Hear me out guys. Lingsha, Firefly, Feixiao and Topaz for the follow-up, break hybrid. Firefly Implants, Feixiao and Fuyaun trigger Numby and Lingsha and Topaz generate SP. Make Firefly implant on the initial target by Topaz so she doesn’t use SP to change targets.

lingsha i feel suffers from a lot of the same problems that yunli does, kit design-wise – i actually really like how they did lingsha, yet it feels like they’re way too early in making a 5* gallagher – its rlly only been like. 4 patches since gallagher released, and 2 patches since gallagher became REALLY good
the way they did lingsha’s summon is honestly genius to me flexibility-wise – it both gives her really high toughness damage in general and allows her to be played with feixiao/ratio/fua archetypes.
the ult is. kind of boring in comparison tbh – to have it essentially be like gallagher’s ult but better doesnt exactly give way to many playstyle differences or set her apart from being gallagher
i feel like if they really wanted to expand lingsha’s versatility – well first they would make her any element other than fire lol – but also i think what couldve been a good idea is them borrowing march’s shifu toughness reduction. if lingsha’s ult were, say, a single-target buff to res pen for example, they couldve let lingsha’s attacks deal that character’s element’s toughness damage; e.g. if she were to target seele, fu yuan would be able to deal quantum toughness damage.
the idea would require a bit of a rework – maybe let fu yuan deal 45 toughness damage (old system) once again – but it would be very nice for a break-focused healer should they make another one later down the line. i adore the way the system allows toughness damage of multiple types while still keeping the core match elements to weaknesses gameplay.
theres not a lot else to say, shes a pretty well-designed unit overall, but it’s way too soon to powercreep gallagher, who was already extremely powerful – like i understand 4* to 5* upgrade but gallagher is actually extremely good in comparison to many of the other options
After v5 is lingsha at least equal to (or better than) aventurine in feixiao or dr ratio team? I don’t have aventurine so I don’t know if I should pull her or wait for aventurine rerun (I already have e6 gallagher for my firefly)
Feixiao team: Yes.
Dr. Ratio team: No.
Personally, I recommend pulling for Lingsha only if you don’t have Huohuo OR you love Firefly. On the other hand, Aventurine only if you can make his BIS team OR willing to pull E1. Otherwise, stick with Fu Xuan, Luocha, and Huohuo.
And if you are willing to pull E1, then Huohuo always wins.
if you play firefly break team, yes she worth it. if you play feixiao fua also worth it.
if you dont have aven, then simply get her. problemo solve

V5 update added an instance of bounce damage to the bunny’s attack with 10 toughness damage that preferencially hits those with Fire weak and not already broken.
Since then, under any circumstance Lingsha has higher average toughness damage than Gallagher.

v5 changers her summon to doing 2 attacks instead of 1. The extra attack is a single target hit and the target is an enemy on the field with a high toughness bar so it’s probably going to focus on the elite enemies. Not sure what this does for enemies without fire weakness but overall it seems like a good buff. Esp if it outright doubles her summons toughness red on a single target from 10 to 20 but it’s probably going to just be an added 5 so 15. (On this site the numbers are tripled for some reason.)
Still bad. They basically “reverted” her previous toughness nerf, and compensated it by nerfing her damage scaling’s, making Lingsha even worse in Pure Fiction, the only mode where she might have shined.
It’s legitimately funny that every good change Lingsha comes with, has stringed along a nerf of some kind. They are so carefully tip toeing these buffs as if she’s can easily tip the entire meta balance around
Tbh at E1 she is going to be cracked with Firefly. That’s 80% def red now for E1 Firefly with sooo much toughness reduction.
How much toughness is she now gonna reduce with V5 talent buff on single target enemies? In a combo like skill – follow – ulti – follow with E1 + Mei’s skill buff?

The internal value of toughness damage are 30 for basic attack, 60 for single target skill, and 90 for most of the single target ultimate.
The toughness damage displayed in game is one third of the internal value, thus 10 for basic attack, 20 for single target skill, and 30 for most of the single target ultimate.
This side is displaying the internal value. Most of the other sites such as Hakush and homdgcat wiki are displaying the same value displayed in game.

IDK i should happy or sad about this news, no change at all at v4 for my wife..
i wonder who want to pull her when they already have Galla E6? IDK what is inside HSR dev that made Lingsha.
Either:
– Free Lingsha (doubt)
– They are giving her one small, yet huge change (omni-break or ult is now vul for everything). Fixes her kit entirely
– They grossly overestimate how much we care about her summon, a PF healer, and overall a generalist healer with almost no buffs 😛

I don’t care about Galla. He could give more utility, i’d still choose her over him. She’s good enough to be a good sustainer for a long time….but wouldn’t mind if they gave her an extra turn for her ult or if pink eevee could generate energy, but i doubt she’ll be lacking in her role. Abundance is the only patch that all (but natasha) characters are good and futureproof somehow

Is Hoyo alergic to money? I’m seriously losing my mind, Lingsha being good would have been an awesome financial decision. Seriously imagine for a second if she would have been busted
– Sustains are the lowest priority pulls ever, they are also universal. You get two, you don’t need any (they NEED to be enticing). But WAIT, Lingsha could have:
– Lingsha chimes in perfectly into the latest fads. Want a FuA healer? A break healer? Bis for Feixiao. BIs for ur Firefly, 2 in 1 perfect pull
– Her Design is UNIQUE. Every other sustain is either male or looks like a child. Hugee selling point, to be the first cute girl in ur role
– She even works in Pure Fiction, break characters are naturally good in AS, what more could you want?
– Oh wait, she could have doubled down as a Debuffer for Acheron (popular) and Ratio (Free). Maybe not ideal but works in a pinch
Literally she would have been an attractive pull for 90% of the playerbase, if people looked at her kit and it screamed broken
Sometimes, making too much quick money kills your long run, especially when the character is a sustainer, which has never been adept at money making, even those like Huohuo and Aventurine didn’t make big sales, just as you said investing too much into a sustainer is dumb. I know you wand Lingsha and you strongly desire her to be broken, but that doesn’t make money for Hoyo as you expected.
I’m not claiming Lingsha is bad. Not being able to outperform Gallagher in every single aspect in Firefly’s team is not bad. Firefly isn’t the only DPS in the game and her team isn’t the only team in the game. It’s just like when Jingliu was the meta, people kept saying Ruan Mei to be “just a bit better than Pela” because they only took Jingliu’s team into consideration as if there were nothing else in the game and there will be no more units coming in the future.

It sounds like one of those “Ganyu cryo amber” which npcs keep repeating. She was literally the first limited harmony, and the 2nd 5 star Harmony in the game
I never said Lingsha needed to be op, but if she was Aventurine level, it would only have benefited Hoyo. The quick buck thing doesn’t even make sense, when next patch we’re getting 3 reruns of synergistic characters, and a Topaz sprinkled on top lol.

Yeah it can be good from time to time. To have a character be decent, they are good but not a big game changer. For after all, if every new character is better than the last. It might make people question their rolls and money spend on the game. Like what the point in getting these characters, if they become dated so quickly. Like being able to use your current cast of characters for awhile. Going with the idea you already have good supports, dps, healers. Letting people build up their jades and not feel pressure to roll. Can be good. For it helps to make sure they get value out of what they rolled for. Which is something you want. Given how long it can take to build a character. Be it the mats for trace skills or artifact farming. You don’t want people to go. Wow all of this was pointless, the very next patch.
Given heck, the current pure fiction. First half. Seele has been getting 40k points on it. Letting a old character people might have, get some value out of. Make them feel good, for having the character. For you want people to go, yeah I made a good choice here. Sure this character might not be the best of the best. Yet in the end. People are happy and are willing to return to the game. To play it, to spend money on it and keep these player numbers high.
I personally don’t agree on her design being particularly unique, her red tints are interesting but her (not including the pet) design is basically just another girl in Xianzhou clothes, there’s nothing wrong with liking that though. Personally I’m a little disappointed in how non-existent her vidyadhara features are visibly
We do have female not-short sustains but they’re all relegated to 4* status unfortunately (at least for you, I prefer men)
There is huge chance that she will be avilable for free like Dr.Ratio in last year. There is no any other reasion to do her to weak like now, that Galagere E2 will leave her behinde, and E6 totaly dominate above her.
