I miss where paths were actually made for specific roles (e.g The hunt for focused ST damage, erudition for AoE damage, Harmony for buff, Nihility for Debuff, Abundance for heal, etc). Remembrance is a mistake and now they make the exact same shit for Elation. Playing for waifu/husbo is literally the only correct way to play, forget about combat
On the flipside I feel like it left with some weird lore disconnects – Jingyuan being erudition can be written off as him being a strategy-focused general, but characters like Sparkle and Fu Xuan were always weird.
I don’t think it’s every going to be perfect, but at least this way paths can have varied roles so you don’t pigeonhole every healer into being abundance – literally none of them match abundance in the slightest, with many being completely opposed to it (Luocha obviously notwithstanding)

See I don’t actually mind SPs. I’d rather have characters I already know continue to grow and be part of the story, than be overburdened by too many different characters that get snippets of story and then are irrelevant and disappear until the final battle when the power of friendship brings us all together again.
I mean we just had 12 newly introduced characters in Amphoreus, with the only exceptions in all of 3.X being DHIL, The Herta, and Constance.
Here’s hoping la mancha works with feixiao. A shot in the dark, she most likely replaces her as a dps, But a man can dream.
