Will Pela’s EHR buff count towards his attack boost?
I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t count, though you’d obviously only see the atk increase on his stats during combat
At this point I’m only going to pull because of prospective skimpy mods
a trash npc now become a true trash. first time he release i hold my grudge toward him
since it’s still v1 but now v5 the final, i can finally say it clearly. trashqiu
nice job hoyo dev, finally i can full saving on 2.4
This chef got cooked so hard by Hoyo it’s not even funny
even as a free character he will be trash
He was yet again nerfed today it’s Jiaqover
V5 changes:
While inside the Domain, enemy targets receive 15% increased Ultimate DMG, with a 60% base chance of being inflicted with 1 stack of Ashen Roast when taking action. This effect can only trigger once per enemy turn, for a maximum of 6 times. The trigger limit is reset every time Jiaoqiu uses his Ultimate.
This is a massive nerf on Acheron teams, specifically on pure fiction.
Dude there’s no “for a maximum of 6 times” with the trigger limit resetting on ult in his description. Where did that come from? It literally just says that it can only trigger once per enemy turn.
This site hasn’t updated the info from beta V5 yet. The 6 times per ult wasn’t a thing in V4 or earlier so that’s why there’s no mention yet on here, wait for it to update and it’ll be there
but he still does have his trace:
“While the Domain exists, enemies entering combat will be inflicted with Ashen Roast. The number of stacks applied will match the highest number of “Ashen Roast” stacks possessed by any unit while the Domain is active, with a minimum of 1.0 stack(s).”
so still sounds kinda strong for PF. every enemy that comes in while his ult is active gets the debuff and should help acheron getting stacks
You are correct it’s still good damage amping that will be up on every enemy that enters battle. Except that the real V5 change/nerf was that his ultimate no longer ticks infinitely. It now has a cap of 6 triggers per ultimate.
With a 3-turn rotation when paired with Acheron, you’re going from 4 stacks + about 3 per enemy to 4 stacks + about 3 per enemy but capped at 10 total stacks.
This means nothing for 1-2 enemy scenarios unless the enemies are super fast or summon stuff, but for PF he goes from generating something like about 20+ stacks per 3 turns for Acheron to 10 maximum in that same rotation. He still generates an entire ultimate for Acheron by himself so he’s still much better than anyone else at doing so, but he’s slower than he used to be.
i know, i just wanted to point out that the trace exists as well and still gives a good amount of stacks in PF. i also don’t know how hard his 6 trigger limit really hurts him. i mean in a 2 enemy scenario 6 triggers within in 3 turns should cover all enemies actions – 2 enemies, 3 turns, 6 enemy actions – and if they have summons the trace would kick in again
but don’t get me wrong, i still think he does too little to somehow justify the pulls. he feels too much like a sidegrade and a support for a char that is already strong enough
How do you get to a limit of 10 stacks in PF?
His trace does not have the limit. Lets say you are in PF with 5 enemies on the board, every enemy moves once = 5 stacks, then acheron blasts those 5 enemies and 5 new enemies come in triggering the trace and giving 5 stacks, now someone else manages to nuke 3 more enemies and 3 new enemies come in = 3 more stacks, now the enemies can move again and give the last stack that is left from the limited 6 times trigger, so 1 additional stack
so 5 from enemies taking turns
5 from acheron killing stuff and 5 new enemies coming in
3 from killing and replacing again
1 final stack from enemies turns
= 14
Especially in PF the limit on the ultimate can be somewhat mitigated. It probably was too much to have 5 from enemies moving, 5 from enemies coming in and then an additional 3 from new enemies, followed by another 5 from enemies taking turns
So i dont understand how you get to those 10 stack limit in PF, if his trace has no limit and triggers as long as new enemies come in
please get shadow-buffed on launch, please get shadow-buffed on launch! Pretty please Mihoyo we already have like 5 busted females give us a good dude as well! ;-;
Nah, shadow nerfed before launch.
this… like give us another busted dude dps.. we get 3 5* dudes this patch and one doesnt even qualify to be a 3* at this point T—T
I’m sorry what? Aventurine is a busted as hell sustain. Gallagher is a great Breaker and healer. And Boothill gives bonkers single target damage and can apply Physical weakness. I want more guy characters as well but you do not have to lie on the others. My huge gripe with JQ is that his character description is loaded with saying how much this guy would be healing and they took it away which would make him unique. I still kinda want him cause he’s hot and might be fun on a Black Swan team.
congrats, you mentioned 3 good male characters
Indeed I did. And what do each of them have in common? They all debuted in 2.+ SO my point still stands that OP claimed the new guys were 3* quality which just isn’t true. as well as me saying I want more good male characters.
As far as good male characters from all around Luocha is always good and comfy on your team. Losing 50/50 to Gepard wouldn’t be a bad thing at all. Sampo is great no matter how you slice it. This game has loads of awesome guys. There will always be more ladies though given the target audience. Not much I can do about that.
Need some advices on my pulling plan
I plan to try a 50/50 in 2.4, either going for Jiaoqiu or Black Swan ( both if I get lucky 😀 ), how good is both of them at E0 ( not planning to pull LC ) ? I have E2S1 Acheron and E0S1 Kafka, originally I plan to pull for BS to have an actual DoT team for PF. But Jiaoqiu seem to be able to help Acheron doing better in PF as well
But so far I can still max score PF with Acheron + Kafka combo just fine, and DoT PF seems to be more of a problem for me from time to time
The PF in 2.2 is vile not only because of the DoT only blessings, but also the mobs have unusually high HP, even higher than their MoC counterparts. This is so far the only season of PF I cannot get 80k score in day 1.
With no intel about other units in your roster, I recommend Black Swan.
I am not sure how many I should list, but I guess I will try to list more
My usual DPS in PF are : E2S1 Acheron , E0S1 Kafka, E0S1 Jing Yuan, E0S1 Clara, E0S0 Topaz. Recently with E0S1 Firefly with E6S1 Herta ( Before Dawn LC ), Also E0S1 Seele but I haven’t build her good enough to do PF perfectly
Supports / debuffers : E1S1 Ruan Mei, E0S0 Robin ( I plan to E1 on rerun ), E0S1 Sparkle, E0 Fu xuan, E0 Huohuo, E0S1 Silver Wolf, E3S1 Welt
I have all current 4* characters
Been thinking trying to grab Black swan for DoT team, Aventurine for completed FUA team
Very well, you have many units to play with and don’t really need to worry about unit power.
Black Swan completes your DoT comp meaning PF will no longer be a pain for you. Acheron + Kafka + Black Swan is a universal solution to every season of PF and MoC. Just put them there and hang out with auto battle and the jades are yours.
Jiaoqiu is very useful for E0 Acheron, but E2 Acheron primarily regens her “energy” by action advancement, meaning it is less beneficial for E2 Acheron owners to get Jiaoqiu than E0 Acheron owners. You don’t gain much replacing Pela with E0 Jiaoqiu, while replacing Sparkle with Jiaoqiu is a net damage lose for the team.
I can’t say Jiaoqiu is worse than Pela in this case, he’s still better, just is it worth it to pull for the upgrade is up to you.
Pela:
• Converts every turn she takes and every ultimate she casts into Acheron’s “energy”;
• First turn ultimate if entered the battle with Pela’s technique;
• Damage increment /w S5 RSASP, assuming no other def shred in the team: ~45%; (the calculation is here: (1000 + 1150) / (1000 + (1150 * (1 – 0.58))) ≈ 1.45)
E0 Jiaoqiu:
• Converts every turn he takes, every ultimate he casts, and every turn the enemies take into Acheron’s “energy”;
• Unconditional first turn ultimate, does not block Acheron’s technique;
• Damage increment /wo light cone: 50%
Wreck it. Jiaoqiu was nerfed in V5 update. The ability to convert every turn the enemies take into Acheron’s “energy” triggers only 6 times and each enemy triggers this effect no more than once. These limitations are reset for every cast of Jiaoqiu’s ultimate.
Ain’t no way they just kill Jiaoqiu most reasonable benefit to pull him …
That nerf literally succs… the pain pull for his E0 was for Acherons PF runs… Even in stuff like MoC he needs around 9 procs to last the full ult…
and yea, that PF was pretty hard for me. Luckily Firefly + Herta did the trick on one half and Acheron + Kafka on the other for me on the last day 😀
Hi guys!
I need the opinion of people who are really good at this. is he good on a team with Acheron? I mean really good, not a little better than Pela. I’m going to use it in my pack with E2 Acheron. It will be e1 and with its own cone. Will this give a noticeable increase to the pack if I exchange Pela for him? (Acheron e2, Pela e6, Sparkle E2, Sustain)
He will be a lot better than Pela. Not only will he allow you to get another ult in a cycle, but his damage amp is greater in Acherons best team. I am going for E1/S1 and his damage amp is huge.
Bronya + Pela = 238%. 2 Ults 1 Cycle.
Bronya + Jiaoqiu = 351%. 3 Ults 1 Cycle
Yes, for Acheron he is much better than E6 Pela even at E0S0. He buffs her damage more than Pela’s defense shred, and gives you many more stacks for Acheron’s ult, like double Pela’s generation at bare minimum, and most likely a few times higher.. E2 Sparkle’s 24% does make Pela catch up a little bit, but E0S0 Jiaoqiu is still better than her.
If I understand correctly that you’re going for E1S1, though, he will be by far the best debuffer in the game. Pela won’t come close.
Jiaoqiu at E1S1 is definitely stronger than Pela, whether it is worth it is up to you.
E6 Pela /w S5 RSASP
The damage increment of 58% additional def shred when you have Sparkle’s E2:
(1000 + 1150 * (1 – 0.24)) / (1000 + 1150 * (1 – 0.24 – 0.58)) ≈ 1.55
Meaning ~55% damage increment.
E0 Jiaoqiu /wo light cone:
The damage increment is 50%.
Despite just a little bit worse than Pela, replacing her with Jiaoqiu, the debuffs have higher uptime, Jiaoqiu’s technique does not block Acheron’s, and Jiaoqiu is still able to grant some extra “energy” due to the passive debuffing of his ultimate.
+ Jiaoqiu’s signature:
The damage increment of 24% additional vulnerability is:
1.74 / 1.5 = 1.16
Meaning 16% better than E0S0. Depite doesn’t really look great, with his signature Jiaoqiu is able to reach 138.1% EHR if not 177.8%, meaning more consistantly he will grant the extra “energy” for Acheron with fewer worry about effect res.
E1 Jiaoqiu /w S1 signature:
The damage increment of 40% additional damage amp is:
(1 + 0.08 + 0.9 + 0.12 + 0.388 + 0.48 + 0.16 * 3 + 0.4) / (1 + 0.08 + 0.9 + 0.12 + 0.388 + 0.48 + 0.16 * 3) = 1.116009…
Meaning 11.6% better than E0S1. Acheron is already full of damage amp, which leads to the outcome.
You now have the data. Whether it is worth it to replace Pela with Jiaoqiu and how much pulls to spend on him is up to you to determine.
The total damage increment adding E1S1 Jiaoqiu to an empty slot is: ~94.2%.
1.74 * (1 + 0.08 + 0.9 + 0.12 + 0.388 + 0.48 + 0.16 * 3 + 0.4) / (1 + 0.08 + 0.9 + 0.12 + 0.388 + 0.48 + 0.16 * 3) = 1.9418……
The total damage increment replacing E6 Pela /w S5 RSASP with E1S1 Jiaoqiu is: ~25.1%.
1.74 * (1 + 0.08 + 0.9 + 0.12 + 0.388 + 0.48 + 0.16 * 3 + 0.4) / (1 + 0.08 + 0.9 + 0.12 + 0.388 + 0.48 + 0.16 * 3) / ((1000 + 1150 * (1 – 0.24)) / (1000 + 1150 * (1 – 0.24 – 0.58))) = 1.2507…
I can’t really say it’s a huge damage boost due to the sheer cost of pulls getting a new limited unit at E1S1 for ~25.1% damage increment. Black Swan’s E1 is 25%~30% damage increment for the whole team.
I can’t really say Jiaoqiu’s going to allow an extra ultimate for Acheron every cycle compared against Pela. The enemies has no mean to take 9 turns within 150 AV without already dead by Acheron’s ultimate. E2 Acheron charges her ultimate primarily by action advancement, as she regens 3 stacks for herself every turn she takes, making it much less beneficial for E2 Acheron owners to grab Jiaoqiu. You need at least E0S1 to say it is an upgrade over Pela.
Thank you very much for such a detailed answer. I’m sad that it didn’t turn out as great. I was hoping for something adequate on E2, but they pushed it onto E6, which is too expensive.
I will most likely still take his e1+light cone, simply due to the fact that there are no other options.
Is the difference between them greater if the spark is without e2?
Is the difference between E1S1 Jiaoqiu vs. Pela greater if you didn’t had Sparkle’s E2?
The answer is yes. Due to how def shred work, the more def shred you have, the more damage amp for every 1% of def shred will provide. This is what made Pela one of the greatest 4-star DPS supports, and by time and time, she can be the best 4-star option of many units.
I don’t really think there is going to be a limited 5-star nihility DPS support who is noteably better than Pela at E0S0, unless the said unit doesn’t work with Acheron for some reason. Since the presence of such a unit needlessly empowers Acheron even further. She’s already the strongest crit based DPS so far.
