n/a | A candid and self-assured Intelligentsia Guild member, who often conceals his appearance with a strange plaster sculpture. He demonstrated unparalleled intelligence and talent since his youth, but now refers to himself as a "Mundanite." Firmly believing that intellect and creativity are not confined to geniuses, he seeks to distribute knowledge to the entire universe to cure the persistent disease named ignorance. |
n/a | Veritas Ratio, who calls himself "Dr. Ratio," is as contentious as his research. In Ratio's homeworld, there are no less than eight documentaries detailing his legendary exploits, and over a dozen memoirs about him. However, despite the plethora of commentaries, none of them seems to provide a compelling perspective. To fill this void, I personally visited Professor Rond, who had a significant influence on Ratio's upbringing. Though advanced in years and unable to speak coherently, Professor Rond couldn't contain his excitement at the mention of Ratio's name. With the help of his family and students, I obtained a yellowed yet remarkably well-preserved letter of recommendation. "To the respected admission committee of the University of Veritas Prime: I am Rond, Professor Emeritus of the Department of Mathematics at the Cosmos Liberty University. Given your institution's reputation for valuing talents and education, I would like to recommend a student named Ratio to advance his studies at your university. Although Ratio is a secondary school student at the moment, his mastery of math, physics, and even philosophy has far exceeded the requirements for an undergraduate degree in many universities. While he was under my tutelage, Ratio managed to solve complicated mathematical equations at an unexpectedly staggering speed. The undergraduates in my class struggled to even comprehend the concepts. Out of curiosity, I shared a manuscript about an equation named Rond's Conjecture in private. Although I'm the one who proposed the equation, I've been unable to prove it. After days of discussion, Ratio came up with a brilliant and stunning idea that managed to finally prove the equation in one strike. The paper will be published shortly, and you will see that I am speaking the truth. Ratio showed remarkable perception, curiosity, and creativity during the time we spent together. He wakes up early every morning to exercise before diving straight into the sea of knowledge afterward. Perhaps, he is exactly what everyone would picture a genius to be — passionate, profound, fervent, and inherently dominating. Due to the lack of more advanced science programs at local schools, I sincerely hope that your esteemed institution will accept Ratio's enrollment. I can vouch for him on my reputation that he will definitely achieve accomplishments that transcend this era and bring glory to your widely-renowned institution. Best wishes, Rond ██ ██ ██, Philosopher Calendar" Extracted from page 9, Wisdom as a Privilege: Decoding Dr. Ratio |
n/a | After acquiring his eighth doctoral degree, Ratio was awarded the First Class Honors Degree that had been left vacant for two Amber Eras in the University of Veritas Prime. Even many years later, this achievement remained unparalleled in the history of the university and was likely to remain unmatched for generations to come. At that time, Ratio was already a prominent figure in society, but there were varying opinions about him among his teachers and peers. This is the electronic copy of some valuable information I gathered: " Campus Highlights: 1. #First Class Honors Degree Awarded to Veritas Ratio# Views ( Details: The First Class Honors Degree of our university that has been vacant for two Amber Eras will soon be awarded to Veritas Ratio in recognition of his outstanding achievements in the fields of biology, medicine, natural theology, philosophy, mathematics, physics, engineering, etc. Given his remarkable contribution to the subject of energy sources on this planet, Veritas Ratio will be granted direct eligibility for teaching. Professor Velita, Department of Mathematics: Congratulations to Ratio! He deserves all the glory for his diligence and intelligence! Do you still remember how he put on a headgear to keep away all external distractions and completely focus on thinking? Who else in the world could manage that? Although Ratio was my student for some time, I'm afraid I actually learned more from him than what I taught him. Ratio was a breath of fresh air at the University of Veritas Prime with his honesty and straightforwardness. We should all be grateful to him! Agree ( Philosophy_Delinquent: Shouldn't he be a member of the Genius Society already? Agree ( Physics_Is_Beautiful: Rumor has it that some congressman's son attended a class where Ratio was the TA. The guy tossed some cash on Ratio, trying to bribe him for a pass. Ratio came down hard on the guy and threw him out of the classroom. That's right — he literally THREW him... What a god among men. Agree ( BearMarket_Loser I once went to a class where he was the TA and couldn't wrap my head around what he was saying. I held on to the end and scored 0. I count myself lucky that my score wasn't negative... Agree ( Cosmos_Walker Give me a like if you've ever cried because of his scolding! Agree ( BoredomKillledTheCat Is it true that he showers with his headgear on? Agree ( Follow-My-Lead He's not that great, is he? I can do the same if I just work harder... Agree (1), Disagree ( ... n/a | It is widely speculated that Ratio aspires to join the Genius Society, though he has never spoken about the subject. No matter how amazing Ratio's accomplishments are in the eyes of the ordinary folks, Nous has never batted an eye at him. This issue has become a much-discussed mystery in the academic community over time. I reached out to Margaret, a former assistant of Ratio, and gathered some valuable testimony from her. "Mr. Ratio has never talked about the Genius Society with me, but there's something I remember well, even till today... It happened when I was still Mr. Ratio's academic assistant. I'm mainly responsible for managing his correspondences to and from all over the cosmos and handling his interactions with the outside world." "One day, I received a letter from Interastral Peace Corporation. I think... it was during the successful test-firing of the anti-planetary weapon Mr. Ratio had worked on for years. I could tell the solemnity of the invitation, so I excitedly passed it on to Mr. Ratio. Yet, he said nothing. I could sense his heavy silence even through the headgear. He then politely asked me to leave. The moment I closed the door, I heard a grim sigh followed by a self-deprecating laughter... Perhaps, he realized he would never be accepted into the Genius Society..." "The rest is history. In my view, Mr. Ratio is a genius in the truest sense of the word, as his inventions have propelled many worlds forward. Is a scholar who heals the universe destined to be worth less than a genius who is confined to their own ivory tower? Sorry, I'm getting a little worked up. Please remove that statement." From my observation, many of Dr. Ratio's supporters feel sorry for him like Margaret. In their opinion, the Society's failure to admit someone like Ratio is a manifestation of the eccentricity and narrow-mindedness of "geniuses." Extracted from page |
n/a | Many believe that after joining the Intelligentsia Guild, Ratio will learn to smooth out his sharp personality to adapt to the Guild's practical and simplistic academic environment. But I must say Ratio is still his old self. Below is the original excerpt from the internal records that I have transcribed: " Respondent: Veritas Ratio Subject: Logical Epistemology Chairman of the Committee: Roseth Transcriber: Morriway Defense Transcript: Roseth: Mr. Ratio, your paper is exceptional. Thank you for your presentation. Now, we will open the floor for questions. There was a silence. Roseth: Well, I'll do the honor then. Roseth: I fully concur with your main ideas, but there's a detail that I find slightly confusing. Veritas Ratio: Whenever someone agrees with me, I feel like I must be wrong. Roseth: My question is, why do you think knowledge is a privilege? Veritas Ratio: Dear Professor Roseth, your question indicates that you haven't fully grasped the content of my paper and do not understand the deductive methods I employed. Veritas Ratio: To put it simply, you would be a great example. Your inability to comprehend my ideas shows precisely that knowledge is not for everyone. Veritas Ratio: If ignorance is an ailment, it is the duty of scholars to weed it out and heal the universe. Veritas Ratio walked to the podium, facing the crowd. Veritas Ratio: So, ladies and gentlemen, turning a blind eye to the folly of others is not an etiquette, but a wicked worldly practice. To spread knowledge, we must first make people realize their folly. The same surely applies to the scholars of the Guild. Roseth shrugged and smiled bitterly. ... Veritas Ratio left amid the commotion. Remark: A passionate hand holding an icy sword — that is probably the best way to describe Mr. Veritas Ratio. By blending logic, passion, and the art of criticism into one, Ratio presents to us how a great thinker perceives and reacts to ignorance. We strongly believe that the addition of Mr. Veritas Ratio will bring immeasurable benefits to the Intelligentsia Guild. Committee Decision: Approved unanimously. " There are words about a mysterious organization within the Intelligentsia Guild called the "Council of Mundanites" that houses the brightest minds of the Guild. The fact that Ratio calls himself a Mundanite seems to affirm the rumor. It is hard not to read something into the organization's name, given Ratio's entangled history with the Genius Society. The mundane, as opposed to the ingenious, often has to make enormous efforts and sacrifices just to catch up with the latter. Is Ratio calling himself mundane a form of submission, mockery, or declaration of war? Anyway, he does live up to his name of Dr. Ratio with his dedication to curing ill minds with knowledge. ... Correct me if I’m wrong but his kits really look like a reverse Clara’s. FUA triggered when your team hits the enemy’s instead of them hit yours, someway to consistently trigger FUA (skill vs getting hit), and ult enables a universal FUA (your team hits or your team gets hit).
Is E0S1 Topaz good enough with him? I wanna try making a team consisting of Dr. Ratio/Topaz/SW/Fu Xuan(or Lynx), but I’m not sure if her debuffs are enough. IIRC Dr. Ratio has a 40% fixed chance of sending his FUA right? So does that mean that 2 debuffs from Topaz + 1 debuff from Dr. Ratio himself will be enough for 100% chance? Because I truly wanna pair him with Topaz so I can justify actually pulled for her.
She is actually enough alone at e1s1. You don’t even need anyone else to get all the buffs (if her debtor status counts as debuffs). On the other hand, SW provides 5 different debuffs (6 if you use the resolution LC) so you can use dr ratio with anyone you want as long as you have sw. reaching the %100 FUA is important but the optimal way to play him would be getting 5 debuffs on enemy to increase his damage 50%.
Question is SW a must for Dr. Ratio or should I just try to go for a guarantee to get Ruan Mei. Thx!
Get Ruan Mei. SW isnt needed.
Ruan Mei ult comes with a debuff too…when ur allies attack enemies, they infliict them with Thanatos rebloom which is a debuff. Ratio/Topaz/RUan MEI and a sustain char
I would say absolutely, especially since proof of debt is a flat 1.5 damage multiplier for his fua, also SW alone is enough debuffs to maximize his chances. just Topaz and ratios debufs would be a 70% chance for his fua. Adding SW and her 5 different debuffs is easily the best way to guarantee his fua.
i am so exited for FREE DR RATIO.
hopefully i able to win 75/25 on his weapon.
Does the Wisemans Folly from his burst count as a debuff that counts for his follow-up chance increase?
From what I’ve seen in leak videos, no.
It’s treated more as a mark, really.
It doesn’t truly debuff or hinder the enemy in the first place, so it makes sense.
how about proof of debt and his A4 – Inference?
it doesnt really matter for the follow up chance increase because wiseman’s folly make it 100% for everyone
maybe? i mean it makes his FUA 100% and allows his FUA to be triggered by anyone but we don’t know for sure yet because topaz’s debt collector is a debuff so perhaps, well just have to wait and see
Now that I don’t have to save jades for him anymore should I go for A) Ruan Mei B) E1 Ratio or C) Ratios light cone
Ruan Mei is probably the better option overall for your account, plus you’ll probably get some good 4*s
If you just want a better Ratio I’d say LC since his banner 4*s are bad
But pull what you want
e1 ratio is a massive 25/50 crit rate/critdmg boost
ruan mei has massive dmg bonus buffs, break buffs, respen and spd
ratios LC gives def ignore great dmg bonus and essentially buff him
in my opinion, ruan mei if u don’t have a strong buffer like bronya or if u specifically want break buffs
e1 ratio allows seele to have a break in MOC
LC because synergy with pela and SW thx to def ignore and def red having good returns at a breakpoint
Fate changed from being the rarest owned 5-star, to the most commonly owned 5-star.
After hearing that he will be a free limited 5 star Character in 1.6 Special Program Livestream is shocking me & I’m so excited to build him
My build would be Ratio, Sampo, Pela, Huo Huo (no Guinaifen) running him with Cruising in the Stellar Sea S2, 2 pc musk or 2 pc wastelander plus 2 pc ashblazing and Inert Salsotto. Any tips or improvements I could make? f2p
1 – I don’t know if you mean that you don’t have Guinaifen or that you aren’t using her. If you don’t have her, then it will be good to inmidiatly replace Sampo for her, since her debuffs help more than Sampo’s to Dr. Ratio’s DMG.
2 – I am not an expert in relics but Wastelander + Ashblazing should be good, Inert Salsotto is his best set if I am not mistaken.
3 – Welt also should work great, specially with Luka LC. Pela can be running BTTMS, since it’ll help with energy and it’s just a good LC overall.
4 – I am unsure if his Follow-Up chance increase is worth it to a degree, since you already have Pela it’ll be a 50% chance of tigering it, assuming full uptime on her burst, and you can have +10% if you run her with the afformentioned Luka LC. Maybe replacing Sampo for someone like Yukong could be better because of how much DMG bonus she provides + some extra Break Gauge if you are fighting Imaginary weak enemies.
5 – About his LC – He really dosn’t have that many options, CTSS is just the Baseline, so I recomend refining it, unless you decide to pull for his LC. ( If you don’t already know, we are getting Dr. Ratio for free, so if you have Stellar Jades saved up for him I fully recomend going to his LC before constellations. )
Please take my advice with a grain of salt, all of these are mostly guesses based on my current understanding of his kit.
Sorry that was unclear I don’t have Guinaifen, I forgot to mention I have Topaz! Ill probably pull for his LC but I always plan for the worst so if I don’t get it Ill use Stellar Sea. Thanks for the advice!!
I think Topaz and him CAN work but its still being deliberated as a topic of discussion.
Topaz and Ratio seem really good together, especially with E1/S1 Topaz
that 50% FuA dmg taken is still huge
What is BTTMS? I assume it’s an artifact set? Also, my CTSS is low superimposition cause I was at I think 73 pity on standard and used my Herta bonds for star rail passes, got Himeko 🙁
Sorry, just saw that you said BTTMS is an lc
Just checked, I don’t have BTTMS, is that a gacha light cone, or was it a limited event? I started playing around the very end of Luocha’s banner
Before The tutorial Mission starts it was given as a free LC during patch 1.1 but I think you can no longer obtain it ;(
Just checked, I don’t have BTTMS, is that a gacha light cone, or was it a limited event? I started playing around the very end of Luocha’s banner.
SW event light cone, i think it ended right before luocha’s banner started
Also I have Bronya if she works with him
You’re late, in that case the BTTMS LC couldn’t be obtain anymore for the time being.
Guinaifen is really great too, hope you get her soon. most of suggestion by Mimimimi are really nice, but i would like to add something too, you should aim to runs him in debuff happy team, Huohuo, Pela/Welt Topaz Ration should be one of his ideal team, however if you can afford to exchange Pela to Bronya without having second team suffering man power lose, that’s even better. provide Huohuo and Ratio having sufficient effect hit rate to maintain 3 minimum debuffs or fine with rng.
I think I’ll try that team, with Pela cause I don’t have Welt, what’s a good base effect hit rate for Pela? I don’t usually use her. Thanks!
You can make them work but their skill poit comsumtion will be too high.
I have calculated the best Possible Relic Set for him. Its 2pc Ashblazing + 2pc Prisoner (Or Wild Wheat doesnt matter) with the 2pc Firmament Frontline Glammoth Planar Set. This is only good if you can get him to 135 Speed with Speed tuning but it is the best possible Relic Combo for him. Good Luck
2pc on the DoT set?
Sorry! I though it was a 15% DoT bonus
I’ve read his kit a million times and still don’t understand, can someone explain it to me like I’m a 4 year old
I might just be dumb but I cant find his ultimate energy cost, what is it?
Pretty much it’s like this.
Normal = Bad never use it.
Skill = Skill Damage + One Follow up Attack.
Ult = Ult Damage + Two Follow up Attacks that get procced when other allies attack.
Talent explains how much the follow up Attack does.
His normal stats are on page 1. 140 energy cost.
Ult cost is the far right column of stats, the one without a heading. Ratio’s is 140.
its 140
Also his kit works like this:
When using his skill, he triggers his talent. His talent has a 40% chance to trigger a follow up attack. For every debuff the enemy has, the chance increases by 20%(so 3 debuffs for 100%)
When using his ult, it marks the enemy. When they get attacked by an ally, it triggers his talents follow up attack. This can happen up to 2 times, and using his ult resets the count.
Then he also has some traces: one gives 10% more damage per debuff(up to 50%, so 5 debuffs) when using his skill.
then theres also a talent that gives him a stack of “summation” per debuff when using his skill. I dont know how long this lasts, but its either the whole round or just for this one skill. Every stack of summation gives 2.5% crit rate and 5% crit damage, up to 6 stacks, so 15% crit rate and 30% crit damage.
the last one reduces the effect res of the enemy for 2 turns when using his skill, so this is just a free debuff
energy cost should be 140
140 energy for his ult.
Basically: Debuff a boss with 5~6 debuffs total of any kind to maximize his kit and then let him skill spam to trigger his super follow-up. Ult= 2 free triggers of said follow-up plus initial dmg.
Possible Partners with debuffs: Hanya(if burden counts as debuff), Pela(1~2 debuffs), Sampo(2 debuffs), Luka(2 debuffs), Topaz(1~2 follow-up focused debuffs), Kafka(1~2 debuffs), Guinafen(2~3 debuffs), Welt(2 debuffs), Dan Heng(1 debuff), Silver Wolf(like 4+ debuffs?), Asta(1 debuff), Serval(1 debuff, Hook(1 debuff), Himiko(low burn chance tho), March 7th/Gepard(if freeze counts for Ratio’s kit, or they’re equipped with the “burn enemy when hit” preservation lc), HuoHuo(via her technique and only for 2 turns at the start of battle…) Fire MC(If taunt counts as a debuff or if they have that one preservation lc that burns)
He does max damage when the target enemy has 6 debuffs. With those debuffs he can:
-gain Crit Rate AND Crit Damage on his skill. (Skill Trace: Summation)
-increase the chance of a follow-up attack AFTER using skill. (Talent)
-increase his overall damage (Talent Trace: Deduction)
He also reduces the Effect Res of a target hit by his skill (Trace: Inference)
His ult cost is 140. His ult also allows him to do 2 extra follow-up attacks when ALLIES attack the target he ulted.
His Ult cost 140. As for what the rest of the kit does…
His focus is on his powerful followup attack. His skill has a chance to activate it, his ultimate activates it two times. Everything about him becomes better the more debuffs the target has. Treat him like an ordinary dps character, but build a team that can put at least three debuffs on the enemy.
it’s on the Stats section, most right. it’s 140.
rightmost column of the stats table, it’s 140
when you SKILL there is 40% chance to follow-up attack, apply 3 debuffs to that enemy for a 100% chance.
ULT gives 2 follow-ups when allies attack.
his kit has one debuff and he does more damage the more debuffs the enemy has.
single target damage dealer
let me just tell you how to play him , you must have debuffer in team like pela ,
his basic atk is just uhh , his skill increases his crit rate and DMG when you atk enemy who have debuff ( like reduce def or spd , or dot ) and also when using skill there is 40% chance to launch Follow up atk ( think as clara’s atk ) if enemy have debuff then change to trigger follow up atk increases by 20 for every debuff enemy have .
his burst is just straight forward atk but his mark that enemy after using his ult whenever you atk that enemy after his ult he will launch Follow up atk .
that’s all
here are some team suggestions
Dr ratio , pela , yukong , loucha
Dr ratio , sampo / pela / little gui , tingyun , natasha / lynx ( F2P )
Why did my post not go through… I will say it again.
Ratio
Normal = Useless
Skill = Skill Damage + Follow Up Damage.
Ult = Ult damage + 2x Follow Up Damage but it gets procced from allies.
That’s all there is too it.
when he uses skill , he has 40% chance to do a follow up attack, and this will be a guaranteed follow up attack once you have at least 3 debuffs on the enemy , that means he needs to play with a debuffer (sw is his best support , but he can play with pela, welt…) , and also he gain more dmg the more debuffs the enemy has
his ultimate does damage , and apply a mark on the enemy , whenever an ally attacks that enemy , Dr.Ratio will perform a follow up attack , up to 2 times
he’s pretty simple to play and an amazing dps (arguably the strongest ) in single target , just make sure to play him with a debuffer
It’s pretty simple really. His normal much like others doesn’t really do anything so you want to avoid it with a DPS like Dr Ratio. His skill deals damage and as long as the enemy has at least 3 debuffs at the time you use the skill, a follow up attack from his talent will go off at the same time allowing for much greater damage. 150% + 270% = 420% skill. His ult does damage and then applies a debuff which activates when allies attack the same target. When this target is hit, he will then get his follow up attack off for a grand total of 2 times. At the end of the day, you could say his ult simply hits 2 follow up attacks as you’re never going to really fail to get both off. As a result his ultimate may as well hit for 780%. Both his skill and his ultimate hit for very good numbers overall.
TL;DR. His Skill hits for 420, Hit Ult hits for 780%. he uses follow up damage to do most of his damage.
Thanks everyone! Did they change his kit? I feel like there used to be more buffs he could give himself but I might be misremembering
According the amount the ultimate during the livestream. It should be around 130 or 140 because we all know that The Hunt characters have around 130 to 140 energy cost.
If you get Dr to E6, then he can do 2132.2% skill damage per turn.
Skill 30 energy + Ult 5 Energy + Follow Up x4 80 energy x1.94 ER piece = 137 energy. Meaning you only need to get hit once in the full turn before he can go again.
i want correction your energy regen points, his energy regen each follow up attack is 5 not 20, because u said his follow up energy regen x4 is 80 (80:4=20).
so if he E6 his energy regen in 1 turn will be: Skill 30 energy + Ult 5 energy + Follow Up (5×4{1 from skill & 3 from talent}) 20 energy x 1.94 ER piece = 106.7 energy not 137 energy
E4 should’ve give 15 energy each triggering of talent, should already be correct.
His E4 changes his energy gain per follow up to 20. 5 + 15.
This is actually ridiculous and I was one of the people who was going to skip his banner and now, I think of I should e6 him. Him and topaz will be an insane team.
