From the future here, take note of this!
the best break team will be
Firefly
Ruan Mei
Jiaoqiu
Himeko
Those who have Himeko, start building her for break team now.
himeko with BE set??
Who the F is Jiaoqiu.. ?
5* Fire nihility def shredder/healer hybrid from what’s leaked
and he should be a pink haired male foxian
When it comes down to what Jiaoqiu might look like, Sett from League of Legends somehow comes into my mind. But judging from his abilities involving “flavour”, I think that he might be a chef or a street vendor selling street food; something along those lines.
Guess we’ll have to wait until the drip marketing shows up. I wonder who he’s gonna be voiced by 🤔
Pink hair… cooking…
He’s furry Sukuna
I am smelling something about Jiaoqiu too. First, he is already fire. Next, the new planar is mainly for fire units.
I am suspecting something will be changed. And it will result into a funny wars between Acheron mains and Firefly mains lmao.
Question.
Would the debuff from Aventurine’s signature affect super break damage as well?
Yes.
Muahahaha. Excellent.
wait a second, what’s the difference between Aventurines lc 10% damage thing and Gallagher 12% more break damage? other than the 2%.
is Gallagher even necessary if someone has that lc?
That’s why I asked. A friend doesn’t really want Gallagher as she really loves Aventurine and already invested in him. Since FF’s LC’s vulnerability type debuff affected break damage I wanted to make sure. Even if suboptimal, can’t fault someone for wanting to use a character they love.
Aventurines’s sig LC is 10% (no condition) vulnerability. Gallagher’s talent is 12% (Break Damage only) vulnerability.
Now you can truly go. All or nothing!
if the debuff is a “vulnerability multiplier” then yes, other than that is no
5 duplicate comments may be a record
now I am reminded of that old star wars pod racer game. Which would go. It a new track record!
When you made a new record. which yeah don’t think I seen 5 dup comments before. Seems it is a brand new record for us to experience first hand.
if the debuff is a “vulnerability multiplier” then yes, other than that is no

Yuh
Ngl Aventurine’s LC is one of my favorites, it gives a straight 10% buff to all team DMG just cause why not (if you don’t already have a vuln debuff)
Right? It’s so good.
I just noticed.
You really don’t need to level up basic attack and skill anymore. And to a certain extent, you don’t need to level up the talent anymore.
Great savings lmao
Firefly 🤝 Nilou
“U guys need to upgrade skills?”
I’ll be maxing all her talents regardless lol. Been excited for FF ever since the 2.0 quest and planning and having her the first one all talents maxed for the achievement.
plus, she still benefits somewhat since she has BE scaling and used all her abilities (even if they don’t do much personal DMG)
Is this because now all her damage is superbreak? 😮
Break it down now it hammer time. Firefly in a nutshell.
But I still bad for her leaving those at level. I think i’m still gona 10/10/10 her anyways.
A few hundred dmg still adds to the total
By the way, is it just me or is the “new in 2.3” page commentless for a while now? Was it disabled?
I got that as well. Why did they disable it tho?
Dunno if they did. Maybe it’s bugged cuz when I refresh it I can see the old comments briefly. We’ll see how it goes I suppose.
Yeah same, it appears for a moment after refreshing then disappears, this isn’t the 1st time either
I stopped questioning all the bugs on this site
It seems the admin disabled comment on that page on purpose.
You may find they set `var comments_open = false;` in “new in 2.3” page. And one of the site’s script will runs
“`
(e(“.wp-block-post-comments”).css({
display: “none”
}),
e(“.comment_page_navigator”).css({
display: “none”
}))
“`
once the page loaded to hide the comments.
Well, you can still access to the comments by commenting the `display: none;` css manually.
So I can still post there in this manner, right?
No, we can’t, that’s read-only. The endpoint that accept new comment will reject the request when you create new comment there.
This is a backend limit until the admin re-enabled comment on that page (comment_post_ID: 150175).
Why do they do that? I don’t see anywhere else better to share info about deep future other than the “new in 2.x” page.
Maybe they wanted to stop those kinds of discussions although people can just pick the popular character’s page and talk there
Technical issues maybe, it happened before for me but came back
say So how does that e2 work? Does it have a one turn cooldown. Or can you trigger it every single turn? Like turn one, can trigger the bonus action. Turn two, it on cool down. Have to wait until turn three to trigger the bonus action again.
Turn 1:
Enhanced kill -> E2 triggers -> enhanced skill.
Gains a cooldown timer that lasts 1 turn. It does not tick down the turn it is applied.
Turn 2:
Enhanced skill.
The E2 does not trigger due to the presence of the cooldown timer.
The cooldown timer ticks down by 1 and expires.
Turn 3:
Enhanced skill -> E2 triggers -> enhanced skill.
Gains a cooldown timer that lasts 1 turn. It does not tick down the turn it is applied.
Ah thanks for the info. Yeah was kind of unsure. Figure that was how it worked. Yet wanted to be sure. For something about the wording just made me question it a bit. Yeah that seems like it might be fun to mess around with or pick up on a future rerun. Thanks again and have a rest of your week.
Genuine question, is it really necessary to level her skill? the ult is a must, but from the looks of it, leveling the skill doesnt add towards her super break…
No, her scaled DMG is almost non-existent so it’s a waste of resources
So basically it only for people like me, who don’t care about the resource waste and just like having everything be a nice even number.
Yeah pretty much, no one can stop you if you want to
Could we focus on some more simple issues, like what makes the best relic stats for FF?
Sets:
4pc Iron Canalry, 2Pc kalpagni
Main Stats :
Body: Atk%
Feet: Spd
Orb: Atk%
Rope: Break Effect
Sub Stats:
Spd (up to 4th turn breakpoint) > Break effect > Atk% > Flat atk
Check https://starrail.honeyhunterworld.com/firefly-character/comment-page-16/?lang=EN#comment-47644 for details.
4 * Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge
2 * Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern
Main: ATK% SPD ATK% BE%
Sub: BE% > ATK% > (HP% ~= DEF% ~= RES%) (SPD?)
SPD sub-stats is nearly useless unless you want more turn. Check discussions in https://starrail.honeyhunterworld.com/firefly-character/comment-page-17/?lang=EN#comment-47747
What’s the general opinion on Magical Girl green SAM compared to boss SAM?
I’ve seen a few express their dislike for it, what about others
My only gripe with it is the frequent Firefly cut ins. I actually really like the glowing butterfly thing. Very cool. But it’s ruined by nude firefly with every skill. Now it’s even worse cuz there’s like a mini hud thing with her but from a mecha standpoint I gotta give it to them it’s very fitting.
Me thinks they were trying to do a gundam/mecha thing. Where they show the pilot in the suit or cut away to it. Of course in the case of gundam. You only see this nude type of thing, when it has something to do with new types. Which tends to be very spiritual in that case. To show ah yes we have gone beyond physical limits. Not rule 34 time.
I don’t mind the cut ins, the nudity it makes 0 difference to me whether she’s nude or wearing a suit like Eva or smth. since the shots are (supposed to be) focused on her face
The recent animation update really turned down the cut-ins. The enhanced skill just shows her head now, and it flows and looks much better than before IMO. I feel like the live cam on the side could use some improvements, but overall I like the changes they made.
On the green SAM, I like it overall but I’m still waiting on some sort of lore reasoning as to why it exists. Dazz has some good guesses as to the overall theme, but we still haven’t seen her use it in game at any point, which makes me think she may not have it at this point in time. Either that or she’s had no reason to use her “full strength.”
I’m more interested in whether the developers will justify changing the color scheme through the story?
If you watch White Night its been planned plenty ahead, so I’m sure there’s some reason
Yeah. It looks like FF activated super saiyan green while fighting a Acheron who drew her sword. But it seems like its not gonna happen since they are friends now and Acheron’s arc seems closed.
Alot of stuff in the White Night video makes alot more sense now, after seeing the main story.
I like it. The green SAM is very cool in my perspective.
The boss SAM represents the original purpose that she was made: a merciless flame throwing killing machine that she doesn’t identify herself to be. The greem SAM represents the resolution of Firefly herself, she denies her destiny of just a weapon and struggles to be herself, no matter how briefingly it was.
The naked pilot cut in is a common sight in Gundam series. Not only girls, but men, appear naked floating and talking in the space. This visual element represents telepathy between the transcended. Here, it serves to remind you that this unit represents Firefly and the hud made it feels like she is fighting with you side-by-side and staying in contact with you. Otherwise, you can only see the girl out of battle. Try imagine Jing Yuan / Clara would never appear during battle but instead Lightning Lord / Svarog takes his / her place.
I’m not saying the boss SAM is uncool. The boss SAM is very cool, too. I understand those who enjoy a mighty robot who fights with fire, punches, and kicks, more than a cute and valiant girl, are dissapointed by the fact that the boss SAM is just a persona of the said girl. However I enjoy both, if SAM and Firefly were two different characters I would have pulled for them both.
I would have as well, but alas. Maybe Screwellum is the only true robot in our destiny and I’ll take what I can get.
I for one welcome our new robotic overlords.
I would love if Svarog and LL took their place actually 😛
Svarog yes, LL no imo
Jing Yuan is an active combatant who commands LL, also idk whether LL is even sentient so in his case I think it works
If lightning lord replace Jing Yuan. We wouldn’t be able to hear the greatest line in the game. It time for the master stroke.
I thought it might be connected to her desire to live/die as Firefly rather than as Sam
it’s not magical girl if you have watched a few gundam series though . It’s a homage to those , gundam unicorn , 00/qant , etc
Magical Girl is just what I like to say because of her transformation, I know she’s not one
Well magical girl does seem fitting. Given they do under go a transformation or at least is frame that way. Which seems more like they are armoring up. Like say a power ranger. Unlike gundam, where they just enter a suit. I would say yeah calling the transformation magical girl fits. Given while it might be paying homeage to gundam/mecha series. It animation more like a transformation like a magical girl. Over someone entering a suit of armor.
To me all that green instead of a fiery inferno is a dealbreaker.
I will pass on Firefly because I wanted her to be SAM, and HoYo is pushing Firefly way too much even in her armored form.
I also hate HP sacrifice related character mechanics.
Firefly’s regular rotation takes place within this amount of AV:
10000 / 70 ≈ 142.86 AV
If we are about to allow her a 5th enhanced skill during her uptime we might want the help of Asta and S5 DDD.
————————
If Asta’s ultimate (lv.12) was cast right after Firefly uses her first enhanced skill and S5 DDD included:
(10000 / (210.64 + 52.8)) * 2.76 + (10000 / 210.64) ≈ 152.2 AV
Nah, not enough to do another enhanced skill.
If we give Firefly more speed:
(10000 / (210.64 + X + 52.8)) * 2.76 + (10000 / (210.64 + X)) ≤ 10000 / 70
X ≥ 16.06…
That means, with 16.1 or more speed from substats, cast Asta’s ultimate (lv.12) and trigger the S5 DDD is enough to allow Firefly an extra enhanced skill during her uptime.
————————
Conclusion:
• Cast Asta’s ultimate (lv.12) with S5 DDD right after Firefly’s first enhanced skill after her ultimate and Firefly to have 16.1 or more extra speed from substats and she is able to do the 5th enhanced skill during her uptime. This is ~7 rolls on speed.
Sorry for my mistake, Asta’s ultimate only lasts 2 turns, which means the calculations here are completely wrong.
Asta’s ultimate (lv.12) + S5 DDD:
(10000 / (210.64 + 52.8)) * 1.76 + (10000 / 210.64) * 2 ≈ 161.7 AV
If we give Firefly more speed:
(10000 / (210.64 + X + 52.8)) * 1.76 + (10000 / (210.64 + X)) * 2 ≤ 10000 / 70
X ≥ 30.42….
This outcome can be viewed as 30.5 speed from substats required. This is ~13.3 rolls on speed.
————————
Asta’s ultimate (lv.12) + S5 DDD * 2:
(10000 / (210.64 + 52.8)) * 1.52 + (10000 / 210.64) * 2 ≈ 152.6 AV
If we give Firefly more speed:
(10000 / (210.64 + X + 52.8)) * 1.52 + (10000 / (210.64 + X)) * 2 ≤ 10000 / 70
X ≥ 15.62….
This outcome can be viewed as 15.7 speed from substats required. This is ~7 rolls on speed.
————————
Asta’s ultimate (lv.12) + messenger set 4pc + S5 DDD:
(10000 / (210.64 + 12.48 + 52.8)) * 0.76 + (10000 / (210.64 + 52.8)) + (10000 / 210.64) * 2 ≈ 160.4 AV
If we give Firefly more speed:
(10000 / (210.64 + X + 12.48 + 52.8)) * 0.76 + (10000 / (210.64 + X + 52.8)) + (10000 / (210.64 + X)) * 2 ≤ 10000 / 70
X ≥ 28.49….
This outcome can be viewed as 28.5 speed from substats required. This is ~12.4 rolls on speed.
————————
Asta’s ultimate (lv.12) + messenger set 4pc + S5 DDD * 2:
(10000 / (210.64 + 12.48 + 52.8)) * 0.52 + (10000 / (210.64 + 52.8)) + (10000 / 210.64) * 2 ≈ 151.75 AV
If we give Firefly more speed:
(10000 / (210.64 + X + 12.48 + 52.8)) * 0.52 + (10000 / (210.64 + X + 52.8)) + (10000 / (210.64 + X)) * 2 ≤ 10000 / 70
X ≥ 14.26….
This outcome can be viewed as 14.3 speed from substats required. This is ~6.2 rolls on speed.
The 30.5 speed from substats looks feasible. I’m going to try it out.
Amazing calculus. 30.5 SPD (~=13.3 roll) seems considerable.
But I have to say if you have extra copy of S5 DDD, activate it in the slower turn would make it a bit better.
For messenger 4pc it would be only 10.11 SPD (from 14.3). Without messenger would be 12.15 SPD (from 15.62).
If Ruan Mei is using messenger set with that extra copy of S5 DDD.
The least SPD requirements would be 6.93 SPD ?
((10000)/(210.64+12.48+x+52.8))*0.76+((10000)/(210.64+x+52.8))+((10000)/(210.64+12.48+x))*0.76+((10000)/(210.64+x)) ≤ 10000 / 70
x ≥ 6.93…
Maybe we can equip HTB with the 3rd S5 DDD. It’s so crazy but… why not?
Then we got:
((10000)/(210.64+12.48+x+52.8))*0.76+((10000)/(210.64+x+52.8))+((10000)/(210.64+12.48+x))*0.76+((10000)/(210.64+x))*0.76 ≤ 10000 / 70
x ≥ -12.05…
I hate DDD. 😡
For those like me who are poor, run 4-pc messenger on your Asta and add 1.2 speed to Dazz’s numbers per superimposition of Dance Dance Dance you are missing. So if you have S2, add 3×1.2=3.6 to 28.5 to get 32.1!
I cross-checked and it does roughly line up (I used the full decimal value of Spd boots though).
Asta DDD might be fine but RM and HTB would prefer other LCs so I didn’t bother checking for double DDD. I don’t think using Messenger on them is worth it either. I don’t think RM was made to provide a very specific AV boost through a deliberately-timed use of her Ult + Messenger + DDD. Is it just me?
I honestly think the problem here is SP so unless you have FF E1, don’t even bother.
We haven’t even gone on about any potential sync/desync issues from such a meticulous way of playing.
Let’s all just be satisfied with 210 Spd (bare minimum) or 225 Spd (allows a 3rd Enh.Skill during 0C).
I know this may come off as a bit unprofessional, but nonetheless, it needs to be said.
I desperately want Firefly to sit on my face while she’s wearing those adorable panties. That is all.
