  1. Basically, Anaxa will lose his cyrene buff during Cerydra buff at his 3rd and 4th shot… Another classic ANAXAGORAS nerf MIHOYO…

in fact for Amphoreus team E0S0 Cyrene’s almost to even better than E1S0 Tribbie based on CN community testing.

  4. Mydei’s buff kinda baffles me ngl
cuz in normal circumstances (using techniques before entering battle) he’d get 50 charge. taking the first turn/taking enough DMG will give him the rest of the 50 charge needed for Vandetta. so what’s the point of cc cleanse…?
in this team (Hyacine Mydei Tribbie Cyrene) how much spd does Mydei need?
is it easier to time Cerydra and Mydei gbg with Cyrene?
and yes y’all I like Mydei way too much I can’t fucking help it😭

    • But imagine you build slow Mydei that hits like a truck
And he gets CC’d right off the bat
And you somehow manage to get Cerydra’s ult up before he’s taken a turn
And you don’t just hold it to get the Godslayer anyway…

Honestly, it’s probably for doing weekly bosses or something where you probably aren’t starting with technique, but it’s still pretty unlikely.

For Chrisos heir, it really depends on the unit, but for Castorice, Tribbie is equal. For Phainon, Cyrene is better, only because Tribbie cannot generate stacks for Phainon.

  5. Even after V3…
Cyrene is still too slow to get her Stacks to 24.

I still belive that she is not a good enough investment right before 4.0
Buffing old 3.x Characters on the brink of 4.x is totally dumb and flawed design.
It would only work if Power Creep would not be a thing in HSR, but it is.
HSR has really high Power Creep.
HoYo is not listening to the players.

Honestly I kinda hope Cyrene sales flops hard, so all the extra effort and time and money HoYo spent on Cyrene will be wasted, and maybe then HoYo learns to stop releasing intentionally flawed characters with E1 and E2 fixes to those intentional problems.

Only when their sales get affected will HoYo stop doing that shit.

    • I don’t understand this complaint.

Does 4.0 come out and suddenly every single other unit is invalidated? Did that happen in 3.0? No.
Therta came out, yea she was super powerful and everything was pushed towards her. And then you went to the other side of the content.
Did Aglaea invalidate everyone before her? No. Hell, I just Acheron or pre-buff Kafka and got through everything fine.
Did Mydei come out and invalidate everyone before him? No.
Did Tribbie come out and invalidate everyone before them? No. Tribbie’s super powerful, but despite being 3 girls, she’s only one unit. Stick her next to Robin, stick her next to Sunday, and you’re good.
It’s not until Castorice that we a real bump, and most of that is simply because Cas/Tribbie/RMC is a complete and pretty optimized team.

Here’s the usage statistics overtime for MoC. Teams that don’t really cut it tend to fall off in usage hard.
Castorice (premium team), Phainon (premium team), Kafka (premium team), Therta (premium team), Acheron (premium team), Feixiao (premium team), Saber, Firefly (premium team), Archer, Aglaea, Mydei, [main dps] Anaxa
      Here’s AS:
Cas, Phainon, Kafka, Firefly, Therta, Archer, Anaxa/Saber/Fexiao, Acheron, the rest

We’re like a patch away from 4.0, and hopefully you notice a trend. Full complete teams establish relevancy. It’s easiest to look at who’s underperforming:
      >Mydei/Buffed JL
Tribbie/Sunday are good generic options, but no summon for extra sunday buffs, and Tribbie has some anti-synergy due to no AOE. S1 Hyacine’s good for JL, but Mydei has just Luocha/Gallagher, who heal him well, but that’s it.
      >Aglaea
She’s got a functional team, and Sunday’s a good teammate, but Robin/Tribbie are moreso generic options
      >Anaxa
Main DPS usage is low because he’s just better with Therta (because he lacks his own team to stand on it’s own).
      >Archer
Imagine if he had a support that could split up some of his damage when he needs it.
      >Saber
Really powerful, but her best options are just whatever generic teams

      • -> Anaxa is just better with Therta
Wrong, Therta needs Anaxa more than Anaxa needs her. Anaxa has Sunday,Cery,DHPT, If that not his own team then I dont know what it is. His usage only low mostly due to his animation is trash so less people pulling him.
If anything Therta is one of worst 3.x unit because the amount of AOE shilling she had for months, only now her weakness are finally showing. Anaxa already good on his own and will gets better and better while THerta will gets worse and worse
Here what’s Anaxa good at: MoC, AS, bad in PF is a myth since he can easily break enemies so just pair him with Himeko and the problem is solved.
Here what’s Therta good at: Literally Nothing. Even in recent PF where she supposed to be best at, failed to clear both side 40k without E2S1.

        • He’s got 3x the use rate alongside Therta compared to without, and faster clears on average to boot. His pull rate (based on available info) is higher than Phainon, Aglaea, Cerydra, Cipher, Hysilens, and maybe Evernight. Not Phainon/Cas levels of popularity obviously, but far from the least popular.

I 40k’d last PF with Therta on the non-primary ice weak side – E0S1 Therta/E0S0 Jade/E0S0 Tribbie/E0S1 Fu Xuan. Not a particularly OP team, and honestly could 40k with many different variations. You’re just bad.

Riddle me this – if Therta needs Anaxa more than Anaxa needs Therta – why do Therta only teams have clears on Lygus (AA), and Anaxa doesn’t?

From CN, JP, KR to even West, Anaxa’s ownership rate is pretty low. Rappa level of low. I have no idea as such where do you get your idea that MANY people have him as such when it’s the opposite. Riddle your own brain as such, as you seem to possess none. You seem to live in your own delulu world judging by both of your posts. • To be fair, 3.X did murder the whole Break archetype pretty hard, and we can’t be sure that won’t happen again. It didn’t happen right in 3.0, but by the time we got Castorice, Break just didn’t cut it anymore. I believe same will happen in 4.X: new units on their own won’t shake the meta too hard, but as we get to their premium teams at around 4.2 current meta teams will drop to barely playable status. So it’s a choice between getting a unit that will keep old teams a bit stronger for next 3 patches, or save up to start building a future meta comp. Cyrene is pretty much on a timer here, there has to be a good reason to go for a unit that’s doomed to disappear from meta really soon, and what she currently provides isn’t it.

        • That’s a more reasonable point, but the problem is, is that Cyrene just needs one connection of the like 13 she has to stay strong. And even then, if she’s not the strongest team (likely), we still see plenty of use of 2.x meta teams – Feixiao, FF, Acheron, JL, Yunli, to name a few – to clear MoC 12 or stages of AA.

          • “Cyrene just needs one connection of the like 13 she has to stay strong”
            Is she though?
Realistically, last ones to fall off the meta cliff would be supports and sustains. I can definitely see Tribbie or DHPT surviving until the end of 4.X and more, but I don’t think Cyrene does enough to justify wasting a slot just because she works with them, especially since she has massive issues getting her ult reasonably quick in teams that are not full CH/Remembrance.
And yes, old teams are still clearing moc – in particular those that got new toys, like how Tribbie happens to improve Feixiao teams, so I won’t expect them to be completely unplayable. But it’s easy to pick up an old team you already own and run it in endgame for no cost, where as this is about investing in that team further, instead of picking up new units.
Now, there’s a chance that they will tone down the powercreep in some way, and by the end of 4.X Amphoreus teams will be competitive with all the new stuff(perhaps with few new supports). In that case Cyrene would indeed be a worthwile addition. But I doubt that will happen, and even if it does, that’s what reruns are for.

      • ” Did that happen in 3.0? No.” – except IT DID!

        * Acheron was beyond washed. She was already barely hanging by a thread called JQ back in 2.X patches due to how much break and FUA dominated. You had to have extremely heavy investment into Acheron and her supports just so she can compete with these two archtypes at their minimum investments back then. Then 3.0 drops and THerta was literally Acheron 2.0 in terms of kit, except with Acheron’s E2 in her base kit aka better (at least than Acheron).

        * Content went hard AOE shilling so Feixao went bye-bye for anyone who wasn’t sustainless tryhard. It’s not that it’s impossible to play her (she has very good kit), but common! You can’t tell me that she didn’t “fell off” with AOE being shilled left and right because they were trying to sell you THerta (Acheron 2.0) as a “good unit” so you don’t realize just how much of a scam she was without high investment (much like Acheron). Funniest thing is that Feixiao in 2025 is best and most playable with you dropping her every previous “BiS team” (which was expensive as it is) that isn’t named Robin, and replace them with either classical wheelchair comp (Tribbie and Hyacine), or go sustainless with Feixiao-Robin-Tribbie-flex support. Meaning, if you were someone who was investing into that FUA FART coin, then you would need high investment just to compete with teams that 3.X brought, and even then, 3.X teams will be better.

        * Let us not even go into break. You know, the thing 2.X shilled the most? Remembrance of 2.X in terms of shilling and each unit being pumped to shill Firefly (Castorice) further? Yes, unless you were that dolphin (minimum) Firefly owner that had her at like E2S1 and had her full premium team (at E+ probably too), she was beyond cheeks in 3.0+ patches now. My Lingsha ended up being better break dps than my Firefly past 3.0+ due to how much cheeks she started to feel. So, unless you owned a thing like Rappa, whaled out Firefly with her premium team, or dps Lingsha I guess, you wouldn’t have a fun team as someone who spent time investing into break. If anything, you probably felt scammed as hell if you pulled Fugue right before 3.0, with Firefly (non-whale) being your only break dps due to how anti-break and anti-fire 3.0 and onwards got. Must’ve sucked if you skipped Sunday back then because you skipped a very good generic support unit that can be used almost anywhere (even in teams that he shouldn’t work for) for a niche unit whose niche got hard blocked just one patch later because Hoyo was done playing with break and fire element in particular. Bet it felt absolutely great to be scammed and then rugpulled just like that after you finished building that fire break Exodia. Well, supposedly there is a buff coming… in a form of a new unit of course. Have fun falling for it again, only so it lasts 2 patches max once more unless you are whaled out.

        * Bonus (not dps but is worth to mention as the biggest fall off with 3.0 and onward): Aventurine. People thought he was unstoppable in terms of sustain. Gallagher, 4*, ended with way more value long term than him precisely due to how hard 3.0 and onward got in terms of anti-preservation. He was just an “option” to something like THerta, but worse than Lingsha, Huohuo or even Gallagher with QPQ LC in that team. He just offered more “sustain” and that’s it. By the time 3.X patches started considering preservation again, Terravox came to be, was given to everyone for free, has better kit overall than Aventurine on sole fact that he can cleanse and his refresh is more reliable than depending on extremely aggressive enemies to do it consistently. Plus, he enables Sunday, already broken support, even further due to their synergy. In conclusion: Aventurine joined Luocha and Fu Xuan in terms of how hard he got F’d by content.

Many of your other “points” are dead wrong too, but not interested into dragging my post further. To make all of this short for ADHD TikTok rotten brains: People absolutely have every right in this world to be sceptical about everything in this game because this game has proven, time and time again, that you shouldn’t invest into anything or you get F’d in your own cheeks just few patches later. FOTM seems to be the only way this game likes to go.

        • >Acheron
I feel like we have widely different definitions of what is good or bad. When there’s content that’s suited for Acheron, I can still clear it with my relatively uninvested teams (E0S1 Acheron). Could clear it from 3.0-3.2 with pre-buff DoTcheron (frequently against strife when Therta was needed on other side), then when I pulled JQ (E0S0) by luck in 3.2 and picked up Cipher (E0S1) in 3.3 I cleared it with that. Does she brute force clear everything no matter what? No. Is she like Seele where she can’t clear anything without ridiculous investment? Also no.

          >Feixiao
Again the exact same issue, just even more exaggerated. Feixiao didn’t clear AoE content when she was new, she’s always been D-tier for PF, so when MoC became PF when Therta was new, of course she wasn’t the top pick. She’s still frequently at the top of the list with AS, but not with Tribbie Hyacine? It’s almost like 3.X introduced a fast supportive character that does follow-ups and is specifically tuned for single target damage…

          >Meaning, if you were someone who was investing into that FUA FART coin, then you would need high investment just to compete with teams that 3.X brought, and even then, 3.X teams will be better.
If you already had FART, you could make the 3.x teams, and then get better Feixiao teams by default for the same investment.

          >Firefly
You sound salty. I’d get it if she was literally useless, but it seems like they have to hold back the floodgates for her to not be relevant, because every time they venture close to 3 targets with (kind-of) fire weak, suddenly she’s the defacto pick. Her main issue is that the amount of 3.X Fire characters is ZERO. The fact that I ever bring her out is astounding since Fire apparently doesn’t exist in Amphoreous.

          >Skipping Sunday for Fugue
Hi, that’s me, I did that. No regrets, I picked him up later on the re-run. Himeko and Fugue is fun, and I will run that every chance I get.

          >Sustain
The thing 3.x has powercrept the most is sustains – that much is certain. But only in the damage/utility department. When the next yearly recap comes around, you’ll find me with 100% full clear rate of all content (outside of AA), and all of Amphoreous with my most used unit being Kafka during her buff patch, and the E1(it sucks) 3* multiplication LC having Luocha, being every single other month. My sustains pre-DHPT, WERE Luocha and E0S1 Fu Xuan (ft. Gallagher). I don’t even have Hyacine, Lingsha, or Aventurine. I’ll break out Gepard just to prove a point.

          >you shouldn’t invest into anything or you get F’d in your own cheeks just few patches later. FOTM seems to be the only way this game likes to go
          There’s two responses to this:
          >There’s no new characters I want to pull
Honestly should stop playing if they can’t interest you in design/kit/power at all.
          >Don’t pull they’ll just get powercrept in the future!
          So pull nothing ever?

Still a stupid argument. If you spent all your pulls vertically investing on pre-3.x teams, you’d probably be fine. If you kept those teams and pulled new units as you liked, you’re probably fine and have improved pre-3.x teams that come in handy from time to time.

O cruel democracy of thought and spite!
No crown endures when every tongue has steel,
and every heart may hurl its stone unseen.
Still—within the wound, a strange light gleams:

To bleed is proof I yet can hear and change.

          • I love the 3.x characters.
That is why it is even more upsetting to me that Cyrene is such a disappointment!

Why would I complain about a character that I do not like, being disappointing?

As soon as Acheron came in 2.x she instantly power crept all characters in 1.x
As soon as Madam Herta came in 3.0 she instantly power crept both Acheron and Feixiao (not to mention Firefly lol).

It is easy to see that HoYo is going to release characters in 4.x that will completely power creep all 3.x characters.
Cyrene would have been able to prevent that if her Kit wouldn’t be so horrible.

Since Cyrene’s Kit is bad, at best she might be useful until 4.x starts.
That is a really bad investment, for such a short time. Doesn’t worth it.
Also, since 3.x Characters are doing perfectly fine until 4.x comes, there is no reason to get Cyrene at all.
(Exept for her Character Design and Animations if someone is willing to Pull for looks only.)

Defending Cyrene’s horrible Kit design in any way is just dumb.
Anyone who understands how HSR works knows how bad she is!
