  1. say how do I maximize her speed? I’m stuck at 141 but have 60/220 crit and am using the 4* lc with phainon and mydei.

    the herta shop lc is used by evernight since it needs skill to be used

    I’m running the new relic and ornament set so do I need to change to 2 piece combination

    i have teamed her with cas evernight and luocha and they all have much Greater speed than cyrene in battle so she doesn’t ult before 10th wave of 24 wave calyx

  2. Let’s be honest

    If Cyrene is bad because of a lack of synergy with non-CH characters, does this mean Ruan Mei and Cipher are better than Tribbie/Robin/Sunday and you should pull them?

    As for CH characters, based on tests from various TCs, ironically:
    -Tribbie requires an E1 addition to compete competitively against E0 Cyrene unless in PF mode (only for AOE dps)
    -Cyrene is better than Sunday or Robin for Aglaea or Mydei
    -Cyrene is better than every current support for a Hysilen Dot team
    -Cyrene is better than Sunday for Phainon + Cerydra with proper spd tuning. Also, the higher your Phainon vertical investment, the better Cyrene’s value here
    -What’s more ironic is that even in the Herta + Anaxa team, Cyrene is better than Tribbie in situations where the enemy numbers are 3 or less

    • It would be helpful to provide links or at least give more info about teams being compared, because this does sound like a lot of bs.
      Hysilens dot team has one CH unit(two if you slot in DHPT) and no action advance, Cyrene doing well in those teams sounds like massive cap without a comparison video. Though dot teams are already falling off and not zerocycling anything, so it would make sense that wasting a cycle for Cyrene to buff Hysilens isn’t a big deal.

      You do realize that almost nobody pulled for Cerydra? She is Cyrene++, with same issues(extremely limited, eidolon bait) and without the year-long hype. And without her Cyrene doesn’t work at all for Phainon. Phainon mains are better off saving for Cerydra’s rerun, or, if they have her already – for his E2.

        3. If you think additional meteor only mean more dmg then you’re missing a lot of things, Cerydra allowing E0 Phainon for 3* clear Knight II AA and 0 cyc King within lowest requirement possible (E2S1 Phainon, E0S5 free event LC Cerydra, S1 Bronya, RMC)

      You either have her replace BS and still run Kafka, or you run some Cerydra janky team. Most assume E1 Hysilens, and either way you get the most janky and backlogged team possible, on an archetype that already has issues with being backlogged. Very much a sidegrade for everyone that already has DoT comp (because why else would you’ve pulled Hysilens?)

        2. Let’s be a special person like you said and only have E0 Cyrene as your CH in your acc, even then you can still play her with TB to clear suitable endgame. Ironically Tribbie isn’t much worth of pull either over free RM/TB if you don’t pull for CH DPS unless you’re The Herta main
        3. Aglaea current best team is with Cyrene, Tribbie/Cipher, and Hyacine/DHPT
        4. Idk why ppl think that you need full CH team for Cyrene to work? you’re only missing 3 initial stack in Hysilens team

    Sense the special program is out now I want to hear some final thoughts!
    – Is Cyrene’s kit really all that bad? or is it just not meta? or perhaps was it just overhyped and now is underwhelming upon release.
    – are there parts you do like? specific parts you don’t?
    – what would you change in her kit? big things, small things, everything?
    – and finally, just cuz I hear comparisons a lot. if tribbie didn’t exist, would this kit still be as bad as im hearing?

      – Cyrenes kit isn’t bad it’s just not universal and isn’t gonna be meta in 4.x. Her premium team doesn’t consume skillpoints and it seems the next shill is just for that, so sparkle/cerydra are more meta for that. There’s also the “oh no she can’t 0 cycle” thing. People are too obsessed with meta.
      – The CH buff mechanic is interesting but i wish they were better handled. Some buffs feel lacking (heh, remove crowd control from unstoppable Mydei)
      – I’d change the amount she can stack based on whether the unit is a CH/Remembrance or not. For example in league of legends some items are differently scaled based on the character’s range (melee or ranged) to balance the damage, some can’t even be bought because they’d be too op. Using this on Cyrene’s recollection stacking (I’m bad at kit lingo don’t read into it too much lol); Cyrene gains 3 “Recollection” stacks if the consumer of “future” is not a Remembrance character (to fix the non-remembrance character stacking). Cyrene gains 2 “Recollection” stacks If the consumer of “future” is a Chrysos Heir. (I know this is a buff to Remembrance Chyrsos Heirs but i feel like this should be okay to reward the players for having yknow A PREMIUM TEAM?? also to make the e2 an upgrade and not a must-have.)
      – Genuinely, the whole tribbie situation is stupid. Why compare two units that can easily be used in two different teams? Anomaly Arbitration exists, You can use both these supports for that. Also, I haven’t played it yet, so correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t the battles last a while? Cyrene would be perfect for that. Sure it doesn’t give jades, but aren’t these people complaining mad about not being able to 0 cycle? you know the thing that doesn’t really matter for jades. You can 9 cycle and still get your jades. There’s the divergent universe Intellitron difficulty thing, those fights are so long with no cycles, I’m planning to use her there the most to make the battles last longer cuz I got her premium team ready and they shred like crazy.

    • 1) No her kit is not that bad. It’s just because she is a harmony remembrance character, that buffs only chrysos hiers. this make her less future proof than Sunday/Ruan Mei/ Robin.
      2) She is tailor built for chrysos hier teams , making her perform poorly in other teams.
      even though the best buff in the whole game is true damage.
      3)Small thing I would like to change is her Remove the future to recollection conversation, such that 1 turn by anyone = 1 recollection.
      also lower her Ult cost to 18.
      4) yes people would still say she is bad.

    • Her kit is stronger the weaker your team is – she takes time to charge stacks, and superbuffs the team afterwards. If one is used to 0cycle clears, she takes a lot of effort to replicate that, but for slower clears she should be an upgrade. Naturally, people paying most attention to meta also happen to have stronger teams, so they usually do value the 0-cycle ability.
      Reasons most people(including me) dislike her are(aside from already mentioned low 0-cycle ability):
      -at a baseline she’s best used in an already overshilled team(Castorice-Hyacine);
      -E2 basically solving the slow stacking in any other team, which people see as a spending bait;
      -she is limited to Chrysos Heir buffing so once those teams fall off(and there’s no reason to believe they won’t), she will fall off too, which is rather shitty given that a new region and shill mechanic is about to drop, most probably intentionally hardcountering current best teams to shill new ones;
      -for some, losing smol Cyrene we knew over several patches just to get this wedding-themed adult one is not what they were looking for

      If I could make a change myself, it would be either:
      -better buffs for non-CH units to make her a bit more futureproof(those would have to be significantly better than what’s present: not only actual buffs are really meh, but she also loses her passive start-of-combat stacks without CH/Remembrance units);
      -faster stacking(remove “Future” consumption for characters and let her generate 3 stacks with basic attack so she doesn’t have to spam skill for no reason, maybe remove memosprites stacking to compensate, she is already great with memosprite teams) or just more stacks at combat start

          I sure a lot of people are just miffed that there aren’t a whole lot of memosprite teams that she can be played on atm. I think currently this makes the biggest difference in Casto teams (especially premium).

        Yea I totally get that reason! I thought the premium team for casto was complete after evernight haha! it did feel a bit odd to give another premium support for a team that wasn’t even behind in the first place! if cyrenes buffing capabilities for casto came at the end of 4.X, it’d be less odd for me. and stack gen on basic also sounds wonderful!
        i may be part of that some lol! im not the biggest fan of the wedding aesthetic, but overall, i don’t mind as much since i understand she’s star rail elysia. i do still wish they kept some of her tarot card, or writing aesthetic from smolrene.

    • just gonna throw in my own two cents into the matter:

      1. Is her kit really all that bad?
      – i’d have to give a firm “it depends”. the “main” issue stems from her ultimate: its the MOST important part of her. its WHY you would want to pull her. but because of how long it takes to charge, it really REALLY knocks her down a few pegs. (thats why people say her e2 is a must if you get her, because they you start battles with 16/24 charges automatically). other than that, i guess she’s… okay. for such a hyped character, both by the game and community, it would be assumed she’d be good. i guess in hoyoverse’s minds, people like cyrene and elysia enough to pull regardless of her kit.

      3. What would you change?
      – I can’t give a fair word in here, to be honest. Her whole thing is working with the Amphoreus cast… I do not like Amphoreus, LOL. (just my own adhd at work here, found the story dragged too much, but thats neither here nor there). And to be honest, I like that about her. It makes sense. Also, nice for them to get a “dedicated” support. Really, I would cut her ult cost down to just 16 charges and change her e2 to remove that bonus. I just find it really, really stupid.

      4. Without Tribbie, how does she compare.
      – eh. i guess she’s technically (and would be) their BiS, but probably not by much. for example, cassie wants hyacine and evernight frst. and if you already have tribbie, theres no need to replace her with cyrene (unless youre trying to run another team, like therta, and dont have a good support for her like robin). without getting into too much detail: evernight – works about the same as with robin. aglaea – would rather take sunday. hysilens is dot, so she wants a dot team more than anything else. and if you ONLY have cipher, tribbie or cerydra, you dont even need cyrene.

      — simply put, in my very hater-filled opinion : cyrene is niche. and she isn’t even that good at it. i would 100% suggest getting someone like tribbie, robin or sunday if you dont have them yet (or their e1, if you dont have it already, or their lc). in most cases, they work the same as, better, or a bit worse than cyrene, and come with the bonus of being used outside of amphoreous-only or mono-chrisos teams.

        – ah I see! other responses have agreed. from what I’ve gathered memosprites in general are good for her stacking. I’ve come around over the months and dont think shes horrid, so i feel a bit odd using this term, but I’ve heard a few people say shes a good example for the actual definition of Waifu bait. and i totally agree that the hype pre leaks and beta was really-really high, and as you’ve sorta mentioned, it is Elysia after all.

        – hey that’s fair, everyone’s different! I love the amphoreous cast! ^v^
        i haven’t really read the eidolons (T-T) but i totally understand the ick feeling of important kit qualities not being a part of the base.

        – yea that’s about what ive gathered too. i do still like cyrene and will def go on rerun for her and my evernight dps team, i personally think it runs just fine atm. it may take me a couple of tries, but that’s the fun part haha. I’ll be trying for zoom kitty this time! (cipher) while it’s probably not the most cost-effective option, I feel that my main teams are fine, and the secondary ones need cipher.

        – thank you! i do have treebs and sunday+cone! if your curious my main teams are (anaxa, sunday, dh-pt, cerydra) + (evernight, gallagher, rmc, treebs)

    • 1. Cyrene is not bad, shes’s just mid. Her ult needs too much charging, which is a must to cast to reach her maximum potential. Plus, most of it’s buff is locked to Chryso Heirs. Unless you have Chryso Heirs, you aren’t gonna use her. With her E0S0, she gives team wide 24% True DMG, 20% DMG bonus and an extra 20% if you reach her 180 speed requirements. Compared to E1 S1/S0 Tribbie, it isn’t much of an increase.
      2. The only problem with her kit right now is her Ult charging time, and the Chrysos Heir gatekeep lol. Once that’s done, she doesn’t have much problem.
      3. If tribbie didn’t exist, specifically her E1, then she wouldn’t be this hated for sure.

        I do quite agree! all valid points definitely! i still wish we had more easily accessible remembrance units, and just more in general haha! maybe then it wouldn’t be too bad either.
        i definitely understand that last point too. treebs at e1 feels like the rmc update imo. DDD makes up for the loss of AA sometimes too.
