What does it mean? Now Robin even has no niche anymore, and is just straight up a sidegrade to every single team.
Trib was already broken, and now she’s even more in v3, with more uptime (arguably 100%), and the best e1 in the game: ST = Robin e1, AOE = 5 Robin e1 (practically)
It’s predatory, guys, like how David nerfed iron calvary relic for Boothill to sell Firefly. They make sure Robin is useless to sell Trib, or else everyone will keep yapping “why do I need this loli when a certain bird exists?” Oh I forgot I just describe gacha game, especially meta-heavy ones like HSR.
“Robin has AA?” Dps nowadays either AAs themselves, or is fast af boy like Aglaea, so that her AA isn’t impactful anymore.
“Just use Robin in other team?” Good luck trying to beat RMC.
Ultimately, they don’t serve different purposes after v3 anymore. Instead, Trib just serves what Robin serves, plus more purposes in AOE. There is also an alarming message to those who save for Robin: will be his predatory targets if u main her. I main Robin (and my girl Ayaka too), so u don’t have to.
If I had a nickel for every time a loli burried my main alive, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice. It’s beyond just the nature of gacha games. It’s a coincidence!
They used the AoE support DPS hybrid against the AoE boss??
These doomposters getting crazy
Sorry, but this is probably one of the worst takes I’ve ever seen from this community.
Still loses to “I hate acheron because now every nihility is OBLIGATED to be her support, ruining the archetype forever” during Jiaoqiu release, ignoring completely the fact that the last pure debuffer released was literal Silver Wolf back in 1.1 and now Fugue is, yet, another break support.
What were you expecting when pulling for a universal support in a game with 2 premium units every patch? Of course new supports will release that fill niches, eating space of generalists every new patch, or else what is the point of releasing them?
Unless you’re against niche supports such as Shenhe, Mx. Ayaka C6
Talking about burying Robin like she wasn’t one of the best units in the game since her release until now and a support that would fit in 9 out of 10 team comps, just because a new support will be better in some of those
Robin works differently than tribbie
robin buffs your whole with raw dmg like giving protien to a man to gain some muscles so he can punch harder
tribbie buffs you with res pen which is like giving a man a knife so he can stab harder than using his own arm to stab
two of them works differently and gives out different buffs pick whatever suits your team
They made Robin overall the best option for everything outside Superbreak. So now to sell a new harmony they need something better, a side grade or enemies that present a problem that is solved by these new characters.
Ok I just did the calculations for a 2 turn ult:
Meshing Cogs:
5 from ult + 30 from skill + 20 from basic + 16 from meshing cogs + 15 from 3 follow-ups, provided all 3 allies ult = 86
86 * 1.2444 = 107.0184
This means that you will need to gain 13 energy from getting hit and/or following-up extra times and/or defeating enemies. This is not too difficult, but there’s no guarantee.
Signature:
5 from ult + 30 from skill + 20 from basic + 42 from 3 follow-ups, provided all 3 allies ult = 97
97 * 1.2444 = 120.7068
You need her signature to guarantee her ult once every two turns.
Note: 1.2444 is an ER rope + an ER set
I recommend “Lushaka, The Sunken Seas” for the ATK buff, but “Sprightly Vonwacq” will give some QoL and “Penacony, Land of the Dreams” is the strongest for Mono-Quantum.
Vonwacq is 100% the pick for ERR sets at S0 in order to get her ult field up as soon as possible at the start of the battle. S1 means Lushaka gains some utility, but the attack buff isn’t universal, not every DPS will want it. Finally having a use for those cracked ERR ropes with CR/CD that were a lesson in irony before will be nice.
Vonwacq is nice but her base speed is really low, and because of her role as a buffer where you want to keep her buffs up longer, sacrificing your boots’ HP% for speed (or your subs, for that matter) really isn’t worth the upsides, especially since she’s a perfect candidate to use 4pc Poet to alleviate substat pressure.
If you have external sources of ER, such as Huohuo, it could also be beneficial to forego an ER planar to opt for the upcoming Bone Collection set, which will increase her personal damage slightly (or again, alleviate substat pressure).
People doomposting about Robin forgetting that the game is Harmony: Support Rail, and that they can just run Robin and Tribbie together……………
Why use a sustain when you can just blow up the game with a team like Herta, Jade, Robin/RMC, and Tribbie?
In general, while Tribbie is indeed powerful and looking to be a must-pull, her use cases still differ from that of Robin, and again you can just use the two in tandem or on two sides. Definitely no reason to scream power creep into the void when the units want different team compositions in the first place….
meshing cogs energy regen reset after anyone’s turn so it would be relatively easy as her fua would benefit from cogs as well
V3 seems to fix her energy issues.
Ult: 180 -> 120 Energy
Basic now regenerates 20 Energy where it used to be 10
Trace 3 lowered from 48 to 30 energy, a nerf but reasonable because of the 120 ult cost
Ult Zone lowered from 3 turns to 2. This is a nerf, but it’s honestly manageable with proper energy regen Relics and LCs.
They also buffed her LC’s energy regen from 18 per ult to 9 per follow up
My main concern with her was that her ult was too difficult to activate, so this is a good change.
Someone should do the energy calculations for her, but I believe an ER rope is still good.
Alright so I ran some calcs for how she performs with The Herta, and overall it seems like whether you use her or RMC is mostly a matter of preference. With her signature, she provides a similar dmg buff to an RMC with 220 CD, with RMC’s buff only getting better as their CD increases. It mainly comes down to whether you prefer the teamwide buffs and followup attacks, or the frequent action advances/engaging gameplay of the Mem management.
If you’re running Jade with THerta as the debt collector, RMC will be better as the extra turns will enable more frequent follow-ups, and Jade doesn’t ult as much as other options anyways. If you’re running Argenti/Passkey Serval, Tribbie will be better, as the ult spam will enable frequent follow-ups and charge THerta like crazy.
So basically, a nice option, but definitely not a necessity for a cracked THerta team.
if not going for tribbie s1, what lc options would be great on her? or is s1 kinda needed?
S1 is quite mandatory for many players because the only other good option they could have, if not going for her signature lightcone, is the meshing cogs.
probably sparkle lc is a good alternative for team buffs
if you want tribbie to deal a more personal dmg(without s1) then For Tomorrow’s Journey on slow build might be good as well
Definitely not mandatory despite what many will tell you. You can achieve full ult uptime without it if running meshing cogs, and if you’re using Vonwacq you can get the ult up at the start of battle too, though it does rule out Poet as an option. For her team buffs alone, S1 is not worth it, but for personal damage it’s a massive improvement. For other options, Dance, Dance, Dance! is always good, and Memories of the Past can replace Meshing Cogs for more stats.
poet of mourning collapse only checks a character’s speed before battle and so speed boosts after battle starts and action advance do not change the Crit Rate buff.
I couldn’t even take it anymore, like how on Earth people can be this stupid, who the fuck even suggest DDD on 3B, she creates the damn zone, not using the buff on allies you baka. Memories of the Past is useless when you’re not fast, if you are fast buff will expire fast too. If you ever use Vonwacq you need your speed on 120+, if you ever use your so-called 120+ spd 3B, you can’t use the damn new 4pcs quantum set on her, then no crit rate bonus > can’t crit > no dmg, or are you gonna put a DPS set on her? Like FUA one? She didn’t give that much hit for Infernal set and she scales with HP for another which requires attack scaling. Is your brain used as decoration only?
i got e2s1 ruan mei and robin e1 do i need her?
Pull for even more Harmony 😎
Ur roster of support is never enough
I’m in need of guidance :s
as for aoe/blase characters I have jade, Blade, Herta 4*, yunli
I have Robin, Ruan Mei and e5 bronya (+Sunday in the future)
and notable support to pull for: huohuo, Lingsha
is tribbie a good improvement to teams with these characters or a more of a luxury pull to play around with? I’m not crazy about meta but I liked the characters design, kit n stuff. would love to know what u think! <3
Some of y’all need to calm down. Robin is not getting replaced and Tribbie is more than useful as a support. Robin and Tribbie were created for different purposes. Trying to compare Robin and Tribbie is like trying to compare Robin with Ruan Mei. Yes, both Robin and Ruan Mei can stack on their own damage, but one was created for single target and the other was created for break. Just like that, Robin was created for single target follow up characters as well as other single target characters (such as Feixiao, Topaz, March 7th, Moze, Dr. Ratio, and sometimes Boothill) and Tribbie was created for Erudition Crit DPSes as well as some Non-Erudition AoE/Blast units and both of the HP-scaling Destruction units. These would be, but not limited to, Herta, The Herta, Jade, Qingque, Serval, Argenti, Jing Yuan, Blade, Mydei, Clara, Yunli, and possibly Black Swan and Kafka as well.
While Tribbie benefits more characters and is generally better than Robin in AoE scenarios, don’t forget that Tribbie’s damage falls off in single target teams and in scenarios with only 1-2 targets. Tribbie also lacks AA, which can make the difference between a 2 and 3 star clear.
We need to stop comparing an AoE support to a single target support. Both Robin and Tribbie are equally good in each character’s respective niche. Just because some of the new characters and enemies are AoE focused does NOT mean that single target DPSes are useless now. Nobody is falling off, they are just making more playstyles available. And stop treating Tribbie like a bad character, she is the best support against multiple targets (3-5).

TLDR, stop doomposting about Tribbie and Robin, they were made to fill a specific niche (AoE vs ST) and are not meant to be compared to each other. They are both equally good in their own niche.
robin is fua support in general not ST support dedicated for the hunt, JY and yunler am a joke to u? nvI’ll still pull tribbieeeeeeeeeeeees
