528 responses to “Jiaoqiu”
guinaifen supremacy right here
So real
Jiaoqiu could be very well the 5star fire dot to fully replace guinafen but they mess it up cos of how they created acheron kit.
Now for my mindless opinion. The only thing they can do to make the best changes to jiaoqiu is maybe making his kit the same gimmick as acheron. Having multiple nihility on the team. Cos im 100% sure. Players will use kafka/acheron black swan/pela/sparkle(if acheron is e2) jiaoqiu and whatever the 4th will be.
These are written based on Jiaoqiu’s V3 kit.
1. Jiaoqiu’s total debuff value at E0S0 is low, up to 35% generic vulnerability and 15% ultimate damage vulnerability. However he starts fast. Cast his technique, give him a skill point, and cast his ultimate, and immediately every enemy has 4 stacks of ashen roast and the ultimate is active. Guinaifen, on the other hand, has 30.4% generic vulnerability when fully stacked, but it takes too long for her to fully stack her debuff.
2. Jiaoqiu converts every action he takes into Acheron’s “energy”, and not only that, he converts every turn the enemies take into Acheron’s “energy”, too. Previously this can be done only by the light cone “Trends of the Universal Markets” and it was RNG dependant. However this comes at a price, the base chance of it is only 60%, meaning he needs 138.1% / 177.8% EHR to guarantee it vs. 30% / 40% effect res enemies. Without his signature light cone, Jiaoqiu needs ~17 substats rolls to reach 138.1%, so it is still somewhat RNG dependant.
3. Despite the ashen roast being treated as DoT, the attack multiplier of it is too low. Also, he has no DoTonation mechanic in his kit at all. Despite he is better than Guinaifen as a debuffer, he is unable to outclass Guinaifen in the DoT team unless you go for more eidolons.
Q: Is it worth it to get Jiaoqiu for Acheron?
A: It depends.
– Yes, it is worth it to replace Guinaifen / Welt / DoT units with Jiaoqiu in Acheron’s team. Pela and Jiaoqiu are quick-starting AoE debuffers and make your Acheron slashes like crazy.
– Whether it is worth it to replace Silver Wolf with Jiaoqiu depends. Silver Wolf is stronger vs. single target and Jiaoqiu is stronger vs. dual targets and pure fiction.
– If your Acheron is at E2+ and you team her with Pela & Bronya / Sparkle then it is hard to say, as in this case Jiaoqiu doesn’t really make much difference with Pela, while replacing the harmony unit with Jiaoqiu simply renders Acheron’s E2 pointless.
Q: Is it worth it to get Jiaoqiu for the DoT comp?
A: No, it is not. Jiaoqiu, Ruan Mei, and Guinaifen are almost equivalant as the 3rd member of the DoT comp, meaning it is not worth it to get Jiaoqiu for the DoT comp even if you didn’t have Ruan Mei or she was busy with other comps.
Q: Is it worth it to get Jiaoqiu for Dr.Ratio?
A: No, it is not. Jiaoqiu’s debuff value is low and he only has one instance of debuff at a time while Dr.Ratio wants three. Also, Dr.Ratio makes no use of Jiaoqiu’s ability to debuff the enemy in every turn the enemies take which Acheron appreciates.
Q: Is it worth it to get Jiaoqiu as a generic AoE debuffer?
A: No, it is not. Jiaoqiu’s debuff value is low. He won’t make much difference with Pela unless you go for E1S1, and even so he is only in par with other 5-star DPS supports.
Q: E1 or S1?
A: If you are getting Jiaoqiu for Acheron, then S1 over E1. It is feasible for Jiaoqiu at E0S1 to reach 177.8% EHR. With 100% success rate Jiaoqiu truely converts every turn the enemies take into Acheron’s energy and is never RNG dependant.
just increase his dot multiplier & add more dmg% recieve by enemy. (so he can compete with ruan mei for dot team)
instead of dot buff e2 should further boost ultimate dmg recieve by enemy.
e1 add def shred is much much better than dmg%.
regardless his kit now, i pull him anyways for my kafka & acheron.
Male characters don’t sell. And won’t sell. © Hoyo with love.
Says you bruh. I play here for the handsome men. And HAVE paid. So you’re not correct.
Stop it. You’re only benefiting a dev team who CLEARLY have waifu bias. Even Genshin treat their husbandos better. I swear if Sunday come out bad like Jiaoqiu, I’m done with this game.
Argenti is rather good and can destroy pure fiction. While still being useful outside of it. Unless things have changed for Jade. Jade is just a pure fiction bot and nothing more. Jade has it worst than a male character. When it comes to game modes they can be used for.
The currently least valuable 5 stars are mostly male units
Blade, Luocha, Argenti, and JingYuan.
Jade is about to join them though.
“BuT PuRe FiCtIoN tHiS pUre FiCtIoN tHaT”
you can easily clear pure fiction with characters that can also easily clear MoC and AS and are also very good on SU and DU.
I’m yet to hear a proper argument on how Blade bad. Mine clears MoC12 regardless of enemy weakness types most of the time.
Also, what’s with the Loucha hate? I own both him and HuoHuo, and I find myself giving HuoHuo’s Lightcone to him and using him more often.
They are not bad. You can just say “Least good” if you want to avoid hurting feelings.
Well. When we are talking how good a character is. You have to bring proof. Like show numbers or something. Talk about their damage. What is the strengths and weakness of their kit. Going they bad. Is the same as they be good. It says nothing.
Alot of people just like doomposting and shouting power creep. Without backing up their points at all. For they never seem to think wait a moment. What if someone reads their comment, who doesn’t know what they are talking about.
HuoHuo kit is good for party cleansing. Of course they are not anywhere near as spell point positive as Luocha, who can keep a team alive, in many cases without spending skill points. Unless of course the team is made of paper. Which can be a big benefit, if your running teams that are skill point heavy.
HuoHuo can pair up well with anyone that wants energy. That can lead to some wacky things like Jingliu always being in enchanted mode in the right party. Which given Robin exists, some might desire that addition energy for Robin ultimate. Which if we bring in anything beyond e0. Well HuoHuo e1 does make her more spell point friendly and also has the added benefit of giving a rather big speed boost. 12% can help many reach higher speed break points.
While Luocha e1 is an attack boost when field is up. Which does make me wonder, how many if people are comparing a e0 HuoHuo or a e1 HuoHuo vs Luocha..
Except that’s just completely wrong if you look at the data. There are plenty of male characters that have sold well. Just by looking at old data, both Jing Yuan and DHIL first banners sold better than Jingliu and Topaz’s banners, plus others.
Just because YOU wouldn’t spend on a male character doesn’t mean that everyone else won’t. And clearly, other people are willing.
The issue is more that 1st half banners routinely sell much more than 2nd half. Mainly because there is new story/events/quests/areas released alongside them, so many players hop on, play, spend since they’re playing a lot at the time and often to roll and build the new character. They then slow down or stop playing by the 2nd half where there’s mainly filler content in comparison.
Outside of Blade and DHIL, every male character has been a 2nd half banner. Blade actually sold BETTER than Kafka because of this, despite Kafka being hyped from basically day 1. That’s the main reason why the males have been selling worse.
If we’re talking power, they’re not slacking either. Boothill does crazy damage, Aventurine and Gallagher are both powerhouses and unrivaled in the sustain role in their BiS teams. Argenti will clear PF just as well as Jade will, etc. Jiaoqiu may seem weak (and his damage is sub-par as Dazz has calculated) but he will be by far the best Nihility support for Acheron, and despite being a 2nd-half banner he WILL sell because of that alone, regardless of the power of the rest of his kit.
Well in the case of Gall. He has been given away for free a few times in events. Of course he has become more desirable, due to Firefly. Due to her team being able to make good use of the whole, heal from attacking a debuff foe.
Which yeah alot like to downplay Boothill but he been able to zero cycle. He can get the job done. Which Aventurine, is a good shielder. Which given he can refresh his shield in a number of ways, he can keep up with a super speedy Seele. He even pairs very well with The Doctor alot of players got for free. Heck there is a fair number of reasons why one might want to pick up a Male character. In the case of Boothill, can make use of Bronya. Unlike Firefly. Which depending on one luck. being able to make use of a character you already own, could be seen as a great benefit.
There you go. I was on here telling you morons he’s trash and that hoyo is full of idiots and I got attacked. There yall have it, he’s even more trash and hoyo employees are working hard to look even dumber and prove me right.
Instead of making him a healer that also debuffs, which would be great for Acheron while also being usable in lots of teams, he’s not some kind of mid DOT character that’s not even comparable to Ruan Mei for DOT teams. The only thing that’s good about him is that he’s nihility, the best path.
So, is this fox actually better than SW/ Pela in an Acheron team?
In the current state (v3), I wouldn’t advise to.
Def shred increases your damage input exponentially. Meaning that from 0->10% Def shred, the dmg increase is minimal, while from 80%->90%, it is massive.
SW and Pela can reach 100% Def shred together and enable a massive damage increase. The only issue is SW being single target. Therefore the only scenario where jiaoqiu can efficiently substitute either Pela or SW, is on multi target scenarios, and that is Pure fiction. On top of that, jiaoqiu can generate stacks for acheron as in this mode the enemies have a lot of turns.
Therefore, jiaoqiu is a minimal upgrade VS pela & SW on pure fiction, and a downgrade everywhere else. If you have troubles clearing PF, he might be beneficial, but I would advise pulling for an erudition character instead, which is good because jade is coming.
All in all, there is no situation where pulling for jiaoqiu could benefit your account VS other options.
i just dont feel like 180 pulls is worth faster acheron stacking. it’s not like she currently struggles and even if somehow down the road she starts to struggle he’ll likely rerun before then.
I would like others thoughts as I’m pretty much bankrupt of jades after firefly/Ruan mei and I don’t think I’ll have enough to guarantee him by the time he comes.
So I assume this guy is good if I plan to get E0S1 Acheron in future? I hope no Acheron power creep happens like I’ve heard (Rumors, so obviously I’m not very sure about it. But still) He looks nice too so I’ll consider it. The fact he is in 2nd half helps my consideration, but I’m worried about Sunday’s release. Anyone know anything about that? Cause I really want Sunday
Stop worrying about powercreep, it’s really not much of an issue in hsr
and Sunday is set to release in 4.12 as a 4* Imaginary hunt (obviously not, we know basically nothing about him)
Heck seen someone talk about Powercreep related to Boothill not long ago. Yet when it came to zero cycling. A e0s1 Boothill was able to do it.
So yeah, people do tend to be way to quick to shot power creep. Since even old characters like lightning lord and Seele are still clearing the content. Which heck, I wouldn’t put much faith into rumors. Didn’t we have a rumor 2.1 rerun was going to be Fu-xuan and Topaz, only for that to not be the case at all. Which now we have rumors about power creep. Like a majority of the time, power creep is just way overblown and overhyped. I say overhyped, given how many people just seem to be begging for power creep. Like it addiction or something, where they want all their old characters to be render worthless, along with the relics they spend weeks if not months farming for.
If people want to know what real power creep is. Go research the history of yu-gi-oh. Which star rail unlike yu-gi-oh, doesn’t have to tailor itself to the newest shiny character power level. Given we have a end game mode focus on weakness breaking, killing large group of mobs and standard memories of chaos. A wide range of content meant for a variety of characters.
I saw one or two leaks about Sunday being 2.7 but they come from the same source so take that with a grain of salt. Also a few amount of “leaks” saying that he’s Imaginary but I’ve also heard of Ice rumors. He’s likely Harmony/ Nihility or at least some kind of support character, probably Harmony but idk. Design-wise I’ve seen a good amount of people say he’s wearing black and he could be joining the Stellaron Hunters.
looks like they really want us to skip this guy, we got the dot but he’s nerfed to the ground lmao even his sign LC got nerfed lmao
thats why i started to patrol this website frequently, must really picky about who i pull or i end up puliing a weaker pela that cost $$$$ and ten years to build
What part of him got nerfed exactly? He no longer decreases enemy ehr but there’s enough cleanses and eff res buffs in the game already
Already skipped him for E1S1 RM. Best decision ever.
