Ok. Niche unit.
1. Jade’s additional damage only happens once for each enemy that was attacked by the ally. Multi-hitting attacks do not cause the additional damage to happen more than once each attack each enemy.
2. Jade’s additional damage is resolved based on Jade’s attack, damage amp, crit rate, and crit damage, and if the damage happens to be the killing blow, Jade regenerates energy from the kill, not the ally unit.
That’s said, Herta is your go for the teammate. Other candidates stack much slower for Jade in comparason.
Jade would be good in PF but Herta is already good in PF, so you may want a limited 5-star Erudition to be able to carry on the other side rather than sticking with Herta.
Jade’s kit isn’t made for MoC or AS, obviously.
I kinda don’t want to break up Himeko/Herta xD But I guess if I do I can have Himeko on one side and Herta with Jade on the other?
Ensure 40k score on one side and 20k on the other and you are good to go.
Hmm, how interesting about the info 2.
If my theory is correct, Jade’s additional damage is a damage which source is Jade herself other than the buffed ally, since it considers Jade’s ATK. Then it is obviously that the damage would get buffed by Jade’s stats (crit, amp, etc…). However, this is quite different with Tingyun. Tingyun’s additional damage is calculated by buffed ally’s ATK, and it has been proved that the damage comes from the buffed ally and get buffed from their stat.
All these lead to the the energy regenerates after killing blow you mentioned. Which means Seele’s Resurgence won’t get triggered if the enemy was killed by the additional damage.
(Not mean to make a party with Seele and Jade, but to find out how the damage system works so we can evaluate character based on the text better.)
The same thing may happened on Robin too since her kit writes “Robin deals Additional Physics Damage … of her ATK”.
The more I look into Jade the more unfortunate she is…
So far it’s incredibly likely her talent doesn’t overstack. So if you have 7/8 points and then use an AOE ultimate, though luck.
The speed not being applied immediately, at the start of turn means a LOT of the 30 speed value is wasted. You cannot just ignore speed on your main DPS
The HP drain is quite significant actually. It makes shielders unviable, and any hopes for a 0 cycle impossible, because you’ll just #ill yourself lmfao. (I’m not kidding, calculate your favourite DPS, I got 90% max health damage as the 0 cycle finnished xD)
You cannot switch the debt collector, nor use your skill again if by chance you need a drop more of energy to ult. The contract is binding
Jade is an erudition unit, which wants multiple enemies on the field in order to ramp up… but by virtue of having some of having high aoe, you can kill said enemies before you properly ramp up…
I don’t understand the speed part. Do you mean that even though she’ll always apply it immediately as the battle starts you still won’t get the benefit of say getting your DPS another breakpoint until like a turn later or something?
The advance means that, while she acts very quickly at the start of the fight, it isn’t immediate. Think of it like running a race, even if you end up at the same speed afterward Jade’s buff, you spent time walking instead of running at the start. This means that you’re not going to make it as far by the end of the race, and that means you would have to try harder to hit the same speed breakpoint as before.
disappointed there’s no stack overflow. Makes for a smoother experience, at the risk of feedback loops.
Based herta buffer. Kinda surprised they didn’t make her completely irrelevant by now.
So best teammate to Blade here, nice.
Another massive Herta buff it seems.
Spinning diamond go brrrr
Just noticed that her talent doesn’t specify a maximum cap like Aventurine.
So… what will happen if Herta spun 5 times then?
From what I understand, it’s one stack for enemies hit, not how many times they are hit. So I think it’s capped at 5 (maximum number of enemies at a time).
Pretty much, otherwise multi-hits like Juan would be insane
Sorry, I should’ve been more clear.
I was referring to the charges for her talent’s follow-up, it costs 8 for one activation but there is no mention of maximum charge she can carry.
In an event where you drop 5 enemies HP below 50%, Herta will spin 5 times, each time hitting 5 targets what will happen then?
I was hoping that it might result in 25 charges for Jade. But maybe the game counts all of Herta spins as one action resulting in 5 charges.
Hopefully someone try that soon.
No matter how many spins Herta does it counts as 1 follow-up attack
Anyone know if the hp consumption from debt collector will count for blades stacks?
If Jingliu is anything to go by, then yes, it should.
Any way of decreasing his HP counts so yeah it should
Im guessing the new follow up sets are her best in slot right?
Planner set? Yep
Cavern Relics ehh. It depends. For Pure Fiction that’s most likely the case. But I wouldn’t discard the Genius set. Especially if going for her Signature Lightcone, the Def Shred is insane, one of the best stats in the game.
It depends tbh.
Relics:
The Genius Set is most likely the best option with or without her signature Lightcone. Although on E1 or E6 the new Wind-Soaring Set will more likely be better due to the amount of FuAs you can easily trigger.
Ornaments:
If you run her with her signature Lightcone then Izumo (if paired with another Erudition DPS) or Salsotto are going to most likely be the best options due to making it insanely easy to get atleast a decent Crit Ratio while maintaining a CDMG Body.
The new Duran Set is only really good if you pair her with other FuA units OR in longer fought battles (e.g. PF or SU Bosses) due to the slow stack build-up.
From the current stand point I definitely intend to E6S1 her and because I don’t own specific FuA units I will most likely not pair her with one, that way the new Ornament Set will be quite useless for me but at least the new Relic Set insanely useful.
Wow. This is worthless!
This character is made for pure fiction and she’s completely useless in any other mode.
What did you expect out of Erudition? 500% main target Dmg every turn?
Every Limited Erudition so far has extra multipliers or something to deal with bosses and elite enemies. Argenti’s Enhanced ultimate is more of a Hunt attack. Jingyuan’s Lightning lord is a Blast Type attack.
We’re still in the first phase of beta, but I’d hope they make either her ultimate have a main target which takes extra damage or the enhanced Follow Ups could get extra def pen against bosses and elites type enemies.
Looks like she’s gonna be the Ratio of PF (great in 1 mode and worthless in the other)
…But with AS coming out Ratio will be good in 2 modes so…
Hoyo can force any unit good in PF or MoC by just giving them the right buffs. For example Ratio and Topass both slap in the current PF because of how often they can proc the accumulated AoE with their FuAs.
Hoyo could just make a MoC or an AS with a buff that makes all “overkill” AoE damage to be applied to the main target instead, and suddenly Erudition gained immense value for that specific MoC or AS. We’ve already had several MoCs with those random trotter spawn that when killed deal damage to other enemies, which benefits Erudition characters the most.
So Jingliu’s E1 applied to erudition units?
At least I expected limited 5* character won’t become a literal zero if amount of targets is less than four. JY and Argenti can do some comparable single target damage.
Also I’m really sad they gave her such beautiful animations and sexy appearance (But I expect her to be a literal bitch, cause she’s a pawnbroker and surely won’t be a good person.)
