Guys actually im usung Moze for FUA team should i get Topaz for a better team or not?
Feixiao is E0S1, Robin E0S0 and DHPT E0S1.
Better question is if you need to use your free pull for Luocha/RM rather than Topaz. Follow-up attack teams are pretty flexible, I’ve found that Moze/M8/Robin/Topaz can flex in and out perfectly fine based on the fight.
should I get the free e1 Ruan Mei now that we’re getting another of whatever the currency is to buy shop five stars? I’m unfortunately skipping the chance to e1 my Tribbie for Phainon eidolons
Not really, in my opinion anyways. Defense ignore isn’t much of a use nowadays since all Hoyoverse do is HP inflation and not increase enemy’s defense.
Enemy def stats increases with enemy lv, the higher the better the value of def shred/ignore (cap at 100%) in increasing damage so def shred/ignore is always appreciated in all types of teams so how it is useless?

Store has seemed to be filler for comps so far – Luocha/RM were nice to plug the holes in something like a Castorice team, and I’m betting that Topaz will jive with at least some 4.X units.
People don’t understand that making Cyrene stronger will kill the old characters. Because when it comes time to sell new characters, they should be stronger and better than the Cyrene pack. Hoyo will simply double the enemies’ HP and make the new characters strong, but the old characters will die.
Old characters will die anyways in few patches, and enemy hp will be doubled either way.
It’s also not even about her strength itself. If she was 10-20% weaker but had a normal ult, there wouldn’t be as much shit talk about her – sure she might not be an undisputed upgrade to Amphoreus teams, and those teams will die soon anyway, but at least one can have some fun playing her and those characters with new effects until that happens. Wouldn’t be the first time.
Instead, one has to do really weird shenanigans to get her ult reasonably fast in any team that’s not full memosprites AND there’s an obvious e2 that sells you the solution. So if you are someone who wants to get her, knowing well that she is a heavily time-limited character, you still have to deal with the shitty ult stacking or pay up, and that’s what makes people upset.
It’s literally gives you free ult for the whole team which is worth at least 3 turn for most of the characters in the game and “Future” held by memosprites cannot be consumed therefore summon don’t affect her recollection/stack.
Sure. She also does it when normally the fight would already end, or be close to it. If I want to use her with Phainon, for example, he can easily get a full ult in his current teams faster than a Phanon-Cyrene team will stack Cyrene. Sure, memosprite teams will stack her rather fast, but that’s one team in the game. This isn’t even a meta reason(endgame content that’s not AA gives enough cycles for her to stack her ult and do her job), this is “I want to pull for fun” reason – stacking her ult for so long isn’t fun even if it pays off. Maybe once powercreep catches up and Amphoreus teams will be stuck at 5 cycle clears, her visible value for those teams will be improved(you still stack as fast, but the rest of the combat lasts longer).
Obviously she’s not meant to replace bis support on certain team (like Phainon) except without eidolon, and i don’t care if you find it not fun bc it’s just your opinion which is subjective. Doesn’t change the fact that Cyrene is a solid meta character
E0 Cyrene is not optimal in the Phainon team, it doesn’t mean she is not good. Just like Tribbie who performs worse than Robin in the Aglaea team or Sunday in the Castorice team. No support can be BIS on every teams
She is not just “not bis”, she is actively worse than existing options. Forget replacing Cerydra in Phainon teams, putting her with Phainon-Cerydra core demands that you play sustainless with RMC and restart whenever enemy hits don’t hit the required targets – tell me how that’s an enjoyable gameplay? Not to mention that Cerydra isn’t exactly a popular unit, I’m pretty sure most people skipped her, and without her Cyrene is basically unuseable in Phainon teams or in carry Anaxa teams.
She is good meta-wise, yes: she will be an upgrade for Castorice and few other teams, and when powercreep and hp inflation catch up her stacking downside won’t be as important(losing one cycle out of 5 to charge her ult is nowhere as bad as losing one cycle out of two). But she is a unit with an expiration date, so demands for her are higher than for usual characters – we can expect CH units to get better supports/dpsers in the future, but there’s no way we will get other CH units for Cyrene, so she has to be borderline busted to compete, and she is nowhere near that.
Cyrene is BIS for Evernight/Mydei/Aglaea or Saber tied with Sunday.
Replace Castorice with RMC/RM and instead invest the cost of her and Hyacine LC for Cyrene’s Eidolon and you’ll get best team in the game, Cipher is universal support yet niche like Cerydra is better bc her teams are stronger so does Cyrene.
every amphoreus character has killed previous characters viability except for like 10/66 non-amph characters. this is a hsr greed and inflation problem not a cyrene problem.
what kills the older characters are the crazy hp inflation and then make crazy unit to justify it. they can always make everyone viable to clear 10 cycle but they just don’t want to. cyrene is made flawed and e2 sold as solution, not that she is weak. also her damage is laughable before e2 while firing fking shooting stars, it’s just the disappointing mismatch expectations (yes people have expectations)

At least for the trade-off we got two free 5* though. Hope they change things around with their character kit philosopy in 4.x, or I’m gonna keep being apathetic around every new character when they come out :/
