The bronseele/phaidei ships are just ambiguous projection made by the fans, not explicitly shown outright by the devs. You can’t justify the fact that “straight harem games” are the only way forward for successful gacha games. Different people want different things, that’s why games unknowingly adapt to such diverse communities by allowing multiple interpretations. Hell, Blue Archive can have such implied yaoi ships if you know where to look. Even ExuMosti (Arknights) is the ship that sails in my headcanon mind.
